For Keegan's extra attention today we started out cuddling in reception. after spending some time cuddling and having a few treats Keegan decided he wanted to go outside, so we went out for a nice walk. While we walk through the field Keegan stopped a few times to take a few munchies on grass, smell some hay and roll around in the grass. After spending some time in the field I put Keegan out on the long line at the front of the building, while he ran around and sniffed I went inside to grab some treats. When I came back with the treats Keegan showed off all the cool things he knows how to do for a treat, like sitting, laying down, giving a paw, and rolling over. Once it was time to go back to his kennel Keegan received a few treats before going to curl up on his bed.
For Bogarts extra attention today we spent some time cuddling in reception. When he first got into reception Bogart spent some time sniffing around to see what was going on up there after thoroughly sniffing everything Bogart caught eye of the toy box, and he went over to rifle through it. After checking out all the cool toys that we have Bogart showed off all the cool things that he can do for a few treats, I think his favourite check to show is how he can stand in the air to receive a treat. After receiving a few treats Bogart asked kindly if we could go outside, so we went out to the pen outfront and Bogart spent some time waddling around in the pool. After spending some time in the pool Bogart decided he wanted to go for a walk, so we went to wander through the field until it was time to go back to his kennel

Keegan was in a delightful mood today. Right from the start of the morning, he was prancing around and looking for someone to play with. After a nice walk with a couple of his friends, Keegan was more than ready to get outside for group time. He raced out of his kennel and bumped into three bundles of fur. The puppies quickly jumped on Keegan, who happily pounced back. He tumbled around with the little huskies for a bit – Vega was his favourite playmate – before heading to the grassy yard to sniff around. He teamed up with Tic Tac to explore near the fence. One of the big rocks caught Keegan’s attention and he hurried over to climb on it. From his new vantage point, Keegan sat down to observe the yard. The weather was perfect today and all of the dogs were enjoying it. Keegan soaked up some more sun before he leaped down from his perch and trotted over to say hello to me, immediately rubbing against my leg in search of cuddles. I knelt down to pet him and he happily snuggled up beside me while I rubbed his back. A few other dogs came over for some attention of their own, so Keegan wandered towards the picnic table where the puppies were currently playing. He barked at them in encouragement and seemed to enjoy the show they were putting on. Keegan was certainly a happy guy in the yard today!
Bogart is such a cutie. He was full of energy this morning and couldn’t wait to be out of his kennel. On walks, Bogart enjoyed a pleasant stroll down the trail with a couple canine friends, and was still ready to go once he got back. As I started letting dogs outside for groups, Bogart knew that it was his turn also and sat patiently at the door of his kennel. He immediately raced outside with the others. I headed to the far yard where a few dogs were already running around, so Bogart came trotting after me. I crouched down to cuddle with him and quickly got a face full of dog as he hopped up to give me a lick on the nose. He sat beside me for a while, loving the attention, and then he and I went for a wander around the yard. Bogart happily posed for the camera and showed off his skills when I asked him to sit. After we made a full lap of the yard, Bogart headed over to socialize with some of the other dogs. He and Teddie sniffed around together. Once they had finished investigating an interesting smell in the yard, Bogart made his way to the shade where most of the other dogs were lounging. He poked his nose under the picnic table and quickly reversed as three puppies leapt out at him. He hopped on top of the picnic table instead. There was plenty to watch in the yard today; some of the dogs were playing and running around, although most of them were content to just relax in the nice weather. Bogart was no exception and he had a lovely day enjoying the sun!
Tic Tac is always one of the first of her group outside. She just loves to be wandering around the yard. This morning was off to a great start with nice weather, walks and groups. Tic Tac hurried out the door and was immediately greeted by a handful of happy puppies. She politely said hello and declined their offer to play, so the three went running elsewhere and Tic Tac made her way to the far corner of the yard where she could sniff around, and get some peace and quiet away from those rambunctious puppies! Keegan and I followed her out there, and he went off to explore while I headed over to see if Tic Tac wanted to cuddle. She happily trotted over to say hello to me and leaned on my leg for a bit while I pet her. After she was satisfied with the attention, Tic Tac continued to wander around with her nose in the grass. She had Keegan and Obi to keep her company and was quite content to spend most of her time simply sniffing around. The yard must have smelled good today. After everything had been sniffed, Tic Tac headed over to the shade. She decided to spend some time hanging out with a few of the other dogs that were lying around. She and I cuddled for a bit more while I was taking pictures of the dogs, and then Tic Tac went to explore around the yard again.
Austin is always such a happy little guy. He was delighted to head outside for his walk this morning, and had apparently worked quite hard on his walk because when it was time for groups, Austin was busy napping away. He gave me a look that said, “Do I really have to get up?” so I scooped him up and carried him around outside until he was awake enough to play with the others. The puppies, as always, were happy to see another playmate and Joe quickly ran over to pounce on Austin. Austin wasn’t quite sure what the puppy was doing and sat back while Joe play-bowed and barked; then Austin gave him a quick sniff and continued on his way. He trotted a lap around the far yard, poked his head into the tunnel and hopped onto one of the big rocks. After that, he sniffed around with Obi and Teddie for a while. The weather was very nice today and most of the dogs were happy to just laze around once they had sniffed everything, so Austin decided to do the same and headed over to the shade where he could socialize with his friends. Austin nosed around the picnic table and said hello to a few of the other dogs. Then he noticed me taking pictures and quickly ran over to see me. Austin immediately attempted to climb into my lap, looking for cuddles. We sat together for a bit, until Austin was satisfied with the attention, and then he wandered off to say hi to Coco, who was sprawled on her side. He decided to use her as an example and sat down to soak up some sun.
Sophie is such a sweetheart and was wagging her tail in
delight this morning when I showed up at her kennel to give her some cuddles
before heading outside. Sophie rubbed her head up against my arm trying to get
as much cuddles as she could before having to go out. Finally after a little
more cuddle time it was time to go out into the yard with her friends. Sophie, being the explorer extraordinaire that she is, ran off with her nose to the
ground before any of her friends even made it out. She searched all through the
yard looking for something that I could not see. Some of her friends joined
her, but eventually had to leave because they could not keep up with Sophie’s
amazing nose. Her search eventually led her over to where I was standing so I
took this opportunity to get more cuddle time with her. I gave her some ear
scratches and back rubs which she really enjoyed before heading back out to
explore. By the end of group time she had searched through every inch of the
yard and turned up empty handed. I gave her a head pat and a hug for all the
good work she did which made her tail thump back and forth against me. She had
a wonderful time today and it was a lot of fun getting to watch her explore
through the yard and also give her a few cuddles throughout the day.
