Max and Sadie were absolutely thrilled to be back after their week and a half off. The minute they spotted me entering the back playroom with leashes in hand they began singing as loud as possible with excitement. Max was bouncing off the walls until I asked him to sit and he listened like an angel. He sat with his tail wagging a million miles an hour waiting for his turn to be hooked up to a leash. Meanwhile, Sadie was wiggling her way in and out of my legs as I tried to get her collar in my hand to clip her up. After a bit of preparation we were finally ready to set out on the trail. These two had their noses to the ground for the entire walk picking up on all the smells that they had missed out on. By the time groups rolled around they were just as excited as they were for their walk this morning. Max and Sadie went bounding out their door into the yard with the biggest smiles on their faces. Sadie was thrilled to see her husky friends and Max shared these feelings. They wiggled their way from dog to dog saying all their hellos. After greeting all their friends they spent some time with their noses to the ground investigating their yard. After a couple minutes of sniffing and exploring the games began. As usual, Max met up with the husky girls and danced around with them like the flirt he is. It didn’t take long for Justice to join in on the games. Their giant swarm of playing got Sadie’s attention and all of the dogs had a blast wrestling and sprinting around. I loved watching Max fly over the tunnel after Rosie. Max can be very agile. Sadie was pleased to sprint around in circles with Justice and Kyah, which tired her out. She was so excited to wander over to me and accept some good pets and cuddles. After endless amounts of racing, wrestling, and boxing, Max and Sadie were pooped. Sadie relaxed in the yard catching her breathe while Max hung out with me on the picnic table accepting some scratches and cuddles before it was time to head back indoors.

I can’t get enough of Pelley; she is the life of the party that’s for sure. Pelley has the loveliest personality, making her an absolute wonderful addition to our small dog group. The minute I opened her kennel for her mid morning play session she bolted down the hall and out the door. The minute she got out into the yard she darted into the grass yard peering over her shoulder checking to make sure she had friends following her. To Pelleys surprise, she had two new additions to her playgroup today; Vega and Joe, two puppy Siberian huskies. Pelley was so fascinated with them at first. She slowly approached them and sniffed them overhead to toe. Vega and Joe weren’t too sure of her intentions at first, but the moment she play bowed to Vega the games began. Pelley began sprinting full speed in loops around the agility tunnel with the biggest smile on her face looking for a chase. Vega was more than happy to dart after her. They did loops and loops of the agility tunnel, which drew the attention of their other group mates. It didn’t take long for Pelleys pals Abbie and Jock to join in the shenanigans. Jake the mini doodle was also intrigued by Pelley’s crazy games. This group of 5 had a ball sprinting and pouncing with one another. After a large amount of running Pelley was very keen to make her way over to the pool to cool off. Without any surprise she leaped in and completely submerged herself. Her pals stood on the outside of the pool slurping up the water while she took a full on bath. She was so happy with herself that she bounded out of the pool and didn’t even shake off before beginning some more running around. She looped around the yard with puppies Joe and Vega, dripping wet. I had such a laugh at their games on the picnic table. Pelley is such a great girl, we really enjoy having her.

Abbie and Jock had another stellar day with us. These two love having Pelley, the fox terrier, in their group. She really gets them moving. Abbie and Jock started off by sniffing and exploring. Jock was very focused on the fresh cut grass while the puppies occupied Abbie. She followed them around for a bit until I finally enticed she and her brother to get moving. As soon as they noticed Pelley bolting around like a flash of lightening in the grass yard they both came prancing over to join in. Abbie did some sniffing of Pelley with her tail wagging very fast and then began hopping around her. Jock wasn’t as formal; he instantly pounced on her then darted off looking for a chase. To Jocks surprise, Pelley was right on his tail. Of course Abbie joined in on her brothers shenanigans and the three of them ran around the yard moving their little legs as fast as possible. Soon enough Vega and Joe the Siberian husky puppies were in on the games too. At this time Jock decided to distance him from the fun as the puppies are a little too immature for him. He head over to the pool to cool off and his sister Abbie followed him. After grabbing a drink they head back into the grass yard to catch up with Pelley who was now running around with Jake. As soon as they got into the grass yard, Pelley lead her friends over to the picnic table where Abbie was keen to go. Pelley and Abbie had fun playing around on the picnic table with one of the puppies Joe, before it was time to head back inside.

