Grace had another five star day. She was quite the character
out on her walk with best buddy Cooper, along with her new pal Oakley. I had my
hands full managing these monkeys as they raced around the trail with wagging
tails. In the yard Grace could hardly wait for all her friends to get a move
on. She has been so full of spunk these last couple beautiful days. Grace was
very quick to meet up with a hound friend named Olivia. Olivia is a puppy
basset hound, full of energy and spunk. It took no time at all for the pair to
begin racing around. Their fast action got the other dogs interested and next
thing Grace knew, she had Cooper, Timbits, Mikka and Barb hot on her heels.
These group of dogs raced around the big yard as fast as possible. They ran and
ran until Cooper finally dove into the pool to cool down, which is exactly
where Grace ended up too. For Grace's extra attention today we stayed inside with a basket full of toys. Grace was extremely enthusiastic about chasing around this purple, stuffed turtle we've dubbed "Shelly". We had fun throwing Shelly high up into the air for Grace to catch; afterward she'd take Shelly over to a chair to cuddle. Grace also enjoyed playing tug-of-war with a squeaky toy that looked like a fox. I'm not sure if she was having more fun with the tugging competition or simply relishing in the squeaks and mayhem. Finally, we settled down on the floor with treats that we batted around playing keep-away. Her reflexes were incredible so each game was over in a matter of seconds.
Willis is such a spunky guy. He had such a fun first day. It
took him a moment to settle into the yard and his group. He took his time wandering
around with his nose to the ground, investigating the grass and all the other
greenery around the yard. When some of his group mates went zooming buy, his ears
perked up and he waddled after them. They were quick to turn around and invite
him to play along. Willis wasn’t too sure at first, as they were much younger
and very energetic. After he watched all the fun they were having he slowly trotted
up to them to join in. Grace was very interested in him, as well as Barb and Cooper.
Willis took his time to greet everyone before committing to the games. I was
surprised when I saw Willis hop in the pool with his friends to cool off. He seemed
to enjoy the cool water on his paws on this hot day. As his outdoor time
carried on, he opened up more and more. He was feeling very comfortable with
all the dogs and was very keen to spend some time by my side too. He is such a
cuddly guy, with a great smile which he enjoys to show off.
It’s always nice to have Bella and Jake in for daycare.
These two love there time here. They were keen to get out on a walk and were
even more excited to walk with a lovely puppy named Mikka. Mikka kept them both
busy on their walk, zooming around them weaving under them and around them.
When the walk was over Bella and Jake were happy to take a breath from the crazy
pup. When group time rolled around, Jake met up with Mikka right away. He was
eager to play with her, off leash in the yard. The duo ran around the yard very fast for a
brief period. Jake got distracted when he saw Bella rolling in the grass. He
had no idea what she was up to and had to stop to investigate. HE danced around
her as she flailed about on the ground. She didn’t give in to his request to
play, rather she sauntered off with a wagging tail. Jake didn’t’ take it too
hard, instead he wiggled up to me looking for pets and cuddles as per usual.
Bella and Jake spent a lot of time sniffing and exploring. Since there last
long visit with us, we have remodeled the yards a bit offering them much more
space. They loved moseying around the yards with their noses deep in the fresh
grass, investigating all the new territory.
Bella had a blast with all of her pals today! She started her day by heading out on a big walk with her friend Kane. She was so excited, running all over the place and checking out all the different smells. She was a very good girl today and didn’t stay right at the end of the leash; instead she walked side by side with Kane. This afternoon she enjoyed running around the yard with her Husky friend, Isis, and even hopped in the pool with her. She splashed around for a moment before deciding to hop out and run through the agility tunnel. She tried to get Viggo, the German Shepherd, to play as well but didn’t have much luck, so instead they hung around and relaxed together in the shade.
Chloe was a ball of energy today and couldn’t wait to head out on her walk this morning. She had a blast exploring all the different sounds and smells in the grass with her buddies. This afternoon, she headed straight to the pool when we all went outside and tumbled around in the water with her friend Kane for a bit. After they were done splashing around they tore around the yard playing a game of chase with their friend Finnigan. They all chased each other around at top speed and wrestled in the grass before settling down and heading over to the play structure. Chloe climbed right underneath and got comfy in the shade to relax for a little while before heading in. Chloe was such a happy girl today, and brought the fun with her wherever she went!
Kane had a great time today with all his buddies, and started the day off with a big walk. He was joined by the German Shepherd, Bella, and was very content as he sniffed the grass and trotted around the field. This afternoon, he had a good time tearing around the yard with everyone and playing in the pool. He got right in the water and wrestled around for a bit with his friend, Chloe before lying right down in the pool to cool off. He loved playing chase today, and was joined by Chloe, Finnigan, and Tucker, the Golden retriever. They all raced around the yard and rolled around in the grass together. Kane had an absolute blast! When he got tired he headed back over to the pool and got a nice scratch behind the ear before heading in. He is such a sweet guy, and brought lots of fun and excitement to the group today!
Finnigan was absolutely full of energy today, and had so much fun running around with all his buddies! He had a blast on his walk, and loved checking out all the sounds and smells in the grass. During playtime this afternoon he was so excited to play, and headed straight for a ball as soon as we got out there. His favourite this afternoon was fetch, and sprinted after the ball and tumbled through the grass with it every time. When we was all tired out, he came over and splashed around in the pool to cool off. He was right at home in the water, and had a blast rolling around in the pool with his pal Chloe. He was also very happy to play chase with everyone, and joined Chloe and Kane as they tore around the yard. He had quite a busy day! Then, he came over and jumped up on the play structure looking for some cuddles and a scratch behind the ear—he is such a sweet boy!
Annie and Zen had lots of fun hanging out with all their friends today! It was pretty warm out so they decided to hang out in the shade for a while, and were joined by Oakley and Viggo, the German Sheperd. After they were done chilling out in the shade, Oakley joined them as they made their way around the yard, checking everything out. They even ran into a little frog! They were very curious about what it was but it hopped away before they had a chance to chase after it. They were very content to mingle with all the dogs, and wander around the yard before heading in.
Oakley had a very relaxed day today, and enjoyed hanging out with all the buddies. She had a great time on her walk, and was very content as she checked out all the sounds and smells in the grass. This afternoon, she enjoyed hanging out in the shade with her big gentle friends Annie and Zen, and wandered around the yard with them exploring all the nooks and crannies. She is such a sweet girl and absolutely loved getting lots of cuddles today. She came and sat with me and I gave her a good long scratch behind the ear. She also wandered over to check out he pool and dipped her paw in the water before deciding to come back for more cuddles before heading inside.
