George and Titan had another wonderful day today. The two of them were so very excited to get outside for their morning outing. As soon as I saw them I could see Titan wagging his little tail and waiting patiently at his kennel door to come out. George was still in mid snooze when I came to get him so I gave him a little belly rub to wake him up and get him moving. Soon enough he was up and ready to take on the day. When it came to their morning walk, the two boys were both quite sleepy. Titan went for a pretty fast paced walk with a couple of new friends while George got a one-on-one walk with one of the girls here this morning. Titan was very excited for his walk as soon as he got outside. He quickly greeted his new friends but was more focused on the walk. Titan spent most of his walk time with his nose right on the ground and sniffing about. George seemed to enjoy his slower one-on-one walk. As soon as he got outside he took in the fresh summer air and continued to trot along the trail. He couldn't seem to make up his mind as he kept walking to the end of his leash then back as he was sniffing the ground. He spent some extra time in the long grass as well. George and Titan were in the same group today for their outdoor play time. They were both, once again, sleeping when I went to get them but soon enough they were up and ready to go. Titan trotted outside and did a quick few laps around the yard before deciding what he wanted to do. He ended up follow a few of his old friends around the yard before settling into the pool with George. Both George and Titan sat in the pool for quite some time before getting out to do their rounds of the yard once again. George ended his group by coming to see me and getting a head/ back scratch while Titan continued to roam around the yard. George, Titan and I headed up to the playroom after walks for their extra attention. Both of the boys were super excited and could hardly wait for me to get them from their kennel; they knew exactly what time it was. Titan went racing to the playroom while George and I followed at a more reasonable pace. He then proceeded to jog a quick lap of the room, eventually slowing down to sniff things. George made his way to the couch and poked his nose in every crevice, looking for something interesting. He then wandered in my direction, while I was taking pictures of Titan trotting around, and poked my hand with his nose to get my attention. I was kept busy cuddling George, and Titan was also very busy exploring the room. He bounced on the couch, sniffed around and then wandered over to the other side of the room. There he discovered the bucket of toys in the corner and immediately poked his head inside, searching for something good to chew on, although he couldn’t quite reach the toys at the bottom of it so I went over to help him out. First I showed him a Kong, which he happily sniffed and nosed around for a bit, and then he went back to looking in the bin. I pulled out a bone and this seemed to be much more to Titan’s taste. He carried it a few feet away and settled down to chew it. George gave me a lick on the fingers and then ambled over to the couch, so I followed after him. He jumped up and curled himself in a ball, ready to nap. I sat down with him and gave him a nice back rub while Titan was entertaining himself with his bone. Titan then trotted over for some attention of his own before we headed back to their kennel.
Ferdinand and Archie are having a terrific stay with us here at Tails & Trails. When I went into the cat room to spend some time with them, the boys were both busy taking a nap. When I opened their condo doors the boys got up with a lazy stretch and yawn to come out and explore. Upon exploring the boys met some other kitty friends, Tippy, Cleo and Rev but they were mostly interested in climbing up the cat tree. As they climbed the cat tree together Ferdinand stretched his paws to the top of the scratching post and enjoyed a nice long scratch while Archie explore the cube that’s in the cat tree. After investigating the cat tree the boys decided to wander back to their kennel for some more naptime.
Cleo and Rev really enjoyed their last day of their vacation with us. When I got to the cat room Rev let out a meow as I opened her condo door so we could spend some time together. While I got Cleo, Rev went over to have a few scratches at the cat tree soon to be joined by Cleo. Not long after their kitten friend Tippy wanted to come out to say hello, so I let Tippy out and the three of them wandered around the room together. While Tippy showed the pair all the cool things that kittens can do, Rev and Cleo eventually got tired of watching him and decided to go explore the cat tree for the rest of the day.

