It’s been a while since I have seen miss Bella, and it was wonderful to reunite. I was very excited to see her in the yard. She leapt all over me, and then nuzzled her nose into my side where I used to stash treats. I had to go back inside to find a cookie for her so that she wasn’t disappointed. After this she motored around the yard saying hello to all of her group mates. Bella did a wonderful job of politely greeting all her friends. When she met up with Justice, a spark lit up in her eyes and she was love struck. She instantly began dancing around him with her tail wagging full speed. She slowly approached him and rubbed herself against his side. She then turned to face him and began licking his muzzle and his ears. Justice is such a ladies man, so he just stood there accepting all her love and attention with great pleasure.  Finally, Bella play bowed then bounced right on him looking for some fun. Justice was quick to duck out of her grasp and bolt the other way looking for a chase. Bella was more than happy to zoom around the yard with him. It didn’t take long or the other huskies to join in on the shenanigans. Soon enough Bella was out numbered. There were 4 huskies, and she. She was very confident in herself and partook in their intense games without a worry in the world. They had so much fun zooming through the tunnel, and then bolting around the yard in one big pack. They continued these games for quite some time. Bella was tired after a couple laps of the yard so she headed to her favourite spot; the pool. Her boyfriend Justice followed her and the two of them splashed around in the pool cooling off and keeping one another company until it was time to head back indoors.

Kaos was so excited to get her day going, starting with a walk. We had a great trot along the trail, accompanied by Bentley and Mack. Kaos was very thrilled to have two buddies walking by her side. She spent her time on the trail with her nose to the ground weaving back and forth through her walking pals. Kaos was always sure to check up on them after a long time of sniffing. By the time groups rolled around Kaos was ready to get the party started. She head out in to the yard, bouncing likes a deer leaping through a field. Despite her perma-frown, I could tell that she was so happy to be in the yard with her friends. She couldn’t decide whom she wanted to play with first so she spent some time frantically bouncing back and forth between dogs looking for a playmate. When she spotted Finn and Duke romping around she slowly approached them. Once she got to them, she instantly rolled on her back showing them that they were boss. Duke and Finn sniffed her head to toe and she was sprawled out across the ground. Her silly behavior drew the attention of her other playmates which created a swarm of dogs sniffing silly Kaos plastered out on the ground. After everyone got their sniffing in, Kaos shot up in the air and zoomed across the yard. Withou† a doubt in their minds, Duke, Finnegan, Magic and Rosie followed. This crew had so much fun zipping around the yard. IT wasn’t long before Trooper noticed Kaos and joined in on the fun too. Kaos is an absolute hoot and always knows how to get the party started. Alternating between friends and games, Kaos had a very fun filled day.

Finn is always a great addition to our playgroups on the days he is here. He brings so much positive energy with him and it really rubs off on all his pals. His best friend of all time, Duke, is always so excited to see him. To no surprise, Duke and Finnigan met up the moment they spotted one another in the yard. Their shenanigans started right away and didn’t end until it was time to head indoors. These two have an adorable style of play. They basically wrestle and box in slow motion, using their mouths and paws to push and play with one another. My favourite thing when watching these two plays is how Finn grabs Dukes extra skin in his mouth. Duke has so many flaps since he is a bloodhound, which makes wrestling extra fun. Duke loves all the attention he receives from Finnigan and couldn’t care less that sometimes his folds are used as a toy. Alternating from standing wrestling, to rolling around on the ground with one another, these two were paw in paw the entire outing. In between matches they would both take a break to cool off in the pool. While Duke would wade around Finnigan was sure to fully submerge himself in the shallow water. He has figured out how to get his whole body wet, which involves him rolling around in the pool. Duke stands back when he does this, as it tends to send water flying. After Finnigan's swim today he bolted over to rocks and began rolling around on the rocks, weeds and dirt. Despite my attempts to get him to hop back up, he continued these shenanigans until he was coated in grass. Luckily he went for another dip before coming indoors, which tidied him up a tad. Later on Duke and Finn met up with Adele, another bloodhound, who kept them very busy by playing a three way game of tug. Contrary to what I was predicting, Finn won the game of tug against two dogs both that are twice his size! That’s one strong boy.

