Tallee had a great time with friends today. In the
morning, she couldn't wait to get outside. When she was outside for her first
outing, she leaped across the yard and went to the grassy part to sniff the
green plants growing along the fence line. After that outing, it was time for Tallee
to go on a walk. She walked with her two pals, Mel and Jasmine. They all
greeted each other when they first got leashed up. It really seemed as though Tallee
enjoyed her walk. She had so much fun leap through the tall plants on the side
of the trail. She leaped so high it made the other dogs turn their heads to watch
her. A little while later, Tallee went out for her next outdoor play time. She
was happy to see all of her friends again, and was even more excited when she
saw a new dog in the group, Oz. Tallee immediately ran over to sniff him. After
making friends with Oz, she saw justice across the yard and sprinted to him.
She pounced playfully in his direction, and justice swatted her away. She
pounced again at him, and they started to play. After playing, Tallee made her
way into the play structure in the yard. She sniffed around in it for a while.
To end off her time in the yard, she ran over to me while I was sitting on a
rock and got some cuddles.
Feist enjoyed many cuddles today. Bright and early in the morning, she enjoyed getting outside and wandering around in the nice weather. After that, it was then time for walks. Feist went for a walk with Molly N. A little while later, it was time for her next outdoor play time. When she got outside, she immediately started sniffing around the fence where there is long green grass. She saw me come towards her and she put her ears back and wagged her tail as she came over to me. Feist sat on my feet as I gave her ears a scratch. When I'd stop cuddling and petting her, she would dig her nose into my arm. I would then, of course, continue to pet her. She enjoyed resting up against me and watching the other dogs wander around the yard with me. Her friend Dragon came over to say hello to her. They sniffed each other's noses and dragon even went in to give her a kiss on the nose! Today for Feist’s extra attention we went for a little walk around outside and spent some time cuddled up in her kennel. After giving me a paw and laying down for some treats Feist gave out lots of kisses. She loves having someone to play with and give lots of pets, every time you pull your hand away she noses back at it! It is truly adorable.
Kouza had a great day today. This morning she was happy to wander around the yard sniffing around from her very first outing. She also got some cuddles from me, of course. She was so cuddly and had her ears down as she came over and tried to lick my face. However, they’d always perk up any time I’d talk to her. After that, Kouza got a short walk with a new friend Mocha and I. Kouza took it nice and slow this morning as she went out for her walk, making sure to always stop and sniff when necessary to her. A little later on, it was time to go outside again. She seemed happy to be outside and wandered around for a while before coming over to me. Kouza gave me kisses as soon as she had realized that I was outside. She was very entertained by all the others from watching them all play around her, when they were playing around and I was taking pictures she would start barking until I gave her more kisses and love. She was being so good today too and went right back into her kennel and sat down on her bed. She came and barked at me then sat near my feet. I made sure to always give her lots of love which made her very happy.
Monty had an excellent start to his morning with some warm cuddles on this damp and chilly day. I saw him all snuggled up on his blanket and just couldn't resist going into his kennel to give him a quick belly rub. He was still quite sleepy so he just flipped over onto his back with his tail slightly wagging. I opened up his kennel door for he and I to join his group outside and he trotted out before me, ready to go see what awaited him outside. Monty was in a more playful group
today so it was always fun to see who he was hanging around with. During this first group he seemed to not be able to just choose one friend and went to almost all of them just to say a quick good morning. Monty was very excited for his walk this morning and showed us with his confident voice. He waited patiently for the most part but definitely let us know it was time to hurry up so that he could get out and explore the trail. Monty didn’t really seem to care who he was walking with but was instead focused on his nose which led him everywhere. He almost got all tangled up just because he was following scents in so many different directions. I think Monty was pretty happy that we had switched up his group a little bit so that he could meet all of the new friends just waiting for him outside. Monty went outside for his outdoor play group completely ready and ecstatic to meet all of the fresh faces that were now in his group. He immediately went to greet every single one with a sniff all over. Soon after, he tried to play around a little bit with the other dogs but ended up joining me while playing with a few different toys. Monty especially enjoyed playing with a rubber toy bone for quite some time. Except, every time I threw it, he’d run over to it and just look at it while waiting for me to throw it again without bringing it back to me.
