Olive and Finlay went tearing out into the yard. They paused a moment to say hi to the other dogs. With that done, Olive and Finlay start to wrestle with each other. The wrestling soon turned into them going racing off further into the yard. The running came to an abrupt end when Olive found a good rolling spot. She dropped to the ground and had a great time rolling around. Finaly, having noticed Olive was no longer racing with him, went back to see what she was up to. He watched her roll for a while then quickly decided it was time for him to have a roll, too. With the rolling out of their systems they went tearing off to the far yard. They wrestled some more then continued on running. As they were running around they came across a rope toy. Olive snatched it up and started to shake it around. Finlay grabbed on to the other end of it and soon they had a nice game of tug going on. After a while the got tired of the toy and left it to do a little wandering around the yard. Finlay then spotted Charlee hanging out on of the rocks. He went trotting over and hopped up to join her. They spent some time hanging out. Finlay then left to go and rejoin Olive.
Monty was pretty happy for it to be group time. He went trotting out to the yard and to see what was going on. Monty, having checked on the other dogs, decided it was time to make his way out to the far yard. As he made his way out he spotted me and Ryder and immediately set course for us. Monty liked Ryder's idea of all the pets and promptly plopped himself next to me so I could give him lots of pets. He sat facing away from me so he could also watch what the others were up to. Eventually Monty had enough pets and attention and set off to trot around the yard and take a closer look at things. During the next afternoon group time, I got out the hose and Monty immediately ran and hopped into the pool without hesitation. I turned the water on and he was so excited! He started to bite at the water until the pool filled up a little bit more. Once the water was above his ankles, Monty pawed and dug at the water until the hose went flying out. He then hopped out and bit at the water some more until I put the hose back in. This went on for the rest of our time outside.
Roxy, Trixie and Charlee were all about starting their morning with some exploring, as usual. Trixie and Roxy went around the yard together with their heads together checking out ever little thing that caught their interest. Charlee headed out on her own path, more interested in what was going on around the yard then truly following her nose. Her attention was soon caught by Olive and Finlay, who were wrestling and racing around the far yard. Charlee headed for the far yard to watch them a little more closely and possible join in. With her mind made up, she made her way over to Olive to see about joining the fun. They were happy to include her and Charlee had fun tagging along after them. She didn't stay running with them for long, though, and instead made her way over to visit with Ryder and myself. Trixie finally made her way out to the far yard. Roxy stayed back in the main yard to give it one last once over. Trixie took a little break from exploring and made her way over to me for a visit and some pets. Charlee's attention was stolen by Olive and Finlay once more, but this time it was by the rope toy they were playing with. After they left it Charlee headed over to check it out for herself. She then left it where it was and went running off to hop up on one of the big rocks. Trixie left me to go and do some exploring in the plant life by the fence. Roxy, now finished with the main yard, made her way over to join Trixie by the fence. Charlee didn't have the rock to herself for long. Finley went running over and hopped up to join her. Charlee didn't seem to mind and they spent some time hanging out together.
Ryder was feeling rather social this morning. He made his way out to the yard and promptly went around saying hi to everyone. When he was finished his greetings, Ryder went trotting off to do a little exploring. He didn't stay exploring long. Ryder spotted me in the far yard and decided to come join me. He plopped himself down and wanted all the pets he could get. Charlee made her way over to join us and to see how Ryder was doing. Ryder was happy to see her and spent some time checking her over. When she went running off he decided to stick with me and continue getting all the pets. During our next group outing together, Ryder came back to me immediately for some more love. I sat down on one of the big rocks and we wove in between my ankles until I scratched his back. He's such a little sweetheart, I could have cuddled him all day!
