Boris and Tasha enjoyed their morning walk just the two of
them this morning! They explored the grass alongside the trail and stayed focused
on where they were going, saving their energy for later. Boris and Tasha were
thrilled to meet up with Boris’ half-sister and Tasha’s granddaughter, Ayla.
She zipped around the yard like a little bird, flying as quickly as she could
with Boris, Tasha, Magic and Vega chasing after them. Ayla tumbled under the
picnic table and her friends surrounded her hiding place, waiting for her to
pop back out and continue the chase. Tasha jumped up on top of the table and
stared down at Ayla’s nose that was poking out of the bench, while Boris went
off to wrestle with Vega some more. Vega led Boris to the kiddie pool, where
they both climbed in to splash around alongside some of their other pals. Tasha
had hopped down from the table and came to see what her son and friends were up
to. The games of chase started back up shortly after, and lasted the rest of
our time together!
Finnigan was so pleased to meet plenty of new friends out in
the yard today! We had lots of dogs come in for the weekend this morning and
Finnigan was very excited to see his old pal Hudson, a fellow doodle. Finnigan
went back and forth between playing fetch with Hudson, Barb the puppy, and
Charly the Golden, and running around in a big game of chase with the whole group.
Finnigan went to have a splash in the pool while Barb, Charly and Hudson picked
up some of the toys from the grass. He didn’t leave them to have the toys all
to themselves for too long, though and went racing back over to play some more!
What a pleasure it was to see Max and Sadie
back today, they’ve been away for a couple weeks and we missed those sweet
faces! Well they were just as excited to be back and ready to kick their day
off with a morning trail walk with Kinsey. They definitely missed the trail and
made sure to sniff out every inch of it along their walk! They were happy to
see that their big fluffy beds were set up and just waiting for them to arrive.
They excitedly made themselves comfortable and curled up together until it was
their turn to head outside. They were both pleasantly surprised to see that we
made some modifications to our yard and had so much more room to run and
explore. To no surprise, both of their noses were glued to the ground in
exploration and I even had a hard time calling them over! Once they were done
their investigative duties, they made their way back to their favorite spot and
battled one another on the picnic table!
Grace had an extra special day because she
got to meet daycare pal and fellow Beagle friend Bailey! I knew Grace and
Bailey would hit it off right away; they share similar energetic personalities and
knew they would make a good match. Sure enough, these two along with Cooper and
Mikka had a blast together out in the yard. Bailey and Grace parted ways
momentarily and Bailey had an epic-wrestling match with Mikka in the play
structure. Meanwhile, Grace was leaping across the yard after Cooper who was
chasing after the red ball. Soon enough, Beagle friends Timbits, Coco and
Olivia joined in and Cooper had a pack of beagles chasing him with Grace in the
lead! We were very happy to have Bailey join us for her now usual Friday
daycare, she always knows how to get the party started and she definitely
brought out the most playful side of Grace!
