Fez and Rex had another exciting day with us. They were both eager to start their morning, and Rex was bouncing at his kennel door once he realized that it was time for walks. He could hardly wait long enough for me to put the leash on! We met up with his friends Max and Oscar, and headed out for what I knew would be a fun walk. The boys were quite energetic and they raced each other through the yard, heading out in all different directions once we reached the trail. Rex, as usual, was in love with the puddles and happily splashed through each one. Everybody was in a playful mood and were bumping shoulders the whole walk. Meanwhile, Fez was enjoying a more relaxing walk, better suited to his tastes. He was content to stroll down the driveway and take in all of the interesting smells. Later, it was time for groups, and both he and Rex hurried out the door to join their group. We headed to the agility yard today, which had some puddles for the dogs to work around but lots of space for them to play. Fez happily followed me around and soaked up all the attention. He loves his cuddles, that's for sure! I gave him a nice scratch behind the ears and then Fez moved along to say hello to the rest of his group. He greeted Juno and Max, and sat back to watch the others running around. Rex, of course, was in the middle of the activity. Soon after we had come outside, Rex had discovered a rope toy and was parading it around - ignoring the fact that it was sopping wet! He then noticed Juno and Oscar playing, and decided he couldn't be left out. Rex went racing over and leaped on top of Oscar. He and the others, soon joined by Max, had a great time chasing each other around the yard. Whenever there was a moment of downtime, Rex would go running back to check up on his toy.

Kimi had quite the day! She started things off with a walk, and Kimi was more than happy to get on the trail and start exploring. Right away she had her nose in the grass and was trotting along, focused only on sniffing. The walk was quite relaxing and Kimi was happy to snuggle up in her bed for a nap afterwards. Soon, though, she was back on her feet as it was time for groups. Kimi took it upon herself to keep everyone's shenanigans under control. While Nymeria, Lola and Nyxx were bouncing around, Kimi stayed alert and keep one eye on them at all times. She decided to check out the yard and navigated her way around the puddles to places were there was lots to sniff. While exploring, Kimi bumped into their new group-mate, Icarus, and gave him a warm welcome. The other huskies came bounding over and Kimi found herself in the middle of the activity. Right away she decided to pick up the pace and went flying after Nymeria and Lola as the girls raced for the agility tunnel. Nymeria dove inside while Kimi stood guard at the entrance, ready to chase anyone that moved. I could tell that Kimi was trying to keep herself composed, though she was having so much fun! When Nymeria slipped out of the tunnel and raced across the yard again, Kimi was right on her tail. They ran a few laps before returning to the tunnel, which Lola was currently perched on top of. She and Kimi had a brief wrestling match in which Kimi attempted to push her off, then Lola hopped down and the girls wandered off together to sniff around.

Nymeria, as usual, was the center of activity today. On her walk, she was very excited and bouncing in circles. She hardly seemed to notice the puddles and splashed through them without a care in the world. During groups, Nymeria was just as energetic and wasted no time racing over to her friend Lola. There were plenty of playful huskies in Nym's group and she loved it! At first everyone just wanted to explore, so Nymeria decided to say hello to their new friend Icarus. She didn't seem to realize that he was smaller than she was, and happily knocked him over as if he was her own size. He didn't care, though, and was soon playing with Nymeria and Lola. Then Lola went racing to the tunnel, with Nymeria in hot pursuit. She spun around at the entrance and defended what she had now claimed as her tunnel while Nymeria attempted to slip past her. The two of them wrestled until Nyxx bounced over and jumped in the middle of it. Soon the group had Icarus and Kimi following them around as well. Nymeria chose Nyxx as the target and easily tackled him to the ground. Once he hopped to his feet to get back at her, Nymeria went sailing across the yard with the others right behind her. Lola had left the tunnel unattended, so Nym took this chance to steal it from her. Everyone was pretty much moving non-stop for the rest of the group, between chasing each other or wrestling at the tunnel.
Nymeria and I headed outside for her extra attention after walks. Once she was secured to the leash, Nym was happy to explore the hill and wander around in the grass. I found her a Frisbee, and although Nymeria acted very excited about it, she turned around and pretended to be more interested in the puddles once I threw it. In return for some treats, Nymeria politely showed off how well she could sit and shake a paw. We had a nice cuddle before I took her on a stroll down the driveway, and then made our way to the door as it was getting quite chilly outside!

Gracie certainly seems to enjoy being the center of attention in the staff room. She spends most of her time in there lounging around on her bed, or jumping up to say hello to anyone entering the room. Of course, she was just as happy to get outside on her walk this morning. Gracie made sure to be very thorough while exploring the trail, and took her time to sniff each clump of grass. Her friend Barley took the lead and Gracie trotted after him, enjoying the fresh air. It certainly was nicer than yesterday! Next up, it was groups. Gracie seemed to know exactly what time it was and peeked through the staff room window at me before I even opened the door. She hurried outside with Marley and Molly right on her tail. The group made their way to the agility yard, where Gracie had so much new space to explore! Right away she got to work nosing around in the grass. Marley decided to keep her company while they were wandering around, and occasionally gave Gracie a friendly lick on the nose. Once Gracie had sniffed one side of the yard, she trotted through the puddles to reach high ground where she could continue her adventure. Eventually, most of the yard had been covered, so Gracie headed over to say hello to me. She sat down patiently at my feet and modeled for the camera, before nuzzling my hands in search of cuddles.

