Finnigan had so much fun today! He was thrilled to stay in the staff room throughout the day. He never stopped playing with his staff room friend, Charly. The pair love to roll around on the ground together and play tug with all the bedding we have stacked up. In the yard Finnigan was thrilled to meet up with a boarding pal of his, Hudson. Hudson and Finn have met before, and loved each others company. This didn’t change one bit. They found one another right off the bat and played around for ages. Finnigan loves Hudsons play style, as it is very similar to his. The pair rolled all around the yard, mouthing at one another and jumping all over each other. These games continued for ages until Finn realized he was out of breathe and needed a break. He found a comfy spot in the snow to lie down and relax. This didn’t last long as he insisted on joining in on a fast chase that zoomed by him. Finnigan continued to zip and zoom around the yard until it was time to head indoors, where he absolutely crashed for a nap in order to regain his energy for the next outing.

It’s an absolute joy to have Hudson back with us. This guy is the life of the party, and he makes play time so entertaining to watch and so entertaining for all the other guests. Hudson met up with each and every dog in his play group, including the more independent reserved dogs. Regardless of the dogs age, size, or personality, Hudson could get them playing and racing around. He was thrilled to have bundles of fun with his old pal, Finnigan. These two love rolling around, wrestling and dancing together. He had a hoot racing around with his two chocolate lab friends Phoebe and Blue too. These three brown dogs were practically blurred together as the motored around the yard in a train. After this he broke off to good around with his pal Charly, who is a sweet heart. These two boxed, wrestled, and ran around. My favourite dog that he played with was Bentley. Bentley is very reserved and usually keeps to himself, but not today, not with Hudson around. Bentley and Hudson raced around the yard over and over with their ears flapping in the wind and their tongues hanging out. It was so much fun to see Hudson bring Bentley out of his shell and give him the opportunity to race around. Hudson was absolutely pooped by the time his play time was over. He was happy to head back into his kennel and lie down for an afternoon nap before his next outing.

Boris and Tasha love arriving in the morning. They run down the hall like they own the place and lead us to their kennel before we even get there. Today the pair was very interested in the same dog, Charlie, a big Rhodesian Ridgeback. They were so fascinated they circled him sniffing for ages. Boris lost interest so he took off to join in on some other fun, however Tasha was still very focused on this handsome boy. Tasha asked Charlie numerous times to please play and with some luck, he finally gave in. The pair frolicked around the yard dancing and playing. This continued for ages until Tasha spotted Boris whipping around the yard after Ariel. Tasha and Boris were quick to tag team Ariel and race after her. Of course, Justice and Kyah got involved too. Soon all the huskies along with Riley and Molly were smothering Ariel with their curiosity and desire to play. Ariel didn’t mind at all. Boris was happy to break off with Ariel for some one on one wrestling and running. The pair had a very busy day they were keen to nap when they returned indoors.

Charlee is such a sweet boy. I was excited to see him arrive this morning for daycare and groom. Charlee loved his first outing of the morning. He enjoyed the company of little Coconut as well as Olive. Both these ladies danced around him being very flirty and asking for his attention. He was happy to dance around with the pair and then come to me for some cuddles. Later in the day it was much of the same. Charlee followed me all around the yard with the biggest smile on his face, looking for lots of pets and attention. I ended up sitting in the middle of the yard and he came between my legs and accepted loads of pets and cuddles. From here, Coconut made her way to us and asked him to please play. He was happy to dance around with his girlfriend for a bit and then meet up with Samson for some more brief games. He was mostly happy to have human attention as well as the company of other dogs in the yard.

Coco and Timbits wee so nosey today! This time of year is a busy time for the hounds. Their noses can’t refuse all the smells that are lying throughout the yard. It keeps them very occupied, in fact it is hard to get them doing much else than buzzing around sniffing. Coco was keen to come across a big Nylabone in the yard. This distracted her from sniffing. She got very comfortable with it on the ground and then dragged it on top of the picnic table. She had a great chew while her brother danced around her displaying great jealously. Timbits made me laugh when he came racing back to Coco with an icicle In his mouth offering to trade. Coco looked at him as if he were crazy. Timmy then took the icicle into the corner and chewed on it until it was all gone. From here, he spotted Max and Tomi racing around and was quick to get involved. HE tried his hardest to keep up to these speed demons and ended up right in the middle of their game. Coco tried to control Timbits for a brief while but was quick to remember her bone lying in the corner and return to it. When it was time to come indoors, Coco dragged the bone across the yard while Timbits barked at her, encouraging her to get it into their kennel for further enjoyment.

Max and Sadie had an eventful trail-walk this morning; there must have been something special in the air because they were on the move! But not enough energy was expended during their walk they thought, so they were eager to get back outside, but this time to wrestle! Max chased Sadie all the way into the far yard after leaping out of the door and Sadie had to pick up speed if she wanted to outrun this big guy who was galloping behind her. Max was getting super excited, so with a small correction I lured him back towards me, but then Sadie in turn chased after him in retaliation; it’s Max and Sadie’s world, we are just living in it! A few laps later and they were ready for some rest but then the war started all over again when Sadie enticed Max to wrestle on top of the picnic table; never a dull moment with these two!

Windy was thrilled to see best pal Haley again out in the yard today. Straight to business as usual for these two frisky gals who immediately jumped up on to their hind legs to dance! However today, their duo quickly became a trio when young Nymeria decided that she wanted to join in on the fun. Windy happily accepted her into the pack by giving her a tap on the head with her paw as an enticement to play. This sent them off speeding around the yard with their tails tucked in behind them with the anticipation that the other would catch up! Windy could have kept going all day long if we let her; this pup has endless amounts of fun-loving energy! But a quick afternoon's rest was in order before she headed back out to do it all over again! Nymeria had a very special guest visit today, Mama Ariel was in the house and excited to see her little redheaded babe! But little no more, Nymeria has grown into such a beautiful girl, but don’t let the looks fool you; she is just as playful and excitable in the true nature of our Huskies!

Macie decided that she wanted to have a quiet afternoon, I think this past week of playing has finally caught up to her and she was ready for a leisurely stroll in the beautiful sun! She must have trotted back and forth across the yard a million times before she was ready for some fun; I knew her playful side was just waiting to come out like it has in the past couple weeks! She saw that Vega, Korvo and Bush were having a nice chew on some Nylabones in the snow and she wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Sure enough, like the confident girl she is, she walked right over and snatched one of the bones away while her little tail was wiggling in delight! Needless to say that bone didn’t leave her mouth for the rest of their outing and she pranced around with it in her mouth with pride! The bones made it in with her inside and she happily carried it onto her bed for an afternoons chew!
