Bella had such a great day today. She is always so keen to get outdoors and meet up with her daycare friends along with her boarding friends. Rather than getting playing right away today, she put her nose to the ground and did a lot of sniffing and exploring. After she got all her adventuring done she met up with her buddy Justice. The pair quickly set off to partake in their usual games. Bella loves boxing around with Justice as well as racing full speed around the yard hot on his heels. Their games included some other pals too but Bella was always mostly focused on Justice. Bella was happy to meet up with Charlie for a brief period too for some kissing and flirting. It didn't last long as she spotted Justice playing with another girl and had to intervene. Bella was then involved in a game between Justice, Oakley, and Kyah. She was happy to partake in a bigger game but was also looking forward to her one on one time with Justice.

Oakley was full of beans today, mostly because of the fresh snow, I think. She reminded me so much of a sea otter, rolling around on the ice and snow flailing her limbs and slithering along. She drew a lot of attention to herself by doing this and next thing she knew she was the center of a big game. Oakley was overwhelmed by attention so fled from the action to my side looking for some protection. Of course she got pets and cuddles and was then soon accompanied by her silly friend Kyah. Oakley and Kyah did a lot of secret telling and kissing before beginning to goof around. Their games were very quirky, involving lots of pawing and nosing and then some weird rolling around. It wasn't long before Justice was in on their games. Oakley got a whole new burst of energy with Justice and began playing so much. She was leaping all over him, tossing her paws at him and bounding in front of him. It was adorable to watch. The pair had such a blast before Oakley spotted Nicki and made her way across the yard for some attention and cuddles.

Windy is always so entertaining to watch outdoors. She is so energetic, outgoing, as well as full of personality and spunk. Windy has really been enjoying the company of a fellow boarding dog named Riley. These two have become two peas in one pod. They always meet up with one another and play the same games day in and out. Windy loves wrestling around with Riley in the snow. They have so much fun mouthing at one another and spinning each other all around on the ground. These games continued on and on from start to finish of her first group. Windy has been lucky enough to partake in two groups a day, as she has enough energy to run and run! Windy loved her second group. It was a bunch of young dogs which kept her very busy. She never stopped moving from start to finish of this outing. Whether she was sprinting around with the huskies or rolling around with Polly and Buddy, she was always moving! Windy has been really enjoying her lunch time kong with peanut butter. She always looks forward to heading back into her kennel and receive this good treat. It keeps her very busy until her next outing.

Charlie is such a sweet boy. He is doing so well with us. Charlie knows our routine like the back of his paw now. He is great at lounging on his bed until the next activity rolls around. Charlie and I enjoyed a lovely trail walk with two friends Riley and Roobee this morning. I was happy to have Charlie leading the way as the snow needed to be packed down. With his size, it wasn't a challenge at all. Usually dogs are following in my footsteps but today I was following in his. During group time Charlie always looks forward to meeting up with his friends. He is keen to meet new dogs and looks forward to reuniting with his regular pals. Everyday he shows lots of interest for Kyah, Windy and Vega. He is a ladies man, succeeding very much so at getting their attention. He had good fun frolicking around with them for a while until he was distracted by some smells. Charlie adventured around the yard letting his nose lead the way until his friends asked him to play. He briefly joined in on some shenanigans but was happy to part ways for some one on one attention from me.

Polly loves her days with us, and that goes without question. I swear Polly continued to grow vertically each time I see her. She is so tall and lean now, making her an absolute power house in the yard. She doesn't even realize how fast she can run. Polly loved her group today. It consisted of a whole bunch of young, playful dogs just like herself. She did a couple laps with good pal Kane the goofy Weimaraner before meeting up with a new friend named Buddy. Buddy is a silly Bernese puppy who is full of positive energy. Polly and Buddy were glued at the hip for the majority of their outdoor time. They loved wrestling and rolling around as well as racing in a line around the yard. Kane flew in every now and then when he wasn't wrestling with Finnigan to pounce on Polly and Buddy. Kane was quite the social butterfly once again this week and made the rounds to all of his friends, both old and new, including Windy, Polly, Finnigan and Buddy. Polly was happy to join in on a big group race around the yard in between wrestles. Before she knew it she was leading the play rather than training along. It was a load of fun to watch, and I really had to be careful otherwise I would have gotten knocked over! She never stopped moving from start to end of the play group. When all of groups were done, Polly was very surprised to be let out once more with Kane for some more solo time in the yard. The pair made a great team in the yard with the springs in their steps! These two could race and run around the yard forever so we give them the opportunity to burn as much energy as possible before their lunch time nap.

