Groups:

Will and Kyah were both quite excited to get out to the agility yard. Kyah headed off to do some exploring while Will went to see what the others were up to. The two of them ended up crossing paths. This then turned into them checking one another over before they started to bounce around and wrestle. The wrestling soon turned into them tearing around the yard. After a couple laps Kyah and Will returned to wrestling. Eventually Kyah needed a bit of a breather and so went back to trotting around checking out the yard. Will still wanted to play and went trotting over to see about getting Zoe to play with him. He was in luck and soon they were running around together.

Maverick and Shyla started their morning with some exploring but it wasn’t long before they were ready to play. Maverick met up with Mocha. It quickly turned into them bouncing around and wrestling. Mocha then wanted to go off to do some exploring so Maverick went off to see what Spencer was checking out. Shyla became curious about what they were looking at so went over to join them. Maverick was soon bored of exploring and went to see about getting Mocha to play with him once more. She was quite willing and soon they were having a great time wrestling lion king style. Needing a break, they split up. Maverick went over to see what Shyla was looking at through the fence. They were both fascinated and spent some time staring out. Shyla then left the fence to go and join Issy while she explored in the grass. Maverick was ready to run once more and took off racing around the yard. Percy and Teddy were soon chasing him. Even Maggie tagged along for a little while.  Maverick came and plopped himself at my feet wanting some love and attention when he'd had enough playing. Shyla left Issy and went trotting out to explore more of the yard. She was joined by Percy, who tried to convince her to play with him. Maverick left me to go and see what Spencer was looking at. Shyla made her way over to Mocha to see if maybe she might want to play. They bounced around for a little while before Shyla decided to rejoin Issy.  When Spencer started to race around the yard, Shyla left Issy to go and chase after him.

After a quick assessment of her group's activities, Maggie went to do some exploring in the grass. When she was satisfied, she headed back to see what the group was up to. Maggie met up with Spencer and decided to tag along with him as he explored around the yard. She was distracted from exploring when Maverick, Percy, and Teddy all took off running. Maggie went racing off after them for a bit and then decided she'd rather be a spectator than a player. Maggie watched them for a bit and then made her way over for a visit with me. She then left me to go off to see what was going on now. Maggie ended up meeting up with Teddy and decided that she wouldn’t mind playing with him. They bounced around and wrestled for a little while until Teddy took off running. Maggie then made her way back over to me for more pets. She soon ended up on her back asking for some belly rubs.

Issy and Mocha set out to do some exploring around the agility yard. Mocha soon met up with Maverick. They had an instant connection and were soon bouncing around and having a great time together. After a while of playing together they split up to go and do some exploring.  Issy and Mocha were both taking their exploring very seriously with their noses to the ground and barely lifting them to see where they were walking. Mocha soon met up with Maverick once more. It wasn’t long before they were wrestling lion king style and having a great time. They split up once more to return to their exploring. Issy was enjoying exploring by herself when she was joined by Shyla. They went trotting around together thoroughly checking out the grassy portion of the yard. Shyla then left Issy to go and see about getting Mocha to play with her. Mocha was okay with this and had fun bouncing around with her. Mocha then ended up making her way over to me for some attention so Issy found herself being joined by Shyla once more. When she’d had enough attention Mocha went to see about playing with Maverick and the Shyla.

Percy was ready to have some fun this morning. He went running outside hoping someone would already be playing. At that point no such luck so Percy headed off to do a little exploring. It didn’t take long for Maverick and Mocha to start wrestling and having fun together. Percy went charging over not wanting to miss out.  The playing dispersed to Percy went running off to see what Spencer was looking at over by the lounge. He gave it a quick once over then went trotting off to check out the grass by the building. While Percy was exploring he spotted Maverick go racing off. Percy was quick to ditch the grass and go chasing after him. They went tearing around the yard with Teddy. They all had a great time together. Eventually Maverick needed a break so Percy switched his focus to Shyla to see if she would run with him. When she wouldn’t run with him he went trotting off to do some more exploring. Soon Spencer was off racing around the yard and Percy was quick to join him
.

