Coco Bean and Timbits were delighted to see Bailey’s smiling face for daycare this morning! After plenty of excited wiggles, I managed to get everyone leashed up and heading towards the trail. We walked along for a while at a nice pace, with Coco sniffing along behind and Timbits and Bailey leading the way. Bailey was so excited to be walking next to her bestie Timbits that she ran and pounced on him as he walked along! Timbits is always up for a good wrestle, and he and Bailey tumbled and rolled around in the long grass along the side of the trail. Coco joined in on the silliness near the end of our walk, but made sure to have at least one good wrestle with Timbits and Bailey before heading in for a rest. Group time came around soon after walks, and Coco went out to do her usual sniffing around the fence and the edges of the yard. Meanwhile, Timbits and Bailey were saying hello to some of the bigger dogs in the group, including Maggie and Sky. Bailey was a little bit shy with the bigger friends, but warmed up very quickly. I went out into the grassy part of the yard and Timbits and Bailey ran after me to explore more out there. Bailey was very fond of the agility tunnel today, maybe to keep herself out of the rain! Timbits followed her and watched Bailey from one end of the tunnel. She poked her head out the end and Timbits stood on the rock, ready to pounce on his pal. They played a silly game of tag in and out of the tunnel and over the rock. Coco wasn’t too sure she wanted to venture that far out into the rain today, so she stayed put beside the building where she could keep her ears dry. I went and gave Coco some pets and snuggles, and slipped her a little cookie too. They were all super excited to head up to the indoor playroom for afternoon groups, where there are plenty of toys and no rain!

Lola and Pearl each went for their own separate walks this morning shortly after their arrival. Pearl joined little friends Resa and Beauty out on the walking path, and luckily the rain held off until after we’d made our way around and back inside. Meanwhile, Lola went for a leisurely stroll with Nicki down the driveway and in the front yard so that she could take her time to sniff and enjoy herself. We had a lovely time huddling up together in the yard a little later on in the morning. Pearl wasn’t too worried about the rain and made her way out to explore around and say hello to the other dogs. Lola, on the other hand, wasn’t too keen on getting wet and hung out by the door with her good pal, Julie. I scooped Lola up and we stood under the roof overhang and kept warm and dry while watching the other dogs roam around. Eventually, I let Lola back down and ventured out to see what Pearl was sniffing at in the grass. She wiggled and made her little pug noises as I approached, and I offered her a little cookie. She’s such a funny little girl. Lola and Pearl were both very happy when afternoon group time came, since we all made our way up to the indoor playroom for some fun!

Little Miss Beauty certainly suits her name. This girl is full of spirit and sass, and is of course such a cutie. She absolutely loves going for her morning walk every day and today was no exception. She let me know she was ready to hit the trail by giving me a little “woo woo!” as she saw me approach with a leash in my hands. Beauty had two walking buddies today, Resa who she’s met many times, and a new friend Pearl the pug. Beauty wasn’t too sure about Pearl at first, with all of her grunts and pug noises, but she walked along with her and got used to her unusual new friend. After walks we went out into the yard for group time, and Beauty said quick hellos to the other dogs before wandering out into the grassy part of the yard. She tiptoed around through the puddles and grass, and stopped at her usual spot to look out into the field through the fence. Bailey the beagle puppy came over to greet her, and Beauty politely sniffed her nose in return. She met a few other faces in the yard, including Sky the husky, and Maggie the collie mix, and she was very polite to all of these friends. After some time in the rain, Beauty was happy to be heading up to the indoor playroom for her afternoon group time!
Beauty was such a good girl in the playroom with all of her fellow small dogs. She explored the room amongst them and climbed up on the couch for some pets. She hopped back down and sat next to me for a good back scratch. After indoor play time, I brought Beauty up to the reception area for some training. We started with the easy "sit", and then gave "down" another try, which is a tricky one for her. We then moved on to sit and "stay", where I had her sit on one side of the room and wait to be called over. She mastered this one quickly, with only a few reminders here and there.

Kai and Percy had a blast splashing around in the rain together out in the agility yard this morning! Percy was very pleased to have full access to the agility tunnel, he must have done a million loops in and out of that tunnel and Kai found this quite amusing to watch. She would peek her head in the opposite side of the tunnel to watch him leap out the other side, but she herself didn’t care to run through today, Percy was making enough laps for the both of them! Percy was also on the hunt for toys, he had Blue and Lotus to contend with however; everyone wanted the blue Frisbee! Percy found a friend in new pal Lotus, the two of them battled for the rope toy and Percy showed off some of his agility jumps while trying to catch it in the air. Kai stopped by for a few cuddles by my side and she was smiling from ear to ear as usual.
Kai came to the reception area with me after her indoor group time this afternoon for some one-on-one time. She's such a relaxed lady, and climbed up on the chair to relax for a while. I gave her lots of pets and head scratches before she hopped back down to have a look around the room. I offered her some toys, but Kai preferred the pets instead. She even showed off her "shake a paw" trick for a couple of treats!

Mocha wasn’t too pleased with the downpour of rain we had this morning, she is waiting for summer to come like the rest of us! Instead of taking her usual spot at the door, in order to avoid the rain, she took cover under the outdoor kennel. There wasn’t as much room but she made it work. I took cover myself and Mocha was happy to have some company, and cuddles as well of course. The rain couldn’t bother Issy; no way it was going to stop her from making her usual laps around the yard. Especially the agility yard, there was a lot to sniff and explore on this rainy day. However she kept getting interrupted by her silly nephew Nyxx, but Issy never minds. She loves getting in a quick wrestle with this handsome boy!

Sophie W loves the rain, she doesn’t mind getting wet one bit, in fact she embraces it; a true Golden at heart! She happily raced around the yard along with good pal and fellow Golden friend also named Sophie. Sometimes you have to take a double-look to tell these two apart! The two of them happily frolicked from yard to yard while weaving in and out of their friends. Sophie then ran up to me and nudged my arm for attention; she was looking for her daily pets. I sat there and rubbed her head but if I took my attention away from her for one moment, she would grace me with her usual song until my hands were back on her head again, what a silly girl! Although Sophie didn't mind the rain this morning, she was as excited as could be to have some indoor play time in the playroom. She joined a small group of friends, who all explored the room and found some toys to play with. Sophie and Indi were after the same toy, and chased it across the room together!

Boris and Tasha were up to their usual shenanigans this morning with their best friends out in the agility yard. There was so much room for Boris to leap and bound across the yard and for Tasha to chase after him. Not to mention, they had access to the big agility tunnel, a favorite amongst our Husky friends! After exploring the yard, they were ready to play. Boris started whipping around the yard while Isis, Charly and Tasha tried to keep up with him. Tasha then cornered him at the agility tunnel and Boris excitedly jumped on top and started taunting Tasha from below. This got Tasha super excited and she jumped up on her hind legs to try and reach Boris level. It was very entertaining to watch this duo tear up the yard together this morning. Later in the day, Boris and Tasha were happy to join some friends inside, out of the rainy yard. They always love the playroom, and today was no exception. Boris had a blast playing around and being goofy with his friends Isis and Merida, while Tasha watched for the first little while. She didn't hesitate to join in when she decided the time was right, though!
