Abby and Dudley were super eager to go outside this morning with their group. Even though they don’t like playing too much with the other dogs they still enjoy their company and love to socialize with them. When they first walked out the door they stayed close by and greeted everyone as they walked out. Dudley stood behind Abby as she walked over to give everyone a sniff. He would sniff them and say hi after she was done and would always follow in her footsteps. They began to walk out further into the yard when I started to, Abby followed right behind me as I walked around and when I stopped she came up by my feet and began to jump up and say hi to me all excited. I knelt down to pet her and she started to kiss my hand as she was bouncing up and down all excited. Dudley was standing by her and flopped to the ground to lay down. He stretched his legs out to indicate to me to pet his belly. I pet them for a bit until Abby wanted to go and explore more once she saw some of the other dogs head over to the grass yard and she left me to go and follow them. Dudley got up right after that to go and see her and they began to roam around the grass. They both wandered around for a while as they were sniffing around the ground and stuck together the whole time. They came back shortly after and began to pace around the gravel again when I was sitting up on the picnic table. Abby ran over to me and hopped right up to sit on my lap. She got so excited and gave me so many kisses. Dudley walked over and sat at my feet and began whining so I lifted him up and sat him right next to Abby. They sat there together and watched all of the other dogs run around the yard. Abby was getting so into it that she jumped back down to go and see them as they were running around the yard. I helped Dudley get down as well right after and he joined her to go and see the other dogs. Abby and Dudley love to snuggle during their extra attention time, especially Abby. I sat with her in the big armchair today for as long as she wanted to be pet. Dudley roamed around the room and said hello to some of his other people friends. Once Abby hopped down from my lap I went over and spent some time sitting on the floor with Dudley. He enjoyed lots of pets and showed off his big smile!
Piper and Ranger were so happy today when they got out into the yard with their group. They have opened up so much since they first came here and love to run around with the others a lot more than they used to and even initiate playing sometimes. It’s mostly Ranger that likes to play and whenever he’s in the mood he’ll run up to a dog and jump right in front of them and play bow to them to show them he wants a partner to run around with. When they first went out into the yard, Piper and Ranger took off and ran straight into the agility yard and began to do laps around the whole space. They were working off all of the energy they had in them right away and once they got it all out they slowed things down and began to explore for a while. They would run around and stop at random spots on the yard to do some sniffing around. Piper was always right behind Ranger wherever he went and if she didn’t notice him leave right away if she saw him across the yard she would stop what she was doing immediately and go chase after him. Ranger was sniffing around the outdoor kennel at one point as one of the more playful dogs came up behind him to take a look. Ranger jumped back and began to circle around the dog curiously, then he decided to take a chance and jump up on their back playfully. The dog jumped back and started to do a playful bark at Ranger and they both stayed as still as a statue when all of a sudden they both jumped up at the same time and began to run around in circles. Piper ran over from across the yard and jumped right in as well. She stayed behind Ranger as he was playing but she kept on jumping up on him to show him that she wanted to play as well. Piper waited until the perfect moment to hop in on the action, too. They ran around the yard as they chased each other but Piper always kept her distance. She stopped when she saw me walk over to them and ran up with her tongue hanging out to say hello. I gave her some cuddles as she watched them run around more. Ranger ended up getting tired out and stopped shortly after to head over to the pool. He took a sip of the water then started to wander around and explore more with Piper before heading back inside.
Max and Gracie were being so playful out in the yard today with their group. Max is such a big player and it’s his favorite thing to do while he’s out in the yard. He just loves every dog he meets and wants them to be his best friend right as he meets them. Gracie certainly likes play when the right friend comes along! She's been pretty relaxed in the yard so far during her stay, but today she was so full of beans with everyone that she couldn’t hold it in any longer and joined right in with the other dogs. When they first got outside Max stood at the door as he was bouncing around to say hello to everyone that walked out to join him, and once he had his eye on a dog that he wanted to play with he chased after them into the agility yard to try and start a game. Gracie wasn’t very playful right when she first walked out trotted into the agility yard on her own to start exploring. She paced around at first and walked over to the rocks along the fence to sniff through them. She moved around all the rocks with her nose and seemed to be so intrigued by them every time she moved a rock. Once she was done she headed over to the other side of the yard to explore around the agility tunnel, where she sniffed along the bottom of the tunnel as some of the dogs playing tag ran through it. Once she'd finished there, Gracie went off to another part of the yard to explore. Max was bouncing around all of the dogs right away and as soon as he got into the center of the yard he began to jump around everyone and say hi as he was trying to find someone to play with. Luckily for him it didn’t take long at all before he found his first playing partner. Max began to run around with a few of the dogs and he was trying so hard to keep up with them and by the time he was done running a lap around the yard he was out of breath but that didn’t stop him and he kept going since he was enjoying it so much. Shortly after it was time for a break though and he trotted over to the pool to cool right off. He took a sip of the water at first then walked in the pool and stood there as he watched everyone continue to play without him. Gracie was still wandering around and she came up to me for me to pet her as I was watching Max. When Max saw Gracie he got excited again and hopped right out of the pool to run up and see her. He was running around Gracie in circles trying to get her to play but she just didn’t seem interested until finally another of the dogs joined in and Gracie’s energy level went straight up as she started to play bow down towards Max. They began to jump around each other until finally Gracie took off and ran as fast as she could to the other end of the yard. Max and a few others chased after her as she kept on running in circles non stop. She ran through the agility tunnel each time she passed by it as well, and her and Max played together the rest of the time they were outside.
