Max and Sadie were in such an incredible mood when they came in to join us for daycare this morning. Max ran right to the back and waited patiently for his walk while Sadie took her time to greet everyone she passed. As soon as they were both in their kennel, it was time to go for their walk. Max showed off his excitement as he pranced around his kennel, waiting for Lauren to put his leash on. Once the two of them got outside, Sadie sped to the end of her leash with Max following closely behind. Since they have been gone for a little bit, there were so many new scents to pick up on. Between the two of them, I think they had one of their noses following a scent at all times. After their walk they were still quite full of energy. Lucky for them their next playgroup came shortly after and boy were they ever excited. They both sped out of their kennel with the same enthusiasm as before and off they went. Max tore through the yard with Sadie hot on his heels. The two of them were soon involved in a very intense game of tag followed by a play tackle which led them all over the yard. Eventually they parted ways as Max checked out the kiddy pool. At first he wasn't so sure if he wanted to hop in so I got him to join me for a few tricks. Max showed off his moves as he went leaping over the agility jump. After a few more jumps he decided he was in fact ready to dip his feet into the pool. Sadie kept herself busy as well by checking out her favorite picnic table. She hopped right up into her usual spot and started sniffing away. I headed over to see Sadie for the rest of her group time.
Coco and Timbits had lots of energy today, and were so excited to get out in the yard this morning! Timbits sprinted around with everyone else while Coco took a more relaxed approach to starting the day and strolled over to the fence and spent some time sniffing around. They had a great time during their walk as well. They were very content walking around the field as a beautiful breeze ruffled the grass and cooled us down in the sun. This afternoon, Timbits was once again very excited to play with everyone in the yard, and joined Mikka, Cooper and Grace in a big game of chase. Coco decided to come over and relax on top of the picnic table with me where he could get a good vantage point of all the excitement happening in the yard. Coco then went over to sniff around the fence again and enjoy some sun while Timbits ran over in a big flurry of activity looking for a scratch behind the ear. Timbits then wrestled around in the grass with Mikka for a while before getting tired and running back inside to his kennel. Coco was close behind and got a big cuddle before heading back inside.
Grace had a wonderful time today! This morning, she headed out on her walk with Charly, the Golden Retriever, and Bella, the German Shepered. They had a great time together, and were running all over the place. Grace and Charly had a blast jumping around and playing together and were checking out all the different smells in the grass. During play time outside, Grace was very happy to join in on a big game of tag with Mikka, the puppy, and Cooper. They all tore around the yard together at top speed and then wrestled around in the grass. Then, she came over to say hi and get a scratch behind the ear. She was quickly joined by Timbits, the Beagle, and they sat by the picnic table with me for a while getting some cuddles. Before I knew it, she was off sprinting around the yard with Mikka and Cooper again. Grace had so much fun, and loved playing with all her friends!
Mikka was a little ball of energy today! She was very excited to head out on her walk with her friends Barney and Cooper. During the walk she was all over the place, checking out every new sound and smell in the field. This afternoon, she raced outside for play time, and was the first one out there. As soon as she hit the grass, she was sprinting around the yard at top speed with Cooper right behind her. They tumbled around in the grass together and were joined by Grace in a big wrestling match. Mikka was also very interested in playing with Timbits, the Beagle, and they ended up having a big game of chase around the yard. There have been lots of little frogs out in the grass recently, and Mikka found one hopping around the fence. She was very curious but it hopped through the fence before she was able to get to close. She was in a very adventurous mood today and was jumping around on evrything in the yard. She would crawl under the picnic table and then hop on top so she could check out all the action that was happening in the yard. She also rolled around under the playstructure with her friend Grace. She had a blast today, and could have played outside with all the other dogs forever!
Barney had so much fun today, and loved making lots of new friends! This morning he headed out on a walk with the very excited Mikka and Cooper, and enjoyed tagging along as they tumbled around in the grass. During his extra attention time, he absolutely loved playing with all the toys up front and saying hello to everyone that came by. We had a big energetic game of tug of war, he then came and sat down while he got a long scratch behind the ear. During out outdoor playgroup he had lots of fun exploring the yard and playing with everyone. he is such a friendly guy, and would run over to give lots of kisses and get a little cuddle every once and a while before taking off again. The puppy, Mikka, decided to follow him around the yard for a while and roll around in front of him. Barney was very nice and chased after her for a little while before settling back down and goind to sniff around the fence with his Beagle friend, Coco. He was so lovely to have in the group, and whenever I looked over I could see his big smile and he contently mingled with all the other dogs. Barney was super excited for his extra attention time this afternoon. He wasn't very sure what was going on at first but as soon as he saw all the toys up front, Barney went nuts! He started prancing around the reception with a different toy in his mouth every time he did a round. His favorite toy was a purple turtle and he ended up laying down to chew on it for a little while. Next up was treats. Barney stared up at me with the cutest puppy dog eyes as he was waiting for his treat. He showed off his ability to sit and lay down but was a bit too focused on the treats in my hand. We ended his extra attention time with snuggles on one of big comfy chairs.
