Groups

Bella had a lovely day. In the morning, we enjoyed some time together outside. She stayed by my side a lot and got some cuddles. Then, Bella went on her walk on the trails with her pal Remi. Not long after her walk, it was time for Bellas group to go out for their next outdoor play time. When Bella first got outside, she enjoyed wandering around and exploring on her own. But in no time, her friend tango was all over her trying to get her to play. Eventually she gave in and she, tango, and pippin began to chase each other around. Every once in awhile they'd stop to pounce all over each other. Bella had a great time during her extra attention today. To change up the location today, I brought her to the play pen out front. As we were making our way outside, Bella ran into Julie in her wheelchair. Bella excitedly greeted Julie, and Julie barked. We approached the pen, and I noticed Bellas ears perked right up at the sight of all the toys. There was a little ball pit and toys scattered all around the pen. When we got in, she started to sniff around first thing. She went from toy to toy, checking them out. She was very curious of the ball pit, and attempted to put a foot in, but the noise of the balls moving around made her jump back. After all this exploring around the play pen, I pulled out some treats for Bella. She say politely and I gave her a few. Then, as I was sitting cross legged on the grass with her, she put her two front paws on my leg and started to sniff my hair. We cuddled for a bit, and she curled up half on my lap. She seemed to enjoy having her back scratched.

Keegan and Dugan enjoyed their time outside today. In the morning, the boys were ready to go outside and explore during their first outing of the day. In the yard they stuck together and sniffed around in plants and on the gravel. Then, it was time for walks. Keegan and Dugan walked together along with their pal Charlie. When the boys went out for their second outdoor play time, they followed each other out the door and around the yard for a bit. Eventually, Dugan made his way to the furthest part of the grassy field where he found a fox toy. He scooped it right up and carried it around with him. He brought over to me and dropped it on the ground. I picked it up and whipped it across the yard for him, and he chased after it. He once again brought the toy to me, but this time when I went to pick it up he grabbed the other end and started a game of tug of war. Meanwhile, Keegan enjoyed relaxing. He hung out with Obi and Charlie near the door in the shade. When I came over to him, he was excited and rubbed against my legs. I gave him lots of cuddles. I know how much the boys love their treats, so I brought out some of Dugans kibble for them. They got super excited when I showed it to them, and both sat politely for me.

Bruno had a nice day. In the morning, he seemed quite excited to see me and let out little whines of excitement. I let him outside and he happily ran around the yard greeting all of his new friends. Bruno was pleased to be going on a walk with Lexi through the trails this morning. They had a great time together. A little while later, Bruno went out again with his group for an outdoor play time. He bounced around on his way out the door. Once again when he got outside, he greeted everyone. He saw a new friend in the group, max, and immediately ran up to him. Bruno playfully pounce around at Max's feet. Max pounced back at Bruno, and they chased each other around for a bit. After he played for a bit, Bruno headed to the furthest grassy yard. There, he wandered all over and sniffed around in the grass. He came over to me for a bit and got some cuddles. Bruno went for an extra walk around in the field with Megan for his one-on-one time today. Along the way, they ran into Tayler and Bauer who were also hanging out together. Bruno followed his nose all around the field until he and Megan made their way back to the front door. Bruno stood eagerly at the door, knowing there were treats on the other side.

Xena had a good day. When I saw her bright and early this morning, I gave her a quick cuddle before letting her outside with her brothers. They wandered around together. Then, Xena went on a walk with Cesaer and Zak. They had a great time as usual. During her next outdoor time, Xena spent her time happily wandering through the plants in the yard. She occasionally took a little nibble of some. She stuck by Zak a lot, and when he went to go take a dip in the pool she watched from the side. I guess the sun may have made her quite hot too, so she got into the pool after him. She stood and let the water cool her paws down. She shook off when she got out of the pool and headed back toward some plants to sniff around.

Max and Sadie were so excited to get outside for group. I always try and wait for them to calm down a bit befroe I let them out. It took a little while before Max and Sadie could sit still long enough to earn play time. As soon as I opened the door they were off racing around the yard. After a quick hello to the rest of the group, Max and Sadie were ready to play. It didn't take long for them to meet up with Koda and go tearing off around the yard once more. Their antics soo caught the eyes of Rosie and Magic who went running over to join in. They all had a blast racing and wrestling at top speeds. Eventually they did need a bit of a breather so Max and Sadie headed over by the play structure to do some exploring. Max quickly ended up in the play structure and giving a very thorough once over. Sadie was more about exploring in the grass. Max got his breath back first and went trotting back to the other yard to see about getting all the huskies going once more. They weren't quite ready to run so they all went to splash and drink in the pool. Sadie started to make her way over to join them when she was distracted by a toy. Max curious about what she was looking at went over to check it out as well. The huskies left the pool and started running around again. Max quickly left the toy and went join them. Sadie left the toy as well, but she went to go get a drink. That done she went racing off to join the others.

