Victory had another amazing day well spent with her favorite four-legged friends out in the yard! Thankfully the sun was shining and the pool was filling up just in time for her to splash around in it. But Victory had her eyes set on the red ball first; she quickly collected it and carried it in her mouth to the grassy yard knowing that Oakley the Golden would be searching for it. She dropped it at my feet and she and Oakley excitedly waited for me to throw it for them. Unfortunately Oakley was much faster and snatched the ball away, that’s ok, Victory thought, since she spotted Vega playing in the agility tunnel. She wanted to give it a try and stuck her head inside but her bottom half was much too big to make it all the way through; oh the struggles of being a gentle giant! Next we headed over to the picnic table where she carefully climbed on top with Vega right behind her!
Victory is such a happy girl and is always up for anything, so for her extra attention we did a little bit of everything. First we started up in the reception area playing with some toys. She loved grabbing a hold of the snake and tugging on it. I grabbed a handful of treats from the treat jar and she instantly sat down. She quickly then rolled over for a belly rub, silly girl. After a few more treats I slipped a leash on and we headed outside for a nice little stroll around the trail. Victory trotted along by my side until she saw something move in the grass. She quickly pounced on the little grasshopper, and bounced along after it through the grass. We returned the reception area and relaxed a little before heading back to her kennel.

Annie and Zen were all smiles when they greeted us this morning ready for a fun day in our care. They happily followed us down the hallway and into their kennel knowing it wouldn’t be long before they were heading outside for their morning trail walk; they know the routine down pat! A few moments later their bodies vibrated in excitement as I approached their kennel door with leashes in hand. It was the perfect morning for a trot along the back trail! If that wasn’t exciting enough, a short while later they headed back outside again with the rest of their group including social gal Victory. Annie and Zen were pleased that we opened up the adjacent grassy yard, and they excitedly ran over to go in and explore. While Zen had her nose to the group in exploration, Annie hung back with Oakley and Sam ready for a chase and wrestle around the yard! Soon enough Zen made her way back to Annie so she could join in the fun!

Max and Sadie were quite pleased that they were one of the first walks along the back trail this morning, excited to sniff and explore the trail as they do every morning. But they were even more excited to meet up with Husky sisters Isis and Sky for social time out in the yard. They have been hanging out with these ladies the past couple of visits and they just love the company. And even more exciting was that we opened the adjacent yard so they could have a change of scenery. Lots of exciting stuff going on for Max and Sadie and they loved every minute of it. While Max checked out the pool, Sadie investigated the yard and play structure. In fact, she had her nose to the ground most of the morning; she is a curious one!

Coco and Timbits arrived bright and early this morning full of energy and ready to go for a walk. Timbits was especially happy to have Charly the Golden accompany them, and he asked her to play throughout their stroll. Coco kept her nose glued to the ground, of course, and moseyed along a little bit behind her brother. When we went out for group time a little bit later, Timbits immediately paired up with Bailey and the fun began! They wrestled around together all across the yard, as usual. Coco wandered out towards the gate and watched Timbits wrestle with Bailey, until a couple of other dogs came out to join the party. Coco left her brother to it and went to have a little relaxation time in the sunshine by the wooden fence, where she always winds up laying on a sunny day.

Finnigan happily greeted his two regular Monday daycare friends Annie and Zen the Great Pyrenes sisters for their walk this morning. He marched along with his big fluffy pals, enjoying the lovely morning. Not long after his walk, Finnigan burst out into the yard to run around with a bunch of daycare buddies, including Bailey the Beagle! She made a perfect match for Finn and the pair flew around the yard together, wrestling and chasing one another the whole way. I found a ball and threw it for Bailey, and she leapt after it, beating Finnigan to the prize. Bailey carried the ball around the yard as high as she could, and dropped it a few times although she managed to scoop it back up and keep it from Finn’s reach. Finnigan ran over to see his pal Jemma next, and Bailey thought she might like to play too. Jemma was very busy being pet, though so Finnigan and Bailey set off to run around the yard together and met up with Timbits a few times until it was time to head back in until afternoon groups.

It was lovely to see sweet Jemma on a Monday morning! I had the pleasure of taking her for a walk alongside Vega the Husky and Merida the Golden girl. It was a beautiful morning and Jemma sniffed all the scents in the tall grass on either side of the trail as we went. She was happy to see her friends Finnigan, Coco and Timbits during group time, but was even more excited to be around her people friends. She spent lots of time getting a back scratch while we watched the other dogs together. She went to venture around the picnic table for a little while until Alyssa joined us outside, and her focus went back to being pet. Alyssa crouched down and pet Jemma until Bailey and Finnigan came rushing over to see if she’d like to play. Jemma wasn’t quite ready yet so she stayed put with Alyssa. Jemma went and romped around with Finnigan for a little while after that, until Nicki also joined us in the yard and gave Jemma even more snuggles!
