Olive had an enjoyable time relaxing outside today. In the morning, Olive was happy to see me and came over with her tail wagging back and forth. I gave her some cuddles then let her outside for her first group rotation of the day. After her group, Olive went on a walk on the trails. When she got back inside, she curled up into her cozy bed for a quick nap before her next outdoor group rotation. When the time came, she wandered into the yard happily. She mostly sniffed around and got lots of cuddles from me.
Apple and Sky had a great day together. When I came in in the morning, they were both curled up together in one bed even though they have two! They looked super cozy. I got them outside for their first group rotation and they explored around the yard together. Not long after that, it was time for their walk on the trails. Sky and Apple walked with their pal Rocky, and they all had a good time together. Later on, during their next outdoor rotation, Apple was skipping around with her tail wagging. She was sniffing all of her doggy friends and then running around after them. Sky was exploring around the yard again, and enjoyed sniffing the long green grass by the fences.
Cooper had so much fun playing today. He was very excited first thing in the morning to go outside and see his friends. After playing around a bit, Cooper went back inside and waited to go on his morning walk. He walked on the trails with his pal Murphy. They had a lot of fun together! After the walk, Cooper went outside again for another group rotation. He ran around greeting a bunch of his friends. He made sure to sniff each and every dog. Cooper seemed to really like his friend Timbits, so they stuck around each other and played the whole time. Cooper and Timber investigated a very deep hole in the ground.
Kai had a nice day. In the morning, Kai was very cuddly as always and wanted to hop up onto me to get some extra love! After that, Kai went on her morning walk with her pal Max. They had a great time walking together. When it was time for her to group to go outside for their next rotation, Kai was quite happy. She followed behind me and walked into the bigger yard along with the rest of her group. She seemed to like to stay by me most of the time. because she knew that way she would be getting cuddles the whole time. Her friend Stella came over to her at one point to play. She leaped back at Stella, but quickly came over to me again for cuddles.
Bella had lots of fun today. She was super wiggly and excited when she saw me come in this morning. I let her out with her group for their first outdoor rotation and her tail whipped back and forth as she ran out the door. She happily ran around the yard with friends. After that, Bella went on a walk on the trails with her friend Oliver. They had a great time sniffing around on the trails together. Not long after her walk, Bella was back outside with her group for play time. As always she was very happy to see all of her doggy friends. Bella was very interested in the new dog of the group, Mocho. She would run up to him with her tail wagging and start sniffing then licking his nose.
Trooper had a great day. In the morning, she was already playful and full of energy. She bounced around the yard with some of her friends. Not long after her first group rotation, it was time for her walk on the trails. Trooper walked with her friend Ying. They got along great and had a fun walk together. After the walk, it was once again time for an outdoor group rotation. Trooper happily went outside and quickly greeted her friends. She sniffed her new friend Mocho a lot, and even pounced around at him a bit. For the rest of her time outside, she really enjoyed getting some cuddles from me.
Shyla and Maverick had a good day. In the morning, they were both excited to go outside for their first rotation of the day. Shyla wandered around the yard and sniffed a few things. Maverick came over to me with his tail wagging and spun around so i could rub his back. After their outdoor time, they went on their walk on the trails together. They enjoyed it as usual. Not too long after their walk, it was time for their next outdoor rotation. Maverick was super excited and hopped around outside as soon as he got out. Shyla followed behind, then got into the big grassy yard to explore. Maverick was very playful, and ran over to Trooper to pounce around at her. They started to run around and chase each other, and Shyla saw the action and ran after them as well.
Fex and Rex started off their morning on a
slow short walk together. They were absolutely adorable when they got to see
each other. The two of them must of knew that it was time for their walk
because Fez was jumping up at his kennel door and barking to get my attention.
Rex was also quite excited and hopped out of his kennel to see Fez. The two of
them circled around one another before we started on their walk. Rex’s paw
doesn’t ever slow him down as he led the way for the whole walk. I think by the
end of it the two of them were pretty pooched and decided to each have a nap
until it was time for them to go outside again. Fez was in a quiet group today
with a few of his friends. As soon as he got outside he started sniffing all
over each of his friends then looked around the yard a few times. He ended up
spending the rest of his time walking around beside me or watching what the other dogs were doing. Towards the end of his group I gave him a nice back
scratch. Rex wasn’t in a group today but did however go out for walks out front
with each of our staff members. He spent the day in the grooming room to give him a place to rest his paw. Being up front means he got a ton of
attention from every time that we went in the grooming room. He’d hop right up
and follow us around the room while we were in there and of course he got an
extra little pet each time.
Maya and Rocky each had their own walks
this morning. Rocky was on a nice relaxing walk with his friends Apple and Sky.
