Cattery

Chief, Aquinas, and Marley were all enjoying hanging out in the main room when I went in for a visit. As soon as they spotted me Chief started talking and they all headed my way. Marley got to me first and put a monopoly on my attention. When he'd finally had enough love he went trotting off to the windowsill. Aquinas and Chief took advantage of his leaving so they could get some attention and pets for themselves. Once everyone had had sufficient attention I went to see what Misty was up to. She was curled up in her cubby having a nap, but opened her eyes and gave me a quick hello before curling back up into a tight ball.

Groups

The first group of the morning was pretty excited to get outside. Bruno started leaping around as soon as we got out the door. The group made their way out to the far yard. Apple stood waiting for someone to start running. It didn't take long for her wish to be granted. Bruno and Mac were soon ripping around the yard. Sky took himself off to the far part of the yard where he then proceeded to rub his butt on the fence. After he'd given himself a good scratch Sky wandered off back to the main yard. Timbits wondering what Sky had been up to, went racing off over to the spot to do a thorough examination. Bruno decided to take a little break from running to having himself a good roll in the snow. He then found himself being checked over by Merida. Since she was there Bruno asked her to play. Apple didn't miss out on any running partners while Bruno was occupied. She was still having a blast running around with Mac. Coco and Timbits both finished with their own explorations and decided it was time to start playing. Apple thought they looked like a lot of fun and ran over to see about joining. Soon Apple. Bruno, Coco, Timbits and Merida were having a great time racing around together. I left them to their running and went to see what Sky was up to. He was having himself another butt scratch, but as soon as he saw me Sky came trotting over wanting some love. Merida eventually joined us. Sky quite liked her and was quick to start hip checking her hoping they'd start to play.

As soon as the next group got outside Kouza was quick to tell me all about everything. Xiao Bao, Nanook, Tessa, Simon and Monte all set out to do a little exploring. It wasn't long before Xiao Bao was off ripping around with Merida. The two of them made their way out to the far yard with Tessa, Monte, Simon and Nanook tagging along. Nanook being the snow dog he is was quick to throw himself into the snow to roll around like a crazy man. Tessa, wondering what he was up to, made her way over to investigate. Merida then came charging over to see Tessa. It soon turned into Merida, Tessa and Simon walking around in a line with their noses to the ground. Nanook moved onto another good rolling spot. Xiao Bao went running over to check on his friend. Monte decided to tag along with Xiao Bao. After a quick visit with Nanook they went to join Tessa and Simon. Once they left him Nanook revelled that he had a toy stashed in the snow. He then proceeded to toss it around and have himself a ton of fun. Nanook wasn't alone in his fun for long as Monte noticed and went running over to see if he could play as well. When Nanook wouldn't share Monte went running off with Simon. A little while later he went racing around with Merida. Xiao Bao not wanting to miss out on the action ran to join in. Tessa went to join in as well but was sidetrackked by Julie. Xiao Bao eventually took a break from playing so Julie went to hang out with him for a little while. Kouza wondering what they were up to made her way over to check it out.

Everyone couldn't wait to get outside. Duke was quick to find himself being asked to play by Kane and Stella. Syrus stood a little off to the side and watched Duke. Molly set out to find herself something exciting. Syrus soon bored of watching Duke went to see if maybe Merida might want to play. Kane and Isis had the same idea so Merida was a little overwhelmed and refused to play with anyone. Molly's adventures were interrupted by Stella who very much wanted to play with her. It didn't last long though as Duke came charging in to steal Stella away. Molly was quick to go back to searching. It soon paid off and she found herself a rope toy. Molly proceeded to then have a grand old time by herself tossing it around and shaking it like crazy. As is her way Molly was soon rolling on top of the toy. Duke continued to play with Stella and Kane; that is until Kane went off to play tug with Molly and her toy. Duke soon felt left out and decided to make it a three-way tug. He soon realized it was a wee bit awkward and dropped his hold. Syrus still wasn't quite sure what to do with himself and continued to watch the others. After a little while we decided to work on Sadie and her being loose in the yard. She was super happy to have some freedom and was quick to start racing around with everyone.

Next up was a group with quite a few new arrivals. Everyone was quite eager to say hello to old friends and introduce themselves to some newcomers. Athena and Aphrodite were quickly done with their niceties. They then headed out to do some exploring in the snow. Colin was determined to say hello to everyone and give them a very thorough once over. Oakley said some quick hellos before finding herself as the centre of attention. Once they were all gone she was quick to come and plop herself beside me and ask from some love and attention. Oakley then left me to go and run around for a bit with Sam. Seeing me now free, Aphrodite headed my way for some pets. In the other yard Athena had been lucky in her explorations and had found herself a nice bone. After a little while we decided to head out to the agility yard. Oakley, Aphrodite and Colin all headed out to do some exploring. Athena was the last to enter the yard as she spent some time debating bringing the bone or not. In the end she left it and came over to me for some pets. While I was still petting Athena, Aphrodite came trotting towards us with a nice snowy snout. Not too far behind her was Oakley who also wanted some more attention.

The next group was pretty much a group full of puppies plus Bluebell and Sophie. Neither seemed to mind too much. Pretty much as soon as they got outside Bluebell was having a blast chasing after Charlotte. It then switched from Bluebell chasing Charlotte to Charlotte chasing Bluebell. They soon had Brokk and Hercules tagging along after Bluebell as well. Sophie  was off in her own world enjoying wandering around checking out anything that caught her attention. Finnegan spotted Glory shortly after they got outside. After that he was determined to stick to her side and get her to play with him. They ended up running out to the agility yard while the others hung out in the main yard to play. It wasn't long before Glory and Finnegan ran to join the others in the main yard. Hercules, Charlotte and Bluebell continued to have a blast playing together. Brokk stood a little to the side trying to convince Hercules to leave the others and come play with him. When that didn't work Brokk continued to follow them around. Sophie having apparently seen enough of the main yard made her way out to the agility yard to continue exploring. I let her have a couple minutes of peace and quiet before I got the rest of the group to head out to the agility yard as well. As they were approaching the gate Hercules and Finnegan noticed each other for the first time. They were an instant hit and started bouncing around and having a great time. Brokk decided these boys were the in crowd and hung around them the rest of the time. Out in the agility yard Charlotte and Bluebell continued to play and Sophie was off exploring.

Max was a part of the last group of the morning. He was so excited to get outside and start running around. Max spotted Bren and was quick to run over to see if she wanted to play. It wasn't long before they were wrestling and racing. Max left Bren for a moment to go and see if Merida wanted to play. When he went racing back to Bren, Merida tagged along.