Leah and Poppy decided to start their morning with some exploring. The two of them headed out and were quick to put their noses to the ground checking out all the interesting scents. Leah and Poppy made their way around the main yard before finally making their way over to the far yard. As they reached the gate they became distracted by the other group in the agility yard. Leah and Poppy spent some time watching them. Leah and Poppy headed out and did a quick tour before circling back to the main yard. I went and joined them. Poppy spotted me and came over to meet me. She was quite happy receive some pets and attention. Leah came over to see what was going on and soon found herself being bounced on by Poppy. After a little more bouncing the two of them made their way back to me for some more pets. Poppy was more than happy to use Leah as a head rest while she got her pets. Finally satisfied, they went off to bounce around together. It's certainly obvious how much these two love each other!
Feist made her way out to the yard to say her hellos to the rest of the group and myself. With that done, she headed straight for the far yard. I spent some time with the others then headed out to see what Feist was up to. I found her with her nose to the ground following what appeared to be some interesting scents. Feist was also rocking a new ear-do, which she got from rolling around in the grass, which she loves to do. As soon as Feist spotted me she came trotting over wanting some attention and pets. She let me fix her ear and promptly leaned against my legs wanting all the love I could give her. Once she'd had enough attention Feist headed off to see what the others were up to. Early in the afternoon we went out for a little stroll in the field before I joined Feist in her kennel and the two of us cuddled on her big bed. She was really happy to to just have me with her in the kennel, petting her while we sat there together. Eventually she rested her head on my lap and fell asleep which was super cute!
Tasha headed straight for the far corner of the yard. Her nose hit the ground and she was off in search of something. Boris came running over to see what she was looking at. Once it was thoroughly investigated Tasha headed out to check out more of the yard. She met up with Merida and the two of them spent some time checking one another over. Tasha then left her to continue exploring in the yard. Finnigan went trotting over to join her. Not too long after that Boris came racing past, stealing Finnigan away. Tasha continued on exploring in the grass. Eventually she decided it was a good time for a dip in the pool. Tasha went and hopped in. Shortly after she was joined by Boris. The two of them then went shooting out of the pool and off racing around the yard.
Finnigan and Boris wasted no time in going off racing together. Finnigan ended up distracted by something near the fence, so Boris went running off check on Tasha. Finnigan quickly finished with whatever had distracted him and went tearing off after Boris. They raced around a bit more, but soon split up to check out their own things. Finnigan ended up making his way out to where Tasha was to see what she was looking at. Boris quickly became bored with exploring and so went racing over to where Finnigan and Tasha were exploring. Finnigan was quick to ditch his explorations and chasing after Boris. After a little while they needed a break and retreated to the pool. Once he was nice and soggy Finnigan hopped out to roll on the grass. He then went hopped back in the pool. Boris had hopped out to see Brenyn, but was quick to hop back in with Finnigan. Feeling nice and refreshed the two of them went ripping off around the yard. Boris then spotted his mom in the pool and decided to go racing over to join her. With his friend preoccupied, Finnigan turned his sight onto a toy. It wasn't long before he was tossing it around for himself and having a great time. When Boris and Tasha took off racing around the yard Finnigan wasn't going to miss out and went racing after them.
Syrus had an event filled first day with us here at T&T. He began his morning with a walk along the trail with Delaney. He burned off some energy and relaxed for a bit before heading out for his first outing of the day! He met so many new friends in this group, including Tycho's granddaughter, Nymeria. These two hit it off really well and had the zoomies together all throughout their group. Star was chasing Nymeria the whole time and every couple of minutes Syrus would jump in to the group and chase Nymeria through the agility tunnel. These two were a ball to have in the yard together. After darting around the yard for a long time, Syrus took a break and decided to hop into the pool where all the other dogs in their group were. He was pawing at the water, making it splash up into his face, but then he had a puzzled look on his face as if to say "where is that coming from?". At one point there were 5 dogs all crowded in the little kiddie pool trying to lap up the water. Syrus got into the little corner and put his paws up on the stool like thing in the pool and stood there soaking up the sunlight while he was cooling off. Later on in the day, Syrus got to go in a different group with some new huskies, Boris, his half brother, Tasha, Boris' mom, and Ricky, his cousin. He had a ball with them, racing around the yard and stopping to sniff all the new things since his outing earlier in the day. Syrus had a really great first day of his vacation!
