Simon, Monte, and Tessa were all quite happy to get outside. The three of them set off to tour around the yard. Tessa soon came bouncing my way to get some pets. She then went and rejoined her brothers, who were checking something out by the fence. Tessa and Simon split up to head out and do some more exploring around the yard. Monte spotted a ball and went bouncing over to snatch it up. He then went frolicking around the yard with it. Monte then stopped running to lay in the grass and wait. It didn’t take long for Simon to go running over to see why Monte had stopped running. I headed over as well and stole the ball. The two of them stood staring at me waiting for me to throw it. They went racing after it, but Monte to got to it first. Instead of bring the ball back Monte took of racing with Simon close on his heels. Eventually Monte did bring the ball back and we did it all over again. Though this time Flora joined them. Tessa let them have their fun, content to continue exploring around the yard. Simon needing a bit a break and curious about what Tessa was looking at, went trotting over to join her for a bit. Shortly after Tessa took off racing for Monte. They went tearing around the yard until Monte laid down in the grass once more. Tessa used this as an opportunity to make him wrestle with her. Simon decided to let them have fun and came over for a visit with me. He plopped himself down on my lap and demand all my attention.

Finnigan was full of energy and couldn’t wait to start playing. He was quick to meet up with Maverick. Finnigan asked him to play, but Maverick wanted to check on something first. Finnigan then ran off to see if maybe Isis might want to join him. Maverick went racing past on his way to the far yard and Finnigan went racing after him. Once in the far yard, Finnigan went bouncing around looking for someone to play with. Along the way he found himself a ball. Finnigan was quite happy with his discovery and had some fun tossing it around for himself. Sky went over to see what he had. After she’d checked it out and left, Finnigan settled down to have a nice chew on it. He didn’t stay there long and went bouncing off to see what Ranger was up to. Finnigan then took of racing once more. Isis and Shyla soon joined Finnigan. A little while later Maverick joined in as well.

Ranger headed out into the yard and was quick to start sniffing things. He lifted his head long enough to see who all was in the group and then went right back to exploring. Ranger made sure that he had checked out the main yard very thoroughly before he moved onto the far yard. His explorations continued in the far yard. Along the way Finnigan joined him. Ranger stopped exploring to see how Finnegan was doing. That done Ranger continued on his way. He did another tour around the yard before making his way over to the agility jump. Ranger spent some time checking it over. He then noticed the rest of the group congregated over by the fence. Not wanting to miss out Ranger headed over to join them.

Maverick went racing off into the yard. He then realized Ranger was looking at something near the door. Maverick spun around and went to see what he was looking at. Along the way Finnigan tagged along and tried to convince him to play. Maverick was determined to see what Ranger found interesting and didn’t want to play just yet. When he was finished, Maverick took off racing for the far yard. I think he was going to go racing around the yard but Shyla and Isis looking at something by the tunnel stopped him. He made his way over to give the tunnel a very thorough examination. When Maverick was done with the tunnel he came over for a quick visit with me. He then took off racing for the main yard. Maverick came racing back when Shyla started to play with Finnigan and Isis. I thought he was going to join them, but instead he came and plopped himself at my feet for some more pets. When he’d had enough love he went and joined Shyla and friends. Shyla left to do some exploring. Maverick and the other two played for a bit longer before going and joining Shyla.

Shyla started her morning with some exploring. She went around the main yard before heading out to the far yard. Shyla headed over to the tunnel and spent some time checking it out with Isis. Maverick came and joined them after a little while. When she finished with tunnel Shyla headed off to do some exploring in the grass. Finnigan started to race around with Isis. Shyla couldn’t resist the fun and went racing after them. They all had a great time running around together. After Maverick came and joined them Shyla left to go and check out something by the fence. It wasn’t long before the rest of the group joined her. Shyla wasn't finished playing, though and went to paw at Finnigan. He happily accepted her invitation to play and took off running once again. Finnigan, Maverick and Shyla all ran around the yard over and over again until they couldn't run anymore.

Kai made her way out the door and paused. She sat and had a good scratch. Kai then shook herself off and went trotting out into the yard. She was very focused on exploring everything today. Kai’s nose touched the grass and she was off. She went all around the yard determined to figure out whatever the scent was. Kai took a little break to come of for a visit, but was soon back to exploring. She didn’t stay away long and was soon back asking for more pets and scratches. We spent quite some time just hanging out together. Eventually Kai left me and went to check out the tunnel. She got about half way in and then rethought her choice and practically shot out backwards. Kai was then happy to sit by my side and enjoy a good ear scratch for practically the rest of our time outside together.

