Saturday July 9th 2016

Groups Leah and Poppy began their mornings with some pep in their step as they went out for their first morning group. Leah trotted out of her kennel with Poppy following close behind. The two of them seemed a bit surprised by the cool temperature outside but I think they enjoyed it, especially Poppy with all that fur! Leah kept trying to come close to me looking as if she wanted to be pet but would jump away soon after, this continued for quite some time until she saw that Poppy came right up to me for a snuggle and decided she definitely wanted one as well. The two girls weren’t the happiest about it raining outside for their morning walk but still came out of their kennel to join me on an adventure through the rain. Poppy decided to stay by my side for the most part of the walk while Leah enjoyed sniffing in the bushes alongside the trail. Since it was raining so much today, Leah and Poppy were very excited that their first play time group was out of the rain and in one of our play rooms. Leah jogged down the hallway and ran right into the playroom ready for some action. Poppy was slower to begin but once she was in the playroom she started jumping around, looking very happy to be in there. Leah’s time in the playroom was full of action. She went around to all of her friends in order to sniff them first before choosing to play with them or not. She ended up choosing to come play with me. I had brought a rope toy into the playroom and she immediately grabbed onto it once she saw it. The two of us enjoyed a game of tug-of-war for a little while before her other friends joined as well. They kept her busy as she was trying her hardest to hold onto her side. Eventually she let go in order to come over to me and get a belly rub. In the afternoon the rain held off long enough for us to do an outdoor play group. Poppy was so very happy to get outside with her friends now that it wasn't raining anymore. She raced outside and immediately started sniffing all of her new and old friends. Leah followed right on her tail to make sure she knew what Poppy was doing at all times. I tried to interest them both in a game of fetch but Leah gave it a sniff and decided to go trot around with Poppy. Poppy enjoyed sitting right beside me for half of her group time and as well smiled up at me if I ever stopped petting her. Eventually Leah got a bit jealous and pushed her way to snuggle up beside my leg.

Fergus was in the howling mood today! As soon as I came down his hallway for the very first time this morning, he started, and hasn’t stopped showing off his voice ever since. I could always hear how excited he was based on his howls. Every time I’d go to let him out he looked as if he was dancing in his kennel because his little paws were all over the place. He was so excited to go outside every time that he was basically bouncing off the walls all day long. Fergus raced outside for his very first group with as much energy that I’ve ever seen out of him. He immediately started doing laps around the yard and greeting every friend he could find. He calmed down soon after and was more focused on all the smells around the yard. He didn’t quite want to come back in at first but did eventually like the good boy he is. Fergus was just as excited to go outside for his walk and bounced out of his kennel as soon as I got him on his leash. He got a special one on one walk today with our volunteer which gave him the opportunity to have the whole trail, and our volunteer, all to himself. It looked as if he loved it because he had his head up looking proud for the whole walk as if he was showing off. I’m not sure that Fergus really cared about the rain but he was definitely excited to come inside for groups and check out the playroom. Once he got into the playroom his nose was all over the place, smelling walls, his friends, the big couch and of course all of the toys. Fergus especially enjoyed looking at the rain through the window and would put his front paws up on the edge so that he could see better. Once we could finally get outside for an outdoor play group he raced out beside me and immediately began exploring through the grass. Fergus was obsessed with any little bug he found in the yard and would stand in one spot sniffing it for what seemed like forever. At the end of his group time he tried to play keep away for a little bit but eventually decided to give in and go back into his kennel for an afternoon nap.

Today Pepper began her morning off pretty quiet. She was the first one I went to see this morning as she was all snuggled up in the kitchen. When I went in to see her she didn’t even lift her head up or open her eyes but her tail was wagging like crazy on her bed. Soon after, she opened her eyes, bounced up and came to give me a few big kisses before I continued on. I gave her a small morning treat which she quickly ate and then returned to her slumber. Pepper was actually quite excited to go outside this morning which may have been because the air was a bit cooler than usual, but she still wanted a short belly rub before she left the kitchen. She had an extra pep in her step as she trotted down the hallway and then outside. Once outside, she looked very content with herself and decided to follow me around wherever I went. Pepper was constantly trying to sneak in as much attention as she could get which always ended up working out for her. Once her morning outing was over, Pepper was excited to go back into the kitchen to snooze once again. After a little while, she enjoyed a relaxing walk in the field just before the rain started. After her walk, Pepper participated in her favourite part of the day: her extra attention time! She had a long nap in her comfy bed getting lots of cuddles from our volunteer. After that she came up front to the reception area where she got lots of love from all three of us working up here and really enjoyed the tasty treats she got.  She loved playing with the rope toy and giving a paw for treats! Pepper had lots of fun today.

