Reese had a fantastic day today. When I went to get him for his group, Reese ran around his kennel, excited to see his walking buddies. As I opened the door for everyone, of course Reese was the first one outside, but he did wait for all of his pals to catch up to him. After running through the yards, when Reese got to the field he trotted along side me, with his nose to the ground and tail in the air. As we made our way through the field Reese made sure to stop a few times to smells all the fresh flowers and some hay that was in the field. When we got back to his kennel Reese walked in and went over to his bed for a much-needed rest, until it was time to go out again. When group time rolled around Reese was so eager to get to spent some time with his pals. As soon as I let him outside, he gave everyone a good sniff, then ran around the yard. While he ran around one of his pals caught his eye and they took off running together over to me. One they got to me Reese kindly told his pal that he no longer wanted to run around and that he wanted a few cuddles from me, so I gave him a few pets and kisses. Before it was time to go back inside, Reese ran around the yard a few more times, and gave everything a good sniff. For his extra attention today we spent some time cuddling up front, and then we went outside for a little walk. After we came back inside I gave Reese a few of his treat in return for a sit, paw and lie down. After a few more treats Reese and I cuddled for a little while longer before it was time for him to go back to his kennel.

Dudley and Abby are loving staying with us when their parents are out of town. For their group today, Dudley and Abby couldn’t wait to get outside. When I opened the door Dudley ran out as fast as he could, but he waited at the door for Abby to catch up before they ran around the yard together. While they ran through the yard Abby stopped to snatch up a few pieces of grass while Dudley went to sniffing around the rocks and boulders. After tasting some grass Abby ran over to me and sat up on my lap, while Dudley ran happily around the yard. After getting some cuddles Abby jumped off my lap to go chase Dudley around the yard for a bit. Before it was time to go back inside, the pair came over to me for a few cuddles and kisses. Abby and Dudley were super excited for their extra attention today! The two of them raced out of their kennel and hurried to the playroom, saying hello to staff members as they went. They immediately set out to explore the room while I grabbed the camera, and when I walked in with them, the two barreled over and starting bouncing around to say hello. Abby was full of energy and could hardly sit still while I was petting her. Dudley, on the other hand, was happy to cuddle up next to me for a scratch behind the ears. I rolled a Kong around on the ground for them and Abby chased after it, although neither of them really wanted to play with the toys so we went back to cuddling and exploring the room. Abby got a sudden burst of energy and started running in circles. Soon Dudley was chasing after her. They both raced around and then Dudley began rolling on the ground while Abby climbed on top of him. Eventually they settled down again and I sat on the floor with them, as Abby climbed into my lap, searching for attention. Dudley rolled around a bit longer and then came over and lay on top of my feet while I was petting him. What a cute pair!

Pelley wasted no time racing up to the playroom for her extra attention after walks today. She immediately started running around the room, trying to see everything at once. The table and couch were quite interesting, so she spent some time sniffing them over. Pelley hopped up onto the couch and stuck her nose in every crevice she could find, looking for treats. Unfortunately the only thing that she discovered was dog hair. I snuck out to grab some treats for her and when I got back, she seemed to know exactly where I had gone. I had her sit for a few treats and then Pelley wandered off again to continue exploring while I pet her and took pictures. She wanted to look out the window and was just barely tall enough to see outside, so I picked her up and held her for a bit while she observed the yard. Pelley enjoyed a couple more treats and a nice back rub before we headed back to her kennel, so that she could rest before groups. When it was time to go out for her group, Pelley jumped for joy as she saw her friends running down the hall, and as soon as I opened her kennel door she ran along with her friends to the open door and ran outside. After saying hello to everyone Pelley ran around the yard excited to be out with all her pals. Once she had burned off all her extra energy Pelley came over to me for a few cuddles and kisses, but then went on the play with Joe and Vega for a few minutes. After playing around with the pups for a bit, Pelley discovered that she was tired, and came over to sit with me until it was time to go back inside.

