Miko is a rambunctious little guy.  He loves to play outside more than any of his small dog friends.  Sometimes it can be hard for him to find other dogs to play with but he doesn’t mind playing by him self.  One of his favourite things to do is dart full speed from one yard to another and back again.  It can sometimes be a challenge to get him to come back inside after playtime because he is having so much fun. A little Westie friend decided to join Miko as he ran from yard to yard, and even started a little wrestling match. Once inside he is quick to go back into his kennel and take a well deserved nap.  He needs the rest in order to play as hard on his next group rotation!

Lola and Pearl are two very adorable pugs.  Pearl played a little bit with another small dog named Miko in the yard today but was more interested in all the smells outside.  Her sister Lola was equally as interested in sniffing.  With all the warm weather we have been having lately patches of grass have emerged from the deep snow and that is where the best smells are of course! During breaks from sniffing and basking in the sun Lola enjoyed some nice pets from the people outside with her.  Both dogs and their noses were ready for a rest after their adventures outside this morning.

Benji had a great time outside today.  He took over the picnic table as his castle.  He invited his people friends up there to give him some attention.  After that he played with the two beagles in named Coco and Timbits.  They are good friends.  Benji even enjoyed some playtime alone in the agility tunnel today!  He was running in and out of it like a pro.  When it comes time to go inside Benji always listened very well and comes willingly.  Once inside his kennel he always gets a drink of fresh cold water after his big play!

Max and Sadie love to play with each other!  Outside they both took turns standing on the picnic table and soaking up some rays from the sun.  Sadie enjoyed a little bit of playtime with the ball outside but Max was more interested in sniffing.  Max and Sadie played a lot with each other running full speed throughout the yards.  Both Max and Sadie could stay outside for hours with each other, but they always listen well when called to come back inside.  Then it is time for a nap together on their extra soft beds until playtime comes around again.

Boris and Tasha were extremely playful today. They both enjoyed the company of their friend Haley. We couldn’t catch them still for a second. We had a lot of toys out in the yard and the group of them were continuously playing all together, running around and wrestling. Boris was really patient today as everyone wanted to play with him, but he did not get overwhelmed and divided his attention between the dogs. Haley was definitely his buddy today for wrestling, very fun to watch.  It was also great to see Tasha join in on the fun energy and bounce around the yard with her brother. I think the sun is definitely helping as well, they seemed so eager to be playing outside in the beautiful weather. Boris was great going back in his kennel as well which was awesome to see.

Issy and Mocha today got some good pictures basking in the sun. Issy would putter around the yard and Mocha stayed close to her sun bathing spot near the front. Our staff made sure they both got lots of attention outside, as they tend to sit out on wrestling and playing. They were much happier with us petting them and walking with them around the yard, enjoying their company.  They are such content dogs and always a pleasure to have.

Percy was running around lots today as usual. He doesn’t shy away from any dog and shares the love equally…what a good boy. His barking seemed to be quite good outside today and was mostly distracted by the others playing with toys and wrestling, so he was busy doing that.  Percy is a very fun loving dog and we were excited to see him play so well with the others. He took a liking to Cassel and they were little buddies bouncing around the yard together trying to entice the others to join in on the fun. We were constantly throwing toys to keep Percy running around, although he really didn’t need much assistance in that department.  I think today was a really good group for him and he should be out like a light by tonight!
