Jake is such a cutie! I love seeing him every morning because he gets really excited and loves to snuggle up to you. We cuddled for a few minutes after he came in from the first group of the morning. I saw Jake for the second time today when it was time for walks and I got to take him for an adventure. We went into the forest today and he absolutely loved it. He had so much fun smelling around on the trail taking all of the new smells on the tree trunks and taking in the new scenery. When our walk came to an end Jake went back to his kennel to snuggle up for a little nap before it was time to head out for groups. He played with Bridie and Spencer as they ran around the yard. He also came over to see me for a little while for some cuddles where he got a lot of back rubs and head scratches. All in all Jake had a great day today with his friends and I.
Xiao Bao was excited for his walk this morning and couldn't wait to spend time with his new pal Ginger. He had so much fun walking around on the trail; they both really enjoyed each others company. After walks Xiao Bao had time to warm up before heading back out into the chilly day for groups. He had fun playing with Nanook, Julie and Miko today and he also loved coming over for some cuddles. Nanook was so excited to get outside today that I hadn't even completely opened his door and he was already running out. Once we got outside he went and rolled in the snow for a little while before going and playing with everyone. After playing for a while he came over to me and cuddled into my leg where he got lots of back rubs.
Miko was so excited for his walk today with Taylor. He ran right outside and began to explore even before we got out to the forest. He loved all of the amazing smells that the forest had. When walks were done it was time to go out and play with all of his friends. He had such a good time playing with everyone today, especially Julie who was chasing after him. Miko is great at darting around the yard, and Julie made an excellent play-buddy.
Macie went for a walk in the woods this morning and she absolutely loved all of the amazing smells around the trail. She was very happy on her walk and she seemed to really like the cold weather and how interesting the trail was. After her walk she went inside to relax for a little while until it was time to go outside. When the time came, Macie was happy to stretch her legs and to go outside and play in the snow for a little while. She had lots of fun exploring around the yard and taking time to explore to try and find something interesting.The unearthed a few toys that were hiding around the nooks and crannies of the yard.
Taylor was vibrating with excitement when she saw me walk into the hallway with some leashes. To her delight I walked right into her kennel and put her harness on before putting the leash on too. Once all that was set up it was time to go and explore. Taylor loved all of the smells on the trail and she kept running ahead trying to get a better look to see if whatever left the smell was still their but then she'd come back to see if I was still following. After we had searched the whole trail for what could have left that strange smell it was time to go inside for a little while until it was time to go out for groups. She had so much fun running around with her friend Apple today. The two of them ran all around the yard chasing each other and jumping about. She had a great day and she can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.
Apple and Sky had such a great day today! They started their day off when I came in this morning and took them outside for group time They were both so adorable in their pajamas and they both looked very warm. When we first got out they both took some time to explore the yard and try to find something neat to show their friends. Apple then became bored of exploring so she went to play with Taylor. She ran around with her and they jumped and chased each other back and forth through the yards. Sky thought that it looked like fun so he decided to join in on their game. Apple and Sky both ran around happily with Taylor the rest of the time and by the end they were both so tired.
Bella and Jake are just so cute! I love going into their kennel and spending time with them even if it's only for a little while. They loved the cuddles I gave them and begged me to stay when I had to leave to go and finish some chores. We saw each other again when it was time to go out and play. Bella and Jake both started off by going and smelling around the yard together trying to find something that Apple and Sky were also in search of. Bella then went to check on what her friend Baby was doing and to see if she wanted to join her. Jake on the other hand went and played with Taylor for a little while before he decided to take a break and went to join Bella and Baby in their explorations. They both had a great day today full of adventures.
Max came in today and boy was he excited to meet everyone and play with them all. He finally got his chance to meet everyone when it was time for groups. Max met up with Willow who was just as excited to meet him as he was to meet her. They ran around playing together the whole time they were outside. They ran around chasing each other taking turns being the chaser and the one being chased. Max was thrilled when others would join in on their game and make it even more fun. After groups it was time to work on some of his skills. We worked on some easy things like sit and lie down before getting into the harder stuff like his recall. He did really well today and with some more practice he'll be really good.
Molly was so excited to go outside today and see all of her friends that love to play just as much as she does. When we got out she ran around with everyone for a while then came to say hi to me before running off in search of a toy. She found this really nice looking toy but sadly it was stuck in the snow. There was some of it just sticking out above the snow so she chewed on that for the rest of the time we were outside. That is until she was interrupted by the others racing past her and she just couldn't resist going and joining them. She had a great day today playing with her toy and with the others.
Willow was so excited today when I showed up at her kennel and hooked her up for her walk in the forest. She ran out the door and almost dragged me to the forest trail because she was so excited. Once we got on the trail she went and took in all the wonderful smells that were lingering around and she even tried to follow some strange animal tracks. This was how the whole walk went and by the end she was ready for a rest. She took a nice nap for a while until it was time to go out and play. When she got outside she met up with Max who was just as playful as she was and the two of them went and played together for the whole time. She had so much fun today and was so happy to have made a new friend.
Nika was really happy when it was finally time to go outside and play with all of her wonderful friends. She first started off group time by going and getting a good smell of the yard done before going to find someone to play with. She joined in on Willow and Max's play for a little while, but then decided to go back to exploring the yard. Once she was done with that she came over to me and cuddled with me for the rest of the time. She really enjoyed the one-on-one time and also had a great day hanging out with her pals.
Maverick and Shyla are both so adorable and I was so excited to meet them today. When I first got in I went and spent some time cuddling with both of them and they both really loved the extra attention. After our cuddle time they went out for a walk in the forest which they both really seemed to like. Shyla was very interested in all of the cool tracks and smells. Maverick on the other hand just liked sticking close to me and getting some extra attention while on the walk. After their walk it was time to go out for groups. They both had so much fun in group time today, running around with their good friends Magic and Boris the whole time. While playing they would take some time to come for some cuddles and they absolutely loved all of the attention in between bursts of energy.
Boris and Tasha spent group time outside doing their separate things today. Tasha went solo and explored the yard, while Boris went and played with his sister. Boris was having so much fun with Magic and then the game got even more exciting when Maverick and Shyla decided to join in. Tasha watched as her two children ran by with others chasing behind them and decided to just keep on exploring the yard. After their exciting group time they went inside for some training and extra attention. We practiced their sit, stay, lie down and recall and they both did really well. At the end they both got lots of extra attention and cuddles.
Bluebell is such a sweetheart and she absolutely loves to be cuddled. I went and cuddled with her for a little while this morning when I had so extra time and this made her really happy. I saw her again during group time where she went out to play with her friends. She had a great time running around with everyone and taking the time to smell around the yard while exploring. She even took some time to come and see me again and I gave her lots of cuddles and back scratches.
Lucy had such a great time today with her group! She went and played with the other dogs for a little while before going and exploring the yard for treasure. She searched high and low for this amazing treasure that she hoped to find. She spent the whole time looking and found a few toys that had been tossed to the edges of the yard during the previous groups. After completing her search, Lucy came to spend time with me, enjoying some one-on-one time until we were ready to head inside.
Cats:
Today was a great day in the cat room with lots of wonderful cats to see. First we have our adorable little man Chief who was having a great time scratching his favorite spot on the cat tree. He also took a nice long nap in his favorite part of the cat tree while I cuddled with him. Next up was Missy who spent the day lounging in her nice comfy bed while I scratched behind her ears. Finally we had Drew come in and he was in love with the laser pointer. He spent a lot of time going and chasing it around. Drew also became great friends with Chief and enjoyed looking out the window at some of the birds that would fly by.
