Saturday May 14th, 2016

Will is so full of energy and it really shows when he's getting ready to go outside for a walk. He bounced up and down all around his kennel while I tried to hook him up to the leash. Will being the silly boy he is, took a while to stand still so that I could put it on but once we got outside there was no stopping him and off he went to explore. He ran right to the end of his leash and began to take in all the new smells that were scattered around the trail. Back and forth he went from one side of the trail to the other racing around trying to see what was there. When walks were done I could tell he was already looking forward to going back outside to explore more. After a little while of waiting it was time to go and play outside with his friends. He ran around the yard in excitement and went on an exploration mission. Will went all around searching the yard for treasure hoping that something cool would pop up that he could show to his friends. During his search he met up with Hercules and the two of them played together for the rest of the time. Will also came up with me during lunch while I wrote the Pet Journal for some extra attention.

Kai is such a cutie and I love being able to spend time with such an adorable dog. I first saw her this morning when I decided to go into her kennel and give her lots of extra cuddles. She absolutely loved the attention I gave her and was very when she got a belly rub. When it was time for me to go she was still very happy and I couldn't wait to spend more time with her outside during groups. She went for a nice walk after our one on one time and from what I could see she had a great time. Walks finished and it was time to go outside and play. Kai ran out as fast as she could and greeted all of her friends that were out there with her. She had lots of fun running around with everyone but then decided she needed a little alone time so she went and explored. She went around both yards without lifting her nose from the ground because she knew if she did she would lose the scent she had been following. Kai had lots fun outside today as she roamed around in search of a cool smell.

Athena, Aphrodite and Hercules are just all so adorable and I was so excited when I heard that they were in this weekend. I went to greet Athena and Aphrodite in their kennel and I got a big hello lick on the cheek from both of them. I stayed in their kennel with them for a little while longer until I thought it was only fair to go and spend some time with Hercules too. He was a lot more excited than his sisters were and at first I couldn't sit down with him because he would have sat right on top of me! He was very happy though when I pet him and give him some cuddles. After our cuddle time it was time to go for a walk and I got to take Athena and Aphrodite with me. They both had lots of fun and followed their noses in search of lots of cool smells. When walks were over it was time to go out and play with their friends. Athena and Aphrodite had fun exploring around the yard together and taking turns coming to see me for some extra cuddles. Hercules on the other hand went and played with Chloe for the day and he thought it was great to have a playmate that was full of beans like him. All three of them had such a great day today I had lots of fun spending time with them.

Leah and Poppy are both very cute and love to explore together. They started their day with me when we went outside for groups. Leah was very exited and immediately ran around with her nose to the ground trying to find a scent that she could track. Poppy, who loves to be with her sister, decided that she would follow behind her and help her track the smell. Finally after a while of searching Leah found a scent that she liked and the two of them went on a hunt to find it. They both searched high and low and Poppy being the good sister she is went back around for a second time so that she could make sure that the thing they were looking for wasn't there. After a while of searching, the girls each went off to a different part of the yard. Leah came to find me for some cuddles, which I happily gave her and when Poppy saw all the extra cuddles her sister was getting she had to come over too. Poppy also enjoyed hanging out and when our one on one time was over it was time to go in until the next group time came.

Tucker is just such a silly boy and his happy face is a great sight at the start of the day. He was very excited to see me and started crying to be pet so I found myself going into his kennel to give him some extra attention. Once that was done it was time to go for a walk together with his buddy Charlie. They were both very excited to see each other and ran around in circles while smelling each other as a greeting. While we were outside Tucker ran around with Charlie taking in all the cool smells on the trail. He had so much fun on his walk and was very exited for groups afterwards. Before groups could get started Tucker and I went out front to play fetch together which he thought was really fun. Finally it was time to go out with his group and have some fun with all of the other dogs. Tucker took some time to bark at the group and then went to explore with his pal Charlie. Tucker, also being a silly and loving boy, had to come over and see me for some cuddles, which I was happy to give. He had a wonderful time today and was very happy and tired by the end of the day.

