Sophie and Charlotte sure do love their extra attention time. Charlotte races to the front and waits patiently for her sister Sophie to catch up. Charlotte likes to scan the room seeing what’s new and exciting, maybe a piece of food was missed from breakfast that she could steal. Sophie joined me over by the chair for some cuddles and a good hip massage which had her feet dancing away. Charlotte found the pink treat puzzle that she loves and started barking at it trying to convince me to fill it up with treats. I thought we’d do something a little different today. While Sophie made herself comfortable on the floor to watch her little sister, I found a fun squeaky ball. Charlotte was instantly interested and bounced after the toy every time I threw it for her. She would prance around the room showing off her ball before bringing it back to me to throw again.

Molly is so darn cute and always a lot of fun to play with during her extra attention time. We used the playroom to give her the most space to play fetch. I brought in the green squeaky ball, which of course she absolutely loved. She bounced, jumped and twisted after the ball as I bounced it around the room, always bringing it back to me, gently dropping it at my feet. We continued this game for the majority of her time, but she soon noticed the big red bin that always has toys in it. I took it down off the table and let her check it out. She picked up the green ball we had been playing with and dropped it inside the toy bin. Molly then continued to sniff out all the other toys to see if anything else was more exciting. After some thorough digging she decided the green ball was the best toy and brought it back to me to play. She took a break from playing for a little while to chew on the ball and roll around playing with it on her own.

Storm is really enjoying his time with us. He is especially a fan of all the huskies he gets to meet each and every day. He has become particularity fond of Koda as well as Justice. These three boys make for a fun trio. They are all very bouncy, and chatty. Their games always turn into intense wrestling that break off into fast sprints around the yard. Today Storm was also interested in a daycare girl named Jemma. Jemma is known for rolling onto her back while dogs introduce themselves, which really intrigued Storm. He spent a lot of time hovering over top of her waiting to see if she would get up to play with him. He was thrilled when she finally gave in and they briefly bounced around. Koda wasn’t far behind, resulting in Storm breaking off from Jemma to have some one on one husky fun. He kept very busy with Koda as well as the lovely Kimi for the majority of his outdoor time. Koda and Storm alternated flirting with Kimi, a fellow husky, inviting her to join in on their shenanigans. . The three had a lot of fun dancing and prancing around which soon turned into four when Justice joined in. Storm kept so busy today, he was happy to head back into his kennel for a nap to rest up for his next outing.

Molly is so much fun to have around. She is such a great spirit to have in the yard, her happy attitude rubs off on all her friends giving her group a very positive vibe. Molly was so excited to get in the yard and spot the Jolly Ball lying about. She was quick to dash over to it and slide along the snow and land right on it. Her other golden friend Charly was hot on her heels. These two ladies both love to fetch and play with any toys they can get their hands on. Molly was very assertive to her younger friend letting her know that the ball was hers and she wouldn’t be sharing. This didn’t get to Charly, as she continued to race after Molly as we played fetch. Molly and I played fetch and soccer endlessly until she was very tired. Molly was happy to take the ball with her into the deep snow and lie down with it. Here she chewed on it and then began to roll around in the snow. She was so pleased with herself for cleaning herself off in the fresh powder that she wandered around coated in snow without even shaking off. When it was time to come in, she tried bringing the ball with her and was a little disappointed when I asked her to drop it at the door. When she got into her kennel she already forgot about the ball as I gave her a cookie as a trade off.

Tsavo was so playful today! I haven’t seen this girl run this much in ages. It was the male huskies that really got her excited today. The second she got out into the yard she began sprinting after Koda, looking for a chase. Koda was more than happy to run around with Tsavo. Storm wasn’t far behind and soon Tsavo had two handsome huskies hot on her heels. She ran in circles all around the yard getting faster and faster as she moved. This continued for ages until she was distracted by Jemma and Charly rolling around. Tsavo took a trip to visit them and then broke off to do some sniffing and exploring on her own. She was very happy with all of her playing today.