Cobe and Jasmine spent their days in completely different ways for the most part. This started right from their very first group as Jasmine went booking it out the door looking for something to sniff as soon as she could. Cobe made his way out much more slowly and quickly found me to lift him up for some snuggles. Jasmine ended up finding a particularly interesting scent on the ground and stopped her running to check it out. After that she was all about the exploring. However, they were both ready to come in to have a quick lay down before their morning walk. The little duo enjoyed their good- paced walk together but didn’t actually spend that much time paying attention to one another. Jasmine made her way out as far as she could into the long grass with her nose to the ground in search of something super interesting. Cobe let her go content to stay walking right beside me and tried a couple times to convince me to lift him up. Eventually, he decided to set out and do a little exploring of his own. This quickly came to an end as he came back over to try once more to get me to carry him. This time I let his succeed and picked him up to cuddle him for a short part of the rest of their walk. Jasmine ended up getting a bit jealous so I put him down and they finished their walk together. During their outdoor play group, Cobe had a bit more pep in his step as he bounced out the hallway following closely behind Jasmine. Jasmine also leapt out of the hallway as soon couldn’t wait to get back into the yard to start searching for some new smells once again. Her day completely revolved around her nose. Cobe was very interested in Jasmine for the first half of his outdoor play group. He was always making sure that he knew exactly what she was doing and where she was as well. Soon enough he left her side and ventured out into the yard. Cobe met up with one of his best friends Ryder and the two hit it off just like usual. As soon as Ryder saw Cobe in the yard, he raced right over to him for a little greeting at first. The two boys sniffed each other for such a long time before they decided it was time to play. Cobe was so funny when he was trying to play because he’d always look as if he was trying to bounce right off of Ryder. Ryder would return to gesture by chasing Cobe around the yard until they would meet again for the same rambunctious scene all over again. Ryder and Cobe are so compatible because of their size and their spirit. The two little boys are so very playful and when we put them together it’s perfect! Ryder was on a very exciting fast paced walk this morning. He was waiting for me in his kennel like it was the most important thing in his life at that moment. I could just see the excitement in his eyes as I walked up to his kennel to put his leash on. Once I did Ryder was off like a bullet, out the door and into the yard. He sped to the end of his leash and was ready to go go go! He did quite a few things during this walk of his which included, sniffing, playing and definitely getting all tangled up in his and his other friends’ leashes. He’d race from side to side on the trail, always taking his time to bounce in the tall grass and make sure he came back to see me for a quick pick me up (literally) and also a quick pet. Overall Ryder had another excellent and cuddly day.
Nymeria was super excited to see all of her friends again today! She ran right out the door with the others close behind her and went racing to the far yard. At first she wasn’t quite sure what to do with all of her energy and just ran around in circles. I found a rope toy for her to play with, and immediately Nymeria was at my feet, jumping and dancing and waiting for me to throw it. She went bolting after it as soon as she saw me go for it, and instead of me picking it up, she got it off the ground with her mouth. It was quite funny to watch her dive for it. Once I got it back from her, our games of tug-of-war began. She tried with all her mite to get it from me but I matched her pretty evenly and sometimes even won. After a few more rounds of tug-of-war, Nymeria paused for a break and cuddled with me for a bit. We headed over to the tunnel where I managed to persuade her to put her head in, and soon after that she went all the way through. This continued for quite some time as she loved running back and forth through it. Every time that she’d come out, Nymeria would prance around as if she was trying to show the others what a good job she did with it. After that, she was ready to play again. This time I showed her a little red toy. She thought this was amazing, and wasted no time grabbing it out of the air when I tossed it to her. Nymeria then carried it off to show all of her friends. I’m not sure this was such a smart move because all of her other friends quickly decided that they wanted to play with it instead and this of course led to a big game of chase. Syrus joined her in this game and couldn’t even think of leaving her alone after wards. As soon as he saw her enter the yard with the toy in her mouth, it was game time. Syrus immediately pounced at her trying to get the toy away from her as fast as he could. He was racing behind her through the yard but couldn't quite get it from her. Nymeria ran straight through the tunnel which left Syrus behind since he didn't want to go into it. That soon became her little hiding spot as she knew he wouldn't follow her in. Eventually, after some frustration, Syrus decided he was brave enough to run through. Once he got otu he looked so very proud and almost looked as if he was showing off to all of his friends. When he wasn't playing with Nymeria, Syrus played with a variety of his other friends and always loved getting attention from them. He loved to play tackle as much as he could and he found just the right friend to do it with, a new addition to his group. Syrus loved his new friend and constantly play tackled with him until the very end of his group where he wanted some attention from me. I gave Syrus a short back and chin scratch before he was content enough to go back inside.
Max E was so sweet this morning and I was very lucky to be able to walk him this morning with his pal Syrus. He was very excited to be outside and ran to the end of his leash so that he could get more time to explore in the tall grass that had some wonderful new smells from the rain these past few days. Syrus was right beside him and the two boys let their noses be in charge for the most part of their walk. At one point, they both even bumped heads because they were so focused on the smells in the grass. This lead to a quick play fight, which was of course initiated by Syrus. They both had their turns tackling and also getting tackled before the walk was over. Max also took some time out of his exploring to come visit me where he got a few pats on the head before heading back up front with Syrus. When our walk came to an end he said goodbye to his pal before going for a nice needed nap. His nap didn't last too long because it quickly came time to go back outside for groups. He couldn't wait to meet up with everyone and right as he got outside he ran around everyone before going back around to greet one of the new dogs. Max E met up with some of his other friends too and had a fun time exploring with them. His outdoor play group was definitely the funnest part of his day because he got to play with all sorts of toys. The two of us enjoyed a game of fetch with a couple different toy bones and balls before ending the play time with tug-of-war. All in all he had a great day with me and all of his friends today.
