When it was time for George and Titan's extra attention time we all made our way up to the front playroom. The two of them were quite excited especially since I had treats. I stuffed a couple kongs full and they each got one. George and Titan spent the next while batting the toys around trying to get all the treats out. Once all the treats were gone George made his way over to me for some pets and attention. When he went wondering off to see if there was anymore treats anywhere, Titan came over to see about getting some pets of his own.
Gunnar was pretty excited for it to be group time. He went trotting out the door and immediately set out to see what the other dogs were up to. Gunnar spent some checking something out with Percy before he went trotting off to check on what Titan was looking at in the grass. He then decided to do another lap of the main yard. As Gunnar was making his way back to the far yard, he decided to come and have a visit with me and get some pets and attention. Percy went racing past and Gunnar quickly decided to go running after him. When Percy stopped to sniff something, Gunnar took a moment to go check on George. When Percy was done what he was doing Gunnar was there and ready to play. It didn't take long for the two of them to start wrestling and racing around the yard. At one point Percy found a ball and Gunnar had a great time chasing after him for it. They took a break from running and were soon back to wrestling. Their antics drew the attention of a couple of the other dogs, though neither stayed long or joined in the fun. Eventually they needed a break so Gunnar came over to visit with Titan and me. When Titan went off to explore some more Gunnar went and tagged along. Not too long after Gunnar was back to Percy and the antics started once more.
To start his day off, Finnigan went for a nice relaxing walk with his best friend Eric. On their walk, Finn and Eric spent some time wandering around in the front field, and sniffing around in the trees. Eric took some time to have a little run with Finn to mix things up, which Fin really seemed to enjoy. When they got back to his kennel, Finnigan curled up on his blankets and had a nap. When it was time to go out for his group, Finnigan was so excited to get back out in the fresh air. When we got outside, Fin did a few laps of the yard, before finding a rope toy to play around with. As he carried his toy around the yard, Fin stopped by the agility tunnel, dropped his toy and ran along with his pals through the tunnel. After chasing his pals around for quite some time, Finnigan went back around the yard in search for his favourite rope toy. When he found it he went over to the grass, lay down and chewed on the rope until it was time to go back inside.
Sadie is such a sweet and loving pup. For her walk this morning, Sadie and I spent some walking around the front of the building in the field. When we first got outside, Sadie pulled me over to the puppy pen to sniff around the toys in there before we made our way to the field. While on Sadie's walk as we went through the field she took some time to splash around in the defrosting water puddles well I walked along beside her. After splashing through the puddles Sadie decided it was time to go back inside for a rest. For her group time this afternoon Sadie and I had so much fun walking through the field; even on restricted activity she knows how to enjoy herself. As we walked along side-by-side Sadie let out a little bark that she saw a squirrel running through the field, but after that we spent some time cuddling before I took her back inside.
Daisy
Daisy had the whole cat room to herself today and she seemed to really enjoy it. When I went in to say hello, she was happily snoozing in the box on the cat tree. I coaxed her out and she lazily stretched and sauntered over to join me. She enjoyed lots of chin rubs and head pets and then jumped back onto the cat tree on her way over to the window. I followed her over there and rubbed her head some more, which elicited a lovely purr from the beautiful ginger cat. She wasn't at all interested in being picked up and cuddled, but cuddles on her own terms were very much welcomed.