Kaos and Shenzi came in today with loads of energy. They were bouncing around in their kennel when I went to go and take them for a walk. As soon as we got outside they both calmed down and decided to take it easy along the trail to enjoy the nice weather. During groups outside, Kaos was super playful as soon as she stepped foot out the door. She ran into the agility yard and began to run around in circles as she looked for a playmate. Meanwhile, Shenzi took it a little slower and rotted around the yard while stopping to say hi to the other dogs. She always has her eye on Kaos and watches her whenever they aren’t together. So whenever Koas starts to play, Shenzi is never too far behind and she runs up to join in. Today, as Kaos began to play with Zak, they stated to wrestle a bit and jump on top of one another as Kaos chased him. Shenzi ran over from the other side of the yard and jumped up on Zak as well! The two of them were trying to get him on the ground but he was too quick and ran off making them chase him around the entire agility yard. They weren’t playing the whole time though, they had to take breaks of course and Kaos ran over to take a drink out of the pool while Shenzi followed her. After they were done getting hydrated, Shenzi took a nice nap in the sun and layed down while Kaos continued to explore.

Zak is such a wild boy! He always has so much energy and isn’t afraid to use t in the yard. He loves to play but he’s also very affectionate when he wants to be and if you call him over to you he would love to give you lots of kisses. When I called him over to me today when I was sitting on a rock he got so excited as I was petting him he jumped up and almost knocked me over! He started playing almost immediately with Kaos and Shenzi. Zak was loving all of the attention they were giving him too. They chased Zak all around the yard as he was running as fast as he can so they wouldn’t catch up to him. Whenever they did, Zak turned around quickly then play bowed toward them until they paused, then he would take off running again. After Zak was all worn out from his big game of tag he made his way over to the pool where he stepped in right away. After splashing around in the water for a bit he decided to lay right down in it and stay there for a few minutes to cool off as Bella decided to join in and start to play with the others. Bella kept to herself at first when she got outside. She walked into the agility yard and strolled around while exploring for a little while before walking back to the door and sitting in the shade. I called her back over to us and she trotted on over then ran between my legs to say hi to me. As I pet her I could tell she began to get distracted by the other dogs seeing as they were playing and running around. She stared at Kaos and Shenzi and ran over to them as they were playing together. She got so excited and began to chase them to the other end of the yard. As Bella was chasing Kaos and Shenzi, they ran into the agility tunnel and she stopped at the end of it so she stuck her head in and started to bark until they ran out and she could continue on with the game.

Will had such a nice day outside today with his group. He spent it with all of the huskies and they all got along great. They all seem to really like Will and they pay a lot of attention towards him, which he loves of course. Will ran out into the agility yard and began to explore right away. He wandered around and walked along the rocks as he sniffed on the ground. After a little bit he stopped exploring when he didn’t find anything exciting and ran over to the other dogs to say hi. They’d been following him earlier but he was too focused on all the scents he smelled to look up. When he was saying hi to everybody they all sniffed each other then he started to play with Kyah. She was loving Will and followed him around wherever he went. When he wasn’t looking she would jump up on his back and try to wrestle but he would jump back and start to run which would lead into a game of tag. Will and Kyah ran around a lot together and were occasionally joined by the other huskies, Magic, Justice and Sage.

Maggie was such a happy girl when she was outside during her group today. She trotted along into the agility yard behind all of the other dogs that were also in her group and walked all the way to the furthest end of the agility yard. She started to sniff along the fence and explore as the other dogs began to socialize with each other. I called her over to me to say hi and it took a few times before she made her way over. Maggie ran over with such a big smile on her face and as I was petting her she shoved her head in my lap to let me know not to stop. Eventually I did and she ran over to go and see the other dogs, saying hi to everyone except Chigo. He was so excited that he ran up to Maggie on his own before she even made it over to him. He ran up and gave her a sniff and he started to get so playful and excited that he began to bounce around her with joy. Maggie sat there with her tongue hanging out as Chigo was enjoying himself. After he was done bouncing around Maggie he ran over to me when he saw that I had a rubber Frisbee in my hand. He ran up and tried to snatch it out of my hand when I held it up in the air so he couldn’t reach it. He sat there politely waiting for me to throw it and then ran as fast as he could to the grass where he scooped it up and showed it off to everyone. When I tried to get it back to throw it again for him he latched onto it harder and didn’t want to let go. We ended up playing a game of tug a war that he won.

Extra Attention:

After Will's walk, the two of us spent a bit of time out in the front yard. We started off just wandering round together on the long rope out front. Will loved the freedom of being able to run around the entire front yard. Afterwards, I got his attention with a rubber ball and we played fetch for a while, which I think is Will's new favorite game! He has trouble with the "bringing back the ball" part of the game but he still enjoyed it all the same. After, we took a break from that and snuggled on the grass. Will laid down in front of me and relaxed for a while, while I pet his belly and rubbed his ears. He sure loves a good ear rub! While I was rubbing his ears, he burried his face into my lap, with his tail wagging so hard it was hitting his side and then the side of my leg and back again. When he had enough time relaxing, Merida came in to the front field and she and Will went for a little rip around the yard! Will was right on Merida's tail, chasing her around. Once Merida went inside, Will caught a sight of the rope toy in the corner of his eye and completely bolted towards it, running so fast that he ran right over it and had to back track! We both had such a fun morning together and Will is looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow!
