Syrus is such a happy boy and he just couldn't wait to go outside and explore the yard with his friends. He bolted out the door in excitement trying to be the first one out so that he could discover all the cool things before anyone else. Prancing along the fence line with his nose to the ground he noticed a strange smell that he had to follow. All around he went following this strange scent that led him over to where one of his friends was already scouting the area. Being the good boy he is he decided that it would be no fun to search alone so he decided to join his friend in the search. He had lots of fun and found the most amazing smell which he would have to go back and check out later in the day. After his group time it was time for him to make his way up to the groom room for his spa day. He thought it was so much fun and was prancing around showing off his looks to his friends since he just looked so cute.

Joey and Giacomo are such sweeties and love to cuddle especially first thing in the morning after breakfast. Joey just loves to rub himself up against you while he's getting ear scratches while Giacomo love to sit beside you as you pet his back. Sadly I couldn't stay for long since it was time for walks, but luckily I got to see them shortly after during groups and they were both so excited. Joey couldn't help running around back and forth through the yard past all his friends. Giacomo was a little quieter than his brother so off he went to go explore with some of the others. Joey played with one of his friends for a little while before running to get his brother's attention to show him what he was doing. Giacomo thought it looked like fun but was more interested in his exploring. They both came over for some cuddles during group time before running off to continue what they were doing. They both had a great time outside doing their separate things.

Mel is such a cutie and I was lucky enough to take him for a walk today on the trails with one of his good friends. He was very excited and loved the feel of the grass as he ran through it during his explorations. He ran back to see me a few times with his tail wagging so I decided to give him a pat on the head. We got back to the kennel and it was time for him to take a nap before group times so he could run around all over again with his friends. When it was time for groups Mel couldn't contain his excitement anymore and ran outside not stopping until he could feel warm sunlight on his back. Once outside he ran around with his nose glued to the ground taking in all the new scents of the day and seeing if there was anything interesting. His search came up empty so instead he came over and cuddled with me for the rest of the time - he's such a good cuddler! Mel had a wonderful day today and loved all the extra attention he got.

Rex and Fez were both so full of energy and were very excited this morning when they got to go outside with their groups. Fez barked in excitement this morning when I walked outside so he decided to waddle over to get some cuddles. His tail thumped against the ground in happiness as I rubbed his ears then rubbed his belly. Rex was more interested in his friends and running around with them then coming for cuddles like his brother. Rex ran around with one of his best friends and they would stop every now and then to wrestle together before taking off again. Fez had lots of fun meeting up with some of his friends and roaming around with them just enjoying the outdoor time. After groups it was bath time for both Fez and Rex and first up was Fez. He looked so handsome after his bath and came over for some cuddles right after which ended up getting me wet since he wasn't completely dry yet. Rex also looked good after his bath and he happily ran around everywhere showing how much he loved how clean he was.

Poppy is so sweet and I love getting to see her every time I go into the kitchen and sit and spend some time with her. She loves when I give her lots of cuddles and her favorite is when I sit and pet her ears and give her tummy rubs. When our cuddle time is over we head outside with all of her friends. She ran around excitedly smelling everything that she could, trying to take in everything at once. She found something that looked interesting and spent some time smelling around the area when her friend Syrus joined her to help find the source of the smell. They couldn't find it so instead she came over to me to get some extra cuddle time before going inside. She had an awesome day exploring and getting lots of cuddles.

Keegan was super excited to start the day off playing with his friends. Keegan couldn’t wait to get out for his walk this morning, as soon as we were out the door he ran straight for the grass to roll around, after a good roll he decided to go sniff around in the grass with some of his best pals. Once group time came around Keegan was so happy to be going out with his friends again, he made sure to spend lots of time sniffing around the yard but once he was satisfied he came over for a nice belly rub and some kisses, then as he waited to go back inside he chased his groupmates around the yard.

 On Olive's walk today she sniffed around the field looking for a place to take a quick roll around with her pals, and after she was done she munched on a few wild flowers before continuing on with her walk. Once group time rolled around, Olive was a little hesitant to leave her bed but as soon as she got outside she raced around the yard with a few of the other little dogs in her group. After taking a quick little sniff around Olive decided she wanted a belly rub so, over she came for a few rubs and kisses. After she was satisfied she went over to the pool to waddle around until it was time to go back inside.

Ryder had a very busy day with some of his best friends today.  He started it off with a fantastic walk in the field wandering around, munching on some grass and running around with his walking partners. Once group time came around Ryder couldn’t wait to get outside; he started his group off by chasing some pals around the yard, then he went on to sniff around and roll in some grass. He finished his group off by coming over for some cuddles and giving out some kisses.

Gracie spent her day in the staff room with Goliath, who is becoming a good friend. Taking full advantage of being in the staff room all day, Gracie got lots of cuddles and kisses. On her walk, Gracie spent most of her time sniffing around in the field stopping occasionally to play around with the other dogs.  After her walk Gracie took a quick little nap to get all of her energy back for her group. Gracie was so excited for her group today; she couldn’t wait to get outside again. As soon as she got outside she got right down to thoroughly inspecting the grass and the new holes dogs had dug before her. After sniffing around Gracie came over for some cuddles until it was time to go back inside.

As always, Gracie did really well with her training. I worked on all of her tricks with her today! I got her to crawl and it was so cute. Every time before now, I've been trying to get her to do it, but for some reason she gets really excited and gives me her paw. Today I told her to sit and then said Gracie "crawl", and she crouched down and crawled across the grass. Needless to say she got a very nice treat for that one! After that, we went through rollover, sit, down, stay and come. Gracie is such a smart girl. She knows which trick to do just by hearing it, without any hand gestures to guide her.
After her training, we both spent some time up front together. After her last visit with us, she has decided that the big chair in the reception area is her favourite hangout spot during the morning. After she goes around and sniffs up front, and says hello to the people passing through, she lies down in the chair and takes a little nap on the chair, curling up in a little ball, making sure that even her little toes aren't hanging off the edge. She is always woken from her slumber when it is time for her to go outside for her group. Today she was so comfy that she didn't go without a little protest, but she finally woke up and stepped off the chair and took a good long stretch before trotting down the hall to go outside with her friends. 

Xena had a great day with her brothers today. She started her day with a nice walk in the fields with them; they were all super excited to get out and sniff around in the field. However as soon as Xena got back she headed straight for her bed to rest up and she looked very cozy. When it was time for groups, Xena was rested up and extra excited to get outside. She started out by sniffing around the yard and playing with her brothers but as soon as she saw the pool she jumped right in and splashed around. Once she was done in the pool she hung out with her brothers and got some cuddles until it was time to go back inside.