Molly was very excited this morning when I came to her kennel holding up a leash, which signified that we were going for a walk. I quickly hooked her up to the leash and we went and grabbed one of her friends to walk with us. She had lots of fun running around on the trail with me running behind her trying to keep up so she wouldn't have to miss out on anything. When we got back inside it was time for groups which made Molly even more excited. She ran out with all of her friends following closely behind her. She spent the first little bit of her time exploring around the yard and taking everything in until she came across a toy. She just had to have the toy and she excitedly brought it over to me to show it off. Being very sneaky, I took the toy and threw it for her, she got up right away and chased after it as fast as she could. We played fetch for the rest of our time outside and it made her very happy every time she saw that toy flying through the air.

Tatoo is so cute and I got to see him bright and early this morning for our walk. He was very excited and raced out the door to see what has changed since he was last in. He immediately put his nose to the ground and started sniffing. He walked around the trail like this the entire time because there was just so many new smells to take in. We finally came back in and Tatoo had a huge smile on his face from how happy he was. His day got even better when it was time to go outside again with all his friends. He took some time outside to explore but he had done enough of that during our walk so instead he thought it would great to come over and cuddle with me the whole time. It was very sweet and he would sometimes almost knock me over from leaning against me while I pet him. He even rolled over onto his back at one point and I gave him a nice big belly rub. I had lots of fun cuddling with him.

Maverick and Shyla are both very adorable and I love taking extra time to go and visit with them. Maverick always being the daring and adventurous one comes right up to me and stands on my leg while he gets cuddled. He loves it and you can tell on his face because he gets this goofy dog grin as I scratch him. Shyla was also enjoying hanging out together and even gave me a big lick on the cheek. Once we were done with cuddles, I got the chance to take them outside on the trail for their walk. They both had a wonderful time smelling on both sides of the trail. When that was done it was off to play with their friends outside and Maverick, who is so full of energy, ran right out. He explored the yard and then ran around with some of the others after a while too. Shyla wandered around while exploring and stuck close to her brother Maverick and some of her friends. They both had a really great day and I enjoyed spending time with them.

Maple is such an energetic girl and it's so much fun. I saw Maple in the morning during group time and boy even after walks she was still running around like she had just woken up. She ran as fast as she could past the others and didn't stop and veer when one got in the way instead she went and jumped right over them. It was really funny to watch because she was just so excited so she ran a few laps of the yard to let her wiggles out. This calmed her only slightly because she saw some of her friends in the other part of the yard and went sprinting over to say hello. I bet that girl could run for days!

Maggie G. and I saw each other when I was lucky enough to take her for a walk. She was very excited and ran out as soon as the door opened. Once we got on the trail she was just so excited that she began running back and forth looking at all of the long grass and sniffing along the sides. She had lots of fun doing that, but nothing was as fun as groups were after. Maggie enjoyed going outside to explore with all of her friends. She spent her entire time outside looking around the yard and exploring trying to find something that had this really great smell. Maggie only lifted her nose from the ground to come and say hello to me. She got right back at it though and she had a good time following her nose for most of group time.

Lola is just such a sweetie and I saw that today during groups when she kept coming over to see me for some cuddles. Being as adorable as she was, I had to give her as many cuddle times as I could and she always came back to spend some more time with me. When she wasn't cuddling with me she was off roaming around the yard with her friends but it wouldn't be long into her exploring that she would take a quick break to come check  again. When that was done it was time to come up front with me while I wrote the Pet Journal for her extra attention. She had lots of fun up front and got lots of extra cuddles from me and she also got to play with her pal Will who was also up in the reception area. She had a wonderful day today and I think she though that all the extra attention was great.

