Groups:

Cooper was super happy to get outside on this lovely day. He was even happier when he discovered the pool was out. Cooper tested it out then went running out to the far yard. He did a couple laps before bouncing over to Marley to see if he wanted to play. He did and the two of them went tearing off around the yard. Needing a break, Cooper headed back to the pool and this time he got all the way in. Feeling refreshed Cooper went running back to Marley. As they took off running once more they were then joined by Apple. It wasn’t long before Cooper was back in the pool.

Apple started her morning with a little bit of exploring in the main yard. When Sky ended up over by the pool Apple made her way over to see what he was up to. They spent some time exploring near the pool. Cooper and Marley went racing off to the far yard. Apple was quick to race after them. Once in the far yard they three of them went tearing around the yard having a great time.

Sky was all about the exploring today. I think he needed a bit of a quieter day and so made his way out to the far yard to do some exploring in the grass. After going around the yard a couple of times, Sky decided go and see what Cooper was up to in the pool. He decided not to go in the pool and went to check out the grass next to it. Apple went over and joined him. When Sky had seen enough he made his way over to me for some pets and scratches. Finished with the loving he headed back to exploring only now it was in the main yard.

After tearing around the yard with Sadie, Max made his way over to Isis to see if maybe she might want to play with him. She took off running and he was close on her heels. Sadie decided to go and see about possibly digging in the hole. I reminded her that she wasn’t really allowed to do that. Sadie then took off with the zoomies around the yard. Max switched from chasing Isis around to joining Boris and Tsavo as they were racing around the yard. Sadie took a break from tearing around the yard to go and do a little exploring in the grassy section of the main yard. It wasn’t too much later that Max also needed a break, but he made his way over to have a look in the pool. He started to get into it when Sky came scrambling over to steal it away from him. Sky ended up gathering quite the crowd; they all stood around watching her in the pool, including Sadie. Once Sadie saw what was going on she came bouncing over to me for a quick visit. That done she went to rejoin Max by the pool. At this point Sky had gotten out and Max could actually get in. Feeling refreshed Max went tearing off around the yard once more. When no one went running off with him, he went to see what the others were up to. Sadie headed off to do some more exploring in the grass. Max spent the next little while alternating between the pool and trotting around the yard. That is until Sadie was hit with the zoomies once more and she and Max went racing off around the yard.

Boris couldn’t wait to get running around. As soon as he stepped out the door Boris took off running to see what was going on around the yard. He was then distracted by something in the grass and stopped running to check it out. Boris then met up with Tsavo and Cai and started to race around with them. Max came running over to join in. Wanting to keep it interesting, Boris went running through the tunnel. No one ended up following him so he ditched the tunnel and went racing off with Tsavo once more. Boris then spotted the pool. He went running over to give it a quick once over. When Boris saw some of the others getting in the pool he realized that maybe it would be fun. When the pool was vacated Boris hopped in and started to spin and splash around. Boris then ended up losing the pool to Sky so he headed off to see what Tasha was looking at. They then headed out to do some exploring in the far yard. Boris didn’t stay out there long and was soon back by the pool.

Tasha headed outside and right out to the far yard. Once she was out there she was quick to put her nose to the ground and set off in search of something interesting. Tasha would pause occasionally to watch what the others were up to, but would soon put her nose back to the ground. When the group ended up back in the main yard by the pool, Tasha had to go check it out. Finding it a little crowded, Tasha went to do a little exploring in the rest of the main yard. Boris was curious about what she was looking at and went over to join her for a little while. When the crowd around the pool thinned out Tasha went to try again. She was quick to hop in and start splashing around. Tsavo went over to see what she was doing. It wasn’t long before the two of them were playing. Tasha took a break from playing to head back out the far yard to continue exploring. That didn’t last long and soon Tasha was back in the pool.