Gracie and I went for a nice long stroll around in the field this afternoon. Her nose guided us through all of the sections of the grass that Gracie found the most interesting. She stopped only to turn around and give me a big smile, inviting me to pet her. We sat on the front lawn together for a little while until it was time to head back inside. Later on, Gracie and Leah had a training session together in the reception area.
Finnigan had yet another fantastic day at daycare! He bounced out the door into the yard, ready to greet his group and find some playmates. Finnigan's eyes locked immediately on the Frisbee in my hand, and he ran over to me as fast as his legs would carry him. I threw the Frisbee for Finnigan and he bolted across the yard after it. A couple of his friends saw him run and took off after him. Once he reached the Frisbee, Finnigan noticed that there were friends watching and waiting for his next move. Instead of bringing the toy back to me, Finnigan picked it up and ran! This resulted in a game of chase, which eventually led to a wrestling match between Finnigan, Max P, Kane and Gracie. Finnigan was the centre of the group, with Max, Kane and Gracie all surrounding him in a circle. Their play was like a chain reaction; first finnigan would play-bow, then Max would nudge Kane with his bum, followed by a play-bow and bark from Gracie. The end result was a big pile of fun! Eventually Finnigan broke free from the doggy-pile and raced off, instigating a chase. His friends tore after him, and when they caught up, Finnigan started to roll around on the ground like a silly boy! The other dogs looked at him with their heads tilted, as if they weren't sure what to do next. They decided that it must be time to take a break, and each trotted off. Finnigan then hopped up and scooped up his Frisbee, happy to have it all to himself!

Sophie was feeling very relaxed when she was outside today. She was very happy when I let her out of her kennel she ran down the hall and started to bounce around the door so I could let her outside with her group. When she first got out she trotted into the agility yard with a big smile on her face as she walked all the way down to where the pool was. She began to sniff around it right away and kept on stopping to look up to watch all of the other dogs. Sophie watched them as they ran around each other in a big group and decided to head over herself to see them, when she walked over she stood there for a moment then decided to go ahead and sniff them. The others stopped playing and all walked over to say hi to Sophie as they sniffed her right back. Once they all said hi to each other they continued on playing and Sophie left to go and explore elsewhere. She walked all the way to the other end of the yard and started to exploring there. She began to sniff along the fence as she stuck her face through all of the tall grass to take a look underneath it. As she was shoving her face in the grass she started munching on it as well as she was sniffing. When she was done she continued along the fence until she made it to the middle of the yard and walked over to come and see me. Sophie came up behind me and shoved her head through my legs and opened up her mouth really wide and let out a smile. I cuddled her for a bit as she gave me lots of kisses all over my face. She watched the dogs run around more and began to get energetic again. She took off and started to run around the yard on her own as she was looking around and watching everyone. Sophie didn’t run over to the dogs playing and try to join in today but she still stayed near them to watch them as they play for entertainment. In the middle of her running around she ran over to the pool and jumped in the water as the pool was filling up. She laid down and began to roll around to try and get the top half of her body wet as well. It wasn't quite working so I walked over to her and splashed the water up on her back so she was happy. She got out a bit after that and ran over to me to shake, which got me soaking wet but ran over to give me kisses to make up for it.
Max and Sadie love Fridays, because their pals Tasha and Boris join them for group time. Max was thrilled to get into the yard and see his buddies wandering around. He instantly ran up to Boris and pounced on him. He was quickly distracted by the pool and left Boris to go for a wade around in the shallow water. Max loves splashing around, dunking his whole muzzle under when possible. When all the huskies spotted Max alone in the pool they dashed over to check him out. This got the group really excited and the games began. Max began zooming around the grassy yard, dashing left and right, pouncing on Rosie and Justice as he went along. He came across Boris on his tear across the yard and stopped in his tracks to check him out. The pair then began to wrestle and rumble all around the yard. Sadie loved watching the action but wasn’t too confident to get in on the wild shenanigans. As she was observing her friends she noticed that Justice had found a bright yellow tennis ball. To her, this was absolutely amazing. I don’t think I have every seen Sadie so darn excited. She instantly began trotting after Justice and then picked up the pace and sprinted after him as he tried to get away. The two had a good running competition around the yard, but to Sadie’s disappointment, Justice never dropped the ball once. She then head off into the yard on her own to do some exploring before meeting up with the gang to join in on wrestling and racing.