Max E. and Koda were a little dynamic duo today. The two
boys were alike in so many ways it was like they were brothers. This morning
Koda was very excited to go for his morning walk. As soon as I went to grab him
out of his kennel he got so rambunctious that he was jumping all over his
kennel, bouncing off if the walls and he was even so excited that he bounced
right into his water while spilling it everywhere. Max was just as excited as
well. Although he wasn't bouncing around his kennel, his little bum and tail
were both wagging as fast as they possibly could. The two of them were on
separate walks this morning but they each happened to be on very fast paced and
exciting walks. Max E. took into the field with two of his close friends beside
him. As soon as he saw them in the yard he became ecstatic to be with them and
started bouncing around the two of them. Soon enough he was once again ready to
go on his walk and darting to the end of his leash. He seemed to remain there
for the most part of his walk but would still come back to see me occasionally
for a quick pet on the head. Koda took off for his walk as soon as he got the
chance to, running to the end of his leash and hardly paying attention to who
he was walking with. He loved playing with me as much as he could and was
constantly running back to say hi and pounce all over me. He did however enjoy
racing to the end of his leash and trying to go as fast as he possibly could. During
their outdoor play group the two boys were so excited to get the chance to play
with each other. Max E. raced out into the yard to find a patiently waiting
Koda already outside. As soon as they saw each other it was immediately play time
as the boys raced around the yard together. They absolutely loved doing so many
activities together while in the yard. Koda had quite the habit of chasing Max around
the yard as fast as they could go. Eventually they’d stop to have a drink and
swim in the pool but they’d always come out after a little bit and continue to
play. Max had found a rope toy in the yard and as soon as Koda saw him and me playing
with it, he just had to join! This led to a very cute game of tug-of-war
between the two of them. Eventually they finally split up and did their own
things. Max remained with me and played with the rope toy for quite some time
longer. He loved getting some extra attention and a ton of belly rubs. Koda
played with our huskies for the most part. He found another perfect play friend
in our girl Magic. The two of them have the exact same play style so it worked
out very well. It was all sprinting and tackling for the rest of their group!
Paisley seems to be very much enjoying any second she spends outside. When I went to get her for her walk, Paisley's paws pranced with excitement as I hooked her up to her leash. As we made our way down the hall, Paisley made sure to be the first one out the door. When we made our way through the yards, Paisley took some extra time to sniff around and smell out all the dogs that have been there since she had last been out. Well we made our way through the field Paisley's paws lifted high as she felt the morning dew run through her hair, however she seems to quite enjoy walking with her friends. As we made our way back to her kennel, Paisley seemed very happy to be getting down for a little nap. When it was time to go outside, Paisley once again make sure to be the first one out the door and he bolted through the yards trying to see if there's anything new and exciting outside. Paisley did a few rounds of the yards, inspecting the scents on the ground and greeting the other dogs. Paisley decided to watch her friends chase each other around the yard, following the excitement closely as the other dogs zipped by. As group time came to an end, Paisley came over for some cuddles before it was time to go back inside.
Poppy is really enjoying her stay with us. She loves spending time with all of her friends. It was time to go out for her walk Poppy jumped for joy as she saw that I had leashes in my hand. As we made our way through the hall Poppy said a quick hello to all of her friends but was mainly focused on getting out for her walk. As we made our way through the yard Poppy saw that a few of her friends were already in the field walking, so she quickly ran over to the trail to see if she can catch up with her friends. Throughout our walk poppy mainly spent her time sniffing through the field however she did find a great place to stop and have a quick roll around. When we got back to the building Poppy went straight to her bed for a little rest until it was time to go back outside. When group time rolled around Poppy seemed overjoyed that she was able to see all of her pals again. As she got out the door Poppy said a quick hello to all of her pals but quickly race around the yard in excitement at being outside. As she finally slowed down, Poppy saw that a few of her group mates were chasing each other around the yard, so she decided to join in however it was short-lived as she got tired. For the rest of the group poppy spent some time sniffing around the pool but mainly sniffing around in the grass B.fore the time was over poppy made sure to come over to see me for a few quick cuddles.
Keeva seems over joyed that she gets to be here to spend some time with her pals. When I went to get her for her walk Keeva ran in circles around her kennel and she saw that I had a few friends with me and we were going out for a walk. As we made our way through the yards Keeva was filled with excitement she saw the field and knew that she got to walk around the whole thing with her friends. As we made our way through the field her main focus was to sniff everything she saw as she walked along with her pals, however she did stop a few times to roll around in some grass. As Keeva and I made our way back to her kennel she seemed relieved to have a bed to go back into. When it was time to go out for her group Keeva ran straight out the door and as fast as she could, ran around the yard. When she finally slowed down Keeva decided to come over for some cuddles and to give a few kisses before it was time to go back inside. Later on in the afternoon I went back to see Keeva with a leash in my hand once again. She was very happy to be going outside for her second walk time of the day. This girl loves to sniff and wander in the field and spend some quality one-on-one time with her people friends here at Tails & Trails. We wandered all over the field, wherever Keeva's nose led us. When we came back inside, Keeva had a big drink of water and then climbed up onto her bed and her comfy blankets.
Maggie R. always loves staying with us when her humans are out of town. When I went to get her for her walk she danced around, happy to finally be getting out for her walk. As we made our way through the yard Maggie stopped for a minute to give a clump of grass a thorough sniff down before she felt satisfied enough to continue on to the field. As we made our way through the field Maggie hopped along beside me with her pals with her tongue hanging out of her mounts obviously enjoying being out in the fresh air. When we started approaching the building Maggie made a run for it when she saw a bird in the corner of her eye, however the bird out flew her and she was left standing there out of breath. When we got back inside Maggie was happy to be able to curl up in her bed for a little rest. When it was time for her group to go outside Maggie climbed out of bed with a lazy stretch and yawn and made her way outside. After saying hi to all of her pals Maggie decided to take some time to investigate the pool and have a little splash around, however eventually she went on to sniffing though the yard to see what we had to offer. As the group was coming to a close Maggie made it her priority to come over for a few treats and cuddles before we headed back inside.