Jake and Bella had another excellent day here at Tails & Trails. The little dynamic duo must’ve been the first ones up this morning when I came in, or at least Bella was the first one I heard! Once I got into their hallway to start letting their group out I could hear Bella jumping all over the place and went to let them out first. She’s always so energetic in the morning, it’s crazy! Jake stuck beside Bella for almost the whole time that they were outside. Once they got outside, the two of them decided to say good morning to all of their friends before proceeding to sniff around the yard on their own. Once they gave the entire yard a once-over, they joined me up on the picnic table that I was sitting on. Bella was the first up but was quickly followed by Jake. Bella was obsessed with giving me as many kisses as she could in the time that were were on the table. When it came to their morning walk, Jake was the one who was more excited this time. As soon as I put on his leash it was go time and he was out the door! This obviously amped up Bella who had to chase after and join him. Their entire walk seemed like a competition of who could be more active. Bella was racing from side to side of the trail while Jake ran to the end of his leash then behind him and so on. The two of them each took their turns coming to see me on their way by but didn't stray much from the path they were running. The two energetic bunnies ended up getting all tangled up together but once I got their leashes fixed they didn't seem to slow down. This time they were both at the end of their leashes trying to get ahead of one another. Towards the end of their walk they were finally slowing down and once they got into their kennel they each laid down for a short nap before their play group. Their main play group was in the front playroom today which they really enjoyed since it was a new surrounding for them. As soon as they got into the play room Jake immediately joined me on the big comfy couch. He gave me all sorts of kisses and waited patiently for his best friend Bella to join him. Bella was very hesitant to come up with us and just sat on the ground for a little while. Soon enough she realized she was allowed up and hopped right on the other side of me. Both of them were so funny because they were each trying to get my attention by pawing at me from both sides.

Duke is our pride and joy here at Tails & Trails! He’s gone through so much but is still able to be the happy, energetic and fun loving boy that we’ve come to love. He had another wonderful and exciting day today as he got to spend some time in a few places that he doesn’t get to go into very often. He started his day off just like any other, on a walk with two of his fairly new best friends, our huskies, Magic and Justice. Duke’s been able to become very close with these two new friends and the three of them always seem to be side by side or playing around. Duke took the lead in the walk right from the very start. However, his nose and his want for attention took him off guard as he wasn’t sure whether he wanted to lead the pack, sniff all of the summer smells on the trail or come see me for a pat on the head. He ended up doing a little bit of all three but seemed to let his nose rule the walk for the most part. Duke especially enjoyed going into the tall grass today and trying to get me to join him, no way! Silly boy. He would be in the tall grass in a play bow while jumping side to side as if to try and get me to come play with him. Although I didn’t, Magic and Justice sure went for the bait which lead the “walk” into a run and play for the rest of the way. By the end of the walk, I thought Duke may need to take a nap but he ran into his kennel just to start playing with the toys inside! He played with his favourite toy the most; his pig. He kept throwing it up into the air and catching it, it was as if he was playing catch by himself. Duke loved the fact that he got to go into the front playroom for one of his group times. He sprinted into the play room and immediately started with all of the toys. When I came into the room however, he wanted to come sit up on the couch with me. He had to tackle a couple of his husky friends in order to get his spot but he made sure to get it. While cuddling with me Duke also had fun playing with the huskies that were on the ground by pawing at him.

Millie began her day on a high energy walk with one of her good friends Feist this morning. Millie was so excited to get outside and start moving that she ran right into Feist when she got out. The two girls started play tackling as soon as they could and soon after they started on their walk. Millie led the way right away. She ran to the end of her leash and didn't even look back to see where Feist was when she got going. Eventually she took a break and started prancing around in the long grass on the side of the trail. Towards the end of her walk, Millie got very excited once again and her and Feist ended up getting all tangled up together. By the time her walk was over, Millie was exhausted and laid down for a nap. In the afternoon Millie was absolutely ecstatic to get outside for her outdoor play group. She was obsessed with all of the huskies in her group but especially her best friends Justice and Magic. She looked so adorable with them as she was in the middle of the two of them trying to play with boith of them at the same time. She'd always jump at Magic then Justice and vice versa. Eventually the two of them turned the tables on her and chased her around the field but she seemed to enjoy every second of it. Overall Millie had another wonderful day.

