Groups:

Apple and Sky were so full of beans today. As soon as we got outside Apple made her way out to the far yard and started to roll around in the grass. Sky stood watching her debating on what exactly he wanted to do. In the end he decided to go and do a little exploring and grass sampling in the rocks by the fence. Apple finished with rolling and spotted Cooper and Pippin running around having a grand old time. Wanting to get in on the fun, she went racing after them. This caught Maya’s attention. Maya then set out to steal Apple’s attention away. Eventually it worked and Apple and Maya had a blast running around together. Sky continued to explore in the grass, but was soon joined by Cooper. They spent a little time exploring together. Apple took a break from playing to make her way over to me for some pets and scratches. She then noticed Sky and went to see what he was up to. They then went around doing some exploring together. Sky, having seen enough for the moment, decided it was now time for a good neck scratch and so made his way over to me. Afterwards he felt all frisky and was ready to play. Sky and Apple started to bounce around and wrestle, which soon caught the eye of Cooper. Sky and Cooper then took off running so Apple went back to having a roll in the grass. Sky was then joined by Maya and Apple, while Cooper swooped in and had a good roll around where Apple previously had been.

Cooper set off to do a little exploring. It wasn’t long before Pippin went bouncing over to join him. Pippin gave him a quick once over then decided it was time to play. He started to bounce on Cooper trying to get him going. Eventually they went running off together. When Cooper and Pippin got out to the far yard they split up to check out different things. They were soon back together and then were off racing around the yard. This caught Apple’s eye and she went racing after them. Maya then joined them. The four raced around having a great time. Maya and Apple then split off. Cooper and Pippin were more than happy to continue on racing around just the pair of them. After racing around for so long they needed a bit of a breather. Cooper went off to see what Sky was looking at over by the fence, while Pippin went off to wander around the yard and see what the others were up to. This also included coming over for a visit with me. Cooper left Sky to go and see what Pearl was up to. He tried to get her to play with him, but in the end went off to do some exploring with her. They explored for a little while until Cooper finally convinced her to play. Later Cooper spotted Apple rolling around in the grass and went over to see if there was room for him to join.

Maya started her morning off with some exploring. As she made her way out to the far yard she spotted Apple rolling around and stopped exploring so she could watch her. When Apple went racing off to join Cooper and Pippin, Maya went racing off after her. Maya was solely focused on getting Apple to play with her and eventually it paid off. She got Apple to stop running with the other two and instead just run around with Maya. The two of them had so much fun together. Eventually they needed a bit of a breather so Maya headed off to do some exploring. After a little while she noticed Cooper and Pearl running around. Maya went bouncing over to see about joining in the fun. Once again she needed a bit of a break so went back to exploring in the grass. Maya was soon having fun once more when Sky and Apple started to play.

Lola and Rocky set out and did a quick tour of the gravel part of the yard. Lola then headed back near the door where she customarily tends to sit and sunbathe. Rocky wasn’t too far behind her. Lola then plopped down and was determined to do just that. Pearl hung around with Lola for a little while before she headed out to sniff more things. While Lola was happy to sunbathe, Rocky was in more of a mood for the shade. They sat next to each other but enjoyed their own temperature. I left them to their relaxing and headed out to join the others. A little while later I went back for a visit and I found Lola melted into the ground still enjoying her sunbathing experience while Rocky still enjoyed the cooler shade. When Lola noticed me she woke up to come over for some pets and attention. Rocky wanted to get it on it too and came for a quick pat then went to see what Apple was doing.

Pearl started her morning off with exploring, as usual. She set off with her nose glued to the ground. When Pearl noticed that Lola wasn’t following along, she turned around to spend some time checking out things around where Lola was sitting. When she couldn’t resist any more, Pearl went trotting out to the far yard to go exploring in the grass. Pearl went all around the yard with her nose to the ground barely lifting it to see where she was going. Along the way she was stopped by Cooper who very much wanted to play with her. Pearl wasn’t so sure but ran around with him for a short while. Pearl then came running over to me for some pets and attention. When she left me Pearl managed to convince Cooper to go and do some exploring. Cooper was soon back to asking Pearl to play. She eventually caved and soon they were running around. Maya went running over to join them. After Pearl had played enough she made her way back over to me for some more pets.