He trotted outside this morning and stuck his nose right up in the air
immediately. I think he might have found it a bit chillier than he had expected
it to be but he pushed through it and continued on. Rocky loved getting to roam
around the trail at his own speed but was still usually at the end of his leash
sniffing away at something. Maya was on a bit more of an energetic walk. She
went with her friends Coco and Timbits, which led to a pretty eventful walk.
The three of them raced to the end of their leashes and Maya weaved back and
forth between the other two until she had gotten completely tangled, silly
girl. She loved to try and play throughout the whole walk, which of course got
her even more tangled. By the end of the walk they were all ready to go back
into their warm kennels. During their outdoor playgroup, Rocky slowly walked
outside and sniffed around the yard for a little bit. After saying hi to
everyone he found himself a good spot to lie down. The two of us had a little
cuddle every so often. Maya was ready to go go go once she got outside. She
raced outside and immediately began playing with everyone in sight. She
wasn’t very into playing with any of the toys; just the dogs. Every once and a
while she’d snuggle up with Ashley for a little back rub.
Murphy, Coco and Timbits had such an
exciting outdoor playgroup today! The three of them were in a very energetic
group with all of their friends. Coco and Timbits both raced outside to see all
of their old and new friends out in the yard. Murphy quickly followed them out
but enjoyed sniffing along the fence line instead of the other dogs. Eventually
he found Coco and Timbits out in the yard and started racing around with them.
However, he really enjoyed playing with all of the other dogs as well. He took
his time going from one group of playful dogs to the next for almost his entire
group time. By the end of his time outside I could see that he was a little bit
tired and went over to cuddle with him. He gave me a ton of kisses and had a
nice little nap after when he went back into his kennel. Coco loved moving around
from one friend to another constantly. If she saw someone playing she’d race
over to them in a heartbeat and join in on the fun. Timbits however, found a
toy bone in the yard that he claimed to be his immediately. He continuously
raced around the yard with it in his mouth trying to keep it away from everyone
else and bury it in various places around the yard. Eventually he spent some
time running and tackling with Coco but he always returned back to his bone.
Boris and Tasha started their morning off
on a fast paced walk with on of their good friends. As soon as they saw me
coming to put on their harnesses, they started jumping up at the kennel and
getting excited to go out. They were both very good at calming down eventually
so that I could get them ready for their walk but ended up racing out of their
kennel anyways. Throughout their walk they were always play fighting or racing
from one side of the trail to the other; this of course led to them getting all
tangled up but at least they were having fun doing it. Tasha liked coming back
to see me every so often. By the end of their walk they were ready to snuggle
up in their kennel before their outdoor play time. When I came to their kennel
to let them out in their playgroup they were up and ready to go again. Boris
lept out of the kennel and right outside while Tasha trotted behind him. We
put them in a fun group with our huskies Justice, Magic and Kyah. The five of
them out together led to endless races and play fight around the yard. Boris
spent most of his time racing around with Justice and Magic. The two of them formed a little team but he stood his ground and tackled them back. He
could always seem to out run them, especially when he’d sneakily go through the
tunnel. Tasha loved following everyone around the yard. She’d always be found
trotting behind anyone that was racing and was half the time a part of the fun.
She loved tackling Boris but also spent some quieter time pawing at Kyah.
Towards the end of their group she spent her time over by me getting some extra
attention.
Tasha and Boris' Training: Tasha did a
wonderful job with her training. She knew it was time to go as soon as I came
to her kennel and sat like a pretty girl for me while I put on her leash. We
went out for her structured walk first and it took her an extra minute to concentrate today, but soon realized that it was time to work and did an awesome job. She sat right
beside me every time I stopped walking and was very good at paying attention to
me when I’d change directions. I then took her into the lounge to practice her
basics. She loves to lie down for me! Every time I’d get her to do anything she
lie down so we’re going to try and teach her to sit a little bit more. Good job
Tasha! Boris did a wonderful job as well. As soon as I put his leash on him he
was a perfect gentleman for me. He too sat and paid attention to my every move
throughout his structured walk. When I brought him to the lounge we started off
with his basic tricks. He did a great job with his sits but still needs a bit
more work with his downs. I then got him to place and stay on a cot for a
little while and he did a great job with it! He definitely paid attention to what he was supposed to
do. Good job Boris!
Max was quite the playful boy today! He was
very excited to go out for his walk this morning and was just sitting at his
kennel door wagging his tail as fast as possible. Once I got him on his leash
he was ready to go go go! He walked with one of his best friends, Kai. The two
of them were always at the end of their leashes trying their best to go faster.
Max was being quite the little flirt as he kept licking Kai face the entire
time. When it came to his outdoor playgroup he was just ecstatic to get outside
again. As soon as he got out he ran straight for the black kong. He picked it
up with one swoop and played with it for the rest of the time. The two of us
played fetch for most of the time. He was always the fastest one chasing after
the kong and therefore always had it in his mouth; showing it proudly to anyone
that passed by. Overall he had a great day!
