Allie loves having the cat room all to herself. This morning I found her sitting in the window watching everyone arrive in the parking lot. She must have found a good cat toy to destroy last night as there was red shiny string all over the floor. She started chatting away when she heard me come in and ran over to the cat tree to hop up on the perch. She was very cuddly. asking for some pets while head butting me. She hung out on the tree while I cleaned up her condo and went to get her breakfast. When I came back in, she raced over to the chair and hopped up on it. We seem to have an agreement that if she hops up on the chair I will lift her up into her condo to eat.

Maya and Makayla were pretty excited to be back. They made their way out to the yard to spend some time with Tycho. After saying hi to him Maya and Makayla headed off to do some exploring to see what had changed or hadn’t changed. It wasn’t long before Makayla was back by Tycho wanting to play. She play bowed and waited to see what he’d do. Mayaklya then started to bounce around him. Maya wondering what her sister was up to made her way over to keep on an eye on her. Makayla and Tycho started wrestling and having a great time. Maya saw them having fun and went off to continue her explorations. Makayla and Tycho took a break from playing and resumed their own explorations. Maya made her way over to me for a bit of a cuddle. She then noticed Makayla and Tycho starting to play again. Maya went running over and jumped on her sister and successfully stealing her away from Tycho.
Bella decided to start her morning with some exploring. After going around the main yard quite thoroughly she headed out with the rest of the group to start exploring in the far yard. Bella spent some time hanging out with Isis while she was exploring. She then noticed Duke giving Oakley a very thorough once over. Curious, Bella headed over to see what was going on. With that done, she headed off to check out something by the fence. As a group we ended up making our way back to the main yard. Bella went off to see if there was anything she had missed the first time she went around. Pretty soon Bella made her way over to me for some attention. Nearby Duke and Sky started playing. This got Bella all revved up and she started to talk at me. When Duke and Sky went tearing off to run around the far yard Bella was quick to tag along.
Oakley made her way out into the yard and was about to head off and do some exploring when she stopped and came back. She came up to me and asked for a quick pet. With that out of the way Oakley went off once more to see what was going on in the yard. The group finished with the main yard and headed out to the far yard. Oakley came over for another visit with me before joining the others. Once she had joined the others Oakley quickly found herself being thoroughly looked over by Duke. He seemed pretty infatuated and spent quite some time checking her all over. Eventually Oakley had enough and came and plopped herself down next to me for more love. We ended up making our way back to the main yard. Oakley went around seeing what the other dogs were up to.
Duke is getting more comfortable every day. Today he got some new friends and he was quite happy about that. Duke ran out to say hi to the others then put his nose to the ground and was off on the hunt. He went all around the yard following whatever amazing scent had his attention. The scent eventually led out to the far yard where he met up with the others. When Oakley joined them Duke became infatuated. He checked her over thoroughly and then proceeded to follow her around. After a little while Duke put his nose back to he ground and set off on another adventure. During his travels he met up with Isis and Sky both asked him to play. Duke took a bit more of a liking to Sky and soon they were off tearing around the far yard. It wasn’t long before they were also joined by Isis and Bella.
Shyla and Maverick went trotting out to the agility yard and immediately set out to see what was going on around the yard. Finnigan and Clifford playing quickly caught Maverick’s attention. He went over to see what was going on and maybe to see about joining in. Shyla was all about checking out her own thing, but when she spotted Ranger and Lyla checking out a section of grass, she had to make her way over to check it out herself. When that was done she checked on a couple others in the group before getting back to her own exploring. Maverick left Finnigan to resume his own explorations. He was quite interested in all the rocks next to the fence, but only in the part of the yard that bordered the extra grassy section. While Shyla was going around the yard she met up with me. Pretty soon she was play bowing and spinning around wanting to play. I was more than happy to play with her and we had a great time. Eventually Shyla needed a break so she went to go and joined Maverick. When she didn’t find the rocks overly interesting she went to check out the hole. Shyla then spotted me near by and wanted to play some more. She went tearing off around me being a big goof. Maverick came over to lean against my legs and asked for some attention, too. Shyla left us and went back to exploring. When Maverick was happy with the amount of pets he headed off to check out the pool. Finding it empty he went trotting off to watch Finnigan play with Lyla. A little while later Maverick and Shyla met up to make their way over to the far fence and see if they could see what was going on beyond it.
Molly and Finnigan started their mornings out a little differently. Molly was all about finding herself a toy and set off to do just that. Finnigan went charging out into the yard and immediately looked for some one to play with. Molly didn’t have much luck on finding a toy until I showed her one hidden in the grass. She was quite excited and more than happy to chase after it when I threw it. Finnigan set his sights on Clifford. He went charging over eager to play. They had some fun wrestling when Finnigan spotted Molly and her toy. When Molly brought the toy over for me to throw it again, Finnigan was there hoping to steal it away. I eventually convinced him to let go and the game of fetch began. Molly got to the toy first and went trotting off with it while Finnigan tagged along waiting for a chance to steal the toy away. His chance eventually came and he was quite thrilled. Finnigan snatched up the toy and went bouncing off with it to the long grass. I got the toy from him and we started another game of fetch with Molly. Once again Molly got to it first. Finnigan didn’t seem to mind this time as his focus was now on exploring in the grass. That only kept his focus for so long. Finnigan was soon found himself with the toy while Molly chased after him trying to steal it back. After running around for a while, Molly got the toy back so Finnigan went off to see about playing with Lyla. It didn’t take long for the two of them to start wrestling and having a great time. Molly happy to be reunited with her toy brought it over so we could have another game of fetch. After a couple toss Molly decided it was time to lie down and have a little chew on the toy.