Nymeria is always so much fun in the yard. She is the most popular girl in the group and everyone wants to see what shes doing or play with her. Star was her new best friend in the yard today. Everywhere she went, Star was right on her heels, sniffing her and play bowing to her. Syrus and Star were really excited to meet Nymeria and play with her as well. Star loves to race around the yard and with Nymeria and Syrus being huskies, it was perfect! These three went into a full on game of chase around the yard, with Nymeria in the front leading the way. Each time they started to catch up to her, she dove right into the tunnel and waited for them to follow. Sometimes Syrus went in after her, but for the most part, Nymeria would lie down in the tunnel to catch her breath and then go bursting out the other side and it would start all over again! She also took a break from running around with Syrus and joined him and Molly in the pool. The pool was a major hit today with the warm weather. Nymeria made sure to get her whole head wet in the water before returning to the yard to see what was up with her friends. Once it was almost time to go in, the heat was getting the best of everyone and they all started to slow down in the yard. Nymeria came over to me for some pets and some nice scratches behind the ears before we headed inside. She was thirsty when she got in that she hopped into Molly's kennel instead of going all the way to her own and they both started to drink from the same bowl - it was so cute.
I love when Max E. comes to visit with us! He is always so happy in the yard no matter what. He started his day with a nice outing with some familiar and some new friends. He wandered about the yard at the beginning, taking in the new smells and new things in the yard since the last time he stayed with us. Max met Nymeria today, who he was quite fond of. He did play with her and Syrus for some time, but eventually he got tired of simply running around the yard and ventured off to look for something else to do. He returned to me a few minutes later with a white rubber bone. I threw it across the yard and at this point, Molly had taken notice to it too and she rushed off to get it alongside Max. Max got there first but he is such a gentleman that he let Molly take it away with her. Max stood there for a second, wondering what to do next and then bolted over to the other side of the yard. He rummaged in the grass for a couple of seconds before bringing out a blue Frisbee. I threw it and this time Molly was preoccupied with her bone that she didn't even notice and Max was free to pick it up and return it to me so that we could do it all over again. After a couple of throws, Max grew tired and wanted to cool off. He stood by the pool watching as the other dogs went in and out and I went up beside him and said "Go on Max get in there!" and he slowly stepped in, but as soon as he was in there he didn't get out for the longest time! All in all it was a good day for Max E.
Kouza had a relaxing day today. She spent most of her time wandering the yard. Usually she is totally into getting lots of cuddles and pets but she was focused on getting around the yard and seeing everything. She hung out in her favorite spot between the two yards for a while before beginning her trek. She stays in this one spot because she can see all her friends in the yard and it is the perfect sunny spot to lounge in. In between her travels in the yard, she met little Coby. Kouza was a little unsure of Coby at first, probably because he is so tiny. After a bit of mingling, she warmed up to him and even gave him a little kiss on the nose. She then came over to me and proceeded to give me tons of kisses on the cheek and nose. Kouza was a real love bug today to say the least! After getting enough love to suit her needs, she made her way back to the door to let me know that she was ready to go back inside. A few minutes later we all went in and Kouza enjoyed a few nice treats for being such a lovely girl.