Gracie went trotting out to the far yard then stopped to see what the others were up to. Once she was satisfied she put her nose to the ground and set off in search of all things ineresting. As Gracie was going around the yard she was joined by Remi. They spent some time hanging out together until Gracie saw something else she needed to smell. Her path eventually led her over to the back fence. Bauer wondering what she was up to went over to check it out for himself. He then left her for a while, but rejoin Gracie by another fence. After a little more exploring together Gracie made her way over to another fence to sample the grass growing there and check things out. After a little more touring in the far yard we decided to head out to the agility yard. As soon as we got out there Gracie as hit with the zoomies and took of racing to go diving into the tunnel. She wasn't alone long as Remi went tearing after her. The two of them had so much fun tearing around the yard and playing in the tunnel.
Gracie got to spend some nice one-on-one time with one of our volunteers in the playroom this morning. She sat up on the couch with him and enjoyed some pets. After they hung out together for a little while, Gracie came to join some of the other staff in the reception area, where she sat up on the armchair. Later on, Susan took Gracie out for her training session. They practiced all of Gracie's basic commands until Gracie decided that she was all done working for the day and laid down to rest.

Once Bauer realized we were heading off on an adventure he perked up and followed me out. We made our way out to the front and did a little touring around checking out anything that caught his attention. I grabbed a couple toys to see if he wanted to play. Bauer wasn't overly interested in playing, just cuddling! He situated himself next to me for lots of pets and attention. I sat in the grass so I wouldn't have to bend over and about two seconds after that Bauer was in my lap. He seemed pretty happy to just hang there and get all the pet he could handle. Bauer was pretty happy to make his way outside for group time. He headed out and checked on what the rest of the group was up to. With that done, Bauer decided to get a little exploring in. When I went and joined him in the yard he was pretty quick to leave his explorations to come over for some pets and attention. Bauer's attention was then caught by Gracie who was looking at something over by the far fence. He spent a little time with her then made his way back to me. When Gracie moved on to a different fence he decided to go over and join her once more. Gracie moved on once more and Bauer decided to do some more of his own exploring for a while. It wasn't long before he ended up back at my side wanting more love and attention.

Dexter was pretty happy to head out for group time. As soon as he got out the door his nose hit the ground and he was off in search of something interesting. It didn't take long for Dexter to head right for the section of grass by the lounge. He apparently found it quite interesting and barely lifted his head as he moved around. Dexter's interest caugth the eye of Millie who went running over to join him. She soon left but Dexter was determined to check out every blade of grass he could get his nose on. Eventually he did actually finish with that section and headed out to check out more of the yard. As Dexter went around he spotted Millie in the pool. Curious he decided to make his way over and see what she was up to. First Dexter had to circle the pool and check it out then he switched to just watching Millie in the pool. Once he was bored of that he was off to the far yard to do some more exploring.

Millie was practically vibrating she was so excited to get outside. She went tearing out into the yard and was immediatly distracted by the greenery along the fence. After Millie had thoroughly checked out that section of yard she decided to go and see what Dexter was looking at over by the lounge. Not finding it nearly as interesting as Dexter did Millie left him to do something else. She met up with Lola not too long after. Lola she found highly interesting and spent qutie some time giving her a very thorough once over. Millie even stood on her hind legs so she could get just that little bit closer to Lola. Eventually she had checked out Lola as much as she possibly could she decided it was time for the pool. When Millie got there she found Molly in the pool with a toy. She waited patiently for Molly to get out and as soon she did Millie was in there and quite happy about it. Feeling nice a cool from the pool Millie headed out to do a little exploring. It wasn't long before she ended up back in the pool. Millie loves her afternoon walk for her one-on-one time. She followed her nose all around in the long grass, which led her to the walking trail. She was happy to walk freely in whichever direction she pleased. Millie was very intrigued when we made our way down onto the little bridge. She sat for a treat before heading back to have a little snooze on her big bed.