Bella and Jake were pretty excited to be here for daycare today. They started their morning off with a nice trot along the trail with Syarah. They had a little snooze before it was time for their group outing, so they were full of energy and ready to go. The moment we got in the yard both Bella and Jake were leaping all over me looking for some kisses and cuddles. As I knelt down, the pair leapt right onto me knocking me on my bum. There wasn’t much I could do so I just sat there accepting all the kisses they had to offer. After some good attention Jake went bounding off into the yard to check out what his group mates were up to. Jake was thrilled to see that he had some energetic dogs outdoors with him. It didn’t take any convincing at all for Jake to join in on the games. He absolutely loved sprinting around with Pelley the fox terrier as well as our two puppies; Vega and Joe. After a bit of playing with the group, Jake decided that Joe was his favourite and broke out of the group play to fool around one on one with Joe. These two were so cute darting around the yard together. Joe kept leaping on rocks and on the picnic table to dodge Jake but Jake didn’t let him go that easy. They ended up racing around for so long that all their other friends left their games to join in on theirs. After loads of running, Jake wandered back into the gravel yard where he met up with his sister. Bella spent most of her time outdoors sniffing and exploring. She was happy to have my attention and receive lots of attention while her group mates were goofing around.

Hobart and I enjoyed a nice walk with Stella, a German shepherd. Hobart seemed to really enjoy the cooler weather on our walk. He was much friskier than usual, bouncing around with Stella as she asked to play. At one point these two were bounding in circles around me as I held their leashes over my head, acting like a windmill. Once they finally settled we went back to walking along the trail. Hobart became very focused on all the smells in the long grass. He spent the entire walk in the longer grass to the side rather than ahead of me on the trail. Hobart was pretty mellow in the yard today. He sauntered out into the agility yard when he first went outdoors to do some sniffing. He then made his way to my side where he gladly accepted some nice pats on the side and scratches behind the ears. After his cuddles he did some more exploring. He was content with all his findings and head back to the gravel yard where he hung out with some of his calmer friends until it was time to head indoors.

Keeva can be such a chatty lady, which keeps me on my toes in the yard. Today we had some in the yard training going on which was a big distraction for Keeva. She wasn’t sure what to do with another human in the yard as well as a dog on a leash. After showing her toys she wanted to play games which got her a bit distracted from Susan, training Stella. She sure knows how to convince me to play never ending fetch with her. She was happy to be accompanied by a lab that also loved to play fetch. When there is competition in the yard Keeva is always on her toes ready to get moving. Today Keeva couldn’t fully settle on a toy to play with. We had the usual blue Frisbee in the yard, but today there was another treasure, which she was very fascinated by, a blue rubber bone. She really liked the rubber bone since it was very soft and chewy, however it didn’t quite meet her needs for fetch since it didn’t travel as far as the Frisbee. Since she had some friendly competition, I found myself alternating between toys to give both the girls an opportunity to retrieve one. After numerous rounds, Keeva finally settled down with the blue bone. She relaxed in the yard, holding it between her paws, gnawing on it. She loved to suck and chew on this toy, which kept her very occupied.

Kenzie and Kodi are so cute and loving. I couldn’t get over how soft this pair is. I loved cuddling into them, and they were happy to get some extra loving as well. They started their morning off with a nice walk along the trail with Susan. A morning walk is a great way to settle them in and feel comfortable with their surroundings. After their walk they were happy to get back to their kennel where they snoozed, patiently awaiting their next outing. For their first group outing we had them out with a small group of very easygoing dogs to see how they would do. The minute the pair got into the yard, Kodi met up with Finnigan, and the games began. I was so thrilled to watch Kodi come out of his shell and have the time of his live with Finn, a young labradoodle. Kodi and Finnigan wrestled around for ages, gnawing on one another’s long fur and flailing their limbs about. These two are a match made in heaven. Their fun and games continued when Finn quickly stood up from their wrestling and darted across the yard. Kodi didn’t think twice before bounding after him. Finnigan is smaller than Kodi so it didn’t take long for Kodi to get in the lead with his big long legs. Finnigan accepted the challenge and really picked up the pace to catch up. These two were sprinting around and around and around, non-stop, until finally Finnigan stopped and rolled on his back. Kodi was happy to pause from the racing to begin yet another wrestling matches. Finally the pair stopped, and stood still, trying to catch there breathe. Kodi slowly made his way over to the one, single, puddle we had in the yard from the hose. I thought he was just going to walk through it, but to my surprise he instantly lay down. I stood there in shock as he began to roll around in it. Finnigan loved that he was being so silly in the mud and began pouncing all around him. There was no way to keep Kodi clean at this point so I just let these boys continue their dirty fun until it was time to head indoors. Throughout the entire group time Kenzie was a very relaxed, calm girl. She hung out by my side accepting all the pets and cuddles I had to offer. She loved watching her brother run around like a crazy man, but didn’t show any interest in joining in on his shenanigans. Every once in a while she would run along by his side, but quickly dart out of the game before it got too intense. Overall, I was very pleased with Kenzie and Kodis first day. They are both lovely dogs and we look forward to having them back!