Splash had another wonderful day as he always does. He was a bit sleepy this morning when I went to let him out for his first morning outing and wasn’t so sure he wanted to take on the damp day ahead of him. However, he decided he could do it and trotted down the hallway and right into the yard after a minute or two. When it came to his morning walk, he was definitely eager ane excited to head out! Splash was sitting right at his kennel door just waiting for me to come get him. Once I got there his tail started wagging like crazy but he still remained sitting until I actually got his leash on. However, once the leash was on, he was ready to go go go! Splash took off out the door as fast as I’d let him go. This led to quite a fast paced walk and he tried to get me to go to as many different places as possible. Splash wasn’t very impressed that it was raining outside by the end of his walk and was definitely happy to get back inside and get warm and cozy on his bed. Splash took his time to relax after the first, shorter outing since it was so rainy outside. This meant that Splash was very excited when we could finally go outside without pouring rain. He trotted outside into a completely new group of friends and was ready to meet all of the new dogs in his group. Splash was the star of that group since he was meeting all new dogs. Everyone just had to get a sniff of him to see who he was and a few of his new friends tried to play bow at him. He’d return the play bow every so often. Splash looked as though he loved the extra attention he got from everyone.
Monty had an excellent start to his morning with some warm cuddles on this damp and chilly day. I saw him all snuggled up on his blanket and just couldn't resist going into his kennel to give him a quick belly rub. He was still quite sleepy so he just flipped over onto his back with his tail slightly wagging. Soon enough he was fully awake and so was his tail! The little thing was wagging all over the place as he waited for his turn to go outside. I opened up his kennel door for he and I to join his group outside and he trotted out before me, ready to go see what awaited him outside. Monty was in a more playful group today so it was always fun to see who he was hanging around with. During this first group he seemed to not be able to just choose one friend and went to almost all of them just to say a quick good morning. Monty was very excited for his walk this morning and showed us with his confident voice. He waited patiently for the most part but definitely let us know it was time to hurry up so that he could get out and explore the trail. Monty didn’t really seem to care who he was walking with but was instead focused on his nose which led him everywhere. He almost got all tangled up just because he was following scents in so many different directions. I think Monty was pretty happy that we had his first long play group inside and out of the rain. He loved being able to go into the front play room and of course check out all the new scents that he had never smelled before. His favourite part of the whole play room was the big comfy couch. After doing a through sniff of the room he joined me up on the couch for almost the rest of his group time. Monty loved to give me kisses and didn’t seem to mind that I was sitting on the couch as he lied right on top of me.

Tinkerbell had a lovely walk this morning. Luckily it didn’t really start raining until later, so she was able to enjoy the trail and took her time sniffing everything. We made it back before the worst of the weather and Tinkerbell curled up for a nap before groups. Since it was storming outside, we kept groups in for the morning and spent some time in the playroom instead. Tinkerbell was excited to explore the new area and went racing down the hall with her friends. After everyone had made their way into the playroom, she started darting back and forth, trying to sniff everything at once. There were certainly lots of things to keep her interested. She noticed me taking pictures while she trotted around the room, and came hurrying over to say hello and check out the camera. We cuddled for a bit before Tinkerbell’s curiousity got the best of her and she had to go see what was happening at the window. She and a few other dogs jumped up to look at the rain. Then Tinkerbell headed back to the other side of the room, pawed around some toys, climbed over the cot and settled down for a nap on the couch.

Austin was full of energy this morning! He was so excited when it was his turn for groups! The weather wasn’t the best for outside play so we kept groups inside this morning. There was so much in the playroom for him to check out, Austin could hardly wait to sniff everything and he was racing all over the place. He was very eager to meet all of his new friends. Everyone was delighted to see the new dog and greeted him with wagging tails. They all loved him and were happy to play with him. Roxy, Trixie and Charlee acted as his welcoming committee and followed him around while he said hello to everyone else. Austin’s feet never stopped moving once while he was dashing about. Once he had greeted every dog, he ran over to the couch; from there he went to the cot, then the water bowl. He wanted to see everything at once. He saw Charlee at the window and tried to jump up to see what she was looking at. Since he was too tiny to reach the window, I picked him up and cuddled with him while we watched the outdoors for a bit. Then he decided he wanted to continue running around with his group. He and Charlee pounced on each other and then took off across the room. Austin jumped on the couch, launched himself off and almost landed right on top of Jack. He was definitely a wonderful and energetic addition to the group!

