Victory was eager to start the day off with a walk alongside her good friend Annie. She was dancing around at the door while I got Annie ready and then led the way outside. Right away Victory was following her nose down the trail. The two girls took things at an easy pace and made sure to take their time as they were exploring. After that, it was time for groups! Victory joined the first group and immediately trotted around to say hello to her friends. Oscar gave her a happy lick on the nose and the two of them wandered off to sniff around together. I grabbed a few toys to see if any of the dogs were interested, and Victory came racing over when she noticed the ball. She chased after it and then proudly carried it around the yard to show off her toy, before setting it down and poking it around with her nose. We played a few more rounds of fetch, with Oscar joining us. Then Victory's new friend Sam came flying over and jumped right into the middle of everybody. He pounced on Oscar, who quickly chased after him, with Victory on their heels. They got Molly to join in also. Soon the group was sprinting around the yard together. Although Victory was the biggest, she was still light on her toes and easily kept up with the much more bouncy dogs. They ran a few laps around the grass yard before Sam led them to the gravel yard. Then Victory decided it was time to take a break, so she headed over to see what her friend Oakley was up to, and enjoy some cuddles with me. She went back to chasing the others around for the last few minutes of group time.
Victory and I went up to the reception area for her extra attention today. She was so happy to be up there and was bouncing around to check everything out. I know she loves her toys so I pulled out the toy bin and right away Victory was poking her nose in it. We played tug of war and fetch with a rope toy, and then Victory decided to snuggle with me for a bit. She was also quick to show off her skills by sitting and laying down in return for some small treats. Then I found the squeaky snake toy and Victory was all over that! She carried it around with her until it was time to go back to her kennel.

Pippin got to hang out the whole day with our only other little dog guest at the moment, Vanna. The two of them met up for their walk and Pippin was happy to take the lead while his friend hopped along behind us. Most of the time, the two of them were content keeping to themselves and enjoying the warm weather as they sniffed around the trail. Towards the end of the walk, however, Vanna got suddenly wound up and went bouncing ahead of Pippin. She spun around and raced back to him, play-bowed, poked him on the nose and then ran off again. Although Pippin didn't really feel like playing, he seemed to be amused by her bursts of energy and patiently watched as Vanna raced in circles around him. We headed out for groups later, this time joined by Julie, and right away Pippin set out to explore the yard. His first stop was the picnic table. After poking around in the grass nearby, Pippin hopped up onto the table and surveyed the yard from his new vantage point, trying to figure out where to head next. Pippin ended up wandering towards the corner of the yard, where there was lots to explore. He sniffed around for a while and then ended up at the picnic table with me again. Pippin basked in some attention, enjoyed a nice scratch behind the ears and then trotted over to see what Vanna was doing. Vanna soon started sprinting around again! This time Pippin seemed more interested and, though he wasn't doing much running himself, happily followed her around the yard while Vanna was bouncing around like crazy. For his extra attention today, Pippin and I headed up to reception. He wandered around the room and said hello to his friends Sophie and Julie, who were passing through, before settling down to cuddle with me. I showed him a few toys, although Pippin was insistent that he just wanted a good belly rub! After lounging around for a while and enjoying plenty of attention, Pippin was ready to head back to his kennel.

Poppy had a great day today! It was a nice sunny morning and she was ready to stretch her legs during first group, and even more eager to head out onto the trail after she had breakfast. Poppy was so excited to get out there for playtime this morning that she ran out the door and into the yard like a bullet. She played really well with everyone and spent lots of time bouncing around after her new friend, the gentle giant, Annie. She is absolutely fearless and love getting everyone to play! Poppy had a blast during her walk, and was really interested in all the things buzzing around in the grass this morning. She was looking for some cuddles this afternoon, and came over with Annie to get a scratch behind the ear—they were pretty inseparable today! When it started to rain a little bit she joined me under the shelter and relaxed for a while.  She is such a sweet and spunky girl!

Viggo and Yoda are such a joy to have here. Even when they were excited to get outside in the morning they waited nicely at the door—they really brought a calm energy to the group today.  They had a great time on their walk, and Yoda was so eager to check out every new sound and smell there was out there. We even came across an tiny little painted turtle, Yoda was curious and gave it a little sniff before letting me put it back in the tall grass. Whenever I looked over during playtime, I could always see these two relaxing together or looking out over the field. During extra attention in the playroom, Yoda was one excited guy. He was bouncing from one place to the next. One minute he would be relaxing on the bed and the next he would be barking out the window or checking out the toys. While Yoda was very vocal and excited, Viggo decided to stretch out and relax and enjoyed gazing out the window, checking out what was going on outside.