Jemma never fails to put a big smile on my face. Today Jemma was so excitd to get out into the yard and begin exploring the deep snow. She seems to really enjoy the fresh powder that is covering our yards. She kept pretty busy burying her whole muzzle into the snow and then popping up for air. Her friend Charly was close behind her, checking out what she was up to. Soon they began dancing around which turned into a boxing and wrestling match. Jemma and Charly are a great match, very equal girls making their play even and fun. Charly loves tumbling Jemma to the ground and then pouncing all  over her. Jemma loevs this style of play so much. They continued these games, with other friends joining in one at a time. Jemma loves being the center of attention, continuing to roll around while everyone meets and greets her. She is such a lovely lady, always keeping her friends busy and happy.

Kimi had a lot of fun with her group today. Not only did she have one handsome boy to play with, but she had three! She was so thrilled to be the only female husky outdoors getting all the attention. Kimi can be quite the flirt sometimes, happily accepting kisses and attention from anyone who offers them. Kimi was particularly fond of Koda, a distant relative of hers. These two had a lot of fun pawing back and forth at one another, leading to dancing and boxing. Kimi can be very agile when the time is right, darting left and right of her friends who were inviting her to play. She was moving all around the yard with a smile on her face ensuring to get in on all the action. After loads of games with Koda she broke off to play with Storm and Jemma who were playing in the snow. It wasn’t long before Justice caught her attention and she began playing with him. When it was time to come indoors, Kimi wasn’t ready yet. She and Koda put up a bit of a stink, making me chase them all around. They thought it was quite funny as they were howling and chatting to one another as I slowly paced around the yard after them. They finally came in when I offered them cookies.

Max E is having so much fun with us. We have finally uncovered some toys from the recent snow storm, and he must be one of the happiest campers. The only thing Max loves more than snow being thrown, is a toy being thrown. It doesn’t matter what the toy is, he is beaming with joy regardless. Max was a big fan of the orange rubber Frisbee today. We were in the middle of a fast paced game of fetch when daycare friend, Percy, jumped in. Percy loves playing fetch but loves playing keep away even more. Max really enjoyed the challenge Percy provided him. The duo competed endlessly for the prize of the toy. Percy did a great job at getting to it first, leaving Max in the dust. Max ended up finding a better toy to play around with, a great rope toy. We had fun tossing this around while Percy looped around the yard with his treasure. Percy lost interest in the Frisbee when he noticed Max had another fun item. When Percy dropped the Frisbee Max was so quick to snatch it and show it off. Jynxx was quick to notice that Max had a treasure and began playing tug with him. Max and Jynxx tugged back and forth for ages while Nyxx and Percy were very close by, refereeing the match. By the time play time was over, Max had secured his possession of the Frisbee while Percy secured the rope toy. They both brought their toys back to their individual kennels to enjoy.

It seems like forever since I’ve spent time with Max and Sadie. After their week off, our paths haven’t crossed much. I was so excited to get to play with them today, and the duo was just as keen to see me. Of course when I entered the back play room Max began shrieking and dancing around. Sadie was much more serious than Max; she lay down before I even asked her too. She knows the drill very well. After waiting for their OK to go, they bolted out of their kennel. Max began playing with Sadie before she even got out the door. They continued their shenanigans right outside the door and moved their way into the big yard where they had more space to wrestle and run. Max was all over Sadie, mouthing at her and leaping all over her. Sadie was happy to rough house with her brother for a brief period. She told him off after some intense games, taking a break to sniff and explore. Sadie was happy to find a Frisbee to chew on while Max circled her, investigating what she had found. The pair quickly picked up the pace and began running and running. A helicopter passed over us today, which brought them to a quick halt. Sadie was absolutely fascinated by it and Max couldn’t figure out what it was. He was very chatty at the helicopter, which only got him more excited. Sadie and Max then ran and ran until it was time to come in.