Roxy, Trixie and Charlee were our three musketeers of the morning. They started their day with a nice walk, where the girls stuck side by side all the way along the trail. Charlee was darting back and forth, looking for something interesting to sniff, and whenever she got too far behind the others she would go racing after them. On the last stretch of the walk, the three of them got a sudden burst of energy, and Roxy pounced on Trixie, who then took off ahead. They all ran circles around me while I attempted to keep the leashes organized. When it was time for groups, it had started raining quite hard, so the dogs stayed inside and got to hang out in the playroom. The three of them were delighted to have a new room to explore. First they welcomed their new group-mate, Austin, and then Roxy and Trixie decided to check out the couch. They sat down to observe the other dogs from their new perch. Charlee stuck with Austin and had a great time playing with him. She was running all over the playroom. Then she headed to the window to watch the rain. If Charlee stretched out as tall as she possibly could, she was able to see out the window. Roxy and Trixie both went running over to see what she was looking at. When the girls found nothing too interesting outside, they immediately turned around and jumped on each other. Roxy and Trixie were busy wrestling, while Charlee ran laps around them and cheered them on. Soon Austin joined them. Eventually they all settled down again, and the three girls plus their new friend wandered over in my direction to cuddle while they caught their breath.

Mika was happy to stay inside and away from the rain today. After a nice walk while it was still clear outside, she curled up in her bed to rest up for group time. Since it was pouring rain, we had groups in the playroom this morning instead. Mika was excited to explore the new place and spent a lot of time checking out all of the toys, the cot, and especially the couch. She and her friend Jack were the first ones to climb up on it, and Mika was quick to claim her spot. Apparently it was a great seat to sit back and watch the action. A few of the other dogs had started to play with each other, but most of them were still busy checking things out, so after a while Mika jumped down to join them. She teamed up with Roxy, Trixie and Kouza to cover more ground. Mika must have discovered an interesting scent because she was racing back and forth with her nose to the floor; she must have sniffed everything at least three times. After Mika was content that everything was in order, she headed back to the couch, only to discover that some of her friends were occupying her spot. She quickly hopped up and sat right in the middle, practically on top of everyone. I went over to say hello to the dogs on the couch and she was delighted to be the center of attention. We cuddled for a bit and I gave her a nice scratch behind the ears, before Mika settled down for a nap.

Kouza enjoyed a nice walk this morning with her friends Jack and Marley. It was just starting to drizzle, but she didn’t let the weather ruin her good mood and was happy to walk beside me with her head held high. She found the trail quite interesting today and took her time sniffing the grass. Jack and Marley kept her company while she strolled along. We made it back in time to avoid most of the rain, though when it was time for groups it was still storming so we kept the dogs instead and headed to the playroom. Kouza stuck together with a few other girls and wandered around the room to explore. She spent some time sniffing over the couch and once she was satisfied that nothing had gone unchecked, Kouza moved on to find something else. Along the way she bumped into me, and decided to hang around for some cuddles. She loves being rubbed behind the ears. I gave her lots of attention, which she just soaked right up, and we had plenty of visitors stopping by for cuddles of their own. Eventually Kouza continued on her way with Mika. The girls ventured to the other half of the playroom together. Kouza found a big rope toy and pushed it around with her nose for a bit. She also checked out the other toys lying around, and then she and Mika made their way back to where the majority of the group was gathered to socialize for a bit.

Caesar and Monte were looking forward to today’s activities and could hardly wait for their morning walk. They trotted out the door with their friend Maggie right behind them, and took their time to thoroughly sniff everything and make the most of their walk. The sky was looking a little grey at this point, but the two of them were determined to enjoy themselves anyway. After a nice long stroll, they both settled down for a nap in their kennel to save some energy for groups. Since it had started raining quite hard, we had indoor groups this morning in the playroom. Caesar was a little bit unsure of the new area and stuck close to Monte at first. I sat with him and we cuddled until Caesar decided that he was ready to explore. The couch seemed interesting, so we made our way over there. Along the way, Caesar said hello to everyone that crossed his path. Their happy energy was contagious and soon he decided it really wasn’t that scary after all, and after he gave the couch a good sniff Caesar jumped right into the action. He set out to find where Monte had wandered off to. While this was going on, Monte was already in the middle of everyone and was having a great time playing. He and Oban took turns pouncing on each other. Monte was bigger than Oban, but his friend was quicker, and both boys had their work cut out for them. After wrestling with Oban, Monte moved on to Parker and Amira. They played for a bit and then Monte sat back to observe the dogs while he caught his breath. He decided to act as referee and whenever he thought the dogs were getting too rowdy, he would jump in the middle of them. Once Caesar had found Monte again, the two of them wandered over in my direction for more attention.