Will had such a fun time in the yard this morning, he ran outside and had so much energy right away. He was in a group of mostly huskies and he loved them right from the start. He ran up to each of them and said hi before moving on to the next dog. After he socialized with all the dogs he took the time to wander around the yard to explore. As all of the dogs started to hop in the pool, he ran over to check it out and sniffed around it as they all jumped in. They kept on splashing him as the water was flying everywhere and it got him soaking wet, Will wasn’t a fan of the pool for some reason and didn’t want to go in it, but he loved running around it in circles as the dogs played. After he got splashed he started a game of tag with a few of the huskies and chased them all around the agility yard. He ran from one side of the yard to the the other and was having so much fun! Whenever a dog ran up to him they would both play bow at each other until they took off running again.

Finnigan was so silly when he came in this morning. He was up for his walk as soon as he walked in the door and when he got on the leash with the other two dogs he began to roll around in the grass for them to play with him. Of course they were up for it and kept pawing at him as all of his paws were waving in the air. It took a while for them to all calm down and walk nicely together but they did eventually . During groups Finnigan was all about his toys. He loves them and it’s the first thing he runs to when he walks out the door. He ran into the agility yard and picked up a rubber frisbee and began to run around with it to show it off. Shyla ran over to him to say hi as he was bouncing around and they were both getting very playful. It’s so cute to see Shyla when she’s interested in other dogs and wants to play with the., she gets so energetic and circles around them and bows down until they start to chase her. She did this with Finnigan and he thought that all she wanted was her toy so he was protective of it at first. They played tag for a little while before he hopped in the pool with his frisbee. Shyla ran over as she was chasing him and stopped right at the edge of the pool and sniffed it as he was splashing around. She didn’t like the water too much but still ended up getting fairly muddy somehow as all the others were very wet.

Maverick was having a fun day as well, and was playful and energetic right from the start. He ran around as he roamed the yard to sniff around but got distracted by the other dogs pretty easily and went up to all of them to socialize and say hello. He noticed Shyla playing with Finnigan and ran over to check it out. As they were playing Maverick decided that he wanted to join in and began to chase them around for a bit before taking off to wander around some more. He then met up with Maggie who was walking around on her own. She didn’t seem to be that playful but when Maverick ran up to her and started to hop around to get her to chase him, she was energized immediately. The two of them played tag for a little while around the yard on their own, since none of the other dogs joined in the game didn’t last too long. Maggie ended up running and jumping in the pool where a lot of the dogs were spending their time. Once she hopped in she decided to lay down in the water as the other dogs were walking around her. She sat there and enjoyed the weather as Maverick ran up to say hi again. He was unsure about the water but was curious at the same time so he began to sniff it then put his front two paws in. After a second he jumped back out and decided it wasn’t for him.

Oreo and Kai had a very relaxing time in their group outside. They were with fairly calm dogs today and as soon as they got outside they took off to go into the agility yard to look around. Oreo ran over to the far fence and sniffed along the grass whereas Kai stayed near me in the middle of the yard. Kai’s nose was stuck to the ground at first as she was so intrigued by all of the scents. Oreo was getting excited as she was wandering around and I called her over to me from across the yard. She ran over with a big smile on her face and her tongue hanging right out. As I pet her she began to give me lots of kisses.  I called Kai over as well. She walked over, taking her time, and when she came up to me she started to turn around so her backend was facing me. She wanted me to pet it and wiggled around when I did as she was asking.  When I got up Oreo went to go walk around some more and say hi to some of the dogs whereas Kai went off on her own. She wandered over to the holes in the dirt and began to dig in them. After she was done digging she decided to lay right in them and enjoy her hard work.

Extra Attention:

Will was happy to get outside for some extra attention. I hooked him up to the long line we have outside and let him wander around. Will went trotting around checking everything out. When he realized he was hooked up to a leash he decided to gather some of it up and walk around with it. Will then came over for a little visit with me. After getting some pets he headed off to do some more exploring. Will found a stick and had a great time demolishing it.
