Max and Sadie were both very excited as they walked outside this morning to join their group. Max was so eager to meet everyone in the yard that he would run over and jump in front of each dog to say hello. Sadie followed behind him and said hi to each of the dogs after he was done, they both had so much energy in them and they began to run around the yard almost immediately. Max ran straight into the further grass yard and started to trot around in circles to explore. Sadie stayed in the gravel yard at first and ran around for a bit but once she realized Max left her to go sniff around elsewhere she began to slow things down and took the time to do some exploring of her own. She sniffed along the bottom of the building as some of the huskies walked over to her to say hi and to keep her company. She stopped and began to sniff around them and as she was doing this they started to get playful and jumped back to play bow at her. When one of the huskies jumped back and let out a bark Max came running back over from the other yard to come and join in with them and Sadie. Max jumped up and pounced on them to turn their attention away from Sadie so they would want to play with him instead, and right as they turned to jump on Max he ran in the other direction and everyone began to follow him into the grass yard. Sadie was running as fast as she could and caught up to him right away before any of the other dogs had a chance to. She began to wrestle around on the grass with him as the other dogs ran over and crowded around them. They were barking as Max and Sadie were rolling around roughly in the grass and at one point Sadie had Max pinned to the ground as he was struggling to get free. Finally he managed to escape and he ran all the way over to the pool to cool off. He began to drink some of the water as the others chased after him but once they got their Sadie and the gang all realized that they needed to cool down as well and jumped in the pool to get wet and to have a drink. When they got back out Max went off to play more with the other dogs while Sadie headed over to the shade to lay down.

Abbie and Jock were surprisingly so eager to go out in the yard with their group today. As soon as they saw the two puppies run down the hall they jumped up off of the ground and ran straight out their kennel to see everyone outside. Jock was being so playful today which was so nice to see as he was trying to get involved in all of the playing that was going on in the yard. Abbie wasn’t as playful as Jock but after she saw him running around with everyone it really brought her spirits up more and she became more energetic to say the least. When they first went outside Jock began to chase the puppies and a couple of the other dogs further into the yard. I haven’t seen this boy run so fast in his life, he ran as fast as he could to try to catch up to them but unfortunately it still wasn’t fast enough and they did a u-turn as he was still chasing them and ran back to pass him. Jock was so out of breath as he turned around and decided to try once more to catch up. He met them over by the door as they were running around in circles trying to catch each others tails. Once Jock went up to them he began to jump up and down to get them to pay more attention to him. They were paying too much attention to each other to see Jock so he decided to go over and see what Abbie was doing. Abbie was trotting around the gravel on her own exploring. She was sniffing with her nose glued to the ground before Jock went over and distracted her. She popped her head up and gave Jock a sniff to say hello as he was following behind her tail. She then proceeded to lift her head as she looked all around the yard at the other dogs, when she noticed all of the dogs playing she decided to act like her brother and walk over to check it out and maybe play. Jock followed of course and this time when they tried to play the other dogs were all so into it. They ran in the other direction hoping Abbie and Jock would follow right behind them and they did. Jock seemed more confident this time whereas Abbie chased them for a bit then stopped because they were too far ahead of her. She gave up and let Jock run around the yard to play with them on his own. She walked back over to the door to hang out with the more quiet dogs instead.

Finnigan and Pelley were both so playful out in the yard this morning. Finnigan went out with the small dog group for a change this morning as he always gets everyone in such a playful mood and keeps them so entertained while out in the yard. I know Pelley really enjoys Finnigan’s company and as soon as they both went out in the yard Pelley ran up behind him to start playing. All of the dogs seemed to be so obsessed with Finnigan today, maybe because they aren’t used to seeing him but the energy he had was making everyone playful as well and all they wanted to do was chase after him. Pelley and Finnigan started up a game of tag right away and they ran as fast as they could into the other yard as the puppies and a couple of the other dogs followed them. Finnigan was teasing everyone by jumping from one side of the agility yard to the other side. Pelley got fed up and decided to just run around to surprise him from behind but Finnigan noticed as she was coming over and bolted back into the other yard. Everyone seemed to be tired and needed a break so Finnigan decided to walk around and explore for a bit as Pelley did the same. Pelley walked over to go and socialize with some of the more quiet dogs by the door. She walked up to each of them to give them each a sniff as they smelled her in return. She then watched Finnigan from a distance as he made his way over to the picnic table with one of the puppies. They were jumping all over his back as he was trying to stick his head underneath the table to sniff around. They were making it so difficult for him to get underneath so he gave up and jumped up and started to play again. He ran over to the pool as Pelley was watching him and ran over to join him. Finnigan jumped right in and laid down and she began to take a few sips of the water. Once he moved over to make some room for her she jumped in as well as they both laid down and got their entire body wet. When Finnigan jumped back out he ran over to the grass and began to roll around in the grass as a method to dry off faster. For Pelley’s extra attention this morning she walked up to the front reception with me and spent some time there with some of our people friends. She began to sniff around the room at first to check everything out. Every time a new person walked in the room she began to get so excited and would jump all over them until they pet her. I sat on the floor as she came in between my legs for some cuddles. She sat down pretty as I took out some treats and stayed sitting for me until I gave her one. After spending some time inside I walked outside with her to roam around a little bit. I walked her up and down the driveway as she sniffed around the grass to explore before going back inside.