Lola is sweet with a little bit of spice. She is always keen to receive pets and cuddles, but when it comes down to it, she is very sassy and full of energy in the yard with her pals. For her first outing of the morning she was way too busy sniffing and exploring with her siblings to even notice me. At one point, she had her whole body deep in a hole and Vega joined in on top of her. I laughed really hard watching Lola try to back out as Vega tried to squeeze in. I had an interesting walk this morning with Lola, Joe, and Ivy. Of course these two were thrilled to see their momma, but it made for one busy walk. Joe and Lola were jumping all over one another while weaving under Ivy. After untangling their leashes one hundred times, I decided Joe and Lola would take turns walking by my side which made it much more manageable. Lola had a great time in the yard this afternoon. She really enjoys the kiddy pool, especially when her friends accompany her. Vega is always happy to tag along with Lola and Joe tends to follow along as well. Midway through group time Lola met up with Finlay who was absolutely in love with miss Lola. These two had some good fun chasing one another and splashing in the pool together.

It is so great to have Olive and Finlay back. These two are such a pleasure to take care of. Both Olive and Finlay were ready to get going today. The moment I opened their kennel for their first group outing they came bounding out and began zooming up and down the hall. I opened the door and they bolted across the yard and instantly started chasing one another. Once they got their zoomies all out, they were quick to find the pool. I was very surprised to see Olive leap in, followed by Finlay (who I wasn’t too surprised to see in the pool). Olive was adorable in the water, which went about up to her belly. She was slowly pawing at it, as if she were trying to swim. She dunked her muzzle a couple of times and did numerous circles as well. Meanwhile Finlay was pouncing around, sending water flying everywhere. Once these two were nice and wet they hopped out and began looking for some good playmates. Finlay was very pleased to be accompanied by 3 Siberian husky puppies in the yard. He did a great job of getting them to play with him by pawing and play bowing to them. Vega was very intrigued by him and these two did several fast laps around the yard. It wasn’t long before Olive decided to join in on the games. These three were so speedy it was hard to get a good action shot. Finally Abbie and Jock, two Westies, thought they would join in too. Olive was in the lead with Finlay and Vega close behind with Abbie and Jock keeping up as well. After they tired themselves out, it was back to the pool for Finlay, where he met up with the lovely Lola. Finlay flirted with her a little bit by kissing her face and forehead. She wasn’t too sure of his antics, but she stuck around nonetheless. Meanwhile Olive was hanging out by my side accepting as much attention as she could receive prior to heading back indoor for an afternoon nap. A little later on this afternoon I went and got Olive and Finlay for their extra attention time. The pair was so excited and they barked all the way up the hallway and into the playroom. They immediately put their noses to the floor and started sniffing. Their exploring didn't last long, though when Olive saw me pick up a ball! She was so very excited and took off like a bolt of lightning when I threw it across the room. Finlay went chasing after his sister and covered her in kisses once he caught up. After a few rounds of fetch, I showed Finlay the stuffed fox toy and he grabbed it right out of the air. Olive and Finlay spent most of the rest of their play time wrestling with each other and trying to get their paws on that fox stuffy. They only took quick breaks to come and see me for some pets, and for Finlay to give me lots and lots of kisses.