Bella was just as pleased to see me this week and she was last week. I made sure to bring one cookie in my pocket, just for her, as we went into the yard. After her friends dispersed, I snuck her the cookie, ensuring no else one would see. Bella was very happy to have me on her side, and munched on the treat until every crumb was gone. Bella started off by slowly exploring the yard. She really wanted to make sure she picked up every smell that had developed since last week. After doing her once over of the yard, Bella made her way to her two crazy group mates; Finnigan and Kodi, to see what they were up to. Finn was very welcoming and instantly jumped all over Bella. Bella definitely wasn’t too sure about his puppy energy and quickly backed off. She head over to my side as if she were telling me how crazy they were. I gave her some good pets and cuddle which she was very pleased about. She then slowly made her way back over to Kodi and Finn and briefly joined in on a race around the yard. After her spurt of energy, Bella decided to check out Kenzie and Merida, two calmer dogs. She then spent the remainder of her outdoor time sniffing and exploring.

Stella and I had a great walk this morning with her pal, Hobart. I was very pleased when Stella began flirting with Hobart. It is nice to see her find a good buddy. She did some tail wagging, and brushed herself against his side. Hobart is usually a quieter guy but for some reason he was in the mood to fool around with Stella. These two galloped around me, while on leash, until I asked them to settle down. Stella was a very good girl and retreated back to my side, we then continued our walk. She had her nose to the ground for the remainder of the walk, which kept her very busy.

Abby & Dudley have certainly figured out where to go for their extra attention. As soon as I opened their kennel door they headed straight up front. They explored around the room together for a few moments before finding a lap to snuggle up in. Abby being the wiggle worm she is couldn't sit still for long and was soon back to exploring around the room and trying to get up in to Kinsey's lap. She cuddled wih Kinsey for awhile before again wanting down to see what else she could find. Silly girl climbed up onto the chair and right up onto the desk. Dudley on the otherhand was quite content to sit in my lap and quietly investigate behind the desk before anyone noticed. It was soon their little friend Samson's turn up front so they headed back to their kennel before heading outside for groups. Abby and Dudley both ran out the door this morning to join their group outside in the small dog yard. They both waited on the step for me as I was coming outside to join everyone, as soon as I got out there Abby began to run to the other side of the yard in the direction that I was headed while Dudley stayed by my side and was circling around my feet as I was walking. These two both love attention and whenever they aren’t hanging around with me they are wandering around the yard trying to get the other dogs to hang out with them instead. They usually come sit up on the picnic table with me right away except today they wanted to walk around the yard and explore at first. Abby made her way over to the end of the gravel yard where she started to sniff along the fence, she loved to smell all of the grass and sometimes even munched on it if it smelt good enough to her. Dudley roamed around where all of the dogs were. He was looking all around the yard with his head to the sky watching everyone. He decided to walk over to a few of the dogs that were near him who were exploring also and say hello. They began to sniff each other as Abby trotted over to Dudley to see what everyone was doing. Abby likes to stay right by Dudley’s side and never leaves him for too long. Abby said hi to the same dog’s right after Dudley was done sniffing them all then they both took off to continue to explore. Abby saw me on the picnic table and decided it was finally time to come over and see me. All of a sudden she got a burst of energy and she ran up to me and hopped up on the step then up to the top of the table to sit beside me. She started giving me lots of kisses as she was trying to climb up my body to reach my face, once I began to pet her she relaxed and got comfy beside me. Dudley soon came over as well and I helped him up to the top of the picnic table to sit with Abby. He laid down and relaxed right away as I pet them both.

