Hobart was very excited to go outside with his group. He started his day off by going for a walk with his pal Rylee. They had a great time. A little while later, it was time for him to go outside. He galloped out the door, staying very close to my side. He quickly greeted the new member of the group, Walker, then came back over to me. He approached me with his tail wagging and ears pinned back. He started to rub his body against mine and nudge my hand for some cuddles. I, of course, knelt down with him until he was ready to go on and explore the yard. He enjoyed staying along the fence line.
Maverick and shyla were both really excited to get outside to play with their friends today. Maverick raced out with scarlet while Shyla followed behind slowly, taking her time. Shyla took this time to get some exploring in with her pal Rupert. After racing out with Scarlett, Maverick went and explored a bit too until he wanted some cuddles. Shyla saw her brother getting cuddles so she came over and nudged in too. After our cuddle time was over, they both ran around with Rupert for a little while before it was time to go inside.
Walker and Max instantly made the best of friends today. In the morning, Max went on a walk on the trails with Scarlett. Max noticed immediately when he got outside that there was a new member in the group: Walker. Max approached him with his tail wagging and ears perked up. After a quick sniff, the two boys burst into a run. They are both so energetic, Max had no problem chasing closely behind walker for long periods of time. They would stop to pounce around if one of them got tired. They never stopped playing all day! Although, in the midst of all this fun, Max and I did practice recall. He responded well for the distractions around him.
Olive enjoyed plenty of cuddles today! First thing in the morning during her first outing, I gave her a quick cuddle as I put her coat on. Shortly following that, she went on a walk with her pal, Miko. They had a great time exploring the forest trails together. When the time came for her outdoor play, Olive seemed pretty happy to be going outside. In the yard, Olive would slowly make her way over to me, and stand close by until I knelt down and put my hand out for her. She then would wag her little tail and come over to me for a cuddle.
Bella and Jake had a lot of fun today. The pair enjoyed a lovely walk in the back trails first thing in the morning. Later on, at the beginning of their outdoor play time, they both seemed to be on a mission. They were both sniffing around the yard at a quick pace as if they were onto something. After doing that for a while, Bella came over to me for some cuddles with Olive. Meanwhile, Jake had so much fun playing with Ginger and Mac. The game started with just Ginger and Jake chasing each other around, but as soon as Mac saw the fun they were having, he ran over to join in. They were pouncing all over the place!
Miko had a good day. In the morning, Miko enjoyed his walk in the forest trails with his friend Olive. Not too long after his walk, he went outside for his outdoor play time. When Miko got out in the yard, he immediately started running around. He must of burned off so much energy from running around that much. Then, he started being silly and pouncing at his friends. He ran up to Teddy and pounced in his direction then ran away. After all that fun, he ended off his outdoor time by cuddling up to me. Miko rested his head on my leg when I knelt down to give him some pets.
Macie had a great time outside with her friend today. In the morning, she enjoyed her walk on the forest trails with her pal Justice. They had a great time together as usual. Later on, it was time for her outdoor play. When she got outside, she was thrilled to see her friend Justice again. They quickly greeted each other, then parted on their own ways to explore. Macie explored around an area that some grass and gravel is exposed. I walked around with her as she explored. Justice came up to her and I, and started howling. She looked at him with her ears up. They pounced at each other then ran!
Ripley had a great time with friends today. In the morning, she went on a walk with her friend Rupert. She was always excited to go outside, because she knew that meant being with her pals. When she got outside for her first playtime, she at first played with Sally and Gloria. They had so much fun and were tumbling around every where. Then, after a while they stopped playing. So she then began to play with Bandit and Magic. They all had a great time!
Casey and Kelley walked together in the back forest trails this morning. It was a great time! Not long after that, it was time for the girls to go outside with their group. They happily greeted all of the other dogs in the group when they got outside. After that, Casey came over to me. She stood by my feet so I knelt down with her. We cuddled for a while, and anytime I'd stop petting her she would nudge me. Then, Kelly came over and began to bark and howl for some attention as well. I called her over and she came and rested her head on my leg. The girls both got lots of cuddles.
Bandit had a good day. In the morning, he went on a walk through the forest trails. A little while later, it was time for Bandit's group to go out for their outdoor play time. He looked happy to see his friends outside, and greeted them right away. After lots of sniffing, Bandit decided to go on his own and explore the yard. He did that for a while, then decided to play with friends. Ripley approached him by pouncing everywhere. She definitely got him in the mood to play! They started running around together and having tons of fun. Then, their friend Magic joined in as well. They played for the rest of the time.
Cats
Today Ziggy lounged in the cat tree most of the day. He enjoyed a fun session with the laser pointer and made a new friend in Chief. Chief, like his new friend Ziggy, also enjoys spending his day in the cat tree. He took a break in the afternoon to have a stretch and watch some birds out the window. He gave lots of kitty kisses today! Missy is a more laid back kinda of girl that takes her "me" time very seriously. She wandered around the cat room for a little while and then had a nice big stretch on cat tree. Missy spent the rest of the day snoozing away in her kennel cozied up in some warm blankets.
Enhanced
Max was heading out for his enhanced when I was just coming in. He was sitting nicely at the door with Ashley waiting for her to let him know that they were ready to go. They went for a structured walk down the driveway with Max staying by her side and practicing his sits and downs. She then worked on his recall a little bit and then headed back inside. On his way in he met me again and greeted me so nicely with a tail wag and a little nuzzle.
