Max and Sadie had the most fun I have seen them have in a
while today. I was very surprised to see all the fun start because of a nice
red rubber ball. This ball was the highlight of their day no doubt. Max and
Sadie were so well behaved for me I order to get the ball. They sat, lay down,
and waited so patiently for me to give them the OK to go after it. Max was the
main prize keeper today, leading Sadie to be hot on his heels the entire time
they were outside. They ran around the yard so fast, Sadie on the hunt of the
ball while Max was just happy to run around. Max decided he wanted to do some
more playing rather than chasing so he stopped and pounced on Sadie offering
her the ball. He changed his mind mid way leading to an intense game of tug. It
was hard for the pair to keep a good grip on this ball, but they managed. They kept
at these games for ages, with constant wagging tails and smiles. The duo had me
smiling for our entire outdoor time too, as it is very nice watching them have
so much fun!
Coco and Timbits were beyond intrigued by all the fresh snow
in the small dog yard. The fresh fall had these hound’s noses going very strong
throughout their entire time outdoors. After some serious sniffing and
exploring, Coco and Timbits met up with their other group mates for some laps
around the yard. Timbits was very interested in all his new group mates and
made sure to chase after each and every one of them individually. All his new
friends were very pleased to have his attention, but Coco wasn’t to sure about
him giving his time to other friends. Coco was quick to maul her brother and
let him know that they were supposed to be playing. Timbits was happy to
wrestle around with his sister before she took off to do some of her own
investigating. At this point, Timbits decided he wanted to play ball. Timbits
had to compete with playmate Max for the great red rubber ball. He didn’t have
a hard time winning the ball and loved dashing around with Max. They continued
these games until once again Coco insisted on joining in and taking over her
brother. They had lots of fun until it was time to head indoors, where they happily
curled up on their cot for a snooze.
Two of our most energetic daycare pups
joined us bright and early this morning ready to make the most of their playful
day ahead. Their morning trail walks weren’t quite enough to burn off that
puppy energy so luckily for them they found one another immediately out in the
yard and got right down to wrestling. Finnigan remembered that silly face of
Polly’s and these two black pups tumbled across the bright white snow with
little Vega and silly Muggins not far behind. Polly is one of those dogs that
immediately attracts the attention of the others. She has such a spirited
energy and gives off good vibes whenever she is around. Finnigan is very
similar in nature and together the two of them got everyone else playing just
as much, because who could resist! While Finn took a break from wrestling with
Polly to search out some toys, Polly took the opportunity to play with Jake,
our big and gentle Hound rescue! The moment these two locked eyes, they were
completely inseparable and even Buck, Jake's brother couldn’t resist chasing
Polly around the yard. Jake loved Polly so much that if the others tried to
come over and steal her attention away, he would hover over her as if he was
protecting her, Polly loved the attention from these two big brothers! Finnigan
was busy trying to pull roots from the side grass with the mischievous
redheaded Huskies. I was finally able to scoot them all away but Finn must have
kept a root in his mouth and he took a seat in the snow and guarded that root
with his life much like he does with the ball which he eventually found later! Polly
and Finn took turns running around the yard with the red ball in their mouths
while the rest of the pack tried to keep up with them, good luck!
I didn’t think I could have a more playful
and energetic group than one that involves Finnigan and Polly, but I was
clearly wrong when Boris and Tasha met up with fellow Husky pals, Justice and
Koda this morning. It had been some time since Boris and Tasha have seen Koda
and boy were they excited to play and wasted no time kicking up snow behind
them in a raging chase across the yard. The wrestling and chasing started with
the three confident and playful boys Justice. Boris and Koda. The three of them
needed some boy time so they could rough house with one another and have a good
old Husky brawl! It wasn’t long before Husky ladies Kyah and Tasha joined in,
they just couldn’t resist a good wrestle with Koda and trust me they were
playing just as rough as the boys and loved every minute of it! Back and forth
they would chase one another across the yard and in and out of the agility
tunnel, the most popular Husky hangout spot. Even our golden girls Charly and
Merida wanted to join in on the fun and loved being a part of this playful
Husky pack. Boris and Tasha played endlessly all morning long; they were
definitely the most popular two in the yard and had everyone else trying to
keep up with them. The next time I saw these two silly pups was sprawled out in
their kennel for some much needed rest before it was time to visit Koda and
friends out in the yard again.