Kai had a fun day. She started it off with some some exploring, but when she noticed Bentley start to get all frisky she went to play with him. They bounced around for a while until Kai found herself being asked to play by Oreo. They had so much fun play bowing and running around. When it was time for the next group Kai was a little calmer, she headed out to do some exploring. Along the way she found herself a good rolling spot where she stayed for a little while until a new friend came along. Tucker was very happy to meet Kai and place a playful paw on her back. She got a little frisky and started to bounce around with Tucker, Sophie, Oreo and Bentley. She pretty much spent the rest of her time outside alternating between rolling around in the grass and hopping around with her pals.

Porsche set out to check out the agility yard. She put her nose to the ground to thoroughly check out the area around one of the big rocks. That done Porsche went trotting off futher into the yard. She made her way over to the grassy area by the lounge. Once there Porsche spent quite some time thoroughly checking everything out.

Hudson was quite the energetic puppy outside during groups today. He ran out the door at full speed and made his way to the agility yard where he began to run around. Finnigan was interested in him right away and ran up to start chasing him. Hudson was loving the attention so he ran even faster to make it harder for Finnigan to catch up. Luckily for Finnigan, he’s quite the runner and had no problem keeping up with Hudson. When Finnigan reached Hudson he would jump up and tackle him until he laid on the ground. They rolled around together until Hudson had enough wrestling and wanted to continue running. When he got up, Finnigan stayed on the ground and rolled around with all four paws in the air. When he stood back up, Finnigan went running past Hudson and scooped up a rope toy, which prompted another game of chase. The boys took off running and Finnigan played for the rest of his group time with the rope hanging out of his mouth. Hudson didn’t care for the toy, but he was very happy to continue running with his friend.

Will was very entertained out in the yard today. He ran outside with a huge smile on his face as he said hi to all the dogs. He made sure to socialize with each dog at first and to not leave anybody out, then after he ran right up to me as I was sitting on a rock and jumped up to give me a kiss. I guess it was my turn for a little socializing. He started playing bowing with one of the dogs and she didn’t seem interested at first, but after a few persistent pounces, she started to play bow back. They did this for a little bit until Will decided to go and have a look around the yard. He sniffed along the rocks as Finnigan and Hudson were running from one side of the yard to the other. He looked up and watched them as they ran while debating whether or not to join in with them. Eventually when they ran passed him again he hopped up and started to chase Hudson alongside Finnigan.

Maverick and Shyla had a relaxing day outside this morning during their first group after walks. During their walks I walked them together and they had so much energy that I decided to run along the trail with them instead of walking. When they got back into their kennel they both took a bed and laid down until it was time to go back outside. When they were outside they started off by wandering the yard with their noses to the ground. Shyla was very into her sniffing and didn’t lift her head once at first while Maverick began to explore near some of the dogs and stopped to say hi and to smell them whenever he passed. When some of the dogs started to play you could see them becoming interested and they lifted their heads from the ground and started to walk towards all the dogs and socialize more. I called the both over to me and while Shyla was being a little shy Maverick ran right over. He kept on backing up until he was as close as he could be to me and then sat there as he wiggled his body when I pet him. Maverick and Shyla met a new friend in their afternoon group named Zak. They were both very excited to meet him and they spent their entire afternoon group time running, pouncing and wrestling with him.