Louis was very eager to go outside in the yard this morning. He was already up out of his bed and waiting at his kennel door to join the other dogs in his group outside. Once he walked out the door he kept on walking all the way into the agility yard to begin to explore. Louis loves to explore and sniff around, so that’s all he does the entire time he’s outside. He occasionally goes up to some of the dogs and says hello but he always continues on his way. When he first began to walk around he walked all the way over to the end of the agility yard where he started to sniff all through the tall grass. Louis loves to stick his face in it and start to dig so he can see what’s in it. He made his way along the fence near the middle of the yard where he began to sniff along the rocks, he took his time and tried to smell each rock, whenever there was grass sticking out where he was smelling he would slowly munch on it too. He liked to keep our yard where clean. When he was done sniffing around he made his way over to the middle of the yard to where all of the other dogs were. Some of the dogs were wrestling around him and bumped into Louis as they were playing. Louis jumped back and walked over to them again and started to smell them, but the other dogs were so into their game that they didn’t notice Louis being there. He watched them all as they ran around to play and circled around them slowly. I walked over to him to give him some cuddles as he was walking before he made his way back over to the door to hangout. Louis and I had his extra attention a little later than normal today. He joined me upfront to get a nice rub down with the Zoom Groom. Louis enjoyed this standing as still as could be, when he was ready to be finished with the brushing her mosied around the room peering out the windows to see what was going on out front. Since he seemed to interested with going outside I clipped a leash on to him and we went for a little stroll around the field. He sniffed around in the long grass enjoying the cool air of the evening. We headed back inside to get a good relaxing massage before bedtime. Before heading back to his kennel I let Louis wander around the recpetion while I finished up a few things. While writing this he strolled up behind me and hung his big head over my shoulder!

Piper and Ranger are both so adorable together. They always have such a smile on their faces and light up the room whenever you see them. I don’t think they stopped smiling the entire time we were outside for their group. When I opened up their kennel they ran straight out the door and started to run big circles around the whole yard together. They were trying to work off some of that energy they had inside of them and didn’t stop running until all of the others made their way out in the yard as well. Ranger got excited as he saw the other dogs run over into the middle of the yard and ran up to them to say hi. Piper ran straight to me and started to bounce around me in circles with excitement. I began to pet her and she got even more excited and began to jump up to give me kisses. Ranger saw as he was sniffing around a big group of dogs and came over to get some love as well, he must have been feeling left out. As soon as the other dogs began to wrestle and play tag both Ranger and Piper left my side to go and run around with them. Ranger began to bounce around with max who is just a ball of energy. Ranger was feeding off of his energy and getting more hyper as Max was trying to play with him, they began to chase each other around the yard as Piper followed behind them eager to catch up. They ran around most of the time they were outside then once they finally began to get tired they stopped to start exploring around the grass. They began to sniff up and down the fence while they stuck together side by side.

Max and Sophie are both so much fun when they're outside with the other dogs. They both love to play and are always in such a good mood. Neither of them could stop smiling when they were outside which brought a little smile to my face to see how much they were enjoying themselves. Max ran through a pack of dogs and made his way out into the yard ahead of everyone, while Sophie trotted behind slowly and followed them into the agility yard. At first Sophie started to explore along the fence and sniffed all of the small rocks that were put along the bottom of it. She smelled each one carefully as she moved onto the next. Max immediately ran to the other end of the agility yard and started to roam around in circles to do his business as fast as he could before going to play with the other dogs, he didn’t want to waste one minute and ran up to them as soon as he finished to see who wanted to play first. He ran right up to the big group of dogs and began to smell everyone. When he got to Ranger he started to get excited and bounce around him to show him that he wanted to play. Ranger did the same then play bowed down to him to tell Max that he was about to run. Right as he did this Max froze in his spot then began to chase Ranger as fast as he could around the yard as a couple of the other dogs chased him as well. When Sophie was done exploring she ran right up to me and stuck her face between my legs to be pet. She wanted so many cuddles and once I started to pet her she began to calm down and get more relaxed. Once I started to walk away Sophie began to bark for me to come back so I ran back to her and she stuck right by my side until she began to watch Max and the others play. She became intrigued by them and left me to go and run over and check out what’s going on. She began to bounce around them and bark at them as they were wrestling. The other dogs ignored her and kept playing until Max got up and started to paw at Sophie to play. Sophie jumped up and bounced on Max’s back to show him she wanted to play as well. He then took off and started to run around the yard as she chased after him playfully. She didn’t play with him for too much longer but continued to run around in circles to work off all of her energy. Max didn’t stop playing until it was time to go inside and played with each of the dogs in his group.
