Extra Attention
Millie was so ecstatic to go out with me for her extra attention. Once I got to her kennel she was already jumping all over the place just waiting for her chance to come play. We started her extra attention with some snuggling inside her kennel. She was right on my lap on her back waiting for a belly rub as soon as she could. She also got to enjoy a nice head and chin scratch. Soon after we were ready to go out front and play. I put Millie on the extra long leash in the front field so that she could have a bit more freedom. She immediately began racing around as far as she could for a couple laps before picking up a toy ball to start playing with. Millie and I went through a couple toys but she didn’t seem very interested in them after a few minutes. Eventually I found a rope toy and the two of us played tug of war for a good 10 minutes straight. I think I tuckered her out because she wanted to lay in the shade beside me for the rest of her time.
Gracie had another wonderful extra attention time today. She must’ve known that it was time for it as she was sitting patiently at the door of her kennel, waiting for me to get a leash on her and take her out. Gracie raced down the hallways with me following right on her tail and she was so excited to get outside and play. Once outside I put her on the long leash in the front field and she went crazy. The two of us raced around the field, as she was jumping all over the place and sometimes even got tangled up because she was moving all over the place. Eventually she got all of the crazy excitement out of her system and decided she wanted to do some tricks for me. Gracie excelled at her sits and downs, for a couple treats at least, and even wanted to roll over and shake paw for me! She seemed to love the little bone treats I was giving her today and was always ready to do another trick. Towards the end of her extra attention, she and I sat down on the grass and cuddled in the shade for a little while.
Feist and I started our one-on-one time in her kennel with some snuggles. She was happy to just lounge on her big bed and get some back and head scratches. She's such a snuggle bug! We then headed out the front door to go for a little walk. We didn't go too far since it was quite warm out, and so we headed back inside to the reception area. Feist said hello to little Julie and the two spent some time investigated each other. When I took out some treats, Feist was eager to show off her lovely sit, down and paw. She gobbled up a few little rewards and then took a seat next to me at the desk. Feist sat with her back to me so that I could give her lots more pets and attention. She eventually laid down on the cool floor and relaxed until our time together was up.
Groups
Millie went racing out to the agility yard. She stopped and turned around when she realized that the other dogs were still in the main yard. Millie went trotting back to where Domino and Percy were spending some quality time checking one another over. Once they were finished Millie and friends went running over to the fence by the tunnel. Millie was quite interested in checking out all the green stuff growing around the rocks. Percy and Domino went trotting off, while Millie, not wanting to miss anything, went racing after them. After a quick tour of the yard Percy made his way over to the pool. Millie was right at his heels and followed him right into the pool. Domino hopped in as well. With their feet wet and feeling a little cooler they headed off to do some exploring in the shade. Millie was quick to make her way back to the pool and hop in once more. She was quite happy hanging out in the pool when she spotted Magic racing around the yard with Domino. Not wanting to miss out on the fun Millie went tearing after them. Soon the whole group was having a blast playing in the tunnel.

Domino was so excited to make his way out
for group time. He came to a stop when he met up with Percy. The two of them
spent some time giving each other a very thorough once over. Once they were
done Domino and Percy continued on their way out to the yard with Millie
tagging along. Percy went running off to see what Justice and Magic were up to
by the fence. Domino decided to follow and see what was going on. They spent
some time thoroughly exploring the area. Once they were finished Domino and the
others decided to head out and check out more of the yard. Percy veered off to
hop in the pool closely followed by Millie. Domino, wanting to get in on the fun,
launched himself in to the pool to splash around. With his paws nice and wet
they hopped out and went to do some more exploring. Domino wandered off to see what Magic was up to. It wasn’t long before
the two of them were racing around the yard. Millie went racing over to join
them closely followed by Percy. It wasn’t long before it was the whole group
racing around and playing in the tunnel. Needing to cool off, Domino went and
joined Percy in the pool.