It was a chillier morning than expected, but that didn’t stop our small dog clan from having some fun in the snow! Toast was thrilled to meet daycare pal Jake and happy to have another partner in crime now that Maya was gone. No introductions needed for these silly boys, off they went speeding into the far yard after one another for a morning of play! Toast seems to gravitate towards the somewhat bigger pups who have more energy to keep up with him, because let me tell you, Toast has endless amounts of fun-loving energy! We all know how much Jake loves a good play and he was very happy to have a buddy who could keep up with him today. Sister Bella on the other hand didn’t want to get in the middle of these rambunctious boys but, like the curious girl she is, she stuck around to watch the show! But she did grace us in song in true Bella fashion! Meanwhile, brother-sister duo DJ and Tinkerbell were off in their own world having some fun of their own! We all know how much DJ loves to sprint across the yard and today little Tink was following close behind! Although smaller, Tink kept up the pace and gave her brother a run for his morning, that’s for sure! These two precious pups were sporting their winter gear; therefore they could have kept going all day long! Lots of sibling pairs in the group today and Coco and Tim were excited to spend another morning sniffing out that yard like the true beagles they are. Tim has such a strong nose, that he is often the leader on his walks, pulling as if he weighed a lot more! Although they are mostly seen with their noses to the ground in exploration, they always make the time for a friendly snow-wrestle! Coco was happy to find the frozen rope toy, and spent the rest of her morning chewing away! Like most days, Benji was a busy boy, always on the move that one! A few laps around the yard to start and I always love how is long fluffy ears fly through the wind! Next up was a stop in the agility tunnel where he spent some time trying to dig out the ice from the inside, it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it! And lastly, he showed some interest in the rope toy and jumped up on his hind legs to catch it but didn’t follow through because before I knew it he was off again on another adventure!

Charlotte was definitely the star of her group this morning; in fact I don’t think I have ever seen her play as much as I did! We all know how much retrievers love the snow and today it brought out the frisky side in Charlotte! She was happy to meet up with her friend Windy, another blonde retriever. These two love to play together in the snow but they even have more fun playing with our Hound rescue Jake; he just loves the blonde girls. Charlotte was on the move this morning; she found much satisfaction in running laps around the rest but making sure to stop for a wrestle with ladies Ruby and Mika. Sophie found this quite amusing to see her sister in such a silly state. But she was feeling frisky herself and instead of taking her usual spot by the door, she ventured out into the far yard so she could see what all the commotion was about and explore the yard. Lots of energy expended for both these beautiful ladies and they were happy to come in to their warm beds for some rest!

Mocha was quite perky today and she let it be known by howling in a song I could hear her all the way down the hall from her spot in the kitchen. She did this until it was her turn for her morning trail walk. Her energy kept up a short while later for her group outing accompanied by her sister Issy. Mocha is a snow-lover and didn’t hesitate one bit as she headed out into the far yard. She started off with some big stretches; I could tell she was waiting for the perfect opportunity to start her snow roll. Everyone kept interrupting her because they were curious to see what she was doing, but when they finally left her alone she had her roll! Issy was off doing her usual laps of the yard but was happy to see fellow Huskies Isis and Teetu. Some familiar faces she thought! Next, Issy was due for a relaxing afternoon in the grooming salon and she looked extra beautiful and fluffy by the time she was done. Spencer and Cai were the last two to round out this fun morning group. Both big and black, they looked beautiful with all of the white glistening snow surrounding them. They were both also in extremely playful moods, often starting the play amongst themselves. Cai then started a wrestle with staff dog Isis and Spencer quickly joined in. Both very gentle, but they do love a good play and their excitement is always written all over they faces with those big floppy tongues of theirs hanging out the side. It was a fairly quiet group but both Spencer and Cai have that calm energy that everyone seems to enjoy and they are always loved by their four-legged friends.
