Groups
Dougie was so excited to get outside and see what was going on. He threw himself into the centre of a group of dogs. After he'd said hi to everyone, Dougie headed out to see what fun was going on. He came across Finnigan, who was busy trying to get Summit to play. Dougie trotted along behind, waiting to see what was going to happen. As soon as they took off racing, Dougie was prepared and went booking it after them. It wasn't long before they were joined by more of the group. When Finnigan went racing off to splash in the pool, Dougie went running to join him. By the time he got there, Finnigan was gone, but Harvey was there. Dougie got about halfway in the water, then was distracted by Riley checking out Goliath. He headed over to give him a once over of his own. Dougie then decided to make his way over to Kaos to see what she was looking at. They spent some time exploring together. Dougie then set off to see what else was going on around the yard. It wasn't long after that that Kaos took off running and Dougie and the rest of the group took off after her. After all the running it was time to cool off. Dougie made his way over to the pool to join Finnigan once again.
Kaos wasn't quite sure what to do when she first headed out to the yard. She went around and said her hellos then made her way over to me for some pets and attention. Kaos then set out to do some exploring around the yard. She soon found herself being checked over by Riley, Mylo, and Goliath. Kaos stood patiently waiting for them to be done. Once they were, she headed off to actually do some exploring. When Finnigan took off running and the rest of the group went racing after him, Kaos wasted no time in running to join the fun. After all the racing, Kaos needed to catch her breath and cool down. She decided to go and do some exploring. Kaos wasn't alone in her explorations, as Dougie decided to make his way over and do some exploring with her. Eventually Kaos had had enough with exploring. She made her way over to me for some pets and attention. This apparently gave her a major boost in energy. Kaos was now ready to run once more, only this time she decide to start the fun. She took off racing around the yard and quickly had the rest of the group racing after her.
Finnigan wasted no time in going tearing off around the yard. He then became aware of the pool when he spotted Goliath splashing in it. After a quick dunking of his paws, Finnigan was off to see about getting Summit to play with him. He was successful and soon they were running around together. This of course caught the eyes of Kaos, Harvey, and Dougie. They all had a great time running around together. As they were running, their path lined up perfectly with the pool so Finnigan had to go and launch himself in it. With his feet wet, he launched himself back out of the pool and continued running. Finnigan went running past where Pippin was thoroughly investigating the area near the gate. Curious, he went over and joined her. Apparently it was extremely interesting because he actually spent quite some time checking it out with her. When the rest of the group start racing around once more, Finnigan couldn't resit and went racing after them. After a little while, Finnigan set his sight specifically on Harvey and getting him to play and wrestle, and soon they were having a great time. Needing to cool off, Finnigan then went and hopped in the pool and promptly laid down.
Riley sat patiently waiting for me to let her out of her kennel for group. As soon as I opened her kennel she went running out the door. Riley ran around saying hello to the rest of the dogs when she came across Kaos. She took an immediate interest in her and spent quite some time giving her a very thorough sniff and greeting. A few others took her cue and soon Riley and Kaos were joined by Goliath and Mylo. Once Kaos had been thoroughly checked over, Riley came for a visit with me. Satisfied with the amount of loving, she headed out to do some exploring in the grass. Riley was distracted from her exploring when Finnigan and the rest of the group went racing past. Wanting to get in on the fun, she went racing after them. Eventually the racing died down. Riley took notice of Goliath in the pool and once he hopped out she headed over to give him a once over. Summit went over to join them so then Riley had to spent some time with him, too of course. When Summit headed off to do his own thing, Riley decided to do a bit more exploring. Kaos soon took off racing around the yard and Riley was more than happy to leave her exploring in the dust to go and chase after her.
Dugan and Keegan couldn't wait to get outside. They started running back in forth in the hallway waiting impatiently for me to open the door. As soon as that door was open they were off. Keegan quickly became distracted and turned around to spend some time saying hello to the rest of the group. Noticing his brother was no longer behind him, Dugan headed back to say his hellos as well. They then made their way over to me for some quick pets. Once that was done they headed off to do some exploring. Keegan and Dugan were more than happy to explore in the shady section of the yard, out of the sun. This eventually lead them to the picnic table which they both found particularly interesting. Dugan wasted no time in climbing it. Once the picnic table had been thorough explored, Dugan left the shade to go and check out more of the yard. Keegan let his brother head out into the heat on his own and was happy to continue exploring in the shade. Dugan's attention was quickly snagged by the pool. He headed over to check it out and was disappointed to discover it hadn't filled yet. Dugan then went to see what Tara was up to before circling back to me and the pool. He was very happy to see that it was now full of cool water! Dugan climbed in and was more than happy to get his feet wet while having a drink. Feeling cooler, he set out to rejoin Keegan and do some exploring together. Tara went zooming past and Dugan forgot all about Keegan and went racing after her. The two of them had a blast racing around and wrestling. I left them to their fun and went to go visit with Keegan. He was happy to see me and get some more pets and attention. Keegan had moved on from exploring and was now hanging out with Julie, Max, and Coconut.
