Groups

Lilo is such a social little butterfly. As soon as she stepped foot out the door she was off running around seeing what everyone was doing and saying hi. Lilo then spotted me and came bouncing over for a quick pet. She didn't stick around long and was soon off asking Lyla to play. After bouncing around with Lyla for a while, Lilo ran off to see about playing with Stella. They had some fun bouncing around when Twister came running over to join them. Lilo left Twister and Stella to have fun and went to see what Pedro was up to. When she was done with him, Lilo went to see how Maggie was doing. Lilo's attention was then grabbed by Twister as he started spinning around. She went racing over to see about playing. It wasn't long before they were having a great time.

Twister was pretty excited to be heading outside. He took off racing around the yard then realized there were other dogs. Twister made his way back so he could say his hellos. That done he went running off to do some exploring. Twister was distracted from his exploring by Lilo and Stella who were playing nearby. He ditched his explorations and went to see about maybe playing with Stella. Twister didn't play for very long and was soon back to checking out more of the yard. Pretty soon he was hit with the need to spin around. This caught Lilo's eye and soon they were having a blast together.

Shyla and Maverick like to start group time with some exploring. After doing a tour of the yard and taking in the scents on the air, Maverick came trotting over to me wanting lots of love and attention. Shyla spotted this and came over to see what was going on. Not one for pets, she just hung out nearby. Maverick left me to continue his explorations so Shyla headed of to do her own. She spotted Poppy exploring in the rocks by the fence. Curious, Shyla headed over to check it out. That done she made her way back over to me. Shyla promptly play bowed and went racing off around me. Maverick was also apparently done with exploring. He had spotted Clifford in the pool and decided that that's where he'd rather like to be. Maverick and Clifford then hopped out of the pool and contemplated playing. In the end they checked each other over thoroughly then Maverick hopped back in the pool. Shyla needing a break from playing went back to trotting around checking things out.

Molly found herself a Frisbee not even a minute after we got outside. She was quick to go trotting off all over the yard. I'm not really sure what she was trying to do as she didn't go near any of the other dogs.  Molly eventually decided that it might be more fun if I was throwing it for her. We soon had quite the nice game of fetch going on. I ended up accidentally getting the Frisbee in the pool. Molly was undaunted and hopped right in. It took her a little while but she was determined to get the toy herself and was successful. Needing a break afterwards Molly settled down to have a nice gnaw on the Frisbee. She was soon back on her feet and wanting to play. This time after I threw the Frisbee she ended up having a game of keep-away with Clifford.

Poppy was all about the exploring. She went trotting out to the agility yard where she checked on what the others were up to. Poppy's attention was soon caught by the plant life growing from between the rocks. She made sure to thoroughly check it out before making her way further into the yard. Poppy trotted around the yard debating on what to do. She eventually made her way over to the rocks next to the pool. The plants growing from those crevices were apparently extra appetizing. Poppy was content to hang out there and sample as much as she could. She was joined by Shyla at one point. Eventually Poppy had had enough and went to see what the others were up to while also stopping to check out anything that caught her interest. After touring around for a little while longer Poppy headed over to me for some pets. Molly brought over a toy and Poppy thought about chasing after it, but in the end decided to make her way to the pool. It took a little coaxing, but soon Poppy was hopping in.

Max and Sadie and tearing out into the yard ready to play. They met up with Boris and Tasha in the far yard. Max and Boris split off to race around together. Sadie let the boys have their fun and went to do some exploring in the grass. Max and Boris had a blast racing around, but soon needed a breather. They split up and went to do some exploring. Max meandered around until he met up with Sadie. Sadie was checking out a particularly interesting section of grass and the two of them spent quite some time investigating. Boris made his way over to check it out as well. After a little more exploring Max and Boris were off racing once more. Their fun was interrupted by Tasha who rather wanted to play with Max. She pounced on him and soon they were having fun wrestling. While he was having fun, Max still wanted to be running around. He took off racing with Boris. Sadie didn't want to miss out on the fun and went running over to see about joining in. She ran around with the others for a little while before she went back to exploring. Max continued to race around with Boris. Sadie spotted Tasha looking at something in the grass. Not wanting to miss out on anything interesting she went to join Tasha. They then went around exploring together. Tasha then left to go and relax in the shade. Sadie quickly decided that was a good idea and tagged along. Max needing a break from running in the sun trotted behind the girls.

Boris and Tasha were so excited to be going outside. They went racing down the halls and out the door. Tasha and Boris then went bouncing around the yard seeing what was going on. Since they were the first out the door, it wasn't much at the moment. They made their way out to the far yard where Tasha and Boris got down to exploring in the grass. It wasn't long before they were joined by Max and Sadie. Everyone gathered together to say hi. Tasha and Sadie then headed off to do some exploring and Boris and Max went tearing around the yard. The boys didn't end up running around for too long. Soon they needed a break and went off to do their own exploring. Boris then spotted Max and Sadie with their heads together checking out something. Curious, he made his way over to check it out. After a little more exploring Boris and Max were off racing once more. Tasha saw this and went bouncing over to stand in their way. She then proceeded to jump on Max and try to get him to play with her. They bounced around and had fun while Boris stood waiting for the running to start again. Boris soon got his wish when Max took off racing. Tasha thought about chasing after him, but decided against it.When their running turned into wrestling, Tasha headed over to see about joining in the fun. It didn't last long and soon Boris and Max were racing again. Boris wanting to make it more interesting and took a flying leap over the agility jump before racing through the tunnel. Tasha let them have their fun and went back to exploring. Sadie joined her and they enjoyed going around together. Eventually Tasha decided to retreat to the shady portion of the yard to relax. It wasn't long before the rest of the group made their way over to join Tasha.

