Cattery
Chief and Ziggy were enjoying their turn out in the room. Chief was happily cuddled into the hammock while Ziggy wasn't in sight. I gave Chief some pets then went to see if Ziggy was in his cubby. That was exactly where he was. As soon as Ziggy realized I was in the room he hopped down from the shelf in his cubby so he could demand some pets. I gave him some love then went to see Missy. She was curled up asleep in her cubby. I gave her a quick pet then left her to her nap. Ziggy wasn't finished enjoying being pet and was rubbing himself against me and most everything else in the room. I glanced up and spotted Chief sharing at me from one of the platforms of the cat tree. His look was clearly saying 'excuse me, I would like more pets'. After giving Chief some more pets I went to see Fawkes and Ekkaia. Both were cuddled up together. Ekkaia looked happy to see me and stuck his little tongue out when I pet him. As soon as I started giving him some ear scratches, Fawkes seemed quite content as well.
Groups
The first group of the morning were ready to get outside and get moving. Everyone went running
around saying hi to one another and tried to decide what they wanted to
do. Charly went racing off for the agility yard with Shenzi, Kaos, and
Ying on his heels. Just before they made it to the yard Charly spun
around and went racing back the way he'd come. Eventually we did make it
out to the agility yard, where Charly and Ying started to wrestle and have a
great time. Bandit had been running after them but was distracted by
Jack and went over to see what he was up to. Molly came running over
with the toy she had found. As soon as Jack noticed Molly and her toy, I had the two of
them at my feet waiting impatiently for me to throw the toy. Charly was
quick to join them for the game of fetch Off in another part of the yard
Brody found himself being asked to play by Kaos and Shenzi. Their
antics then caught Bandit and Ying's attention. It wasn't long
before Bandit and Ying noticed Molly, Jack, and Charly running
around and switched focus. Bandit and Ying took off to join them, meanwhile Kaos, Shenzi,
Brody were content to play by themselves. Shenzi later decided to take a
break from playing to come over for a visit with me. After she had had
enough pets she went racing off after Brody once more. Jack spotted Brody and Shenzi and the fun they were having. Jack then decided to take a break from fetch to see about joining them with Ying on his heels. Molly continued playing fetch with her pal Charly while her brother took off to join Brody and Shenzi. Jack's break was shortlived, though, and he rejoined Molly and Charly. Nearby, Kaos and Bandit met up. After giving each other a quick once over they started to bounce around and wrestle. Shenzi came racing over not, wanting to miss out on the fun. Shortly after, Ying joined the gang and jumped in on the action. All of the dogs in this group were full of beans!
The first group of little dogs was next to go out for play time. Cara was quick to set out to see what was going on in the yard. She was soon back to tell me all about what she had seen, chatting away with her little barks. Cara then spotted Brodie checking out something in the snow and decided to go join him. Ollie and Nanook had headed straight out to the far yard. Both were very interested in the changes to the yard. I joined them in the yard with Cara tagging along. Cara left me to go and check smells around the boulders and along the fence that faces the field. Ollie was quick to leave his exploring to come over for some pets and cuddles. Nanook saw Ollie and I and headed over to join us. While they were getting pets, Ollie and Nanook said hello to one another and they greeted Brodie as he hopped in as well. He stood and watched his sister as she moved around the yard, perched at my feet. I took this opportunity to give Brodie some snuggles, while Ollie and Nanook made their way around the yard. Ollie and Nanook met up again in the far yard and sprinted around together. Cara left her exploring to have a turn getting some back scratches and love. Brodie toured casually around the yard until it was time to head into the playroom.
Next up was the second group of littles. Maya couldn't wait to get outside and start playing. When it was time to head out after walks, Maya hung around the yard waiting for everyone and play bowing. Miko came charging back over from the far yard, not wanting to miss out on any fun. Rocky was hanging out nearby watching his sister's antics and soaking up the sun. Maya spotted him and went over to check in on him, taking a quick break from playing with Miko. Meahnwhile, Lola had made her way further into the yard. She stood waiting patiently for me to maky my way over to her. She hurried over to meet me in the middle and sat at my feet for some one-on-one time. Maya and Miko met back up and were soon ripping around the yard having a grand old time. As they went tearing into the far yard, Miko noticed Pearl over by the fence. Pearl was enjoying her usual pass-time - thoroughly checking over the yard. Miko went bouncing over to see what Pearl was looking at. He didn't stay too long, though, and was soon racing around with Maya once more. Emma was also in the far yard. She was doing a little exploring, but seemed more interested in watching what the others were up to. Pearl finally lifted her nose from the ground and noticed me watching her. She came wiggling over to get some pets and scratches. Pearl was so excited she couldn't stop moving! She bounced around in excitement, until something caught her eye. Pearl swapped with her sister, heading over to sniff around, while Lola took her turn with me. Maya eventually took a break from running with Miko to go and spend some time with Emma. Miko seemed okay with this and went off to join Pearl by the tunnel. I made my way to the main yard to see what Rocky was up to. I found him hanging out in the sunshine so I gave him some pets then left him to his relaxing. Shortly after, Miko and Pearl came charging through the yard with Lola on their heels.