Today, Abbie and Jock were more playful than I have ever seen them! It took them a little while to get involved in the games. They were both very content to start their time outdoors by sniffing the gravel yard. Abbie hung out by my side while I walked around while Jock exploring the perimeters of the yard. As I head in to the grass yard, both of them followed. I was trying to get the action to start so I began running around the yard. This is what set them both off to begin playing. Two of their group mates Olive and Finlay bolted after me, causing Abbie to prance along too. Abbie loved racing around with Olive, a Boston terrier. These two chased one another around the agility tunnel, around the boulders, and then weaved their way through my feet. Finlay was supervising the shenanigans until Jock joined in. All of a sudden these four were bolting around the yard at full speed. Vega the puppy was more than happy to join in on the fun as well. Jock really enjoyed the company of Vega and he broke off from the racing to hang out with her. Vega was very cute to sir Jock, she was pawing at him and play bowing while Jock slowly danced around her. They kept one another company until it was time to come in. Meanwhile Abbie was still very focused on Olive and Finlay and their high-speed chase. She tried her best to keep up and did a great job. By the time group time was over both Abby and Jock were happy to see their cot where they both had a deep snooze until their next outing.

Iris came in with her new sister Amber this morning and we were all very happy to meet her and get them settled in. Amber was a little shy at first and stuck right by Iris’ side the entire time during the day. It didn’t take Iris very long at all to get comfortable, though as she loves all the dogs in her group and is very social. When they first went outside Amber followed Iris right out the door where she instantly took off and began to run around the yard as fast as she could. She ran all the way to the further yard where she began to run around in circles around all of the agility equipment. As I went over to go see her she hopped along into the gravel yard to go and see Iris again. She definitely loves her big sister. Iris was sniffing around the gravel yard when she first came outside with the other dogs. She went up to some of her friends to say hello as she passed by them on her way through the yard. When she saw Amber running around the grass she skipped over closer to her and watched her as she ran like the wind. When Amber went back over to see Iris they stood together on the gravel as I walked up and began to pet them. Iris was so happy to see me and jumped up on my lap to be pet. Amber was a little shy and laid down beside my leg as I began to give her some cuddles. At first she was a little nervous at first, looking up at me with her big puppy dog eyes. I brought both of them over to the little picnic table with me and sat them up on top to watch the other dogs run around and play. Amber laid down as the breeze blew through her hair beside Iris who was sitting straight up and giving me lots of kisses. Whenever I pet Amber Iris would bring her head down to her and give her some kisses as well.

George and Titan had such an exciting day outside in the yard today with their group. At first when they went out into the agility yard to join them it seemed like they were still a little worn out from their walk to do much playing as they both went straight to explore. They both kept their noses to the ground as they started to sniff along the rocks and the grass. George is so curious whenever he’s outside and he gets so lost in his own thoughts that he keeps that nose right to the ground. As I was calling his name to come over and see me he barely lifted his head as he didn’t want to stop sniffing around in the grass. Titan’s the opposite, as he was roaming around the yard and doing his business when I called him over he seemed so eager to come and see me. He trotted over with a huge smile on his face and put his head in between my legs to be pet. Eventually when they were both done exploring around the yard they both walked over to the pool to cool off. George didn’t go in the water but he drank lots of it out of the pool to quench his thirst while Titan hopped right in with no hesitation. He stood around in the water for a little bit as some of the others joined in as well. He said hi to them as they gave him a sniff and waited for a moment before he jumped back out. When George was splashing around in the puddles some of the dogs that were playing ran over and began to play right in front of him. George seemed to be really intrigued and got excited as he watched them wrestle. He ran over and began to bounce around the other two dogs as they were all frolicking around the yard. The other dogs loved George right away and started to play back with him. They were both taking turns jumping up on to each other, then running around in circles to see who could catch up with who first. When Titan saw George playing so much he ran over and began to play as well. At first he joined in with Titan but once he saw some of the other dogs playing he ran right over to them and joined their game as they were wrestling around the grass. George and Titan followed me without hesitation into the playroom this afternoon. The boys spent a few minutes sniffing around before George came across the toy bin. He put his whole head in the bin in search of something fun. George pulled out a stuffed fox toy and started shaking it all around the room. Titan and I watched him from the other side and then found a tennis ball! Titan was thrilled and tossed it up in the air over and over again. This caught George's attention and he came racing over to try and get in on the fun. Eventually George did manage to steal the ball away from Titan and he ran off, holding his prize high in the air. Once the boys were all tuckered out, we spent some time together hanging out on the couch.

