Nymeria had an action packed day. In the morning as soon as she arrived, I got her out for her walk. We adventured through the walking trails together. Shortly after her walk, it as time for her to go outside with her group for the first time. She was so excited as I let her out of the kennel, and couldn't even wait until she got outside to greet the other dogs and stopped to say hi in the hallway. Nymeria was so happy to see everyone, that she instantly started to play. The group of huskies ran around racing each other to the agility yard. When they got into the yard, Nymeria sped ahead and she ran through the agility tube as the other huskies followed her. They blocked either end of the tube, and Kyah sat on top to keep watch. Koda ran inside to chase Nymeria out, which Nymeria did a huge lap around the yard to get away.

Bauer made lots of new friends today. In the morning, he was happy as usual to head outside and get some fresh air. After his first outing, Bauer went for his walk on the trails with Adele. A little bit after that, it was time for his next outdoor play time. When he got outside, he noticed something was different. There were some new dogs in his group. This got him very excited. He first ran up to Rex, and they exchanged a greeting. Then, Bauer ran over to Zoe. They sniffed each other too, and Bauer let out a little whine of excitement. Finally, Bauer trotted over to Kid to say hello. After making sure to greet everyone, Bauer went back to Rex. They stood together and sniffed each others noses. They seemed to make great friends. Bauer also got lots and lots of cuddles from me. He sat right on my feet as I scratched his ears and back.

Zoe had a good first day. When she arrived in the morning, I got her out on a walk with Hobart and Riley. She had a great time exploring the trails with them. Shortly after that, when it came time for her to be introduced to her group, they all gave her a warm welcome. Bauer spent an extra long time greeting her and they seemed to make good friends. Zoe's new friend Riley really took a liking to her, so they spent a lot of time together. Riley would walk alongside of Zoe as she explored. Anytime Zoe would stop, Riley would pounce excitedly at her. Zoe explored around the pool, and even stuck a paw in and drank a bit of water. It must of felt good on her warm paws.

Kid had a nice day. In the morning when she arrived, it wasn't long before we got her out for her first group rotation. She followed me down the hall, and even began to make new friends on our way outside. The dogs in her group came over to say hello, and she sniffed them. When we got outside, she was happy to just roam free in the yard and enjoy the sunshine. She seemed to enjoy being in the nice grassy part of the yard by the wooden fence. She sniffed around there, and some of her friends even came to join her. She wandered off into a different part of the yard, where she investigated the blue plastic pool filled with cold water. She stood outside of it, and stuck her nose up to the water to smell it. She then sat there and relaxed by the pool while watching the other dogs splash around.

Amira met lots of friends today. In the morning, she was happy to go outside with her group. She got lots of cuddles from me and enjoyed wandering around. A little later on, Amira went for her walk as usual. She seemed to enjoy exploring through the trails and burning off some energy. Then, it was time for her to go out with her group again for play time. For this rotation, she went out with a new group. As soon as she got outside she was being bombarded with happy dogs wanting to greet her. Bella and Pippin were the first two to come over and say hello. They sniffed each others noses and Pippin even tried to play with Amira. After having a bit of fun with them, Amira came over to me while letting out barks of excitement. She brushed up against my legs and kept doing that as I pet her. She really enjoyed the cuddles!

Casey had a nice day. He jumped up and down with excitement as soon as he knew it was time to go outside with his group this morning. He greeted everyone as usual then wandered around. Soon after that, Casey went on his walk with Leah and Poppy. After having a nice walk, he went outside with his group for playtime. At first, Casey just kept to himself and explored around the yard on his own. Eventually, he decided he wanted to play. He ran over to his pal Bella and started to pounce playfully at her. They had fun playing together, and it didn't take long before he was all tired out. Casey went back to exploring for a while. Then, Pippin came over to him and started to pounce around him. She jumped on him and he started to swat her off of him. They had such a fun time playing!

Leah and Poppy had a great day. In the morning, the girls were very happy to see me. Poppy cuddled up to me during our first group outing, and Leah enjoyed wandering around with friends. Not long after their first outdoor group, the girls went on a walk. They walked through the trails with their pal Casey. The three dogs had a great time together! When it was time for their next outdoor play time, they were both eager to get outside and see their friends. Right away, Bella got in on the group playing action. She ran around with Molly, Pippin, Casey, and Bella. They had so much fun chasing each other around and pouncing all over. Leah got so excited that sometimes she would bark happily. Meanwhile, Poppy enjoyed a more relaxing time outside. When she wasn't wandering around the yard sniffing everything in sight, she was over by me getting a cuddle. She sat at my feet while I pet her. She loved having her ears and back scratched.

Bella had a fun day. In the morning, she happily went outside for her first group rotation. She wandering around a bit and even played with Pippin quickly. Then, it was time for walks. Bella had a great time walking and exploring through the trails with her friend Lola. They make a great walking pair. Soon after her walk, Bella went outside again for her outdoor play time. When she first got in the yard, she quickly greeted everyone then started to explore. After spending a bit of time on her own exploring, she decided to go find some friends to play with. Casey ran over to her, and began to playfully pounce at her. This got Bella quite excited so they played for a bit. Their little game turned into a huge game with the whole group. Eventually all of the dogs came over and joined in on them playing. Bella enjoyed chasing after her friends around the yard. She looked like she was having so much fun! At the end of that outdoor play time, she hopped in the pool quickly with Casey to cool off.

