Percy and Teddy were quite the playful pair today. I can always count on these two rambunctious daycare pals to get the party started and today they shared their playtime with Golden friend Charly. Round and round Teddy ran circles around both Percy and Charly as they played a fun game of fetch together. They also made sure to make a pit stop at the pool as well to cool off in between throws. Cai and Spencer could hear the commotion from all the way in the other yard and ran over to see what all the commotion was about. Both Cai and Spencer were all tongues when they entered the yard, they were happy to see the pool was filled to the brim and they were ready to get their paws wet! The last two daycare friends to round out this group were Kimi and Hobart. They were sunbathing in the front yard with friends Shelby and Isis. It wasn’t until Tiff joined me out in the yard and encouraged them over for a group huddle. Both Kimi and Hobart ran over to get their fare share of cuddles along with the rest of the daycare gang. Thursdays are always the best days because we get to share our time with our usual daycare guests and they can hardly wait to see one another and have formed some special bonds week after week!

Max and Sadie were up to their usual antics this morning out in the yard. They had just come back from their morning trail walk and were excited to soak up the sun and explore the yard. Lately, they have been enjoying access to both big grassy yards since we’ve made it bigger and they especially love that they get to fight over the play structure. This has taken their game of “King of the Castle” to a whole new level compared to the picnic table! They each took turns perching themselves up on the bench and peeking their heads over the side where they had the perfect view of the yard. Although there was lots of sunbathing, there was also lots of play today. Max and Sadie had a blast running around and wrestling together like their old ways.

Tsavo was ecstatic to meet up with siblings Eddie and Dexter. She remembers how much fun they had together last time they were in and decided to pick up right where they left off. She started running towards Dexter and together they ran a few laps around the yard together. Tsavo’s big ears were perked right up in excitement and had a day of fun surrounded by some of her favourite friends. But of course she had to make time to come over to my side when I called her for some back scratches, the perfect way to spend her day!

Lola and Quinn are such a positive bundle of energy. The pair are full of love and strong desire to run and play. Both Quinn and Lola have lightening built into them. They are speed demons across the yard, whether it is for a ball or simply chasing friends, they are always in the lead, or making their way to the front. Today the irresistible red ball was the highlight of their outdoor time. This duo was sure to find their other fetch-obsessed pal, Ghira, and the twosome quickly became an inseparable threesome. They were darting and dashing all over the yard for the ball. Despite Lola and Ghira’s best efforts, Quinn almost always snagged the ball. Lola is very bold and makes sure to dive right at Quinn even after grasping it, in attempts to get her mouth on the ball too. This sibling duo is adorable. Every time Quinn retrieved the ball his instincts lead him straight to the pool. Not only is Quinn a cheetah, he is also a fish. Quinn was constantly dipping his muzzle in the water, followed by completely laying down. He made numerous attempts to fully submerge himself in the not so deep water, by rolling onto his side. Lola was never too far behind, however, she wasn’t as keen on getting drenched like her bro. Dainty Lola preferred to wade around, after Quinn and friends had evacuated the pool. This gave her more privacy, and less of a chance of getting splashed. Between the cool pool, the fastball and their fun friends, this duo never stopped moving. Lola and Quinn's highlight of the day was definitely their extra attention time. The two of them raced up to the front and were ready to play. Quinn picked up his favorite snake toy and brought it over so that the two of us could play a game of tug. He nearly pulled me right out of my seat because he was so strong. I left him to play with Lola for a little while. I could tell that she was interested in getting a few treats so I had her and Quinn show me their tricks. Lola did an excellent job of sitting, laying down and even giving me a high five. Quinn mastered these tricks as well but he also showed me how he could sit pretty, what a smart pair. Once Quinn went off to play with his next toy, Lola and I snuggled up on a big comfy chair as I gave her a head rub.

