Feist is such a love bug. She started her moring with a little exploring around the main yard. Once that was done Feist figured it was time for some cuddles and pets. She made her way over to me and promptly rested her head against me. After a little while we decided to retreat to the shade. Feist left me to spent some time checking things out with Brenyn. It didn't last long and soon Feist was back nudging my arm, asking for lots of pets and attention. Her pets were interupped when Maggie came over looking for some loving of her own. Feist and Maggie said hi and decided to head off and do a little exploring together. It wasn't long before Feist was back wanting even more love. Once we had cooled off in the shade we headed back to the far yard where Feist went off to do some more exploring.
Caesar and Monte made their way out to the yard. After a quick look around, Caesar came and planted himself next me. He was quick to lean against my leg and ask for some ear rubs and pets. Once Caesar was satisfied he went to rejoin Monte in exploring in the grass. They thoroughly checked out all the grassy sections of the main yard. With that done, Caesar and Monte went trotting out to the far yard to continue their explorations. I picked up the rope toy from yesterday and Monte came barreling over and took a flying leap at the toy. I gave it a toss before he could snatch it away. Monte went chasing after it and then promptly decided he still wanted to explore around the yard with Caesar. Of course not too long after that Caesar headed back my way for more pets. Needing to cool off, I headed for the shade. Caesar headed back out to do some more exploring around the far yard. After a little while Monte and Caesar followed me back to the main yard. They were all about following their noses and didn't seem to mind continuing to hang out in the sun. Monte and Caesar then made their way back to the far yard where they took up positions where they could watch everything going on in the yard. Thinking Monte might in more of a playing mood, I headed over to join them. He was definitely ready to play and went crazy for the rope toy. We played a little bit of tug before we started a game of fetch. Caesar left his spot and set out to do a little more exploring.
Maggie was quick to set off to do some exploring around the yard. She quickly did a tour of the main yard before making her way out to the far yard. Maggie went all around the yard until she settled on a section of grass that apparently had some yummy tasting grass growing next to it. She spent some time there, but eventually moved on. Maggie ended up back in the main yard where she climbed up on the patio stone and checked out the area around it. Maggie's focus on the grass soon faded when she spotted Feist getting pets and cuddles from me. Not wanting to miss out on anything, Maggie came trotting over to get some of her own. After she was satisfied Maggie said hi to Feist and the two of them went off to do a little exploring together. Maggie was soon back and spent some time hanging out with Brenyn and I in the shade. After we had cooled off a bit we headed back to the far yard. Maggie figured now was a good time to go and play in the tunnel.
Ranger wasted no time in heading out to the far yard. He went right to the centre of the yard, put his nose to the ground and was off in search of something epic. Eventually the rest of the group joined Ranger in the far yard. He didn't seem to mind and continued on exploring. After touring the whole yard quite thoroughly, Ranger decided now it was time to do some exploring in the main yard. He had the yard to himself for a little while until the group and I made our way to spend some time in the shady section. Ranger was quite happy to continue wandering around in the sunshine. After he had thorough investigated the main yard as well Ranger decided it was time to relax in the shade. Ranger found a nice spot to lay down in and relaxed and watched what the others were up to.
Duke was pretty excited to head out for his group this morning. He was quick to go around and say hit to the other dogs. When that was done, Duke set out to do some exploring around the yard. Along the way he met up with Kaos. Duke found her quite fascinating and spent quite some time givng her a good once over. Kaos seemed to return his interest and soon they were having fun bouncing around each other trying to decide what they wanted to do. Eventually they needed a bit of break so Duke headed off to do some more exploring around the yard. He didn't stay exploring long and quickly decided it was pool time. Duke went running over and leaped in. He had a great time splashing around and cooling off. Duke hopped out and set off to do some more exploring. After a while he decided he was done with sunshine and went to the shady section to relax and cool off.
Gracie went trotting out to the yard and checked in with all the dogs in her group. When that was done she set out to do some exploring. Gracie spent some time exploring by herself, but was soon joined by Oakley. They spent some time going around the yard together. Gracie then decided to branch off to go and do some exploring over by the fence in the shady section. This time Bella made her way over to join Gracie. Gracie soon headed out to expand her search area. With the heat it wasn't long before Gracie ended up in a different shaded section to check things out and to sample some of the grass growing there. Once she was done with that section, Gracie made her way over to help herself to a drink from the pool. Now feeling nice and refreshed, Gracie was ready to play. She went and met up with Kaos and soon the two of them were racing around. Oakley, Bella, and Farley soon joined in the fun.
Oakley headed out determined to do some exploring. She made it a few feet before decided she needed some pets and cuddles first. With that done, Oakley headed off. She noticed Gracie looking at something over by the fence. Curious, she went over and joined Gracie. They then decided to do a little touring around the yard together. After a while they split up to do their own thing. Oakley made her way back to me wanting more pets and attention, which I was more than happy to give. She then left me to go and see what Bella was up to. Once she'd said her hello, Oakley made her way back to me and we toured the yard together. Her attention was then caught by Gracie and Kaos, who had started to bounce around together. When they took of running Oakley couldn't resist and went running after them. Soon they were all having running around the yard and playing in the tunnel.