Maggie and Jack were very excited to spend the day in the cozy kitchen today. We thought it would be the perfect spot for them since they'd get to see everyone as they were coming in and going out of the kitchen. Each time I went to let the two of them out today, Maggie and Jack were both cuddled up, not quite sure if they were awake enough to go outside yet. However they slowly woke up and followed me to the back each time. When we got outside for their long play group, Jack and Maggie were very fascinated by the water in the yard. They didn't want to go into it and get their paws wet, but boy did they ever get distracted by it. I found Maggie sniffing along our kiddie pool that was full of water. She sniffed around the whole pool but wouldn't ever put a paw in. Jack followed the slow stream of water in the yard as the wind pushed it. At one point there was a big gust of wind and Jack got a little splash of water on his nose. He was a little startled but I don't think he cared because he continued to sniff around. I found a stuffed toy in the yard which I knew Maggie would love. As soon as I brought it over to her, Maggie's ears perked completely up. I had her full attention so I let her sniff the stuffy for a second and then threw it up in the air. Maggie loved hopping up to try and get the toy out of the air. Even when I was simply holding it in my hand, Maggie was in a half play bow, waiting to hop up once more. Jack was ready for some snuggles towards the end of the group time. He trotted over to me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before turning around so that I could scratch his back for a little while. Afterwards I gave his head a little rub as well. When it came time for Maggie and Jack's extra attention, I went into the kitchen to find the two of them snoozing the day away. They were both so warm and snugly that I decided to spend the first part of their extra attention time in the kitchen with them. I brought in a few of their treats and they were so excited. Jack was ready to chomp down on them as soon as he saw them in my hand. Maggie wanted to sniff each and every piece before deciding to eat them. After a little bit of snuggling, the three of our journeyed to the front reception for a little while. Jack was still in a snugly mood so he stayed beside me for the most part. Maggie was pretty excited to play this afternoon. She kept doing the same little jumps that she had done in her group time when I held up a toy for her. Every time she caught the stuffy, Maggie would go lay down on a blanket a sniff the toy over and over again.

Coco and Timbits were ecstatic to be here for another day of daycare. The duo ran down the hallway as fast as they could and immediately jumped into their kennel. However, since they were running so far ahead of me, Timbits got the chance to sneak back out of his kennel and give me a quick kiss on the cheek before returning. When it came for their outdoor play group, Coco and Timbits barreled down the hallway and went running right out of the door. As soon as Coco got outside, it was time to sniff. She started sniffing along the outdoor wall, and then she moved over to the fence. Coco kept going back and fourth between the two which made her look like she was zig-zagging around the yard. Timbits was ready to play the moment he stepped outside. He zoomed right into the far grass yard to say hello to a few new friends. On his way back to greet me, Timbits stopped to say hello to everyone he passed. As soon as he had finished sniffing his friends, Timbits was running full speed ahead towards me and greeted me with his little front paws jumping up on my legs. I got him to chase me around the yard to burn off a little bit of energy. A little bit later I had found a toy bone in the yard and knew I needed to show it to the little duo. As soon as Coco and Timbits saw it I had their full attention. The two of them started jogging towards me and I wasn't quite sure who was going to end up with it. Timbits took his turn chewing and sniffing the bone and he surprisingly offered it up to Coco once he had finished.

Keegan was full of spunk today. When I saw him this morning, Keegan was wide awake and bouncing around his kennel ready to go go go! He took his time getting outside though because there were of course so many smells in the hallway. I'm sure he stopped at each kennel but eventually made his way outside. When it came time for his long outdoor play group, Keegan was just as excited to get up and moving once more. I thought the rain might put a damper on his mood but it was not affected in the slightest way! He trotted outside and didn't seem to bother with anyone in the yard except for me. He was in quite a cuddly mood for this group outing. He'd come running up and rub his back against my leg so that I knew he wanted to be pet. It was so funny because any time I would stop, Keegan would circle around and come back as if to remind me to pet him a little longer. What a cutie. When he wasn't cuddling with me, Keegan was exploring the water. He even got into the puppy pool that was filled with rain water! Keegan could wait to begin his extra attention today. He ran so fast down the hallway that I almost couldn't keep up. As soon as Keegan got to the reception, he saw Susan sitting at the front desk and decided he just had to greet her with plenty of kisses. Once he had finished saying hello, I brought Keegan over to me so that we could practice a few tricks. As per usual, Keegan was more than ready to show off with his amazing sits, lay downs, and paws. I'm trying to get him to rollover but it'll still take some time. However his effort was wonderful. After his tricks, Keegan was excited to get some extra treats simply for being a good boy. I put a few of them in his favorite puppy puzzle. As soon as he saw the puzzle, Keegan was jumping all over the reception because he knew exactly what was to come. After he had gotten them all out of the puzzle, Keegan was ready to cuddle for a little while before going back to his kennel. I sat up on a comfy chair with him and I could swear he was smiling up at me the whole time.