Jax is an absolute sweetheart, but that’s not new news. Jax is always able to put a big smile on my face. Whether it is in the morning when I first walk in, when I give him his food, on his walk, or playing in the yard, Jax is constantly full of positive vibes and is always sure to share his smile and wagging tail with myself and friends. Jax loved newcomer, Tassie today. Tassie is a fun loving doodle, whom is full of spunk and pizzaz. Jax followed her around forever, until finally he gained the courage to play bow to her and dart off. They danced around with one another for a while until their dancing turned into boxing, which then turned into wrestling. Tassie was quick up and bolt off, leading to a chase around the yard. Their chase came to an end when the pair found themselves right in the middle of a fast fetch match. Jax was happy to join in. To his surprise he ended up right where the ball landed and gladly swooped it up. He carried it around for a bit until he decided to share with his friends. Jax was then happy to play with a different toy, one on one with me, while his mates continued to race around with the ball. After some toy fun Jax was happy to cuddle into my lap and offer me lots of love. We enjoyed each other’s company until Jax broke off to hang out with his busy friends for the remainder of groups. He even hopped in the pool to cool off, and joined in on the fetch fun. Jax and I had a blast during his extra attention time. I knew he could tell when it was time for it because he had already started wagging his tail in his kennel. The first thing Jax wanted to do was play with his toys. The two of us played a fun game of fetch with his favorite ball. This continued for quite some time until Jax went over to snuggle with Nicki behind the desk. After giving her a few kisses, Jax joined me once more for treats. I got Jax jumping as high as he could for them and he successfully caught them each and every time. It's amazing how high he could jump for them. We ended up in another game of fetch which lasted until the end of his time up front.

Millie was so excited to get outside and see that she had some new friends in her group. After wiggling her way from dog to dog, she settled down by my side asking for some love and affection. As soon as I knelt down to cuddle her she climbed up onto my nap and smothered me with wet kisses. This didn’t last long, as all her group mates insisted on getting in on the action too Luckily I got everyone distracted by a nice ball. Even Millie was keen to race after the toy with her fetch enthused mates. She raced as fast as she could after the ball and her friends, but her little legs couldn’t quite keep up. She wasn’t too bummed out as she noticed the pool was empty. She took the opportunity to hop in and cool off. As her friends joined her, she perched herself up on the edge, life guarding her friends rather than participating in all the splashing around. After some pool time Millie made her way to the tunnel where she la y down and rolled all over. I couldn’t help but laugh at her rolling around inside the runnel. I don’t know what sparked her to do this; most likely getting wet, but it was hilarious watching her wiggle around. She drew a lot of attention to herself and was sure to soak up all the attention she was getting. After some tunnel on the ground, she made her way up on top of the tunnel where once again she played the role of the lifeguard/referee. She loves watching her friends play around from a bird’s eye view. She spent some time up there until she couldn’t resist joining in on some fetch. She darted around with all her friends, and spent some more time in the pool too. Millie was such a happy camper after her busy, fun filled day.
Millie is a busy busy girl, especially during her extra attention. We started off our time together with a game of tug. After she wore my arm out I took a time and, but this didn't stop Millie from having fun. She first started with the blue rubber toy bouncing around the room tossing it around and trying to get me to take a hold of it to play more tug with her. The toy was much too small for both her and I. I tossed her a yellow T-bone chew toy which she enjoyed settling down with for a good chew, although this didn't keep her still long. Soon enough she was racing around the room with a new toy every minute from the toy bin. Silly girl had every toy scattered about the playroom by the time it was time to go back to her kennel.

Maya and Rocky really enjoyed having the entire yard to explore today. I promptly picked Rocky up upon entering the yard, and reminded him that exploring is good! He wasn’t apposed to hanging out in my arms for a bit before I put him down in the far corner of the yard. HE was surprisingly excited to be in a new part of the yard. He got zoomies very briefly, and then began wandering around with his nose deep in the grass. Maya was happy to make her way into the big yard as long as Rocky was out there, of course. She made her wall all around, sniffing and exploring every inch of the new terrain. She loved the play structure, and spent some time under it, on it, and around it. Her new buddy Oscar stayed right with her as she explored. When Maya met up With Rocky, Oscar met Rocky too. Oscar was very fond of Rocky, and tried very hard to get his attention. Oscar bounced all around him, however Rocky wasn’t too interested in participating in the young shenanigans. Maya on the other hang briefly gave Oscar the time of day. She zoomed in quick circle with him before wiggling herself all around him. When she noticed Rocky was gone, she was quick to bolt after him and rest by the door along his side. They enjoyed sun tanning, and hanging out with some quieter friends before returning indoors for a nap.