Percy launched himself out the door and
went to take off for the agility yard. He came to a stop when he met up with
Domino. They found each other quite interesting and spent some time checking
each other over. Eventually Percy and Domino went trotting out further into the
yard together while Millie tagged along. Percy spotted Justice and Magic looking
at something over by the fence and went trotting over to check it out for
himself. Domino and Millie followed after him. After everything had been
thoroughly examined Percy and the others went trotting off to check out more of
the yard. Percy then noticed the pool and was quick to go racing over and hop
in. The other two followed after him and soon all three were having fun in the
pool. Feeling refreshed, Percy hopped out to go and do some more exploring in
the shade along the fence line. He didn’t stay there long and was soon back in
the pool. Percy’s attention was caught by Domino and Magic playing. He went
racing over not wanting to miss out on any of the fun. Percy had a great time
playing with the rest of the group in the tunnel and racing around the yard.
Eventually he needed to cool off and retreated to the pool. Domino soon joined
him.
Caesar and Monte were excited to check utt
different yard than usual. They went trotting around with their noses to the
ground checking out every little thing. Monte was quick to go running out to
the far yard. I showed him the rope toy and he practically launched himself at
it. We had a quick game of tug before he was ready for a game of fetch. Caesar
eventually joined us in the far yard. He decided not to join his brother’s game of
fetch and instead continued on checking out the yard. Monte, noticing his
brother, went trotting off to see what he was up to. He then decided to head off
and do a little exploring of his own. It wasn’t long before Monte was back
wanting to play some more fetch. After one toss Monte decided not to bring it
back but instead shook the toy as hard as possible. Caesar took this as an
opportunity to come over and ask for lots of pets and ear rubs from me. After a
little while we retreated to the shade to cool off. I was spending some time
petting Feist when Monte noticed us. He came and wedged himself against me to have some pets of his own. Caesar decided to head back out and do a little
more exploring. Monte left me when he accidentally bumped into Sadie. It wasn’t
long before the two of them were having a blast bouncing around and wrestling.
Caesar seeing my hands free and demanded some more pets.
Maggie set out with a rather determined air
to her today. She set off and quickly put her nose to the ground to see what she
might discover. Maggie went all around the yard main yard before making her way
out to the far yard. She did a quick tour of the center of the yard but quickly
focused all her attention on the fence line. Maggie was determined to check out
all the crevices and cracks. She was also happy to sample some of the plant life
growing from those crevices and cracks. Maggie was so focused she didn’t notice when we all headed back to the main yard and the shade. Maggie
eventually joined us, but she wasn’t quite ready to give up the sun and
continued to explore around the yard. She soon saw me giving Feist
lots of pets and attention. Maggie, not wanting to miss out on her share of love,
came shoved herself against my legs. She was so happy to be getting lots of
pets and scratches.
Feist was all about the exploring. She was
quick to put her nose to the ground and set off in search of something
interesting. Feist went all over the main yard checking out every little thing
that caught her eye. Eventually she decided to make her way out to the far yard
to continue her explorations. Needing to cool off, we made our way to the shady
section of the yard. Fesit was then quite happy to make her way over to me and
demand some pets. She planted herself at my side and leaned against my legs.
Something in the yard caught her attention and Feist left me to go check it
out. Fesit wasn’t gone long and was soon back wanting more pets and attention.
I settled down so I could give her some cuddles as well. We drew the eye of
Monte who made his way over to ask for some attention of his own. Feist didn’t
mind him being there as long as I continued to pet her while petting Monte. If
I stopped she’d nudge my arm and make it land on top of her. Next we were visited
by Maggie wanting some loving.
Kouza and Lola had a slow day
outside in the hot sun today. Kouza was very excited to go outside, especially when I showed her a few kibbles at the kennel door. She and the other dogs trotted out the door with me into the yard. Lola was ahead of the pack and let herself out before all of the others did. When they both got
outside they stood at my feet, Kouza knew I had more treats in my pocket and
wasn’t going to greet the others until she got another one. After she sat and gave me paw she
strolled away to go explore. Lola was being very affectionate and rubbed her
head against my leg until I knelt down to give her some cuddles. She jumped
up and put her front two paws on my legs as she gave me lots of kisses. As I went
out to the grass yard they both followed me and began to explore around there.