Leah and Poppy are just the cutest little duo. The two girls had another excellent day today and I’m very sad that their stay is coming to an end soon. Leah was quite excited this morning when she first saw me making my way towards her kennel to let them out for their morning group. With Poppy following close behind, the two ran out of their kennel and straight out to their friends who were waiting for them. Leah must not have been awake enough yet because she didn’t seem to want anything to do with her friends in the yard. Leah simply just followed the length of the fence line with her nose. She was very pre occupied with sniffing that she didn’t even notice Poppy right behind her and when she quickly turned the two girls bumped right into each other, so silly. Poppy enjoyed watching Leah no matter what she was doing and made sure to always keep an eye on her. Poppy was definitely more interactive this morning. She trotted around the yard to make sure she greeted everyone before settling down beside me. I gave her a good back scratch before the two of us went our separate ways. This time Poppy went to see Leah and spent the rest of that morning outing with her. The two girls were quite excited for their walk this morning and were both bouncing in their kennel just waiting for me to take them out. Once outside, they both raced to the ends of their leashes and let their noses take charge. Poppy enjoyed prancing in the long grass while Leah was on the completely different side sniffing away. At the start of their outdoor play group, Leah and Poppy didn’t seem to want to move into the grass yard with all of their rambunctious new friends. Poppy seemed a bit more intrigued than Leah as she would bark at them if they were all racing around. She really seemed to want to join them but just needed the extra push to get started. After a bit of coaxing, Poppy joined them for a trot around the yard before she decided that she would actually much rather stay with Leah. Leah eventually took her turn with the rest of the group as well but decided the same thing. For the rest of their outing, the two girls followed all the playful chaos that was occurring within their group but just to watch. They seemed very interested in what each of their friends were doing. Towards the end of their group the three of us sat in the grass while I gave them each a good pet.
Mel is such a silly guy. He was very excited to get outside and go on his walk today and bounced right out of his kennel. As soon as he met up with his two friends Tallee and Jasmine, I could just see his excitement level raise even higher than before. The two girls gave him plenty of attention which he always desires. He looked very funny on the trail as he was trying to get attention from them but at the same time was trying to hop away. Mel was such a tease on his walk while doing this. He loved to get the two girls all amped up and running in circles then he’d go completely off on his own and sniff in the long grass. This made for a pretty eventful and tiring walk for the three of them, and especially me. By the time they got back inside, Mel trotted back into his kennel and lay right down to have a short nap. When it came for his outdoor play time, he loved to sit in the sun and soak it all up as he wasn’t quite in the mood to play today I even had a little red toy that I was trying to throw for him but he wasn’t in the play mood today. For the most part he stayed by himself as he roamed around the yard but towards the end of the group he got a ton of attention from me which he just couldn’t get enough of. He would constantly nudge his head against my leg in order for me to give him as much attention as possible. Every time I would call out to him, it was followed by a quick bum wiggle as he raced over to get more and more attention. He looked as if he was smiling up at me a few times while I was petting him.
Charlee, Roxy and Trixie are always like the three little musketeers around here. The little ladies began their day with a pleasant walk, where they mostly all remained side by side throughout. However, there were some instances where they split up for a second or two. Charlee was darting back and forth, looking for something interesting to sniff, and whenever she got too far behind the others she would go racing after them. It was so funny watching her chase after them, just like a little pillow of fluff following them close behind. Roxy and Trixie remained at the end of ther leashes for the most part of their walk, always keeping their minds focused on all the different smells out in the feild. On the last stretch of the walk, the three of them got a sudden burst of energy, and Roxy pounced on Trixie, who then took off ahead. They all ran circles around me while I attempted to keep the leashes organized. Roxy and Trixie both took turns tackling and bouncing off of one another while Charlee followed shortly behind. She kept jumping in for her chance to play and would then come see me before she'd continue to play. By the end of their walk they were ready for a short nap. When it came time for their outdoor play group, Charlee was so excited to get outside and start playign once again. She raced right out of her kennel and into the yard to meet all of her friends. She immediately greeted all of her old and also some of her new friends before trying to find where Roxy and Trixie ended up. Roxy and Trixie were a bit slower to come out as they were all cuddled up on their beds. Once they woke up they hopped out of their kennel and were both ready to get outside and soak up the sun. Once Roxy got out she stuck her nose right up in the air to catch a breeze of the warm summer smells. Trixie was right behind her but she was already sniffing the ground. These two girls spent their outdoor play group time doing what they love best; sniffing along the fenceline to see what they could possibly find. Charlee found them while they were sniffing and tried to join but I could tell that she had gotten a bit bored of smelling. Soon enough Charlee took off into the yard like a bullet. She raced around everyone and everything for quite a few laps before deciding she wanted to come sit with me up on the picnic table for a little bit.