Teddy was full of energy today. He started off with a little exploring then went to circle Maverick and Mocha while they played. When they stopped playing, Teddy was at a momentary loss for what to do. He ended up heading off to do some more exploring. While Teddy was trotting around he was happy to see Maverick and Mocha start playing again. Teddy went racing over to start circling them once more. When they took a break from playing, Teddy decided to tag along with Maverick for a little while waiting to see if he’d start running or something again. He was in luck. Maverick took off racing with Teddy close on his heels. Along the way Teddy met up with Maggie. The two of them gave each other a once over before deciding to do a little wrestling together. When Spencer started to racing around the yard Teddy went chasing after him.

Spencer was all about the exploring this morning. I don’t even think he said hello to the others; he just headed straight out to the far corner that has lots of grass. Spencer was joined by Shyla and then by Maggie. As Spencer headed off to check out more of the yard he found himself being followed by Maggie. They made their way over to the grassy section by the main building where they met up with Maverick and Shyla.  They did some exploring together until the others took off running. Spencer was content to continue on exploring around the yard on his own. After a while he was joined by Maverick. Spencer was soon solo once more and went trotting off around the yard. Finally towards the end of group he was hit with the zoomies and went tearing off around the yard. Spencer was joined by Percy, Teddy, and Shyla.

Kai was all about the exploring this morning. She set out with her nose glued to the ground. Kai then became aware of the other dogs in the group. She lifted her nose long enough to say her hellos then her nose was back to the ground. Kai made her way all around the yard. At one point she was joined by Merida for a little while. Eventually Kai finished checking out the yard and made her way over to me for some pets and loving. When she had enough of me she headed back out to do some more exploring. Along the way she found herself a bone and was more than happy to lie down for a nice chew.

Maya was happy to get outside for group time. She made her way out to the agility yard. The grass growing from between the rocks near the fence immediately captured Maya’s attention. Once she’d thoroughly checked it over Maya headed off to check out more of the yard. After a lap she decided she wasn’t actually done with the grass and rocks and made her way back to do an even more thorough investigation. When Maya finished once more she made her way out to the grassy section by the side of the building.  Along her travels around the yard she met up with Merida. They spent some time checking each other over before decided to just spend some time together. During her next group, Maya was approached by Glory, who convinced her to play. It was adorable to see Maya having fun. 

Cooper was such a happy boy out in the yard today. He trotted right up to me as soon as I got outside and jumped up on my legs - I think he smelled the treats I had in my pocket and wanted one for himself. He followed me all around the yard with his tongue hanging out waiting for me to give him one. Once I did he ran off to go to the grass yard and started to sniff around there. Pippin wanted some treats too of course. He tagged along right behind Cooper and waited patiently at my feet until he got one, and then the two of them began to play after they got their snack, Cooper chased him around the grass as Pippin was exploring. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to play at first but as Cooper kept chasing him and he began to run faster he decided it was great fun. He was running around the yard happily with Cooper for a while before they both ended up running out of breath and took a break. Cooper still couldn’t sit too still though and kept on walking up to his other group mates to socialize.

Rocky ran out the door with Maya as soon as I opened their kennel door this morning. He was especially enthusiastic about going outside on such a nice morning. He hung out around the door with his pal Julie for a little bit until they both started to make their way over to the further yard where all the dogs were. When Julie stopped to sniff some of the grass, Rocky kept going and came all the way over to say hi. Maya ran over to him right away; she was very excited to see Rocky over there with all of their friends. He wandered around the yard for a little bit and explored before he went back to the door to relax and lay down in the sun. When I came back over to him he was laying on his back with his legs in the air waiting for me to pet his tummy. Maya was very calm at first and just wanted to explore. She walked along the fence and sniffed around before walking around more until she made it to the holes that she loves to work on from time to time. She started to sick her nose in and smell around before she started to dig. She stopped digging when she began to play with Apple. Maya was enthralled with Apple in the yard and was trying to play with her the entire time. She kept on running around her in circles and play bowing until she began to run around with her.