Austin had a very action packed day today. When we went to get him for his walk Austin waiting patiently in his bed, as he knew what time it was. After hooking him up to a leash Austin ran full speed to the door unable to contain the excitement he had to be getting out for his morning walk, but as soon as we got out the door Austin slowed down to allow his friends to catch up to him. On our way through the yards, Austin spent some time sniffing around in the gravel but mainly he was focused on getting out to the field. As we made our way through the field Austin spent most of his time sniffing through the hay and the grass however he did stop a few times to roll around in a few piles of grass. When we made our way back inside Austin was happy to climb up on his cot and curl into his blanket until it was time for his group. When it was time for his group Austin got to go out with some of his best friends including the Husky puppies. As Austin made his way through the yard with his friends Vega enticed Austin to a game of chase me and he gladly complied. As the two raced around the yard they just showed off her cool moves as she spun around a rock and ran through the agility tunnel, and Austin went on to do the same. As the group was coming to an end Austin player with Vega until it was time to go back inside.
Lola is certainly enjoying staying with us; she must have missed her brother, Joe! When it was time to walk the puppies this morning Lola, Joe, and Vega were eager to get outside for their walk. When I opened the door the trio bolted out as fast as they could excited to get outside and enjoy the fresh morning air. As we walk through the yards Lola's eye caught on a butterfly as it flew through the yard. Lola chased it as fast as she could however she came up empty-handed. Throughout their walk the puppies tumbled through the grass and played in the bushes excited to be back with each other. Near the end of our walk Susan came out to take some pictures of the adorable trio as we continued on into the building. When the puppies got back in the kennel they all curled up on a cot together and went for a little snooze. When it was time to go out for the group, Lola raced out the door with Vega and Joe not far behind her. As soon as she got outside Lola said hi to all of her pals in the group but raced to the far yard to see what was going on over there. After discovering that nothing exciting is happening Lola decided to just play around with her pals Vega and Joe for most of the group. However Joe and Vega were interested in going in the pool so off they went with Lola not far behind and although Lola didn't go in, she thought it looked very tempting. Before the group was over Lola came over for some cuddles and kisses and a few treats.
Duke is having such a fun stay with us at tails and trails. When I went to get him for his walk Duke ran out of his crate excited to see all of his pals. When I open the door duke make sure that he was the first one to run out, as he was super eager to be going for a walk. When we made it to the field Duke went straight to sniffing stopping briefly at the beginning to roll around in some grass, however he quickly returned to sniffing around alongside his friends. Throughout the walk duke and I, along with his pals, ran for most of it but as the walk was coming to a close, Duke decided to slow down for a bit so he could continue sniffing before he had to go back to his kennel. When you got back to his kennel Duke cuddled up in his crate and went for a little nap. when it was time to go out for his group Duke was so excited to see all of his pals again. As he made his way through the door he made sure to say hi to all of his friends before running to the pool. He was very interested in watching his friend Achilles lay down and roll around in the pool, although Duke wasn't interested in laying down in the pool he did go in for a little splash. After splashing around in the pool Duke decided to jump out and go sniff around the grass for a little bit until he saw his good pals Hudson and Harvey racing around the yard after each other and Duke decided to join them. After chasing his buddies around the yard Duke decided to slow down and sniff around until it was time to go back inside.
Hudson is enjoying his stay and his favourite part is when he gets to spend time with his best friend Harvey. When I went to get him for his walk Hudson spun around in his kennel, excited to be getting outside with his buddy Harvey. As I open the door the pair raced out as fast as they could eager to get out for their walk. As we made our way through the yards, Hudson and Harvey tackled each other before we got out to the field, as puppies do. After we go to the field the boys chased each other throughout the whole walk, stopping a few times to part ways and sniff around in the hay, but the pair didn't leave each other's side too often. As we got to the end of the walk the boys once again tackled each other for some more play before it was time to go back to their kennels. When Hudson got back to his kennel he curled up on his cot for a little nap to gain back all the energy he had just burnt off. When it was time to go out side Hudson raced all of his pals down the hall, trying to make sure he was the first one out the door. As soon as he got outside Hudson raced around the yard stopping abruptly in his tracks as he saw that I was filling up the pool for him to play in. After the pool was full Hudson hopped in for a splash. He was joined by Harvey for a little fun in the pool. For the majority of the group Hudson spent his time chasing Harvey around the yard however as the group was coming to an end Hudson made sure to come over for a few treats before we went back inside.