Glenda Lou couldn't wait to start running around. As soon as she was out the door she was off. Gryphon was a little more interested in checking out the yard, but would tag along with his sister when she ran past. After going around the main yard a couple times they headed out to the agility yard where they found Maggie. She was off strolling around to all of the nooks and crannies of the fence. Maggie was soon joined by Mia who was curious as to what Maggie was looking for. Glenda Lou and Gryphon continued to race around with big grins on their faces. As they went racing past me, Glenda Lou decided to take a little break to come have some pets and cuddles. Gryphon was happy to continue on his own and went to follow his nose. It wasn't long before Glenda Lou was back to running around, while Maggie continued exploring.Mia branched off to join me as I watched the group. Maggie enjoyed a couple of ear scratches before she headed back out. A little while later she was joined by Merida and the girls roamed together.
Next up were mostly our daycare friends plus Maverick and Shyla. Bennie went all the way out to the far yard for the first few minutes and then joined the rest of his friends in the agility yard. As soon as I got him into the agility yard with the rest of the group, Bennie got the zoomies and went ripping around the yard. Percy saw Bennie racing around and joined him as fast as he could. Meanwhile, Maverick and Sadie were quick to start wrestling and running around together. Shyla, on the other hand, went trotting off to explore in the far part of the yard. She was joined by Finngan, Percy and Maverick shortly after, and Percy was soon bored and went back to racing around with Bennie. Maverick took a quick break from wrestling with Sadie and made his way over to me for some pets and cuddles. Percy and Bennie parted ways and Percy approached Scarlett, who was very busy playing with Finnigan. Shortly after, we made our way out to the far yard. After doing a little exploring, I followed the group back into the agility yard. Sadie and Maverick continued wrestling and running from one yard to the other. Percy was happy to bounce around and play commentary to the action. Sadie then turned to ask Wally to play. He was happy to do so and had fun wrestling. It wasn't long before Sadie, Percy, Maverick, and Shyla were ripping around the yard, passing by Wally and Sadie. Maverick was soon bouncing around with Bennie who was eager to play with him.
All but Mocha started in the agility yard. Mocha decided to make her way around the main yard first, before coming to have a visit with me. When Mocha headed back out to do some more exploring, I made my way to the agility yard to see what the others were up to. As I was heading out, Max came tearing out wondering where I was. He turned on his heel to go charging back to the agility yard when he realized I was coming. I found Issy off doing some exploring in the snow. She met up with Sky and the girls took their time to greet each other thoroughly. Riley was also off doing some exploring off his own, keeping an eye on the others. Kyah stood watching Max race around for a moment. When he ran close enough to her she launched herself at him playfully. The pair started to jump around and wrestle together. Max darted out to say hello to Sky before racing back over to play with Kyah some more. Sky then left them to join Issy as she went around the yard. Max now curious, went racing over to join them. He didn't stay long though and met back up with Kyah to play once again. After a little while I decided to try and get a nice picture of Max. He listened quite well and sat quite nicely, he just refused to put his ears up! Riley took a break from exploring and came over to get some attention from me. After some pets and scratches he headed back out.
Macie was so excited to get outside. As soon as we got out the door she started bouncing around my legs wanting lots of pets. Macie then went tearing off to see what Justice was looking at in the far yard. She said hello to her friend, and she seemed happy to see him again today. After their greeting, Macie's nose barely left the ground. Macie went all around the yard check out anything that caught her attention. Occasionally she met up with Justice and the two went around together.
Enhanced
Ollie
was quite eager to get started on his training today. We started
working on him sitting and waiting when he gets excited and wants to
jump up. Next we moved on to some basics. Ollie has an awesome 'sit' but
he likes to always present his paw as well. We then moved on to
'down'. Ollie still needs some work with that one. Next we worked on
some stays and recalls. Ollie did really well and impressed me quite a
bit, coming to me almost every time.