Ranger was all about the exploring. As soon as he got out to the agility yard his nose was to the ground. Ranger was very thorough in his explorations. He didn’t move on from a spot until he had made sure he hadn’t missed anything. As Ranger went around the yard he would pause to see what the other dogs were up to. Eventually he made his way over to the pool. When he discovered that it was still empty, he kept on walking along right past it. Ranger spotted some of the others exploring in the tall grass by the building. Wondering what everyone was looking at he headed over to check it out himself. Once his curiosity was satisfied Ranger headed back out to tour the yard some more.
Kaos and Shenzi were both ecstatic to go outside this morning for their group. They were bouncing around in their kennel and once I opened the kennel door they swung out and raced down the hall to join their friends outside. Kaos was ready to play right away and ran around at first to say hi to all of the dogs. She was so excited to see them and jumped up on everybody’s backs just to express how happy she was. Shenzi wasn’t as playful at the start but she was still pretty energetic. She was running around on her own and stopped to sniff some of the grass, she then ran up to me as she wiggled her body for some cuddles. Once Kaos got some of the dogs playing and was playing a rough game of tag Shenzi saw them and decided to join right in. She and Kaos ran around the yard so many times while chasing the other dogs through the agility tunnel and around in a circle again, Shenzi didn’t want to go through the agility tunnel though so whenever a dog would run through she would poke her head in it then run to the other side where the other dogs was running out of. Kaos on the other hand loved the agility tunnel and hopped up on top of it while I was sitting on it.
Zak is such a happy boy. I’ve never seen him in a bad mood and he’s always up to play in the yard with all of the other dogs. He tries to get everyone to play and even if the dog isn’t that playful he will still run up to it and try to get the dog involved. Today Zak started to run around with Kyah at first, he was very interested in her and ran to her as soon as he got outside so he could sniff her and see if she was interested, then once she started to hop up onto his back he knew that she was. He jumped back and play bowed to her then once she ran off he proceeded to chase her around the yard, some of the others joined in right away and started a huge game of tag. All of the dogs loved to chase Zak and the was the center of attention during their whole group, even once all of the other dogs got worn out he was still hyper as ever and wanted to continue playing.
Kai trotted out into the agility yard today and stood at the door and waited for me as I came outside. She followed me all the way to the far side of the yard and that’s when she wandered off and started to sniff some of the grass. She stayed around the two small buildings on her own, when she was finished she trotted over to the middle of the yard to say hi to one of the dogs before she kept walking, that’s when she came across a hole in the dirt and began to check it out. She only sniffed it for a bit before she decided that she wanted to dig it deeper so she kept to herself mostly the entire time she was outside so she could do that.
Teddy and Kizmet were all snuggled up together on their beds when I walked passed their kennels today as I was letting them outside. Teddie hopped up right away when I was letting them outside since he couldn’t wait to see all of his friends in the yard. Kizmet woke up and looked around for a second before realizing it was his turn to head out into the yard. During their groups outside, Teddie walked all the way to the far part of the yard where all the tall grass is right away. He heard people on the other side of it and was very intrigued by it, he stood there for so long until I finally called him back over to me so I could see him. It took him a while to look up and pay attention but once he saw me he ran over with his little tongue sticking out of his mouth. Meanwhile, Kizmet stayed on his own too and wandered around the whole yard during his time outside, he watched the other dogs as they passed him or played with each other. After he got tired of walking he trotted over to the door and layed down to relax in the sun, he opened all four legs very wide as I pet his tummy.
George was so excited to go out for his walk this morning, as I walked over to his kennel he was standing up by the door and started to howl at me when he saw the leash in my hand. When we got outside he wandered from the grass and then to the driveway and back to the grass, he had no idea where he was going but had the biggest smile across his face the whole time. During groups Titan was in good spirits as well. He trotted around the yard and stopped to say hi to all of the dogs. I couldn’t tell if he wanted them to play with the others a lot as he was bouncing around but never tried to get anyone to chase him. I called him over to me and he walked over all the way from the other side of the yard to come and get some cuddles. He gave me a couple small kisses then trotted off to go and see George. George was over in the tall grass exploring when Titan walked over and joined him. They kept their noses touching the floor as thy smelt all of the scents that were coming out of the ground.
Merlin had a nice day with his small group of friends. He wiggled around as he said hello to me and Lola, Pearl and Julie. When he first walked out the door though, Merlin was playful as ever, he started to run to the very far end of the yard and did laps around the agility tunnel as the others started to follow behind him slowly. He was bouncing around on his own as I walked up to him and tried to get him to play with me. I grabbed a rope toy off of the grass and waved it in front of his face to get his attention. Merlin got so excited that he started to jump up on my legs to get the toy, but once I threw it he watched it as it fell across the yard and never went after it. Instead, the rest of his time outside he spent it with the other more quiet dogs as he wandered around and explored, he even hopped up on top of the picnic table when I was sitting on it to join me for some cuddles.