Tasha and Boris were thrilled to be here for their Friday daycare. To their surprise, they got to spend the whole morning in the playroom. The pair was thrilled to have a whole room with a couch and toys all to themselves. Boris spent a lot of time sprinting and running around Tasha, looking for her to play. She joined in for a minute but didn’t last long and had to nap to get some energy before her walk. I had a great walk with Boris, Tasha and their pal Aurora. Boris had instant zoomies with Aurora, which kept me very busy on the walk. These two were zipping around ahead of me doing circles around one another with a couple play bows and wrestles mixed in. I had these two ahead of me, and Tasha by my side trying to keep up to her pals, which made for a busy trot. Come group time the pair was ready to get going again. Boris was so excited to see all his friends that the moment he stepped out into the yard his bum tucked and he started zoomies around the yard. The whole crew tagged along in his shenanigans, creating one big husky mob. It didn’t take long for Boris to meet up with Max and Justice and begin his intense wrestling. Soon enough the pair had Boris on his back and Boris began to act all innocent. The girls were quick to get in on the action too and begin tag-teaming Boris. Boris leapt to his feet and dashed off, his whole group of friends was on his tail and began racing around with him. Tasha tried her hardest to keep up with the others, but needed to take a break and came over to me. She stood by my side watching them dart around and joined in when their games were slower. Of course, Tasha had to control Boris when he got too out of control so she would wander over to him and put a paw on him rather than pounce on him like she used to.
Pelley had another 5 star day here with us. She bee-lined it towards the pool the second she got in the yard, in hopes that it was full. Lucky her, the pool was full and ready for her to get swimming. She hopped in and lunged herself into the cool water. She had fun splashing around for a while before standing up, shaking off, and bolting in the grassy yard looking for some games. Of course Pelley found her puppy friends Vega and Joe and began darting around with them. Vega and Joe are growing bigger every day and can keep up to her no problem now. Pelley loves the competition that they bring, and strives to be at the head of the chase each and every time. At one point, Pelley had Joe following her through the tunnel and over the agility tunnel at very fast speeds. I tried to get photos but they were moving so quick. Later on Pelley was sure to meet up with her two Westie pals, Abbie and Jock. As usual Abbie and Jock were feeling extra spicy towards Pelley. This trio does a great job of getting the party started. They danced and played with their tails wagging at full speeds. Pelley even got Jock jumping over the agility jump, which was good fun to watch. Instead of jumping over the jump, Abbie would dart around and beat her pals to the front. At one point, Pelley, Abbie, Jock and both the puppies were zooming around the yard with big smiles on their faces with their ears flapping in the wind. What a great day to be a pup! Pelley was so excited to have her extra attention this morning. She ran out of her kennel and began to jump around me. When I opened the door for her to come up front with me, she ran straight down the hall and was jumping up at the next door. I lifted her up and brought her outside with me for us to hangout. When I put her on the long line she began to roam around the grass at first to check everything out and explore. She sniffed around all of the buildings and at one point she randomly got excited and started to run around in circles around the trees which got her all tangled up. When I untangled her she sat with me in the grass and I started to brush her. She sat there so perfectly as I got all of the tangles out of her hair that she managed to get from jumping in the pool out in the yard. I showed Pelley a few different toys to get her interested in playing some fetch. She sniffed them all but was much more interested in getting lots of attention instead.
Reese is such a handsome, lovely boy. I was thrilled to see him this morning and couldn’t wait to get out in the yard with him to give him some cuddles and attention. Reese was much too distracted by all his group mates and the smells in the yard to focus on me. Reese motored around the yard with his nose to the ground, doing some intense investigating of the yards. Once Reese was feeling settled in to his surroundings he met up with two other labs, Cascabelle and Timber. This trio is older but loved to goof around with one another. Reese begged and begged for me to launch the Frisbee for him but I didn’t want him running to fast so I tossed it a couple feet away instead. He was just as happy with his as he was with running far for it. After retrieving the Frisbee, he was quick to give it up to his pal Cascabelle. Reese then wandered over to the pool, where his eyes lit up and it seems that his dreams came true. He was absolutely thrilled to wade around in the pool and had the biggest smile on his face while doing so. Reese was then pleased to share the pool with his two buddies Timber and Cascabelle. It seems as though Reese spent the entire remainder of groups in the pool, hopping in and out occasionally just to come say hello to me. He is always smiling and happy making his company wonderful to have. Reese and I went out to the front yard this afternoon for some quality time together. I hooked him up to the long rope so that he could wander wherever his nose led on the front yard. Reese didn't stray far from me, though, and politely asked for some cuddles. I was happy to give him a good back scratch while we enjoyed our time in the warm afternoon sun. Reese got up a couple of times when he heard doggy friends playing in the yard, but I reassured him that he would be going to see his pals soon. It was a very relaxing time hanging out with this very sweet boy!