Keeva and Egan both had a super fun day out in the agility yard this morning as they went out for their group. Egan loves to go up to all of the dogs while he’s outside and try to get them involved in his games since he loves to play. He ran up to just about everyone one at a time and began to play bow towards them to see which dog would react and want to play as well. He seemed to be extremely interested in Louis at first but sadly he didn’t want much to do with Egan so Egan moved on to the next dog to start playing. Once he found his perfect play mate it was on and Egan began to run around the yard to play tag. They chased each other all around the agility tunnel then back over to the pool as they hopped in and jumped back out to continue. When Keeva first got outside she was really playful as well, but she seemed to be more interested in me than the other dogs at first. She was running around me in circles playfully trying to get me to chase her until she ran up to a blue Frisbee that she noticed on the ground and was trying to pick up. I scooped it away from her before she had a chance to get it and threw it across the yard for her to chase. She ran after it and brought it back for me so I threw it in the same direction again, only this time she ran over and decided that she didn’t want to play with it anymore she left it there in the grass for the next dog to enjoy.  This is when she noticed Egan running around and playing with one of his friends. Keeva instantly ran right over and began to prance around them playfully trying to get their attention. When Egan didn’t notice her she jumped right in on her own and started to jump up on his back to wrestle him. Once Egan started to do it back to her she jumped back and began to run around as they chased her as well. After a long time of playing they were all super worn out and headed over to the pool to cool down. Keeva jumped right in the water and started to take sips out of the pool while Egan drank lots of it but never went in until Keeva jumped back out of the water. Keeva had a nice little nap this afternoon before heading out on the trail with Susan for her extra walk.

Louis and Paisley had a nice relaxing day out in the agility yard with their group this morning. Louis seemed to be a little tired from the short walk he had right before he went outside since he was fast asleep snoozing on his bed when I was about to let him out. He trotted out the door alongside Paisley who wasn’t so tired and seemed very pleased to be going outside with all of her friends. Once they got into the yard they began to walk along the fence heading towards the pool to begin to explore. Louis was wandering around the yard watching over all of the smaller dogs run around. A few of them walked over to him to say hi, including Keeva and Egan. Louis loves Keeva and got excited when she was bouncing around her. He couldn’t keep up with how fast she was going as she was running around him in circles. Egan was trying to play with Louis right as he got outside as well. He kept on jumping up to try and get his attention as he was walking along and exploring. Louis stared at him and Egan still continued to prance around him to try and get him to join in. Paisley was sniffing around and exploring along the rocks at first for a little bit before she decided to be social and trotted over to some of the dogs to say hello and give them as sniff. She walked all the way around the yard and hung out on the far side of the yard where all of the tall grass is to sniff through it. Whenever there was another dog near her she snuck behind them to try and sniff them without noticing, and when they turned around she continued on her way. When Paisley saw how playful some of the other dogs were she ran over and joined in for a moment then decided she didn’t feel like playing and walked right over to the pool to drink some water. Egan followed right behind her and kept her company as she was hanging around the pool. Louis walked over to the huge puddle that was made on the yard and started to splash through it. After he decided that this wasn’t enough water for him to play in he stepped right into the pool and took it over for himself to stand in and cool off. He’s so big that he can take up the entire pool! During his extra attention this morning Louis came up to the front reception to spend some time with all of us. He loves to be around everyone as we all cuddle up to him and give him lots of hugs and belly rubs. He loves one of the brushes we have here and I sat with him and brushed him as he stood beside me. He couldn’t stay still for too long though as he loved to explore and sniff around. He was so curious about everything that he saw around the room and kept on leaving my side to walk over to something and smell it. He’s such a sweet boy and we enjoy his company when he’s around. After he got tired of walking around he decided to lay down on the floor to be brushed more before heading back to his kennel. Paisley ended her afternoon with a trail walk, accompanied by Kinsey.
