Today Kimi started with a casual, calm, but positive attitude. She waited patiently at her kennel as we started to let out groups, and when it was her turn she bounded out the door. She quickly went to check out her surroundings and greet the other dogs who were also happy to see her! Kimi then went exploring, sniffing, and enjoyed herself with her friends. She also cuddled right up Delaney and spent quality time snuggling and socializing with everyone. Though the weather seemed dreary, Kimi was ready to face the day and remained as content and fun loving as ever! Later Kimi participated on a walk around the yard where she did even more exploring with her friends Oscar and Charlotte. As a team they traveled together, checking out any curiosities that may have crossed their paths. Kimi was happy to remain at a comfortable pace, and in the end, returned to her kennel like the polite dog she is. Kimi was a sweet, sensible pal today!

Nymeria is a bundle of joy who always looks to the bright side of every situation. She started off her day outside with a group of other playful dogs, and quickly took to playing with her friend Lola. Nymeria and Lola both excitedly began playing with the big red ball, and tossed it around between each other which was lots of fun! When Nymeria went for her walk with her friend Summit, they quickly got along and went to sniff and explore like they'd always been good buddies. Though it was quite rainy, Nymeria still had lots of fun discovering new smells and playing with the other dogs. She also behaved very well when returning into her kennel, and sat patiently when inside. Nymeria was energetic, despite the weather and even her positive energy cheered up some of the dogs who weren't as fond of the overcast! Through Nymeria's spirit and happiness, everyone really enjoyed themselves.
Nymeria was lots of fun during extra attention, and proudly dashed up front when it was her turn. She quickly scouted out some of the toys, and when she found one that she was really liked, she hopped up onto one of the comfy chairs so that she could enjoy her special time! She had a really good time just being herself!

Max and Sadie were really spirited today despite the weather. When out for their walk, they both sniffed and explored their surroundings curiously while still trotting onward through puddles. They both behaved in a calm and relaxed manner and when they returned, they walked right inside and into their kennel. Later when they were about to head back outside they both waited for their raincoats to be put on which made them look very adorable! Max then rushed outside to quickly sniff and explore his surroundings, whereas Sadie hung back and took her taking in all the new smells. Max and Sadie also went looking for cuddles and pats which I was happy to give, and really showed their sweet and affectionate side! Sadie was happy to hang around me and when Max felt like he needed cuddles he would run over and join us. When we went back inside, Max and Sadie calmly waited until they we undressed to curl up on their beds for a midday nap. Max and Sadie's bright personalities really lightened up the day!

Fez and Rex had such a great day, despite the weather! Fez enjoyed a short stroll down the driveway with his friend Sophie this morning. The two seniors took their time exploring the grass and checking out everything that caught their interest. Luckily the rain had let up a little bit just in time for their walk. Rex joined Oreo, Stella and I for a longer walk around the field. There were so many puddles and while the other two were hopping over them, Rex happily bounced right through the middle of them. At one point he flopped right over and started rolling around in the water! I quickly shooed him out so he wouldn’t get soaking wet, but he looked so pleased with himself that I had to laugh. After that, Fez and Rex met up with their group in the yard. Fez was happy to stroll around and spent plenty of time cuddling with his new friend Violet. Once he was satisfied with all of the attention, he moved along to sniff near the fence. There was some fresh green grass for him to munch on and Fez just happily moseyed his way down the fence. Rex had discovered that the outdoor kennels were a great place to stay sheltered from the rain. He was sniffing around in one of them when suddenly Rex chanced upon a toy bone. I picked it up for him and Rex got ready to run. He had a bit of competition between him and Oscar, although Oscar was more interested in just playing so Rex managed to get the toy every time. Eventually he left the bone and went to wrestle with Oscar for a while.