Piper and Ranger are two bundles of love. Today they were so excited to get going on their walk, accompanied by Adele, a lovely bloodhound. These three made for a very nice walk. They were all focused on walking ahead, with their nosed to the ground. Every once in a while Piper and Ranger would stray away from the path and saunter into the long grass to do some brief exploring. It wouldn’t take them long to make their way back to one another at the end of the leashes and continue motoring ahead. In the yard, the pair was keen to sniff and explore. They love having all the space in the agility yard to investigate and roam. When their pal Rupert joined in the group they began dancing around with him. Ranger is always running along side Piper and they are constantly smiling. Piper darted around with Rupert for a little bit with her brother on her tail. The duo followed Rupert all around the yard, until he hopped in the pool, then they strayed off. As much as they like to goof around they definitely aren’t water dogs J.

Max had oodles of fun the yard today. He was thrilled to head out the doors and spot the pool filling up. To no ones surprise, he instantly leapt in and began splashing around. Max loves to stick his whole muzzle under the water, and blow bubbles. He waded around in circles for a while until his group mate. Tigger, showed interest in him. Max wasn’t too sure at first, however after some convincing he leapt out of the pool and sniffed Tigger over. After getting familiarized with one another, the pair began to goof around. Tigger got the games going by play bowing to Max then leaping right on him. Max wasn’t sure what to think at first, so he darted off. Tigger chased after him and Max seemed pleased to have a playmate. Max then turned around and jumped onto Tigger, asking for him to keep playing. The pair danced around for a while, body bumping and chasing one another. After a good round of games, Max made his way back to the pool to cool off. Tigger followed Max into the pool and the pair hung out side by side in the nice fresh water. Just before it was time to head back indoors Max came over to my side and sat net to me looking for some pets and cuddles. He was very happy to receive a good scratch behind his ears and some nice pats down his sides.

Abby and Dudley are sweet as can be. They were so excited to come up front and hang out with me one on one this morning. The pair bolted down the hallway moving their little legs as fast as they could. The moment they got up front Abby assumed her favourite position in the comfy chair. Dudley did lots of circles around the reception area, checking everything out, before settling down for some love and attention. Abby thoroughly enjoys sitting on maps and giving kisses while Dudley is happier to relax by your side accepting pats and cuddles. After bundles of cuddles the pair head back to their kennel for a snooze before their mid morning outing. In the yard today there were so many smells that Dudley and Abby had to check out before saying hello to myself and their other friends. After some serious investigating Abby made her way over to me and hopped up onto my lap. We basked in the sun for a while, enjoying one another’s company. She spotted her pals roaming around in the gravel yard so she left my side to hang out with them. Meanwhile, Dudley was goofing around with Casper the cocker spaniel. Dudley met up with him in the grass yard and these two boys really hit it off. They loved bumping into one another and then play bowing and zooming in circles. Casper politely asked Dudley to box but Dudley declined as he would much rather zip and zoom around the yard. Casper was just as pleased to do this, so the pair danced around with one another for quite some time before Ringo, another cocker spaniel, joined in and said hello. This trio then walked in circles sniffing one another over and over again. Dudley decided to lead the trio over to the tunnel where he tried to get the games going again. His friends weren’t to keen on continuing playing so Dudley made his way over to me for some pets and cuddles instead. Right before we head to the front door to head back indoors, Abby decided to leap in the pool and cool off. Abby loves wading around in the shallow water on a hot day to cool her down and stay refreshed. Dudley hung out on the edge of the pool watching his sister but didn’t dare to jump in.