Amira had a nice one-on-one walk today and was pleased with all the attention she was getting. She’s such a sweet girl. Thankfully the rain held off long enough for walks, and Amira stayed dry while she made her way along the trail. We weren’t so lucky for groups and ended up spending them in the playroom rather than the yard, since it was pouring rain. Amira thought that the playroom was a great place to explore and spent some time sniffing over the couch and the cot. She then moved on to all of the toys that were lying around; a rope toy caught her attention and Amira hurried over to check it out. Instead of playing with it, though, she just nosed it once or twice and then trotted away to find something new. In between her adventures, she made sure to stop by and visit me often for plenty of cuddles. Amira then went to hang out with Feist and Maggie, two of the more laidback girls in her group. The three of them happily greeted each other. They stayed on the edge of the activity, and seemed to enjoy watching and cheering on the other dogs while they played; occasionally Amira would run into the middle of it, pounce on someone else and race away before they realized that she was the one who had ambushed them. She had a quick wrestling match with Monte and Parker before slipping away to sit with me. She certainly loves her cuddles!

Feist was in such a happy mood today. She had a nice walk with little Millie this morning, and was still full of energy when it was time for groups. We stayed in the playroom this morning since it was storming outside. Feist was uncertain of the new room but decided to be brave and wasted no time exploring everything. Soon she realized that it wasn’t that bad, and everyone else was having lots of fun! Of course, before she could join in with all of her doggy friends, Feist had to stop by and cuddle with me. She sat down at my feet and patiently waited until it was her turn. Whenever I stopped petting her to take a picture or say hello to another dog, Feist would nuzzle my hands and stare at me with her best puppy eyes. Once she had much more than her fair share of attention, Feist wandered over to socialize with some of her group. Maggie and Amira were the perfect dogs to hang out with. The girls spent some time sniffing around and just keeping each other company. One half of the room was full of playing dogs; Feist and the other two were content to relax and watch the action from the safety of their half. I joined them shortly after and Feist immediately gravitated towards me. I’m sure that Feist would be happy to cuddle all day long if she could. I spent some more time rubbing her ears, and then she made her way over to the couch, where she lounged around with a few other dogs until group time was finished.

Maggie G. was more than ready for their walk this morning. Right away, she knew what time it was when I opened her kennel. She raced out the door after her friends Caesar and Monte, and kept up a quick pace, darting back and forth across the trail. Every time we came across a clump of grass that smelled interesting, Maggie would stop to give it good sniff and then run to catch up with the rest of us. She’d make it all the way to the end of her leash before she would turn around and come trotting back to me. Eventually she slowed down and was happy to walk beside Caesar, Monte and I, while they took their time exploring the path. We made it back just as it started to rain, and not too long after it was a full downpour. Since none of the dogs were too happy about the weather, we spent morning groups in the playroom instead, where everyone could stay warm and dry. Maggie was excited to explore the new space and wasted no time hopping up on the couch to survey the room. She then divided her time between cuddling with me and hanging out with her friends Feist and Amira. Maggie sat down at my feet and started to lean over while I was petting her, until she was all the way on her back, waiting for a belly rub. She decided to keep things quieter today and didn’t join in the playing, but had fun watching everyone wrestle with each other. Maggie also found it quite amusing to walk in between two dogs while they were about to pounce on each other. They’d both skid to a stop to avoid jumping on Maggie, who would then slip away as if nothing had happened. She certainly seemed to enjoy playing tricks on everyone.