Finnigan had such a blast out in his group today. He got to be in a group with so many young playful dogs much like himself. Despite all the playing going on Finn was pretty interested in a pretty husky in his group. He flirted with her a lot, but she wasn't going to let him get away with anything. He gave up after a couple tries and began to join in on all the group action. Finn couldn't chose who to play with so he did spurts of games with each dog. Finn loved the high speed races around the yard with Polly and Kane, as well as all the wrestling and rolling going on. He was also intrigued by the games going on in and around the tunnel. Finn went from game to game, ensuring to get in on all the action. When it was time to come in, Finn wasn't ready, as usual. He happily stayed out with the next group and enjoyed time with his bloodhound buddy Jake. These two romped around for ages, throwing their limbs around at one another until finally Finn was tired enough to make his way indoors for a break.

Flash and Zoe had another fun filled morning out in the snowy yard today with all of their little friends. Flash knew the orange tennis ball had to be lying around somewhere, so he put his nose to work and sure enough he found it! He dropped the ball at my feet as a sign he wanted me to throw it and older gal Belle was right by his side anticipating me to throw it. Flash caught some good air as he leaped off his hind legs into the air and snatched it up with his tiny jaws! Zoe didn’t care too much for the fetch action, but she happily stuck close by as she did some mandatory yard exploring with little buddies Lola and Pearl. Every day Zoe grows more and more confident and I get to see glimpses of that playful pup just waiting to come out. Luckily she has such an energetic brother that brings out the best in her and their bond is undeniable! An afternoon’s rest was in order next before the fun continued during their extra attention time and this is where the playful side really comes out of Zoe. She can’t resist that human interaction!

I was surprised to see just how much spunk little Lola had today! She kept right up with her sister from the moment she set paw out in that yard. She must have been feeling extra frisky today because she trekked all the way into the far yard when she usually grunts and finds a seat by the door waiting to go back in protest! Both Lola and Pearl must have smelt something fantastic because they were both motoring around with their little noses glued to the ground! They didn’t even care about all of the fetch action surrounding them, they were on a mission and nothing was stopping them today, not even the chilly wind! In fact Lola, usually the first to come in to find warmth in her bed, was the last one in the door today. I guess she thought she had enough energy to make a few last rounds before heading back in!

Pippin our little daycare gentleman also joined us today out in the yard and I have to say he looked extra adorable in that little winter coat of his, but when isn’t Pippin looking adorable! Much like lady friends Lola and Pearl, Pippin had lots of fun-loving energy to share today and he found a friend in Flash! He couldn’t resist the fun Flash was having alongside Belle as they anxiously waited for the ball to be thrown. Pippin didn’t care about the ball but he cared about getting the attention of little Flash by hopping up on his hind legs inviting him to dance. Flash graciously accepted his invitation to tango, and these two little guys wrestled in true small dog nature all morning long!

Max was thrilled to spend his morning with dynamic duo Riley and Roobee who were just as excited to be in his company, alongside frisky Berners Dragon and Gryphon! The first part of their morning was spent running back and forth from yard to yard and of course Roobee howled in song to keep them entertained. I soon realized Max was looking for some sort of toy to play with, he had so much fun yesterday with the wide variety of toys he got to choose from. I went and found him a nice rope toy and before I even took a step into the yard, he was jumping up trying to snatch it away from my hands before I could even throw it! Max was satisfied playing with the rope all morning long and Riley was entertained just watching him. It wasn’t until Leah came out into the yard that the party really started to go! Riley got a burst of energy out of nowhere and enticed Max to play. But Max was busy trying to catch snow out of Leah’s hands. All the while, Roobee was still in herding mode and happily running circles around the group singing, in true Aussie nature!