Apple and Sky were both very calm when they first came outside this morning, Apple kept on following me around everywhere I went, not that I minded at all. I love both of their company and it’s so sweet whenever they come up to give me kisses. During groups they both took off to explore the yard. Apple loves to snack on the grass; Sky likes it as well but not nearly as much. Sky walked along the rocks with a few of the dogs and said hi to them while giving them a little sniff before he kept on walking. I was trying to get them away from the grass so they wouldn’t overdo it and called them over to me; they both looked at me and debated whether or not to come over but eventually after me calling their names a few times they trotted over to me. I began to run around them to get them excited and it worked, Apple chased me as fast as she could and jumped up whenever she caught up to me. Maya saw from across the yard and joined right in. She began to chase Apple and the two of them started to play on their own without me. Sky was getting excited and he ran over and started to bark at them as they ran around, and then he began to chase Maya himself along with Apple. The two of them have so much spirit, it's adorable. When they came inside they took a nice long nap together in their bed.

Kimi and Lobo spent their day with us in the staff room. Merida joined them shortly after and kept them company. They were very relaxed, spread out across the floor on blankets. During their walk this morning they were so excited that they were jumping up and down and once they got outside they calmed down as they walked along the trail but got more energetic again during groups. They ran out the door and ran around in circles, ready to do some exploring and socializing. Lobo was all about the exploring today, while Kimi spent a lot of her time teasing Max. She would run up to him, invite him to play and then run away back to Lobo. Lobo really wanted to explore in peace and eventually Kimi went over to hang out with Sadie, who was working on a hole excavation.

Max and Sadie were super excited to be outside today, Max was as energetic as always and began to run to the further part of the yard to wander around right away. He runs as he explores and stops randomly to smell whatever he finds interesting. He’s too energetic to walk and always has to take it up a notch. Sadie’s calmer and likes to walk around with the other dogs to socialize while she explores. It wasn’t long before Max ran by Sadie and bumped into her a little which made her jump back and begin to chase him. Once she started to chase him around the grass some of the other dogs joined in to play tag as well, Max didn’t like everyone chasing him though so he turned it around and began to chase Sadie around the yard. Whenever they caught up to each other they would start to wrestle as they other dogs crowded around. Then Max and Sadie would hop up and begin their game once again.

Tsavo and Cai were so excited to come in this morning.  They were so well behaved during their walk even though Cai couldn’t stop stopping to jump up and give me kisses. He’s such a sweet boy and loves to jump up to show affection. Whenever Tsavo sees how sweet he’s being she runs over to join in as well. During their groups outside, the took off to run around the yard together. They made their way to the grass yard and started to roam around and sniff the grass. They eventually split up and Cai walked back over to the door to explore there while Tsavo stayed with all of the dogs to socialize and smell the grass. When I called Cai back over to see me he came running over with his big tongue hanging out of his mouth and into my arms, I got up before he started to jump on me and I told him to sit. He sat so nicely until some of the dogs began to play beside us and I lost his attention. He stared at them as they were wrestling and running around and ran right over to join in. He hopped up on Max’s back playfully as Tsavo trotted over to join them, Tsavo ran around them in circles as Cai was having fun and jumping up on all the dogs.

Extra Attention:

Will was in such a good mood today like always. He’s such a goofy boy and when he came up to the front during his extra attention with me he was running around in circles and started to sniff everything. After he was done sniffing around, which didn’t take very long, he ran right up to me and rested his head on my lap as I was sitting at the computer. I gave him a bunch of cuddles as he kept on giving me kisses in return. He brought me a rope toy that I grabbed from him and started to wave around in the air to get his attention, as he was eyeing it I threw it across the room and he chased after it then came back to me. I got him to sit up on a chair and he laid down with me as I cuddled with him more. Once I brought out some treats he started to get really excited again and kept sitting up then laying back down and doing this over and over again until I handed him one.