Gracie got to spend her day lounging in the staff room with her friend Bentley. Since lots of people were going in and out all the time, she just soaked up all of the attention that everyone gave her. When it was time for walks, she could hardly wait to get outside with Parker and Oban. She led the two of them along the trail with her tail wagging and her nose stuck to the ground. Gracie found the hay bales quite interesting and spent some time checking them out whenever we were close enough to one for her to sniff them. For groups, Gracie’s calm demeanor completely changed once we got into the playroom. Since it was raining so hard, we kept the dogs inside for morning groups. Gracie wasted no time pouncing on the dog nearest to her, who turned out to be Parker. He quickly pounced back. Since Parker was bigger than her, Gracie decided to play it smart and instead of just wrestling with him, she dove on the ground and went after his feet. It was quite the interesting sight, with Gracie half lying down with her rear-end sticking up. She played a bit longer with Parker and then they both stopped for a breather. Gracie made her way over to the couch where I was busy cuddling with a few other dogs, and she happily sat down to wait her turn. She’s such a cutie! After I showered her with attention, Gracie made her way back to the center of activity to play with Monte and Oban.

Max and Sadie were so happy on their walk this morning, both of them had big doggy grins and their tails were wagging the whole time. It’s such a great sight to see. They didn’t let the clouds and drizzle ruin their good mood, and were content to trot beside each other as we made our way down the trail. The rain let up about halfway through our walk and this made for even happier dogs. Sadie often ended up beside me looking for attention, while Max was more interested in the tractor picking up hay bales. Just before groups, it started to storm quite heavily, so we kept everyone inside and spent the morning in the playroom. Max and Sadie got it all to themselves for their turn. Max quickly leaped onto the couch and gave it a thorough sniff, while Sadie went to the window first. She decided to show off her acrobat skills by jumping onto the windowsill and balancing there. I was quite impressed that a dog her size could fit all four feet on that small ledge, though if anyone could do it, of course it would be Sadie. Max wandered over to see what she was doing and they both spent a few minutes watching the rain. Then Sadie got down and made her way over to me for some cuddles. Max obviously had to outdo his sister and came running over also, trying to win my attention. He didn’t seem to understand that I had two hands to pet both of them. Max tried to wrestle with Sadie, but she wasn’t in the mood to play today, so I distracted him with a toy instead. Then we all headed over to the couch. Sadie climbed on right away and fended off any attempts Max made to join her up there. Max ran to the other side of the playroom and jumped up on the table instead. As if that had been her plan all along, Sadie just curled up and had a nap.

Extra Attention

Gracie had a very fun filled day today. She started her day off with a long walk through the field with some of her best buds. She didn't seem to mind the rain too much and spent her time outside like she usually does: greeting the other dogs and bouncing around every now and then. After the first group time of the morning, it was Gracie's turn to go out for her walk. The rain always brings out fresh smells in the grass and Gracie loved to sniff around along the edge of the trail, getting her nose nice and wet. After her walk, Gracie had a little nap on the chair up front in the reception area. She seemed to be feeling extra cozy today and had a big yawn before resting her chin on her paw to fall asleep. She snoozed there for a little while until she joined her friends for some fun in the play room.  During her extra attention Gracie did lots of tricks for treats; her favourite trick to do is to roll over! She's a master at all of the tricks and loves to show them off. If she knows there are treats at the ready, Gracie will sit, give a paw, lay down and then roll over without even being asked! After doing her tricks Gracie got lots of cuddles and gave some kisses.

Feist is such a sweet girl and spent a lot of her group outing times snuggled up against me. She took advantage of this rainy day to get extra cozy and have lots of head and back scratches. Feist did go for a little wander around the yard every now and then to greet some of the other dogs and to sniff in the long grass by the fence. She ran her nose through all of the plants until she popped back up with a nice, wet nose! Feist made her way back over to me with a big grin on her face and planted herself by my side for some more pets. Feist got lots of love during her extra attention today. I got down on her big bed and we hug out together for a little while. Feist can't say no to one-on-one snuggles, and happily rested her head on my leg. Instead of going out to the field for a stroll, we decided to go around and say hello to all of the staff indoors to stay dry. After doing our rounds, we made our way back to Feist's kennel. She enjoyed lots of yummy treats while she showed off all the wonderful tricks she can do. She loves to give a high five in return for a treat and a kiss. After her extra attention she had a nice long nap while listening to the rain on the roof top.

For Millie’s extra attention today we spent some time up front, cuddling and playing tug of war. We also discovered that Millie is able to bounce our big red ball off of her nose. She got lots of treats as she showed us all the cool tricks she knows. Millie is always so much fun when we have our one-on-one time! She has so much energy, that little girl could play for days with all of the different toys she comes across. After some playing, we did some tricks for treats, it was definitely her favourite part of the day.