Ranger and Piper enjoyed a lovely walk this morning and were making their way down the trail with their heads up, basking in the sun as they walked. After walks, the two of them were bouncing around with excitement when I came to get them for their turn in the yard. They raced outside with their friend Maggie and were happily greeted by a few more energetic dogs. Piper is hardly shy in the yard now and she was racing around to say hello to everybody; she bumped into Dushka and play-bowed in front of her, but before the two of them started playing, Piper was running away again. She settled down eventually and decided to wander around the yard and have a sniff with her friend Max. I was taking pictures nearby, and as soon as Piper noticed me she trotted over for some cuddles. I gave her a nice scratch behind the ear while we watched Ranger explore the yard. It was quite sunny and warm out today, and occasionally Ranger would pause and lift his nose to enjoy the weather. He went back to sniffing around and Piper hurried over to cheer on Riley and Dushka while they wrestled with each other. A little while later, Ranger ended up beside me and we cuddled together, until Piper saw this and got jealous. I had them both sit in front of me for a picture and then spent some time petting them. Then Ranger went to continue his exploration of the yard, occasionally sitting down to observe the other dogs, and he must have found something interesting to smell in the grass. Piper headed back to bounce around with Dushka. Seeing that they were both enjoying themselves, I went to go see what the rest of the group was up to. Only a few minutes later and I turned around to find Piper sitting like an angel and waiting for some attention. We cuddled until it was time to go in.

Max P. is always a fun dog to have in the yard. He started the day with a nice walk and then happily headed to the agility yard for group time. There must have been some interesting scents in the grass today because Max and a few others spent a while sniffing around. He seemed to enjoy the fence and took his time nosing around in the rocks, and then Max trotted over to see what the other dogs were up to. He wasn't sure if he was in the mood to play today, but was content to watch while Riley, Dushka and Gracie ran around together. Occasionally, if they got close enough to him, Max would pretend to pounce on one of them and then he would get so excited, jumping up and down while they raced in circles. Eventually the dogs slowed down for a breather and Max wandered over to see what I was up to. He checked my pockets for treats; unfortunately, I didn't have any goodies for him, though he was happy to cuddle instead. Max sat down beside me and happily soaked up the attention. After a while, once the dogs were rested, Gracie and Dushka started to run around again, and this caught Max's interest. He trotted in their direction and was intercepted by Riley. The boys proceeded to wrestle and chase each other around for a while, and then the group settled down again and went to sniff around for a bit. For Max's extra attention today, he seemed to be bursting with energy so I decided to take him outside for a stroll and let him sniff around. He was trotting back and forth trying to sniff everything. I had him sit nicely for some pictures, and then Max decided that he was comfy, and lay down to enjoy the nice weather. After a short wander through the grass, we headed to the lounge, where I let Max off his leash to explore the new room. He followed his nose wherever it took him and hardly seemed to notice the obstacles in his path - he just climbed over the cot and the couch without even hesitating. Then Max sat down on the couch while I cuddled with him for a bit. I pulled some treats out of my pocket and Max quickly leaped off the couch, sitting down and waiting patiently for his reward. I spent a few more minutes petting him and then we headed back inside.

Gracie seemed to be in quite the good mood today. She was trotting along happily on her walk and was looking forwards to her extra attention afterwards. After all of that, Gracie was still very excited to get out into the yards for group time. She hurried out the door with the other dogs and made her rounds saying hello to everyone. Once the rest of the group had been greeted, Gracie wandered over to see if I would pet her. Of course I was delighted to cuddle with her and spent some time giving her a nice back rub before Gracie decided to explore the yard for a bit. She jogged around with her nose in the grass, and every once in a while she would stop and lift her head to enjoy the breeze. During her exploration, Gracie ran into Dushka, who wasted no time play-bowing for Gracie. The two of them started to wrestle and bounce around. They put their front paws on each other and the girls danced around for a bit until one of them lost their balance. Dushka ended up laying on the ground while Gracie pretended to chew on her feet, and then Gracie flopped over on the ground also and they just rolled around together. Then Riley came hurtling over and jumped right into the middle, so Gracie quickly leaped to her feet and ran to the tunnel with the other two close on her heels. She decided to claim the tunnel as her own and sat at the entrance, playfully defending it from Dushka and Riley for the rest of group time. Gracie loves getting to spend some time with us for her extra attention; today we were out in the lounge. When we got to the lounge Gracie ran over to the cot and placed for me while I got her a treat. After I rewarded her Gracie and I sat on the couch and cuddles for a few minutes. After cuddling, Gracie decided she wanted to show off some tricks for treats. She showed me how well she can sit, lie down, place, catch, fetch, roll over, and give a paw. After getting a few more treats Gracie came back over to me for a few more cuddles before she went back to her kennel.