Charlotte was so excited for groups today! She could hardly wait to get outside and was bouncing around when I went to get her from her kennel. Right away, Charlotte raced out the door and did a quick lap of the yard to see if there was anything new and interesting. The picnic table caught her attention, so Charlotte jogged over to it and leaped right up without hesitation. The other dogs were confused as to what she was doing. A few of them made their way to where Charlotte was perched and gave her plenty of sniffs. She took this as an invitation to play and jumped down on the nearest dog, which happened to be Zennon. He happily pounced back and the two of them ran around together, bouncing and spinning all over the place, until they quieted down for a breather. When Zennon wandered off, Charlotte decided to find another playmate. First she had to stop at the pool and get a drink. I encouraged her to put her feet in, but Charlotte didn’t seem to think that was a good idea and just stuck her nose in the water instead. Marley appeared beside Charlotte and attempted to lick her face. She immediately play-bowed, then took off at top speed. Charlotte continued to run circles around the yard while Marley barked encouragement, until we headed inside. By then Charlotte was ready for a nap so she curled up in her kennel to rest before we went outside again.

Dexter is always such a delight to have here. After a nice walk in the sun this morning, he was more than ready to get outside again for groups. Dexter led his friends out the door and immediately set out with his nose to the ground. He must have picked up an interesting scent in the grass, because all of a sudden he was racing over to the far corner of the yard, still sniffing. Once he discovered whatever was at the end of the trail, Dexter spun around and began hunting for something else. His nose led him all the way to the fence where he paused for a moment to watch the world going on outside of the yard. I made my way over to Dexter to see if he wanted to run around and play a game, although he was content to just cuddle with me. He sat on my feet and soaked up the attention before heading out to explore the yard further. The tunnel apparently smelled quite good today, because he and his friend Odessa were busy sniffing it all over for a while. Then Dexter headed over to the pool to get a drink, and went to sit in the shade with a few of his friends. The group socialized for a bit. A couple of the dogs went to run around, but Dexter decided to stay with me and get a nice back rub while he watched the dogs running around. Once it was time to head inside, Dexter suddenly got a burst of energy and went hurtling to the far corner of the yard. He ran laps around the tunnel and finally agreed to come in once he saw his friend Duke heading through to the door.

Duke was delighted to be out in the yard with a group today! He strolled out the door with his tail wagging, ready to meet his new friends. Right away Duke got a warm welcome from lots of happy dogs. Odessa and Charlotte found him to be very interesting and gave him a good sniff, while Duke said hello to Marley. He then managed to wriggle out from the crowd of happy dogs and wandered over to the picnic table to sniff around. Duke noticed me taking pictures, so of course he had to come over and attempt to wash my face. Then he lounged around in the sun for a while, in the company of Zennon, while I gave him a backrub. After Duke was content with all of the cuddling, he wandered over to the fence where he proceeded to thoroughly sniff everything that he came across. A rope toy in the grass proved to be quite interesting and Duke nosed it around for a while before something better caught his attention. Duke was certainly happy to be with the other dogs again and every time he bumped into someone from his group he would happily sniff their face, and then both dogs would continue on their way with wagging tails. Once Duke had sniffed everything there was to sniff and said hello to every dog in the yard, he went to the pool to get a drink. Dexter had the same idea, so the two boys hung out by the water for a bit while I took pictures and gave them plenty of attention.

Monte, Tessa and Simon had quite the exciting day! It started with a nice walk on the trail, and then it was time for groups. All three of them were so excited. They seemed to know when it was their turn in the yard and they were bouncing around with enthusiasm. They all ran around my feet and quickly said hello before racing to the door. Once outside, the three were met with a big surprise – eight happy puppies! Tessa was delighted and immediately jumped into the middle of the activity. She weaved around everyone and leaped up and down while the puppies tried to figure out what to make of her. Monte was also in a playful mood and he went right up to the nearest puppy, gave her a poke with his nose, and then quickly raced away. Simon, on the other hand, wasn’t too sure what all these fluffy balls were. He let a couple of the puppies sniff him and paw at him before heading after Monte. The two boys made their way to the far yard where they could sniff around in peace, while Tessa was climbing over a pile of puppies at the picnic table. I headed in the same direction as Monte and Simon. Soon the two of them came running over to me, jumping up in search of cuddles. I sat down on a rock and let them both climb into my lap. Tessa abandoned her new friends for a brief moment to come racing over and join in on the cuddling. All three of them managed to balance on my lap. Then Tessa gave me a lick on the chin, hopped down and went tearing after the puppies again. She had loads of fun jumping around with all of them. Eventually Simon worked up the nerve to say hello to the puppies and wandered over. Immediately he was swarmed by a group of them, but this time he didn’t seem to mind as they climbed all over him. He then went to the pool for a drink. Monte had been exploring the other yard and when he came back, he was ready to play. He raced into the crowd and startled one of the puppies, who gave him a playful growl and then attempted to tackle him. While he and Tessa continued to run around with the puppies, Simon climbed into my lap again and cuddled with me, watching his brother and sister and occasionally giving me a look as if to ask how they could put up with those crazy bundles of fur.