Boris and Tasha fit right in with their group today – all huskies! Everyone was in the mood to play. They wasted no time running into the yard to get started. Boris immediately jumped on his sister, Magic, and both of them ended up sprawled on the ground. Tasha then raced over to help Magic out. The two girls climbed on top of Boris. Then the other three, Justice, Daytona and Talladega came thundering into the middle of the pile and soon everybody was on their feet and running around. Boris took turns playing with all of the dogs, and Tasha preferred to stick with Magic and Justice, although a few times she was running around with the entire group. When everyone paused for a break, Tasha came over to cuddle with me and sniff around the yard for a bit, while Boris wandered over to the pool. There was a bit of rainwater in it. He thought this was fascinating and climbed right it. Not long after, the dogs had recovered from their play session and were ready to run around. Boris instigated the play once again by leaping on Magic, and soon everybody was running, spinning and jumping on one another. They certainly had a fun-filled day today!

Keegan kept things quieter today. He started by exploring the yard, checking out all of the interesting scents, and chewing on some grass. During his adventures, he came across a bone. Keegan was delighted by this discovery and decided to carry it around for all of his friends to see. Then he saw me taking pictures and forgot all about his toy. He came running over and practically leaped into my lap, trying to climb all over me and lick my face. What a cutie! He then returned to sniffing around the yard, where he bumped into Cooper. The two of them played for a bit. Keegan jumped onto a rock to get a better vantage point and then decided to stay there and supervise the other dogs for a while.

Cooper is such a cutie. He always seems to have a smile on his face, and today was no exception. He was definitely in a happy mood! During groups he ran around and said hello to everyone, before stopping to get some attention from me. After we cuddled I found a Frisbee for him to play with. Cooper was so excited. He went racing after it when I threw it, and then ran around it and came flying back to see if I had anything else. By the time I found another toy for him, Cooper had forgotten all about it and went wandering off to find a friend to play with. He ran around with Keegan for a bit. The two of them were jumping onto rocks and Cooper even ran through the tunnel! Eventually Keegan wanted a break, so Cooper came back to sit with me for a while, before returning to the yard to sniff around.

Apple and Sky had a great walk this morning. The weather was very nice, not too cold or too hot, and the two of them just strolled along and enjoyed the fresh air. When it was time for groups, Apple went racing out into the yard with her friends. Sky followed her at a more leisurely pace. He noticed an interesting scent in the grass and immediately stuck his nose to the ground. There was a lot to smell in the yard today, so Sky decided to spend some time checking out every blade of grass that he came across. He also munched on a few of them. Apple had also started exploring; only she was in the other yard. She likes to climb on the rocks along on the fence. Once Apple was content with her sniffing, she wandered over to me for some attention. Sky did the same and then went to relax with a few other dogs. Apple must have wound herself up because she suddenly began jumping around. Her long legs were flailing all over the place while she bounced up and down; it was too cute! Then she settled down again and decided to visit her big brother.

Maya and Rocky were in great moods today! Rocky had a quieter day and spent most of it lounging outside. The temperature was just right, and we were fortunate enough to avoid rain. Rocky took advantage of this and settled down in his usual spot to watch the going-ons of the group. He also spent some time cuddling with me, while his sister ran around like crazy. Maya was leaping all over the place. She was certainly full of energy and ready to play! Her pal Timbits noticed this and came running over to jump on Maya, and soon they were tearing around the yard together. Rocky had wandered off to sniff something, so I followed the other two as they raced to the far yard. There, Maya bumped into Jake. He was very excited and immediately play-bowed. Maya accepted his offer and practically tackled him to the ground. The three of them had a great time running around together, and Rocky certainly enjoyed watching the show.

Bella and Jake both had a ton of energy today. They had so much fun on their walk and were racing all over the trail. When it was time for groups, Bella was the first one out the door! Jake rounded up the rest of the dogs and then followed them all outside. He took off for the far yard to sniff around and say hello. Bella came running over to me for some attention first. Once we were finished cuddling, we both headed out to find Jake. He was busy checking out a rock. Bella jumped up on it and got so excited when I praised her. Then she jumped down, both of them play-bowed, and soon they were tearing around the yard together. When Bella decided to stop for a breather, Jake met up with Maya and Timbits to continue playing. Bella was in the mood for even more attention now, so she cuddled up with me and we watched her brother run around with the other dogs. Both of them were ready for a nap once it was time to head inside!