Maya and Makayla took a break from their breakfast this morning to come out for their walk with me along the trail. Maya stuck beside me the entire time as she sniffed along the grass while Makayla was walking off leash ahead of us. Not too long into the walk Makayla started getting excited and began to run along the trail. Maya and I had to run after her to catch up and she made it all the way to the front door then started to explore around the grass in the front. Outside they were both very calm; they split up right away and started to explore the main yard. Maya walked around and explored the grass while Makayla wandered around the outdoor kennels. She peeked her head in one and stood there as she was deciding whether or not she wanted to go in. I called her over to me along with Maya as I sat on the ground and cuddled them. Maya was all about the face rubs while Makayla kept turning around because she wanted me to pet her bum.

Finnigan was so energetic as soon as he stepped foot out the door this morning. He ran ahead of all the dogs straight into the further yard and started to sniff along the grass until he came across his favorite rope toy. It's so big and whenever he carries it in his mouth he drags it along the ground. Today he picked it up right away and began to run around with it and get everyone else in a mood to match his own - playful. Some of the dogs joined in to chase him right away and started a game of tag, I tried to run up to him to grab the toy so I could throw it but he was being so slick and ran away every time I came close. Finally when he was sniffing in the agility tunnel I grabbed the rope toy and he turned around immediately to try and get it from me. I was waving it in the air to get all of the dogs' attention as Duke saw from the other side of the yard and trotted over. He's so silly and loves to talk, half the time he's outside he howls to the sky just for fun. When I threw the toy Finnigan ran after it and Duke followed after him. Of course Finnigan caught the toy first but Duke wasn't interested in that and he just wanted to play with Finnigan. They started to wrestle almost immediately after and they forgot all about the toy. These two ran around in the grass and jumped on top of each other for so long that Duke finally had to get away to take a break. He hung out in the shade on top of the picnic table while Finnigan ran underneath the play structure and laid down in a hole that was dug by another dog.

Higgins was very calm when he first went outside with his group this morning. No one was in a playful mood at first and mostly kept to themselves. Higgins wandered out on his own to the further yard and began to sniff along the rocks by the fence. The door was open to go into the main yard but when he walked up to it he peeked his head in then backed away and stayed in the same yard. He continued to walk around the tall grass as he hopped through it and came to meet me when I was sitting on one of the big rocks outside. He sniffed around the rock for a moment before jumping up and sitting right beside me. He sat so pretty as the wind blew threw his fur and another dog jumped up to give him some company. When he jumped back down, he ran over to where all the dogs were in the gravel and got a burst of energy. He started to jump up on one of the dogs and try to get them to play with him. They ran around in circles for a moment before the other dog got tired and it was time to go back inside.

Kai was being such a sweet girl out in the yard! She wandered out to the far end of the agility yard when she first came outside and started to sniff around the buildings. When she saw me walk into the yard and all of the dogs ran up to greet me, she got excited and wanted to join in as well so she ran over with a big smile on her face as she held her head down into my lap for me to pet it. After I pet her she walked over to the tall grass and started to roll around in it. Besides getting pets and cuddles, that's her favorite thing to do whenever she's around tall grass; even on her walk she makes sure to stop about 3 or 4 times just so she can roll in it. After that she wandered around a little bit more and said hi to some of the dogs when she found a little piece of a bone on the ground. She picked it up and found a nice comfy spot on the ground in the sun to chew on it. It didn't take long before George sniffed it from across the yard and ran over to snatch it from her though. Not that Kai minded - she's such an easy going girl - she got up and started to explore for another hidden treat!

George and Titan had a very nice time while they were outside with their group today, Titan had lots of energy and started to run around the yard as soon as he got outside. He was being very social and kept on running around the agility yard then going up to a dog to say hi and take a break then continue on running again. He kept on stopping to say hi to me as well. When I was sitting on a rock he came over about 3 times just to see me and get some cuddles; he was especially motivated when he saw me with other dogs and rushed right over to claim my hands for petting. After he got all his cuddles he walked over to the pool and even though it was a little chilly today he hopped right in after a little while of contemplating and stood in it for a little while as George saw and ran over to see what he was up to, George walked up and he dipped his paw in but it seemed way to cold for his liking and he jumped back out of the water. George started to wander around more and after he was done sniffing through all of the tall grass in the agility yard he walked over to see me, I pet him as he gave me lots of kisses and that's when he saw Kai with her bone laying next to us. He wanted it so badly that he just walked right up and grabbed it off of the ground as she was chewing on it then went off to find a place of his own to relax with his treat.

Teddy and Kizmet had a very relaxing time while they were outside today. Teddy went off as soon as they got outside and began to socialize with all of the dogs. He walked up to a few of them and sniffed them from top to bottom then stayed by their side as he went off to start exploring along the rocks by the fence. Kizmet stayed on his own at first but came up to me a few times to give me lots of kisses. If I was kneeling down on the ground when I pet him he would jump up and crawl over me to give me even more kisses! After a long time of exploring for both of them, Kizmet walked over to the pool as he saw one of the other dogs in it and started to take a sip of water, Teddy saw and trotted over to him slowly. Teddy was so excited about the pool though and taking a sip of water wasn't enough for him! He jumped right in, got soaking wet as he laid down right in the water and started to roll around in it. He stood up and was dripping wet as Kizmet ran by to see him. When he hopped out I backed away quickly as he shook all of the water off of him.
