Max and Sadie were bursting with energy today. They started their morning off with a nice trail walk with Susan, where Max was gung ho to speed ahead and Sadie wanted to take her time to sniff every blade of grass. When it was time for their group outing, Max and Sadie were so excited they couldn't sit still. After waiting patiently they finally relaxed a little and and sat nicely in their kennel. I let them outside, where they both took off doing a big lap of both yards. They slowed things down and did some very thorough sniffing, checking up on all the fresh smells from their week away. Max took a quick dip in the pool while Queen Sadie hopped up into the play structure to watch her brother from above and enjoy the cool breeze. Max did a few more laps around the yard while Sadie came over for some cuddles and lots of kisses. I offered them some cookies before heading inside, but they decided they weren't quite yummy enough for them. Max and Sadie quickly settled into their kennel on their big comfy beds to rest before their next turn.

Bella and Jake zoomed into the yard without any hesitation when their group time rolled around. Today the pair was particularly interested in the newer portion of the yard. They had their noses to the ground for a large amount of their outdoor time. No matter how much I bounced around Jake, or tried to cuddle Bella, they were determined to continue sniffing around. Finally, little Abby came darting around the corner to check them out, which got both Jake and Bella fired up. Jake instantly starting dancing around with Abby, resulting in Bella getting all excited too. Bella was more concerned about her brother goofing around than Abby; regardless she played with the both of them. Bella only played for a little bit, bouncing around, pawing at her brother, and barking at Abby until she decided to break off and continue exploring. Jake on the other hand was absolutely fascinated with Abby and her sparkly, spunky, personality. He couldn’t get enough of her fast games, which included a lot of racing and running as well as some boxing and dancing. After numerous laps around the yard, Bella re-joined the fun. The trio continued to zip and zoom around the yard, enjoying each others company and the wonderful weather until it was time to return indoors.

It’s been a while since I have last seen Tanner, as I’m not usually in on Mondays. I was so thrilled to see his happy self bouncing around in his kennel first thing this morning. He was so excited to get clipped to a leash, and head out for his walk. Tanner enjoyed the company of two new friends, Casey and Finn. The trio kept me very busy along the trail as they all seemed very excited to have one another around and there was a lot of playing involved in our walking. In the yard, Tanner took his time to settle in. He sniffed the entire yard before making his way from dog to dog to say his hellos. When he came across Finnigan, a light went off and his energy came out of nowhere. Tanner began zipping and zooming around with a big smile on his face. As he was running around he stopped at a couple dogs to play bow, inviting them to play. A couple dogs were very interested in Tanner. He had so much fun playing with Finnigan and Bing, running around boxing and wrestling. He continued to play until the whole group joined in. He took this opportunity to break off from the action and meet up with me. As usual Tanner poked his head between my legs asking me to please pet and cuddle him. Without any hesitation I put the camera down so I could give him a really good scratch, pet and cuddle. Tanner was very pleased with this. When I stopped he began howling at me and jumping all over me, asking me to please continue. Tanner and I then spent the remainder of outdoor time hanging out together, supervising the busy games going on around us.

Finn had such a stellar day. He met a new best friend, Bing. Bing is a new boarder, and he couldn’t have met a better match than Finn. The moment Finn got outdoors, he instantly had a bounce in his step, and began zipping and zooming around seeking a buddy. When Bing came along, Finn’s eyes lit up and they were inseparable from there on out. I don’t think I have seen Finn run as fast as he was running today. He had lots of his group mates chasing him around the entire agility yard. Finnigan even looped through the agility tunnel, and around the mini fence. He was so fast on his feet; it was a lot of fun to watch. When Bing finally caught him, Finnigan did his famous stop, drop, and roll. He drew a lot of attention to himself when he did this, which he loved. As he was flailing about on his back, and pawing at the air, all his mates danced around him. Finally he leapt up and began boxing and wrestling with Bing. He led Bing to the pool where the duo cooled down. Finnigan wasn’t afraid to lie down in the water and get nice and wet. Finn kept at these shenanigans for his entire outdoor time. If he wasn’t swimming or running he was wrestling and boxing with his mates. He had such a busy day!

Casey was quite the hot topic in the yard today. Every staff member, and dog, was excited to have him back. Casey was so thrilled to meet so many new faces today, his tail never stopped wagging. In the yard it seems as though every single dog wanted to play with him, even the dogs that are usually more reserved. Casey took every invite and opportunity that he had, and was sure to play with everyone. He was especially fond of Justice, the husky. These two made such a great match for playing. They were both very keen to box; standing tall on their hind legs with their forearms wrapped around open another. Both Casey and Justice liked hopping backwards and darting in circles before returning to the boxing position. Casey didn’t only box with Justice; he also boxed and wrestled with Bing, Domino, and Tanner. It could have been weather with the sun shining, and the pools out, he was sure to take advantage of everything. He loved dipping his paws in the water to cool off, but never stayed in long. He wasn’t too keen on getting wet. Casey continued to play with everyone for his entire group outing. When it was time to return indoors he had a great mid day nap which recharged his batteries enough to have just as much fun in the afternoon.

Domino continues to have an amazing time with us. He is one of the happiest dogs ever. His outgoing personality combined with his fun loving spirit, makes for an absolute joy to have. He is a great member to any playgroup, always contributing to the fun and getting all his friends to goof around. Domino was excited to be out in the agility yard for his whole morning outing. There were so many new smells to uncover that it took him a bit of time to really get playing. He zoomed around with his nose to the ground taking in all the interesting things the grass and rocks had to hide. Once he finally settled in he quickly met up with his husky friends to begin playing around. In the middle of all his games he spotted Casey, and made a beeline for him. Domino had a lot of fun boxing with Casey. The duo was a great pair, batting back and forth and dancing around with one another. It wasn’t long before Justice joined in, and Domino was even more excited. After some team fun, Domino broke off to dip in the pool. He loves the big pool! He had so much fun splashing around with his friends in the cool fresh water. Domino was a big suck for the toys today. We had a lot of fun tossing around a blue saucer. He tried very hard to keep it to himself, which caused a big game of keep away He was in the lead as several of his friends chased him around. The fun never stopped, even when he hopped in the pool and dropped the toy his continued batting around at it under water. Domino couldn’t have had more fun during his group time. When it was time to come in, he brought his toy into his kennel and had a nap with it by his side before returning outdoors for more games.