Coby and Jasmine are the cutest pair. Coby is so small and fluffy, which makes him the perfect cuddle companion, while Jasmine is a big sweetheart and loves to get lots of pets and attention in the yard. They began their day with a walk on the trail with one of our huskies, Aurora. Aurora is great with all dogs, big and small, and loved Coby and Jasmine. Jasmine and Aurora walked side by side while Coby followed slightly behind. At one point, Aurora stopped to try and play with Coby. Coby got excited but wasn't quite sure how to play with Aurora so he kept trotting along. Aurora persisted and wanted to play still, and Coby just stopped and stood there with his tail wagging, waiting until she was ready to walk again. They both met lots of friends in their little dog group today. Jasmine was a little bit nervous at first, but after spending a short amount of time with the littles, she was as cheerful as can be, and was trotting around the yard by my side, happy to be out with everyone. She started by my side and slowly made her way off into the yard, sniffing along the fence. She made her way back to me when she saw that I was sitting on the kiddie picnic table. Coby saw me sitting there as well and hopped right up on my lap and sat there, watching the rest of the dogs go about their business in the yard. He sat perched on my lap for the rest of the time during groups, while I pet his head with one hand and pet Jasmine with the other as she sat beside my leg, resting her head on my knee next to Coby's little feet. Once I started to get up, Coby leaped from my lap onto the top of the picnic table and sat there with his tail swaying side to side, with a big smile on his face. Jasmine continued to stand beside me. She is such a pretty girl, and so sweet. She might not be a puppy but she sure knows how to work those puppy-dog eyes! After their morning group time was over, they both went inside and enjoyed their lunch time treat! A little later in the afternoon, Coby and Jasmine joined me in the playroom for some extra one-on-one time. It was pouring rain, so we decided to keep it indoors and hang out together. I showed Jasmine all of the toys in the playroom, and she picked up the rope and trotted around with it. Coby and I took a seat on the big comfy couch and snuggled while we watched Jasmine. She eventually joined us and gave Coby lots of big smooches!
Tallee has so much fun when she is out with the huskies! She spent her group time out with Justice and Magic again today and she had a blast racing around the yard. She started with her usual routine of saying hello to everyone before starting playing with the others. She started by sniffing around the yard while keeping an eye on the other dogs' activities. When no one was playing, Tallee made her way over to see Magic and placed a playful paw on her back. Magic jumped and ran as fast as she could with Tallee following close behind. This instigated a big game of chase and the other dogs were all eager to join in. What started as just Tallee and Magic soon turned into Tallee leading the pack followed by Riley, Haley, Monte and Justice. She zipped around all of the corners of the yard with the other dogs. She's so fast I could hardly keep up or guess where she was going next! Tallee did some big loops around the boulders in the agility yard and after the second or third go around, Riley caught on to her technique. Riley decided to turn around and run towards Tallee this time. The girls stopped and play bowed to one another before racing off once again. They finished things off by cooling their paws in the pool.
Caesar and Monte had a great day today! They started with their morning walk. The weather was very nice this morning so there was no protest from either of them to go. They walked with their friend Finnigan who is often in for daycare and spends time with these two cuties. After their walk, they both relaxed and laid on their beds. Ceasar was sleeping on the brown bed while Monte was on the beige bed. I walked by and almost didn't notice they were in there because they were both curled up in a ball on the beds which are the same color as them! When it was time to go out for groups, they were with some familiar faces. They shared the same group as they did before because all the dogs got along really well. Ceasar was extra cuddly today. He must know that it is his last day with us and wants to spend as much time by my side as possible! I was walking around and he came up from behind me and was pressing his head against my leg as we walked around. When I stopped, he kept his head there, waiting for me to rub his ears and pet his head, which I was glad to do. I then bent down and he sat down beside me, holding his head high with a big smile on his face. He and I spent quite a bit of time together during this outing. He stayed by my side no matter where I went in the yard and no matter who else came up to see me. Monte on the other hand was playing like crazy outside. At first he was a little confused on what to do in the yard because no one was quite playing yet. Once I saw him trying to get Haley to play with him, I picked up the frisbee and threw it across the yard and Monte lit up, and sprung from where he was standing to get it as soon as possible. I kept throwing it for him and after a while he stopped wanting to give it back so we started to play tug of war with the rubber toy. Monte was loving this! He was jolting me back and forth trying to win the game so badly! Eventually I let go and let him have his victory and he was so happy that he kept leaping up and ran right up to Ceasar to show him the prize that he won! There two are so cute and we will miss them dearly while they go home.