Tara was so excited to head outside for group time. She went running around saying to the rest of the group. Tara spent extra time with Julie before she went running off to check out the yard. She went around with her nose to the ground wanting to discover something super interesting. Tara then noticed Keegan, Dugan, and I hanging out by the picnic table. The boys were giving it a good once over so Tara decided to give it a good once over herself after she got some pets in. After climbing half way on to the table, Tara decided to head out and explore more of the yard. She met up with Coconut and toured around with her for a bit. It wasn't long before Tara was off doing her own thing once more. It was pretty hot out today so Tara and I headed for the shade to relax and cuddle for a bit. Wanting to help cool her off, I went and placed her in the pool. Tara wasn't too sure about being in the water, but as soon as she got out of the pool she was off crazy with the zoomies. Dugan, not one to pass up on a chase, went tearing after her. The two of them had a blast racing around and wrestling.
Max and Sadie were so full of energy when they went outside for their group today, but what else is new?! These two love to play and run around with the other dogs while they're outside together. They love to do it so much that I have a difficult time trying to get them to come back inside because they just want to keep on going. Today when they walked out the door into the yard, Sadie began to roam around the yard to sniff a few things, while Max started to run around right away and jump playfull around the other dogs to get them to start playing. As Max got all of the others energy up to match his, he made his way into the grass yard and started a game of tag with some of the other dogs. He ran from one yard to the other as he kept hopping between the two yards. I opened the gate so they would have more room to play. Sadie saw how much fun Max was having and stood there for a minute to watch him then bolted over to his side and jumped up on him. Max loved this, and he knew it was on from that point. The two began to wrestle around the grass. They rolled around as all of the others that were playing tag rushed over to watch them. Finally when they stopped, Sadie needed a break and she ran over towards the pool to take a sip of the water then roamed the yard for shade so she could lay down. She walked over to the big dog yard and went into the play structure and sat inside to get away from the sun. Max played for a little while more then ran over to the pool where he and some others walked in to cool off. He then went to go see Sadie and made his way over to the play structure where he decided he wanted to join in. He squeezed through the tiny hole and began to dig in the dirt where she was laying. Sadie didn’t like this very much and got out while Max continued to dig before he jumped up onto the top of the play structure to watch everyone.
Bella and Oakley are both so sweet. I love when they come in because they’re so well behaved out in the yard and get along so well with the other dogs that they play with. When I took these two out for their walk this morning they were both ecstatic about it. They were a little eager to get outside at first and ran me out to the trail but once we started walking they calmed down a lot and loved to explore during their way around the loop. Outside for their group, both Bella and Oakley walked out the door and took off into the further yard. Bella began to explore right away while Oakley stood in the middle of the yard for a second before seeing that I walked outside. Once she saw me, she ran all the way over and brushed her head against my leg so I would cuddle her. I knelt down and she stood right in between my legs, all happy that she was getting all the attention. I called Bella over but she was too busy socializing with the dogs to turn her head my way. After a little while Bella started to become more playful as she saw the others playing around her. She decided to join in on the game of tag and ran as fast as she could around the yard. She liked to run really fast then completely stop playing as all of the dogs surrounded her during their game. Bella acted like she was doing nothing and after a moment the others would continue on without her and she would join back in. Oakley didn’t want to play much, but shestill always watched all of the dogs as they ran around for her entertainment, even if she wasn’t playing herself.
Xena was in such a good mood today and it certainly brightened my day as I spent time with her and her brothers in the yard. As she made her way out the door, Xena had the biggest smile on her face as she began to sniff along the ground as she roamed the yard. She quickly made her way over to the pool in the small dog yard and began circling around it. Just as she was doing this one of the others ran over and jumped right and the water splashed all over her! She took off from the pool to go and explore elsewhere and to shake the water off. She walked around the gravel and came up to me as I was sitting on the picnic table and she put her head in between my legs as I pet her. The other two got jealous and started to push Xena out of the way which made her get a little bit playful. As I got up, they all surrounded each other and the other two began to play as Xena watched. But it didn’t take long before she started to jump up onto them and start playing as well, the three of them wrestled each other more a minute before splitting up again. Xena decided to take another try at the pool and headed over when no one was there. She jumped in it then walked out and began to put her paws in before taking off another time; she sure loved the water.
