Issy was feeling very excited when it was time to head
outside today. All the fresh snow gives her lots to sniff and explore, keeping
her very busy. Mocha was in the same mindset too, at first. As Mocha motored
around the yard she quickly realized she was being followed. Charlie the
Rhodesian Ridgeback was very interested in miss Mocha. Mocha wasn’t opposed to being followed at first, but then decided she should get to know him before
allowing it to continue. She was pretty frisky with him, putting herself nose
to nose with him and then wiggling backwards away from him. Charlie thought
this was an invite to play and began dancing and prancing around her. Mocha was
quick to change her mind and zoom off to enjoy some solo time around the
perimeter of the yard. As Mocha took off, Charlie spotted Issy doing some fast
paced circles at the back of the yard. He made his way right too her and began
dancing around her. All this commotion got Justice and Windy’s attention and
soon Issy was involved in a group meeting. She wasn’t apposed to all the
attention at first. Of course, she realized Justice was trying to flirt with
her and took off to keep Mocha company in their own privacy.
Miko was so excited to meet up with his pal
from last week, Coconut. The duo quickly picked up where they left off from last
week by dancing and prancing around. Miko and Coconut love to box. Their
balancing skills impress me very much. Both Miko and Coconut are able to hover
on their hind legs for so long, with their front legs in front of them or
wrapped around the other. They love dancing around with one another as well as
racing in circles. Miko was very pleased with his time with coconut, but was
keen to explore the yard and meet some new friends too. Miko briefly danced
around with his pal Samson, before being distracted by a great ball being
launched across the yard. Miko tried his hardest to keep up with Tank, the
fetch rock start. Miko was just as thrilled to race around, as he was to
retrieve the ball. He did a couple turns with the ball but mostly followed Tank
around on his never-ending game of fetch. When it was time to come in, Miko put
up a bit of a stink. It is freezing cold today, but never the less he insisted
on staying out and playing. He got a coupe more laps around the yard before we
finally convinced him to head indoors for a nap before his next outing.
After a morning up front for some extra
attention time, Flash and Zoe were then whisked away for some more fun but this
time out in the fluffy white snow! Flash raced out the door in excitement with
Zoe and the rest of the small dog gang not far behind. Zoe and the gang were
cautious when entering the yard with all of the snow blowing in their faces,
but Flash couldn’t be bothered, in fact he enjoyed it and quickly snatched up
the orange tennis ball! With the squeaky ball in mouth, Zoe followed her
brother into the far yard for some fun and little Maya was hot on Flash’ trail
trying to see if she could get the ball from him. Zoe definitely took her time
to sniff out her surroundings and do some exploring but she couldn’t help but get
excited as Maya and Flash were dancing around on their feet kicking up snow
behind them in excitement! Maya just adored little Flash and the two of them
were inseparable most of the morning; back and forth they ran, up and down they
jumped and they played to their little hearts content! Towards the end of
group, Zoe let her guard down and every so often would zoom in for a quick
wrestle with her brother and Maya. I have a feeling in no time, Zoe will be
leading the pack to a group wrestle; she just needs some time to warm up is
all!
Max and Percy had their own little fetch
party out in the snow today along with fellow friends Dragon and Gryphon. They
were digging up toys from out of the snow that I didn’t even realize were
there, they let their noses lead the way! Percy was first to find the orange
squeaky ball that Flash had left behind from the group prior and started
running around in excitement as the ball squeaked from the pressure of his
mouth. This squeak got the attention of Max and he ran as fast as he could from
the front yard all the way to the far yard followed by Dragon and Gryphon. He
soon realized that Percy wasn’t going to give up the ball so easy, so he made
do with the rubber bone he dug up and played a few rounds of fetch with me. Now
Percy wanted what Max had and there was a lot of back and forth exchanging of
toys. Towards the end, Max let Percy have all of the toys because he got a case
of the zoomies and decided to be the entertainment for the morning as he ran
back and forth from yard to yard like a speed demon! It was hilarious to watch
and even funnier watching Dragon and Gryphon trying to keep up!
Riley and Roobee were ecstatic to spend
another morning out in the snow with some of their favourite friends! This
sweet pair have such a fun-loving energy that they give off and everyone enjoys
their company in the yard. Although their four-legged friends were enticing
them to play today, Riley and Roobee were interested in playing with the
humankind, they followed Leah into the agility yard. Leah got Riley excited as
she chased him around and he excitedly chased her back, Roobee found this to be
quite entertaining. Next it was Roobee’s turn, but she didn’t want to play
chase, she much preferred a belly rub and got right down into the snow for her
attention! They spent the rest of their morning running around but making sure
to stay close to our sides in case we were open to more belly rubs! Not to
worry, lots more belly rubs to come their way a little later for their
individual extra attention time!