Oscar has got to be the fluffiest bundle of energy and ball of love ever. He is always zipping and zooming around with a smile on his face and his tail wagging. When he gets the opportunity he is always sure to cuddle up with you and smother you with wet kisses and cuddles. He has added such a fun spirit to the small dog group. Oscar always ensures to say hello to each and every dog outside be fore settling in with his regular buddies, Olive and Findlay. They run and play like mad; it is hard to keep up with their fast games. Oscar adores Findlay with all his heart. He rips around the yard after him at full speed. Findlay is so agile and tries to deek Oscar out by running through the tunnel, over the rocks, and around the picnic table, however Oscar is always sure to stick right on his heels. Today Oscar was very intrigued by our resident dog, Julie. Oscar wasn’t too sure what to think of Julie’s wheelchair. He thought barking at it might help the situation. Julie let him know she was harmless, which led to Oscar play bowing and dancing all around her. Oscar had some fun with Julie before breaking off to cool down in the pool. I was surprised to see him try and lay down today. He quickly hopped up and returned to wading around rather than fully submerging himself. Oscar then continued to race around with his buddies and cuddle with me until it was time to return indoors.

Findlay and Olive are such spitfires. This spunky duo never fails to put a smile on my face and make me laugh. They sure keep one another entertained, as well as keep all their friends busy in the yard. Findlay is a pile of positive energy. He is constantly zipping and zooming around with his tongue out. Olive is half energy, half love. She is always sure to keep and eye on Findlay and participate when she feels the need but the other part of the time she is by my side nuzzling into me or wandering around exploring. In the middle of one of our cuddle sessions, Findlay came barreling in requesting Olive to play with him. Of course she didn’t turn him down and the two set off to run and play. They are very physical with their fun play fighting, wrestling and rolling. It’s hilarious to watch them topple over one another. Olive and Findlay spent a lot of time racing full speed too. After loads of laps around the yard, along side friend Oscar, the trio had to cool off in the pool. Findlay is sure to hop right in while Olive is much more careful. She will put one paw in then back away and return to just grab a sip. Meanwhile, Findlay is splashing around like a kid at a water park. They were so happy to be outdoors for so long on this beautiful sunny day, their tails never stopped wagging.

Sam is such a fun dog. She loves her outdoor time with her best friend, and boyfriend, Justice. She nuzzles up with him when she gets outdoors and says very friendly hellos, which include kissing and bum bumping. After her friendly hello’s she darts off on her own to investigate the whole yard. Sam is easily distracted by just about anything, especially her favourite red ball. We had a lot of fun together tossing it back and forth as well as playing some fast paced fetch. She can jump a mile high to grab the ball, and can race like a cheetah to swoop it up too. Sam’s favourite part of her outdoor time is when the pool starts to fill. She runs around like a maniac while it fills up. Sam will dunk her muzzle in then sprint in circles around the pool as if the water was coming after her. She continues this pattern over and over until she finally leaps right in. She has so much fun splashing around, sending water everywhere, and cooling herself off. She loves when Justice joins her, and always asks him to run around the pool with her too. The duo did have some couple fun, but the ball and the pool mostly occupied Sam today. She had a blast in this wonderful weather.
Sam is such a different dog than the first time she came to stay with us. She is totally comfortable and loves all the extra attention she gets with us. She joined me in the reception toward and had a quieter time than yesterday's action packed fun with Justice. While I filled up a treat ball with liver treats Sam was hopping up and down with excitement. I rolled the hall across the floor and Sam was quickly on it. She nosed it across the room, pawing and play bowing the ball. She was a little unsure if the ball started rolling towards her, worried it might run into her she'd tip toe out of the way and then sneak back up in the ball from behind.
