Max and Sadie Q. have been a delight to walk the last three days. They know exactly what time it is when I head into the back play room with leashes in hand. With little fuss, the pair get buckled up and we head out. They have gotten so good at being calm prior to walks. We were enjoying a nice relaxing walk, when a frog interrupted us. Sadie nearly lost her mind when she spotted it hopping along. She began darting towards it and pounced right at it. Luckily the frog escaped, however, Sadie continued to try and get it. The frog was just out of reach which drove Sadie mad. We continued to walk forward as she walked far behind me still trying to get towards the frog. In the yard, the pair were keen to sniff and explore. Sadie loved hanging out in the play structure, where she had a birds eye view of the yard and her brother. When she was too hot up top, she went beneath where the ground was cool from the shade. Meanwhile, Max was running around, exploring with a wagging tail. He dipped his paws in the pool a couple times before setting off to find a toy. While Sadie and I cuddled on the picnic table Max hung out in the yard exploring. HE was sure to find us to get in on the cuddle action too before we head indoors.

Spencer loves his time with us. He darts down the hall and into the back with a wagging tail, eager to say hello to all the staff members. When I got him for our walk he was really excited to see Issy and Mocha, as well as myself. He danced in circles as I tried to get him on a leash. Finally, he settled down enough for me to clip him up, and then we set off. On the walk Spencer lead the way as Issy and Mocha wandered behind. In the yard today Spencer was very busy sniffing and exploring. The fresh cut grass in the agility yard revealed a lot of new scents to be explored. He was happy wandering around with his nose to the ground, until he was interrupted by the huskies zooming around. The swarm of 5 huskies took him by surprise, and he was quickly involved in the fun. Spencer loved participating in the fast action. He was very keen on taking his buddy Kyah's side, and sticking with her as she motored around. He had a great time watching them all fool around in, on and around the tunnel as well as in the pool. He was right in on all the busy games today, but was sure to take a break to spend some one on one time with me. Spencer loved the stuffed animal I brought out to the yard and we played some brief tug, before he ran off with it. Spencer then carried the toy around until it was time to return indoors.

Tsavo was her usual, wonderful self today. She was so keen to head out on the trail with gal pals, Sophie and Chloe. These three ladies had a fabulous time out on the fresh cut path. They motored along with their noses to the ground, picking up on all the scents under their noses. In the yard Tsavo was keen to get outdoors and say hello to all her group mates. As usual, she took her time with her greetings, ensuring to get to know everyone. She was happy to see me sit down on a boulder. She came carting over and instantly put her head between my legs. I gave her some nice snuggles before she took off to explore. Tsavo loved watching the huskies play around, but wasn’t too keen to get involved. After a lot of supervision of the games, she wandered off on her own to check out the perimeter of the yard. Tsavo loves checking every inch of the yard out especially when there is fresh cut grass like today.

Sadie F. has been a lovely girl to have around. She is always eager to get out on her leash and hang out with the staff members. Sadie has recently discovered the stream out back, which has quickly become one of her favourite places to check out. She practically drags me there on our walks, however, as soon as we get there she takes several moments to gain the courage to put her nose in the water. When she finally gets her paws wet she gets excited and continues to explore in the shallow waters. Sadie loves wandering down the stream before carrying on along our trail. When we are inside Sadie is sure to stop and say hello to everyone she passes. She greets everyone with a wagging tail. ON her group walks in the morning she is always so excited to make a new friend. She great walking with another dog, it gives her someone to hang out with and keeps her distracted enough so she doesn’t hop and play. Sadie is such a lovely lady.

Issy and Mocha had another wonderful day well spent in our care. They were just thrilled to start their morning off with their usual morning trot and happy to have daycare pal Spencer keep them company. It was business as usual out in the yard a short while later; Mocha was very pleased to find the perfect spot to lounge out in the sun and she enjoyed endless amounts of love and cuddles. Issy found herself all the way out into the far grassy yard with her nose to the ground. Even though she comes here twice a week, it’s always a new daily adventure for her! Kimi and little Resa kept Mocha company for most of the morning; Kimi adores Mocha and always loves to spend her Thursdays in her company. But perhaps her favorite part of the day was spent walking with new little brother Cub! Although not fully interested, she was very gentle and led the way down the trail.

While the girls were sunbathing in the front yard, rambunctious daycare boys Percy, Teddy and Cai were playing an epic game of fetch with Golden pal Charly. Percy and Charly always have a blast when they are out in the yard together. It's all about the toys and the two of them leaped in the air and chased one another in and out of the pool! While Percy and Charly were whipping up a storm and splashing around in the pool, Teddy was excitedly herding and running circles around them. He picked up on their energy and had the best time chasing them around the yard, obviously with his big floppy tongue hanging out the side! Cai was off exploring the yard for the first part of group, but his attention was quickly taken when he heard Percy and Teddy playing in the yard. He ran over and decided that he wanted to join in the fun as well and the three of them had a friendly group wrestle. It was a warm morning, and his infamous tongue was hanging out and he was thankful to find the pool to cool off!