Jack and Maggie are such cuties. They were happy to start the day and trotted outside with the rest of their group to see what was new in the yard. Later on, since it was raining so hard, the two of them had a short stroll together. They took their time sniffing around in the grass, but they were both happy to get back to their beds afterwards! Fortunately the rain had slowed down by the time we headed out for their group’s rotation. Jack immediately trotted over to see what Keegan was up to and joined him to explore the yard. He made sure to give every clump of grass and each puddle a thorough sniff before moving along. Once Keegan had slipped away, Jack decided to see what Kouza was up to and headed over to keep her company while they adventured around the yard. Maggie, on the other hand, was happier in the company of people. She stuck around with Violet and I for some cuddles and posed for a couple of pictures before Maggie decided to venture further into the yard. She, Jack and Keegan met up again and gave each other some friendly sniffs before they parted ways. The group was rather quiet, and Jack and Maggie had a very relaxing day!
For their extra attention, the two of them came up to reception with us for some snuggles. They explored the toy bin and all of the toys on the floor, and also said hello to their friend Julie. Jack and Maggie enjoyed a nice back rub and then were happy to lounge around on a bed in the office with me while I wrote blog.

Keegan was very excited for his walk this morning. He was bouncing from foot to foot and could hardly wait for me to put the leash on. Once he was ready to go, we got his friends Hamish and Scout, and then headed out. The three of them had quite the challenge trying to avoid all of the puddles! Keegan led the way and did most of the navigating. He made sure to stop and sniff each clump of grass that seemed interesting. For Keegan’s group later, he met up with Hamish, Scout and a few other small dogs. He ignored the rain and made a beeline for the grassy area, where there were plenty of scents to check out. Keegan explored for a little while and then trotted over to see what we were up to. He said hello to me, let me pat his head and moved on to cuddle with Violet. After some snuggles, Keegan went to socialize with a few of his friends. The little guys got cold quite quickly so Keegan was happy to head inside for a warm and snug nap in his kennel!
After his walk this morning, Keegan and I headed up front for his extra attention. He raced around the room trying to check everything out. Of course, Keegan was mostly excited about the treats he knew he would be getting. After he finished exploring, I got him a few little treats and had him show me some tricks. Then I found him a squeaky ball and we played fetch for a bit.

Kouza seemed to be quite perky today. Lucky for her, her cone kept her face out of the rain while she was outside. She started her day off with a nice walk down the driveway. Everything must have smelled very fresh and Kouza enjoyed nosing through the grass. It was, however, raining quite hard and Kouza was happy to head back to her cozy kennel where she got some cuddles and took a nap before groups. When we headed into the yard later, the weather had cleared up just a bit and Kouza was able to explore the yard while staying dry. She was careful to avoid the puddles and wandered around in the grass to sniff anything that caught her attention. After Kouza had finished checking things out, I headed over to cuddle with her. She was happy to snuggle with me and gave the camera a quick sniff while I took pictures. Kouza got a nice scratch behind the ears and then went to continue wandering through the yard, this time with her friend Jack to keep her company.
For Kouza’s extra attention, she got to hang out up front with us. She seemed to know exactly where to go as we headed to the reception area and immediately got to work exploring the room. There were lots of toys laying around that Kouza found quite interesting and spent some time pushing them around with her nose. Then I grabbed her a couple of carrots, and Kouza showed off her skills by lying down before I even asked her to do anything! She’s such a sweetheart.

Gracie spent her day relaxing in the kitchen, her favourite spot! She loves to say hello to everyone going in and out. For her walk today, Gracie met up with her friend Barley and the two of them set out to conquer the puddle-ridden field. Gracie carefully picked the driest pathway while Barley plowed through the water without a care in the world. Gracie took her time to check out the trail while she walked. It must have smelled quite earthy with all of the rain. After that, it was time for groups and Gracie happily followed the others outside and set out to explore the yard. There was a big puddle right in the center and while other dogs were going back and forth through it, Gracie was her ladylike self and decided not to get her paws wet. Instead, she stuck to the dry spot and sniffed around by the fence. Then she headed over to see what I was up to, and enjoyed a nice back rub. She always has a very thoughtful look on her face. We snuggled for a bit longer, and after that Gracie went to see what Molly was doing. She continued to adventure around the yard and say hello to the other dogs that crossed her path.
Gracie and I headed to the reception for her extra attention today. I had a few games planned out to keep her busy. First, we started with the basic tricks, which Gracie happily performed in return for a couple treats. She seemed eager to shake a paw with me and kept offering me one. After Gracie had finished showing off her skills, I got out the paw puzzle and put some treats in it. She wasn't sure what to do at first, but once I moved it around a bit she understood and started pushing pieces open to get at the treats. We then played a game of "find the treat" - I had Gracie sit and wait while I placed some snacks around the room. We finished off her extra attention with a couple more activities.