Bella was all about the exploring when she got outside. She was quick to put her nose to the ground and set off in search of something interesting. It wasn't long before Bella spotted the pool. She went running over to it and hopped in. Bella was quick to sumberge herself as much as possible. She was pretty happy to splash around the pool and get as wet as possible. I think she would have stayed in longer but her curiousity got the best of her. Bella had noticed Gracie checking something out over by the fence. She hopped out and went to give it a once over herself. Once Bella had thoroughly gone over everything she went trotting off to check out more of the yard. When Kaos and Gracie started to run around Bella went trotting over to see what was going on. When Farley joined them Bella decided he was who she wanted to play with. Unfortunately he was more interested in playing with everyone so Bella decided to as well.
Kaos went trotting out to the agility yard where she was quick to get down to some exploring. As she was going around the yard she met up with Duke. He took quite a shine to her and spent quite some time giving her a good once over. Kaos decided she rather liked him and soon they were bouncing around and trying to figure out what they wanted to do. Needing a break Kaos came trotting up to me wanting some attention and pets. After a couple pets she went running off to the grassy section over by the main building. Kaos then noticed Duke playing in the pool. She headed over to see what he was up to. Kaos didn't get too close; I don't think she wanted to get wet. Once Duke had hopped out, Kaos got a little closer, but still decided against getting in. I headed over to encourage her to get in, but she decided it was better to get some more pets. Kaos was now feeling ready to play some more and went and met up with Gracie. It didn't take long before they were running around. Oakley went trotting over to join them closel followed by Bell and Farely.
Finnigan and Domino were best friends out in the yard today during their group time. Domino was loving how energetic and playful Finnigan was so he didn’t take his eyes off of him and stayed near him the entire time. Finnigan was just loving all of the attention he was getting from the other dogs. Whenever dogs start to play or chase him around the yard he becomes so much more excited and runs around in circles until they catch him. Domino started to wrestle around with Finnigan right from the beginning. The two started jumping up in the air at each other then took it to the ground when things got more physical. Millie was sniffing along the fence and minding her own business when I called her over to me to say hello. She trotted over with her tongue sticking out and turned around right away for me to scratch her bum. As soon as she turned around she noticed Domino and Finnigan wrestling around on the ground. This got her excited and she ran over to join in with them. Since they are a lot bigger then her it was hard for her to do so, she ended up just running around them while barking and jumping up onto their backs so they would include her more. Once Finnigan broke out of Domino’s hold on him he ran away as fast as he could as Millie and Domino chased him. Millie really liked playing tag and got really wound up whenever they were playing. Eventually Finnigan led them to the pool where he hopped in right away and layed down in the water where he started to roll around to cool off his whole body. Millie jumped in after him and the first thing she did was take a sip out of the water to cool off from the run she just endured, as she was drinking Domino decided to join as well since they all couldn’t get enough of each other and stayed near at all times. Domino and Millie walked around the pool while Finnigan stayed laying down. When they all jumped out, Finnigan found a plastic bone on the ground that I started to throw for him to try and start a game of fetch. The other two chased after it as well but Finnigan got to it first and wasn’t letting anyone else near it. He found a nice spot in the shade to chew on it while Domino and Millie stood around him trying to get it from him.
Tinkerbell is such a funny girl. During her walk this morning she had so much energy in her that she had to let out as soon as possible. She began to run out onto the trail and didn’t want to stop the entire time. Once we almost got to the door she began to slow down more and wanted to go off into the bushes to explore but she had to wait until it was her group time for that. Outside during groups she seemed to be very playful from the beginning. Tinkerbell ran around on her own and didn’t really socialize with many of the dogs. She stuck to herself more as she wandered around the yard and smelled all of the tall grass along the fence. I called her over to me and she curled herself up into a ball as I pet her and gave me lots of kisses, she then walked over to the pool and started to sniff around it. It seemed to be very interesting to her as she couldn’t get away from it. She jumped up onto the edge of the pool and began to sniff the water unsure if she wanted to jump inside or not, she stayed there for so long and went from pacing around it the dipping one paw after the other inside of it. Eventually she jumped all in and walked around for a bit in it to cool off before running out and over to the grass to roll around and dry off.
Kouza was very excited to go out for her walk this morning with one of the other small dogs. She took her time as she walked along the short trail and stopped to sniff everything she was able to on the way around the loop. Once she got back inside in her kennel she jumped up in her bed and rolled into a ball to take a nap before it was time to go back outside. During groups, Kouza took off to wander around on her own. She sniffed everything she could and whenever a dog would come up behind her she would turn around quickly and give them a sniff as well and continue on with what she was doing. She walked all around the gravel yard once then made her way back to the door where she hung around with Julie and the more quiet dogs. It was very hot outside which made for a very lazy day.
