Victory and Chigo enjoyed another morning
walk together along the back trail. Although both big in size, they are
surprisingly gentle on their walks and really enjoyed one another’s company on
this beautiful morning. They were happy to spot one another out in the yard a
short while later and excited to see what adventures they could get into today!
Both Victory and Chigo were all about the toys and fetch today. While Chigo
took his time to explore the yard at first, Victory put her nose to work
knowing that the red ball must be out here somewhere from the day before. Sure
enough she found it moments later and excitedly carried it around in her mouth
in pride. She would then drop the ball by my feet but was reluctant to leave it
in case she wouldn’t get it back! Then she heard Sam, Vega and Kizmet playing
and she ran over to join in. That’s when Chigo noticed the ball and from that
moment on he was hooked. He was fetching all sorts of toys and literally
leaping into the air after them. I didn’t realized how much of a fetch-fanatic
he really was until today! He is also a very patient and obedient boy, always
in a perfect sit waiting for me to throw it!
Mocha and Issy joined Charly the Golden for
their morning trail walk today and the three of them happily trotted along
together in glee. This is probably their favorite part of the day, especially
for Mocha. She is quiet in the yard, but she definitely lets her energy out on
her walks and always has a good roll in the grass! For group time, Mocha
sunbathed with little Merida by the door; it was the warmest spot in the yard.
Meanwhile, Issy had already made her way out into the far grassy yard with Husky
pals Boris and Tasha. Nothing will slow that girl down, she is always down for
an adventure and even more so for a little wrestle with grandson Boris!
Boris and Tasha were excited to see some
old friendly faces to their crew today; they always have a good time when daycare
pals Tanner and Percy are around! But Boris was happy to see that Charly the
Golden was still here, since these two always have a blast whipping around the yard
together and wrestling in the grass. Today Boris had her rolling around on her
back while he was playfully pawing at her from above. Even though there were
some new and old faces, their routine never changes. It was all about the chase
after Boris as usual, but this time they had Percy join in the chase. Tasha
loves when Boris gets going, she can hardly wait to try and catch him and she
starts jumping up and down from her front legs and leaps in the air as he gets
closer! This bunch were happy to have some fun time together in the playroom this afternoon, where they stayed dry out of the storm while they bounced around together.
Percy loved having rambunctious Boris
around and Charly the fetch-addict. Two of his favorite things to do are play
fetch and run laps around the yard so he was definitely in good company. When
he saw Charly collecting toys in the yard, he quickly ran over to join in. The
two of them sat rather impatiently for me to throw the ball, Percy excitedly
leaped into the air after it and the two of them took turns retrieving. But
when things got exciting and they saw Boris and Tasha starting to run, they
both dropped what they were doing and joined in the grand chase across the
yard, tongues out and all! Percy couldn't contain his excitement later on in the afternoon when we made our way up to the playroom with his friends! He immediately picked up a ball and ran around continuing to bark his referee song while Boris and Charly wrestled.
I was happy to see Tanner in today, I
haven’t seen this cuddly guy for a few weeks now and he was just as excited to
be back in his happy place! First adventure of the day started with his morning
trail walk with Husky pals Boris and Tasha! While Boris and Tasha were at the
front of their lead leading the way, Tanner hung back with me and kept turning
around with the biggest smile! That infamous smile of his appeared again a
short while later while we were all hanging out in the yard. He was quite
entertained by Boris and Tasha’s silly antics. But he was more interested in
following me around the yard and looping in and around my legs, his signature
move! He would pop his head through then look back up with a great big smile
and graciously accepted all of the head rubs he could get!
Max and Sadie stretched their legs before walking out into
the yard today. They had a slower start than usual, and explored around the
yard at their own pace for a little while. I went and saw Max as he stood up
tall on the picnic table, surveying the yard. Sadie was lounging over in the
shade today instead of the sunny spot near the fence. Max and I went over to
see her and give her a pet, and Max decided he was ready to play right then and
there. He and Sadie had a wild wrestling match, pouncing and boxing with one
another, rolling around on the ground here and there. When Sadie wanted a
little break, Max and I went and jumped over the agility jump a few times,
since he’s always up for some acrobatics. After a couple of jumps, Sadie came
over to see us, ready to resume their wrestling match from before. They have
such a similar play style and it’s so great to see the bond that they share!
Coco and Timbits were happy to see some different faces out
in the yard today! After their morning trail walk, the pair met up with our
regular daycare guests, including Lola, Pearl, Merlin and Miko. They said
hellos to everyone, and Coco went to have a seat and watch Timbits play. He was
very curious about a new friend in the yard, a very little black lab puppy
named Barb. Timbits followed her around and was very happy when she started to
wiggle around and ask him to play. Coco was more than happy to hang out and
relax, leaving the silly youngsters to their games. Timbits ran around the yard
with Barb, as well as Miko and Merlin here and there. Coco eventually joined
Timbits and friends out in the grassy part of the yard, but decided to continue
spectating for the time being. We all happily went inside for a little rest
time until afternoon groups and before the storm rolled in!
Miko, Merlin and Pearl joined forces for their usual morning
walk on this lovely Tuesday morning, while Lola went for her own shorter and
more leisurely stroll in the front yard. They all met back up a little later on
during their first group outing, though and Lola and Pearl were both very
interested in their new group-mate, Barb the black lab puppy. Both Lola and
Pearl followed her around and said their hellos before getting into their usual
Tuesday activities. Miko and Merlin were keen to get up and playing, so Pearl
went to join them while Lola wandered back over to the sunny area by the wooden
fence where she always likes to have a rest. Meanwhile, Miko and Merlin were
starting up a game of chase all across the yard, which drew in a few other
friends including Timbits, Barb and Pearl. Nicki came outside to join us, and
Miko and Merlin went over to get some pets, while Lola and Pearl came to see me
for a little treat. My little daycare pals were all very content to stroll up the hall to the indoor playroom for some fun this afternoon when the weather took a turn!
