Max and Sadie had a fantastic walk this
morning along the back trail. It was the perfect weather to enjoy a nice trot
and the two of them were smiling from ear to ear in excitement. A short while
later, they were heading back outside again for a morning of play. Sadie was
thrilled to have the warm sun shining down on her; she followed the sun around
the yard and stretched out in various positions. Max and I were cuddling in the
far yard and when I looked over I saw Sadie sprawled out on the gravel, making sure
every inch of her body was sunbathing. Max wished his sister was more playful
today but she was too busy relaxing! I made sure to give Max all the attention
he could ever want and he was quite content with that. During our afternoon outing, it was Max who was feeling relaxed and cuddly! He climbed up behind me on the picnic table and gave me tons of kisses. He's such a big fella that I almost fell off the table!
Lola, much like her sister Pearl, were full
of beans today! They could hardly wait to get out of their kennel this morning
for their morning walk! Pearl enjoyed a walk with daycare pal Miko, while Lola
enjoyed a leisurely stroll out front with Katie. These sisters met back up
together with the rest of their small-legged friends moments later for some fun
in the yard! With no hesitation, Lola followed her sister Pearl out into the
yard instead of opting for a seat by the door like she usually does. The
weather was so nice and she insisted on making a few laps around of the yard.
But of course, she grew tired a short while later, so she found the perfect
seat in the sun for the rest of her time outside! Pearl on the other hand was too
busy exploring the yard; she was on a mission with her little nose to the
ground.
Miko had blast running out his energy with
little Chase this morning! These two were a match made in heaven and were perfectly
sized to play. Miko and Chase immediately ran towards one another when they
spotted each other in the yard and started jumping up on their hind legs in
excitement. It looked like they were dancing the tango. Then, Chase got a case
of the zoomies and started sprinting around the yard in a frenzy. Miko loved this
and tried his best to keep up! It was tongues out Tuesday that’s for sure, they
had played and ran so much that they were exhausted and panting by the time
they headed back inside for a cool drink.
Loki was back for another day of daycare today. He had so much fun yesterday and he was ready to do it all over again! He had a
nice walk upon arrival this morning with good pals Missy and Chase and he was
excited to see them back out in the yard a little while later. He was quite
amused with all the commotion Chase and Miko were stirring up in the yard. He
couldn’t help but wiggle his bum and tail every time they came closer but
didn’t want to join in the chase. He was too busy exploring the yard, getting
head rubs and enjoying the sun; a perfect way to spend his day!
Boris and Tasha met a new friend on their walk this morning,
and they just couldn’t wait to get out into the yard to play with her later on
during group time. Boris, Tasha and Haley made a great wrestling team, pouncing
all over one another. Percy was quick to run over and join in on the fun, too!
He chased after Boris and Tasha, barking away like a referee from the
sidelines. When they started to really wrestle, Percy looped around the yard in
search of a toy. He was thrilled when I waved a big rubber bone in his
direction, and ran over as fast as he could. I threw the toy for Percy, sending
him flying back across the yard to catch it. Meanwhile, Boris, Tasha and Haley
were racing back and forth, through and over the agility tunnel. Boris loved
Haley’s energetic and boisterous personality. She nosed and pawed at him,
getting him all wound up, and then would pounce on him or even jump over top of
him! Tasha couldn’t resist getting in on the games, of course, and although she
watched her son and his new friend some of the time, she was also often right
in on the action. Percy bounced his way in and out of the heart of the games
throughout his group time. During one of his breaks from playing, Percy went
over to the puddle and had a little fun splashing around. He was pleasantly
surprised when he came across a ball in the puddle, which he had dropped there
last week. Percy raced back over to Boris and Tasha with the ball still in his
mouth, barking and pouncing around once again.
Issy and Mocha spent another leisurely day at daycare. It
was a lovely day for relaxing, and Mocha did just that. After sitting at her
perch on the doorstep for a little while, I encouraged Mocha to come and join
the rest of the group in the yard. She followed me out, saying hello to Issy
and a couple of other friends along the way. She looked around and observed all
of the other dogs pouncing and running around, and decided to go back to her
usual spot by the door. I stopped her before she made it too far, though and
gave her a good pet. Issy followed her nose all around the yard, into the long
grass and over to the agility tunnel. She stopped to have a sniff in the grass
with her daughter, Tasha, and watched get grandson, Boris as he goofed around
with his pals. Eventually, once she’d thoroughly sniffed the yard, Issy made
her way back to the doorstep, where Mocha was soaking up some sunshine.
Kimi kept herself very busy throughout her group time, both
being playful and relaxed. She waited and watched as the other dogs flew around
the yard, bouncing off one another and the tunnel. Kimi sprung into action
after a moment or two and joined the chase with the other dogs. She loves to
run around with fellow huskies, Nyxx and Lola. These two goofballs are very
entertaining to watch, and Kimi loves to keep a close eye on their shenanigans.
She did quite a few laps around the yard, following close behind Nyxx and Lola,
among others. When it was time to take a little break, Kimi went back over
towards the door and the gate and stopped to sit and look out into the other
yard. She looked very relaxed sitting there with her eyes half closed and her
nose resting on the fence. I called her name and Kimi perked up when she looked
over and saw that I had a cookie in my hand just for her!
