Saturday October 29th 2016

Bauer was very excited time for his extra attention this morning. When I went to let out of his kennel he hopped right up and was ready to start playing. Bauer raced down the hallway and into the front reception area. This extra attention was special because he got to play with so many people. As soon as he got up to the front, Bauer immediately greeted everyone in sight. He went up and gave everyone a huge kiss before he started playing around with a few toys. Bauer had a great time playing with each of the soft toys that we had up here. He was also having fun throwing them up in the air and catching them.We then did a bit of fun training. Bauer did an excellent job with his sits and lay downs. He especially liked getting the treats afterwards. For quite some time after that, Bauer, Alyssa and I all cuddled while we brushed him. I could just tell how much he loved it and every time we'd stop he'd roll further onto his back so we'd keep brushing his belly.

It is such a pleasure to spend time with Bauer. For his group today, he spent most of his time walking around and sniffing. When it was time to go out, he ran right out of his kennel and down the hallway, plowing through his friends to make sure that he was the first one out the door. As soon as he got outside he did a few laps around the yard bouncing around as he went, but he soon stopped to sit back and watch his pals play around. After watching everyone play, Bauer eventually decided to spend some time cuddling with me, while I scratched back. Before we headed back inside, Bauer ran around the yard a bit more, sniffing as he went, until he was ready to come in. 

Chloe started her day off with a nice walk on the trail, with her good friend Chloe S! These two gals have become such good friends while they have been with us. On their walk, Chloe wandered beside me, and stopped a few times to sniff a pile of leaves but always came right back to my side. When she got back inside, she was happy to snuggle up into her bed and take a quick little nap before heading back outside for her group time. When it was time to go back out, she was so excited that she couldn't stop wiggling her bum. As soon as she got out the door, she ran around the yard and stopped at the tunnel to investigate for a few moments. Once her curiosity had been filled, she wandered off to find her rope toy in the yard. It took a while, but she eventually found it in the grassy spot of the agility yard and carried it over to me. She didn't want to fetch, but instead wanted to sit beside me and enjoy some petting before she got up and ran around with her toy for a bit longer. A little while later it was time to head inside and Chloe was the first one at the door, reading to run right down the hallway and back into her little bed.

Lola had a terrific day at daycare! She got to spend her day in the staff room getting lots of love and kisses from our staff. She started her day off with a nice walk along the trail with her new friend Justice, accompanied by Tiffani. As Lola walked along, she stuck by Tiffani's side the whole time, but she did stop a few times to sniff along the grass and investigate a bush as they passed it. When she got back from her walk, she went back into the staff room and spent some time lounging on the big round bed. When it was time to go out for her group, Lola was so excited! When she got outside, she greeted all her new pals with a quick sniff before she decided to follow me around the yard. As we made our way around the yard, Lola saw her new friend Kenzie and the two of them played a good game of chase around the yard for a little while, but then returned to my side for some more cuddles. While the rest of the group played and sniffed around, Lola and I sat together on the picnic table before it was time to go back inside.