Maggie was ready to head outside when I opened up the door to her kennel today, she trotted out the door and followed everyone into the agility yard. Maple had the lead as she’s a little energetic and loves to run wherever she goes. All the dogs chased her into the yard then spread out to do their own thing. At first Maple was really interested in Maggie and kept running up to sniff her. Maggie stood there, unsure whether or not she was interested as well as Maple began to run around her in circles to play. Maggie was getting excited and started to bounce around while Maple was still circling her, but once Maple took off and ran to the other side of the yard Maggie stood still and waited to see if Maple was going to circle back around. Maggie then went on to start exploring the yard, she sniffed around for a bit and occasionally stopped to paw at the ground to unbury what was underneath the dirt then kept on walking to the next spot. Meanwhile Maple was having some fun on her own with the toys, she picked up whatever toy she saw and started to fling it around while running around the yard to show it off, if she was running with a toy in her mouth and found another one there was nothing from stopping her to swoop down and try to pick up the other one as well. The more toys the happier Maple was. During their afternoon group, Maple immediately scooped up two toys at a time and ran all around the yard with them. Maggie was very interested in Zak and had a great time running around and playing with him, Maverick and Shyla.

Max immediately started to run around and try to find his first playmate when he entered the yard. Of course he ran straight to Zak but Zak wasn’t quite ready to play yet, so he took off with Sadie into the further yard and began to run around with her. After a bit Sadie started to slow down to explore. She sniffed around the whole fence when she came up to the holes that have been dug in the dirt. She stuck her face deep into it and began to dig it deeper as Max ran up to cheer her on. When she stood back up Max laid down and continued where she left off as she watched. It wasn’t too long before Max needed to play and get some of his energy out right away. He hopped up and started to run around again with his tongue hanging out of his mouth looking for a partner. He chased after Sadie for a bit again when Bella joined in.
When Bella first walked out the door she stuck right by Oakley. They walked around the yard together and explored near the door and away from where Max and Sadie were playing. But once Bella began to watch them run around and how much fun they were having she couldn’t help herself but to join in with them. She trotted over to the further yard and at first said hi to me. After she was done giving me kisses and could walk away for more than a second before coming back for more cuddles, she ran right over to Max. Max started to sniff her with Sadie standing beside him observing them, eventually she walked up and said hello for herself. Max play bowed to Bella and she stared at him for a second before play bowing right back. He took off to the other side of the yard as her and Sadie chased him as fast as they could. Whenever Bella caught up to Max she would jump up and put her front two legs and wrap them around him like a hug. Max couldn’t stand there for too long before he started to run again and they chased after him again. They did this the entire time outside.

Oakley was being her usual snuggly self out in the yard today. She stuck right by my side most of the time but did take a few minutes to go around and explore the yard. As she made her way out to the grassy part of the yard, Oakley met up with Bella and the girls wagged their tails like crazy while they greeted one another. Oakley certainly loves the other dogs, but she can never get enough attention from her people friends! When she was finished saying hi to Bella, Oakley made her way back over to my side and we stood together, watching the other dogs and enjoying the lovely weather.

Zak played with lots of different dogs today. During his first group he went outside with his friends Max, Sadie, Bella and Oakley. He had fun bouncing around with Max and Sadie for a little while until he decided to take some time to look around the yard. Later in the day, Zak had some fun playing with a second group of friends. Zak was particularly interested in playing with three other dogs: Maverick, Shyla and Maggie. He and Maverick had a fantastic time wrestling together. Eventually the wrestling match turned into a chase and Maggie took the opportunity and jumped right into the action. The three chased each other all around and stopped occasionally to paw and play bow to one another. When Maverick and Maggie were having a little cool down, Zak set his sights on Shyla. Shyla was happy to have a new friend and the pair pawed and bounced together, too.

Tucker spent his morning in the doggy spa and looked very fresh for his afternoon group time. He was so excited to get out into the yard to meet the other dogs and to sniff around the yard. He went to visit with Oreo first, followed by Bentley, Kai and finally Sophie. Tucker and Sophie hit it off right away and wrestled their group time away. Every now and then Kai, Bentley and Oreo would join in the match, but Tucker and Sophie always wound up wrestling around just the two of them. When it was time for a break, Tucker came over to see me for some snuggles. It didn't last long, though, because Tucker spotted his bestie Sophie and went running off once more. He ran as fast as he could through the main yards into the agility yard and back again. He even popped into the playstructure as he played!