Bella and Jake were so happy when they came in this morning. They’re always in the best spirits and love to show it off when they’re outside with their group or even when they are with me on their own. When I was taking them for a walk, Bella couldn’t stop bouncing around me as she was so excited to go outside that I couldn’t even attach her leash until I pet her enough to settle down. Jake was excited as well but he managed to keep calm long enough to get out the door. During groups they both ran around and split up when they got into the further yard. They began to sniff around on their own along the fence as Bella tried to grab the peices of long grass that were poking out with her teeth to chew on it. I called her over to me and she happily trotted over with a big smile of her face to get some cuddles. Jake saw from across the yard and couldn’t help but to get jealous. He ran over and jumped up onto the legs as I was kneeling down on the grass. He gave me lots of kisses until I managed to get up and that’s when he and Bella started to get playful. I ran around them in circles to get them to chase me until I stopped and they started to chase each other instead. They both run so carelessly as they always trip and tumble in the grass then get back up again to continue. After they’re game of tag they were both so worn out that they walked over to the door where theywalked around in the shade as they said hi to some of the dogs that were around there until it was time to go back inside.
Coco and Timbits came in with such a warm welcome this morning. They ran through the door and jumped up onto my legs to say hi and greet me with lots of kisses. Luckily for them as soon as they got here it was time for their walk so we headed to the back where I put them on leashes and took them out the door to start the trail. Timbits was full of beans and just wanted to go faster and faster the entire time, whereas Coco was not feeling that and wanted to go at a more slow and steady pace to enjoy the nice weather and explore along the trail. I got Timbits to slow down a bit and then we finished the walk at a normal pace that made everyone happy. During groups, Coco took off into the further yard where she began to explore right away just like she loves to do. Timbits, on the other hand, stayed near the door for a while to socialize with all of the other dogs before running over to see his sister in the grass yard. He made his way over slowly and stopped a lot on the way to sniff around the gravel and over by the pool. When he got over to Coco she was so tired that she decided to take a nap right in the middle of the yard and watch all of the others play. Timbits walked around her then went to see the other dogs that were running around. I waved a rope toyfor him and he jumped up for it but once I threw it he didn’t chase after it, instead he continued to explore on his own before going back inside.

Extra Attention
Gracie was more than ready for it to be time for her extra attention. We made our way out to the front yard so I could hook her up to the tie out. I stopped and grabbed some treats along the way. As soon as Gracie realized I had some treats she was ready to work. I asked her for some 'sits' and 'downs' which she found very easy. I decided to see how Gracie would feel about hunting for some treats in the grass, and quickly realized she loved it. Occasionally she tried to snatch the treats out of the air as I threw them, but she was quite happy to search in the grass to find the ones she didn't catch. We did this a few times before settlling down in the shade for some cuddles. Gracie soon flopped over on her side which then turned into her flailing and rolling in the grass. With that out of her system she was ready for some more cuddles.
Millie was obsessed with the toys out front during her extra attention but she was interested in the complete opposite ones from yesterday. As soon as we got outside and she was attached to the long leash out front she did a few of her quick laps and eventually lied down in the shade. I immediately grabbed the rope toy that she loved to play with yesterday to try and get her to play but she just looked at me while laying in the shade as if to say “that one is so yesterday". I then tried a toy bone that she enjoyed as well yesterday but seemed to get the same look. Eventually I grabbed a toy ball, which she wouldn’t even sniff yesterday and she went crazy for it! As soon as she saw me pick it up she bounced up and stared at me as she waited for me to throw it. Once I threw it she was off like a bullet chasing it as fast as she could. This continued for quite some time. She was hilarious while chasing it because she’d be going so fast that she’d pass the ball and have to come back for it or sometimes it’d bounce right over top of her. Towards the end of her extra attention we laid in the shade and cooled off while I gave her a good belly rub.
After Feist’s walk, it was time for her extra attention. Since it was pretty hot out today I wanted to give her a bit of a break from the heat. Instead of going out front, we simply stayed in her cool kennel and cuddled on her bed for a little while. She definitely loved the long belly rub she got. Every time I’d try to stop and pet her head or back, she’d nudge her nose at my arm or paw at me then lay back that I knew to continue rubbing her belly. After a little while, I took her outside to roam around the front field. Once we got outside she didn’t quite know where she wanted to go but seemed to pull in every possible direction. She didn’t seem to want to play much with the toys that were outside so I brought her into our lounge for some more cool air and comfy couches. Feist seemed very interested in a bone that was in the lounge and both of the couches. She’d walk over to them and sniffed a few times but she decided to come and see me instead of hop up. Afterwards, I brought her back to her kennel for some more snuggles and belly rubs since that where she seemed happiest.
