Athena and Aphrodite had a wonderful afternoon, sniffing around in the snow and keeping each other company as they went frolicking around the yard. They developed some pretty snow beards and then decided to join the other dogs in the second yard! Along the way Athena decided to stop in on one of the outdoor kennels, checked it out and then skipped along, following her sister. Athena took some time to explore the play castle before switching sniffing locations. Aphrodite is a huge suck and loves to come over to me to be pet whenever she can spare a minute. She loves to lean herself against me and really likes to make sure she gets a good back scratch before moving on to her next task. Athena loves to come over to check in on me but loves to give lots of kisses. It leaves me a bit slobbery but its the best kind of puppy love!
Sadie and I explored the yard together this afternoon. She got to sniff everything she wanted without the other dogs getting to the good smells before her! We wandered around all the corners of the yard (where all the good smells are) and explored two yards together! She has no problem sticking her whole snout in the chilly snow if it means she'll find a good smell!

Well it certainly was a chilly day today but the littles didn't seem to mind one bit! Miko with his poofy jacket on, is a snow pro, pouncing around and rolling around in all the deep piles of snow with his pals! Xiao Bao likes to follow him around and also played with his friend Julie today! No other pup is ever too interesting to stop Xiao Bao from checking in with me, though. He will get my attention by first rubbing his back against my legs, then when I look down he hops up and down so that I reach down to pick him up for snuggles :). Pearl loves to hangout with her bud Miko. The two of them can often be found running all over the yard together but today Pearl was content with just being by his side. Lola would simply waste the day away on her nice comfy bed, snuggling with her sister if she could. After a few minutes outside she is ready to head back in and get warmed up! She didn't feel like doing too much outside today but once we got in the playroom she was much spunkier and went around the room to explore. She and her sister investigated the rug in the playroom and then she came over for some quality bum scratches.
I'm pretty sure if Nanook was offered a nice snowy home he would live quite comfortably in it. He cannot seem to get enough of all this snow! When its time for outside, he runs out of his kennel to be the first one out. Then, he usually does a run and roll right into the powdery mounds of snow and wiggles all over it so he gets a nice layer of powder on his back. He actually had a small case of the "zoomies" today where I pretended to chase him for a second and he just went running around the yard like crazy! Once he stopped, took a look around and then decided it was time for inside. Once in the playroom, all the pups played with some toys, enjoyed hopping all over me as I crouched down and ran around like maniacs at times! One of the ladies Julie, grabbed a toy and scooted around with it to try to get the other pups to play with her. The other littles were intrigued but were happier to just hangout with me on the floor.

Little Miss. Taylor was the center of attention today! She made lots of good friends and got along great with everyone. She spent some time exploring the big new yard and along the way introduced herself to the gang! She absolutely loves all the staff and is loved in return! She has such an adorable little face, its hard not to get lost in her puppy eyes. She was a little too shy to get into any wrestling matches or games of chase but I am sure she'll been zooming and playing with everyone in no time!
Apple is quite the independent little lady! As soon as she gets outside she's on a mission to explore the perimeter of the yard before anyone else can. After that, she'll start to look for wherever I am so that she can run over and get some snuggles in before her big brother tries to hog all of my attention. Sky does not seem to be too big a fan of this chilly weather we are experiencing, however he does not seem to mind all the attention he gets and that keeps him warm. When he looks over at me with those big puppy eyes, its hard not to immediately stop what I am doing to snuggle him. Fortunately I can divide my time so that I can snuggle with him as much as possible! He loves snuggling in his bed with his sister which makes going outside that much harder for him when he has to get up from his snuggly cocoon.

This group was full of energy today! Everyone was playing with everyone and no one was left out! Boris and Hercules were practically inseparable and were wrestling alongside Kyah and her new pal Zak. Tucker and Finnigan became really good buds and before everyone broke out into one big game of wrestle-chase mania, Tasha was quietly enjoying sniffing in the other half of the yard. Once she saw all the fun that was going on, though, she couldn't resist joining in. She played for a little while and then watched from the sidelines as she caught her breath for a moment. Meanwhile Boris and Hercules were running into everything, too caught up in what they were doing to watch where they were going! Hercules is so adorable in his little hoodie that all the dogs just want to be his friend! Finnigan and his new friend Tucker just loved wrestling together and wore each other right out! Finnigan took a nice nap after groups to ensure that he'd have enough energy to play with his pal again. Tucker (after getting all dolled up at the grooming salon) introduced himself to all the dogs outside and then quickly jumped into all the fun! No lack of energy in this guy, he just loves to play and make friends with everyone. Kyah loved playing and wrestling with her friend Zak and the two of them chased each other all over the yard. She is always happy to play with her fellow husky friends Boris, Tasha and Magic though and was keen to have everyone involved in a big game of chase.

Everyone in this group was happy to just simply be around each other and explore the yard. Apollo kicked things off by finding a rope toy in the snow. Unfortunately, it was partly frozen into the ground which made for a good pull toy but he wasn't able to snatch it away for himself. His friend Molly saw his attempts to get this toy out of the ground and went right over to help him. The two tugged and tugged for quite some time together but unfortunately, the ice won this time. Apollo gave up and went on to do his own thing as Molly decided not to give up on her new favorite toy. She laid in the snow with the hope that she could get the toy out on her own but was unable to tug hard enough to get it free. She took a break after a while and instead came over to where Oakley and I were hanging out to get some attention. She checked Oakley out who then got up to walk around with Molly and then the two went their separate ways. Oakley went to sit at the back of the yard where her friend Bella joined her and kept her company for a short while. Bella had been exploring in the other part of the yard and decided that since everyone was in the other part, that she would come over to join the rest of us! Bluebell stuck around the rest of the 'herd' and oversaw the "Get the tug toy free" project with Molly and Apollo for a little while. The rest of the time she just wanted to enjoy everyone's company, so she followed the group from yard to yard, paying close attention to her friends and their activities.

ENHANCED:
Boris: Boris is doing excellently with his recall! I would throw a toy across the room for him to go after and when I would call him back he would actually stop, put the toy down and come back to me. We also worked on 'lie down' and did something called "puppy pushups" where I would first make him sit, then lie down then go back up to sit before he got a treat and he actually did very well with those as well!
Tasha: The moment I stepped into the kennel to snuggle with Tasha, she could smell the treats that I had in my pocket. So I stepped out to get her her own treats so that she wouldn't feel left out. After that we snuggled for a bit just the two of us as Boris chugged down a bunch of water after his training session. We snuggled on the ground and then Boris came over and got a bunch of slobbery water on me and Tasha.

CATS
Chief: Chief lazed the day away in his cozy kennel. When I went into the cattery, it woke him up from a peaceful slumber and he was happy to be roused by some chin scratches and belly rubs.
Hes always so happy to get out of his kennel so he can go sprawl out on his favorite thing: the cat tree.

Missy: Missy was perched up on the windowsill when I entered the cattery this afternoon. She was probably looking out the window at the snow thinking "thank goodness I'm not outside in that weather!". She then hopped up onto the cat tree to show me how she likes to rub her face on the scratching post. She got some nice belly rubs in the cat tree nook and then it was time to go hangout in her kennel.