Kouza kept her nose to the ground the whole time and sniffed around while Lola
wandered around with no place in mind she wanted to go. She found Pearl
sniffing along one of the fences and began to follow her around the grass. Whenever Pearl sped up Lola would run for a second then get tired and take a
break. It wasn’t long before she ended up walking back to the door to get some
shade. Kouza was thinking ahead of her as well and was already sitting by the
door. These girls had the right idea on a hot day like today.
Pearl is such a crazy girl. She
always has so much energy to burn off. During her walk this morning with Miko
and Tinkerbell, the three of them were all so excited to get outside in the sun
that they started to run towards the trail right away with out stopping to
sniff around first. Once we started walking, Miko and Pearl’ slowed down to sniff along the trail as they went but that wasn’t the case for little
Tinkerbell. She kept on speeding up faster and faster as she just wanted to get
to the dogs up ahead of us to say hello. For Miko and Pearl that
meant that they had to walk a little faster as well to keep up but they didn’t
mind too much. During groups Tinkerbell was being playful with me right as I
walked out the door. She started to chase my feet and every time I lifted a
foot she would get even more excited so I grabbed a nearby rope toy. She loved it and began to run around in
circles as I spun it around me. She chased it for a little while until I threw
it across the yard and she bolted after it. Miko saw and ran over to check it
out, he sniffed it for a second before Tinkerbell picked it up and briought it
over to me to play a game of tug-a-war.
Miko was in such a good mood out in the yard today and was being such a good boy for me. He usually takes off like a flash of lightning right out the door, but today he decided to walk over to me and give me some kisses as he laid down beside me in the grass. I pet him for a while as Pearl ran over to get in on this action. She always runs as fast as she can over to me as soon as she sees me petting another dog. Miko didn’t like how my attention towards him got divided though and decided to go run off and play. He ran over to the big hole in the ground and jumped right inside of it. Tinkerbell skipped over and watched as he was digging very curiously. Pearl decided to go and wander around with Lola. She likes to run around her in circles as she stands and watches her sister's antics. I called Pearl back over to me but instead of coming to see me she walked over to the fence and began to explore along there with Lola.

Gracie
is such a sweet girl. She loves to show off all of her tricks especially when
treats are involved. When we got into the yard today she was greeted by so many
dogs that were also in her group. Everyone was taking it easy in her group, lounging to keep cool. She started wandering around at first and sniffed along the fence where
some of the others came up to her to say hi. Issy was doing her own thing out
in the yard just like she usually does but today she walked right up to Gracie
to say hello and give her a little sniff. Gracie was pleased and began to
follow Issy around but as soon as Issy turned away she continued to explore on her own. She would walk around the agility tunnel a
bunch of times and peek her head inside but never ended up walking through. I
called Gracie over to me a lot and she would run right over with her tongue
hanging out of her mouth and a huge smile on her face as she trotted over. I
got her to do some tricks for me out in the yard for some treats. She was
loving all of the attention. I tried to get her to hop inside the pool as some
of the other dogs were jumping in and wandering around it but once she got up
to the water she stuck one paw and decided to keep wandering.
Mocha kept it very relaxed in the yard for her group time today. As soon as she got outside she wandered around the yard for a bit to do her business as Issy ran over to the far door and Mocha hung back around the shady spot on the side of the building. She walked along the rocks and sniffed in between them to try and discover some new things underneath. When she was done she walked back over to the door where she sat in the sun for the rest of her time outside. I gave her some cuddles and eventually she went from sitting to lying down with her legs up for me to pet her belly, which she loved. Issy walked over to see what was going on and ducked her head in to get a quick scratch before walking off again. Almost all of the dogs hung around together in the shade until it was time to head back inside.
